{App - Appelflap} HTC eReader Books Importer - HD2 Android Themes and Apps

Hi, I understand that some of you guys run a port of the Desire HD rom... In that case this may be of interest to you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819077

Appelflap had started a thread which provided an app for importing books to the htc ereader. Here is the original thread..... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819136 Unfortunately at the time the ereader was not enabled and the thread died a natural death. Now that the ereader was enabled with the android Nand i hope the member can give us the app for use with the ereader.
The thread is now dead and hence I wish to revive it here for faster action. Such kind of app is very important coz the htc ereader has no other options other than to download books from Kobo

cool idea, but I don't reckon I'd be bothered to read a book on a screen as small as the TP2. I am old and have bad eyesight which doesn't help much
I think it's a great idea - reading on a small screen isn't too bad if it's displayed properly.
Only issue at the moment is the inability to add books to read! There is a tutorial that says how to do it, and after reading it briefly, I can't be bothered - I'll wait until it's properly supported.
Could end up good though!
you should send your request to your favorite chef, not make a new thread. if you want to check out the ereader tab i just released a rom with it in it, check then link in my sig.

Tubedroid

Does anyone have the last apk for it?
I originally bought it when it wasn't on the market, but lost it any help would be much appreciated.

I'd contact the developer for that app. Asking for paid apps here is a no no.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Google has long since banned any apps that download videos from Youtube. Apparently it was a violation of the user agreement. Hence the disappearance of a bunch of YouTube downloaders and built-in features from apps like Dolphin HD. You can however get rolle3k's YouTube Ripper here.
Sorry about that, need to read over the forum rules again. I'll be sure to check out YouTube ripper thanks guys.

[POLL] Android Dev Section for HTC HD7

Since the first Android ROM running on the HD7 has appeared, is it time to start making new sections for the HD7? We all know how much development the HTC Leo a.k.a. the HTC HD received and it is only natural to expect the HD7 to receive just as much attention from the developers.
So what are your opinions on this? Should there be an Android section? Please comment below...
The first Android ROM video for the HD7 is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Na44-qBtY8M&feature=player_embedded

Well we need more votes then just 14! C'mon people, exercise your right to vote
I voted yes. I would love to see a viable HD7/Android development section. It might help spur more development as well.

I knew there were people wanting Android on their HD7 , why not get the Inspire 4G, Thunderbolt, or EVO 3D...we'll never know
I only want it for bragging rights. I wouldn't actually use is as my main OS. More of a play ground to p!ss about with.
Yes. Android would be nice for HD7.

I need the Android port to my HD7... It was cheaper than the Desire HD, so I bought this one. The design of the HD7 is also far better, than the DHD's. But, the OS.. Unusable.. I bought it to use it, not to be connected to a PC whenever I want to do something with it.. There is no download option for files? Where are we? It's not a smartphone, if my very-very old SE v800i have much more abilities, than this one. No 3gp support. XD The most common mobile video file format. With Android I could use it as a smart phone, that doesn't need to be plugged to pc all the day and it could be a portable, mobile(!!) device.
AT LEAST I SOLD IT!!! back to the old Touch Pro 2 The WP7 is a horror...
HD7... Android... T-Mo.... CONFUSED!
So I called T-Mobile yesterday to see if I can get an android instead of my HD7 but it was a no-go for i have missed my 14 day return period but the person on the line told me that I could RUN ANDROID on my HD7 and it works and it can be done BUT it VOIDS my warranty (which I knew) and it's kinda timely and drawn out and to check XDA for ALL the answers to my questions but I have yet to find anything really useful. HELP PLEASE
P.S. I got the phone for free thats why I have it
[EDIT] sorry if it's in the wrong spot but I sick with a case of the N00bs

[Q] Upgrading Antique Version of Droid

I have a Nook HD 7". Although it's brand-new, it's running Droid v2.2.0. I'd like to upgrade it to something a lot more current. However, I'm not a technical IT person, though I am a 30-year user of IT, PCs, etc. In fact, I make my living on a computer. I don't know if the folks who man the 'Nook Section' at a B&N Store help people like me, but would I be better offf asking the Nook person there to help me upgrade to Droid v4.X vs. trying to wade through some highly technical--but I'm sure point-on--directions from this Forum?
Thanks very much.

Go to the dummies guide linked in my signature. And it is Android, not Droid.

Thank you. I read that before I made my initial post. Here is what I propose: if you will e-mail me off-line ([email protected]), I'd like to set up a time to talk briefly w/you by telephone. I will then commit to pay you to help me do what I read before I posted. Is that acceptable?

No, I am not interested in that. If you need specific help with an item in the thread, I will try to help.
Maybe someone else is interested.
Edit: And stock B&N software is not antique Droid 2.2.0 (Droid is a model of phone by Motorola). It is Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has been heavily modified by B&N and given their version number 2.2.0.The latest version of Android is an experimental Android 4.4 (KitKat).

Your point about Droid vs. Android is well-taken. I apologize. Good to know about KitKat. Thank you for that.
FWIW, I have seen Nook models on the web that claim to be running Android v4.X. That is what led me to the CM site first. I followed the instruction there to the letter and downloaded the requisite file--OneClick.apk. However, when I tried to install it, the Nook gave me this message: "This Nook cannot read this file. It may be an unsupported format." That's when I came here.
So now I'm scratching my head. I need expert help and am willing and able to pay for it. If anyone is interested in helping me, please either post your contact information or e-mail me directly at: [email protected]. - Warren Miller, CPA - Lexington, Virginia.

I don't know what that oneclick.apk is, but it has nothing to do with installing CM on a Nook HD/HD+. Follow the dummies guide I referenced earlier.
EDIT: If you can't or don't want to put the effort into updating the device yourself, you can go to a commercial site like N2Acards.com and they will sell you a ready made SD with Android for Nook already set up for you.
