The 2nd and 3rd are small unkown that refer to Storage Manager too.
The 4rth is the main uldr boot and the 5th a spare of this one.
The 6th is the service xip to the 4th/5th.
These are the structures of the 2 main XIPs [#4/#5] and [#6]:

Hi,
Some improvement has been carried out and post #1 is updated.
Thanks for supporting, ansar.

Thanks, keep it up

Checking this everyday now ))

I am looking forward to trying cooked ROM

new roms
will the roms for the Omnia work for the focus ? arent they basically the same ?

What will be the advantage of running a custom dinner on the Omnia chef?

Any update on this Ansar?
It would be pleasing to see something happening here, since the thread has been dormant for a long while now. If only we could get a ROM that is Debranded with NODO update and unlocked by default.
Oh well, I hope someone is listening to all this and is kind enough to reply.

With windows phone 7, "soon" it's 1 or 2 years ?
Sorry, i'm kidding, thank you for your hard work.

Forget it
It is ain't HTC then it won't get hacked! Especially now when the new Mango Phones are relesed.
Bye bye unlocked custom Omnia 7 ROMs

They will work but according to someone who flashed a retail Omnia 7 ROM on a Focus the button mapping didn't matched.

Android on a HTC Touch Viva

Hi Folks,
I use a HTC (Touch Viva T2223), I was not sure if this Vogue or Opal. (I have a RAM – 128 MB, Flash Size – 256 MB). Can you please redirect me to the download link of the Android Kernel.
I am not aware on flashing my mobile. Please let me know, how do I do the same. Will the language setting be a problem? I am referring to the keyboard layout.
Also, it would great if you can share information on how do I go back to Windows Mobile, if I had any problem with Android? How will I load Windows on it again?
Thanks in advance for clarifying my queries.
Cheers'
Vijay
Viva = Opal
At the moment, there are now Android builds for Opal. The only thing on these
forums related to Linux is this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=462188
I only got my device less than a week ago, but I'm planning on experimenting with this when I can. However, I'm still far from being an expert. So I'm not sure how helpful I'll manage to be.
hmmmm...Thanks for your reply dude!!
Well, dont we have a kernel for our mobile Yet? Doesnt the same build of Touch fits in?

Apparently there are three "Touch"s: "Vogue", "Elf" and "Elfin".
Vogue has a different processor so it's useless. Even though Android can run on it right now.
As for the other two, the difference between them is RAM and ROM sizes. The ELF has less than the min required for running Android so it's a no go.
And nobody managed to get Android to work on Elfin yet (at least as far as I managed to find). Although it's running another Linux build.
Great to know that, the progress is being made..and now we hv a linux on.
Things which amazes me is, HTC touch with lesser RAM, is running Android.!!
Well, Do we have any basic requirements for loading Android OS? I mean, required RAM? Does the email in Android support Microsoft Exchange server?
Heylo Folks.. Any luck on Android for our Opal?
I have one now and guess if its possible.. there is a video that shows it working :S

Android on HTC Touch Viva
Hi guys,
Sorry if any of this was addressed on any other forum (or thread); I looked around for a little while but couldn't find it...
I have a HTC Touch Viva (T2223 - Opal) running WM6.5 after flashing it a couple of months ago. Battery issues appart I'm quite happy with it (sort of, since the only improvement was really the looks on the GUI and now my keyboard is limited to English only). However, this Android thing has been banging on my head and I am looking for a ROM that will make it on my device.
Any clues were I can find it?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,

I think what D#1 is that if Android is available for opal itself right now.
Well to that question the answer is yes and no, yes because it exists and is functional and no because its not complete and has umpteen number of glitches. Ppl have been working on it for sometime now and I think we need to show them some appreciation for their consistency even with no incentive at sight.

Hi, thanks Mr. Zeus... Does that mean I should revert to the original WM 6.1 ROM prior to try to run android on my device?
If so, is there any place I can retrieve the 6.1 original ROM for the touch viva t2223?
Thanks for your time (and patience for my newbie questions)

Image of complete phone as backup?

Dear all,
sorry to ask this question in this part of the forum , hope the question fits here.
Is it possible to do something like an "image" of the complete phone, that can be flashed again as a kind of backup or as rollback when trying new ROMS.
So, practically a methode to backup the complete phone before testing a new ROM, and in case the new one doesn't work to roll back completely to the status before.
Is this somehow possible?
Thsnks and sorry if this is a stupid question ;-)

Hi,
I´m using "Sprite Backup" to create an image of my actual rom. It worked fine for me, but it is not free. Maybe there are free solutions too?
Best regards
Lars
Hi,
looking on the sprite homepage, I'm more talking about the "cloning" than the backup...just that I do not need to have variables in my clone image...just a one to one image, that can be later on applied again....

Yes, Sprite is the best, I use it long time....Man can restore image not only for different ROMs, but differrent WM Devices too (Merge Level 2 or 3) !!!.

Yes, sounds like Norton Ghost of PPC.
Now, if miro666 will share in details, what's this amazing merge ROM Level 1 does which supposedly 'merge' Dutty's HG6 with TESS LEO I? Really mind boggling..how is it up till this very second? any complication? please share in details. thanks.

Maybe the sbp backup can do the same for me....testing some Roms, and if I dont like it, g back to the last working setup....
Thanks for all your feedback

MTTY
In the good ol' days (htc typhoon) you could create one bin file of the phone. If you wanted te revert back to that image you could flash de bin file back thru SD card.
Now there is still MTTY but now it creates 3 files wich have to be recooked into one nbh file (if i am not mistaken)

Hello,
is there anything like Sprite but freeware or at least less expensive?
I'm a student and can't afford a $300 program. But the features sound so awesome! Especially if you're changing ROMs very often...

That is one of the things I miss about having an Android phone. There is a backup and restore function built in to recovery image built by Amon_RA. It's too bad we can't have something like that for WM.
I have used Sprite in the past and it has caused me some grief, but only when switching devices.
It's not an important enough feature for me to pay more than a few dollars for anyway.
What about ...
can you not dump your rom and achieve all the setting??
Thanks

What he means is that you can restore from different ROMs and devices.
These settings don't actually merge the ROMs, they limit certain system files from being overwritten on restoral.
I find, at least with SPB backup, its less than perfect.

Love your ROM for being lite. A very nice surprise (I've forgot how nice is the bounce back effect at the end of a list; sad that Microsoft didn't use it for 6.5.x builds). Thank you!
It was funny to read the introduction. It's sad that some people didn't understood your game. I was hoping to see the funniest thread.
(The Opera Mini is in Romanian, or is because of my settings; when I've installed opera mini myself it was in English, even with the same settings. Nice lock-screen)
Cheers!

Hi I would love to see a new cook for HD
A rom which I would love to see cooked but cannot find would be like:
WM6.1 with the newest TF3D/Sense/Manilla possible, Neos 2010 signed drivers, mort script, bgforall, 4/5 grid start menu, android stock black icons, su2u lock, in a normal build (not lite or heavy)
I would love it if you would consider cooking a rom like this! !
Hey Dude, I would love to see ur work for HD ... but brother ... I have not found yet something ... which is beautifull and also fully loaded ... I dont know how U guys manage it ... but ..
