Looking for calendar app with birthdays from contacts - HD2 Android Themes and Apps

Hi, is there any app, which can show the birthdays of my contacts in the calendar?
I don´t want to sync with my google calendar, i only want to show the birthdays.
On windows mobile there was an app called "TodayAgenda" which had this functionality.
Is there something similar on android? Now i use calWidget, but there i can´t show my birthdays.

I would like this as well.
Further, the addition of birthdays to calendar from synced facebook contacts. I there is no such app, I bet one would be a big hit! This is not the first time the question has come up. Devs???

+1 too.. sigh.. I'm too spoilt by SBSH Touch Calender in WM6.5.
It has agenda view, complete with Date, Day, Appt Start/End time, Appt Location, Birthday and Task!

There is an application fbcal
http://www.fbcal.com/
You can make an ical of birthdays of your friends, create a new google calendar and import it there which would sync with android calendar. That's what I have been doing and it works okay so far.

I use Geburtstage - Frei from the Market
If you like it with Pic then use Geburtsag Info Widget
They are both Free Apps and German.
Ghostrider

I know the possibility to include birthdays manually in google calendar, also the extra widget on homescreen.
But that is NOT what i am looking for. I´m looking for reading birthdays out of my contacts without anything to do and showing them in the calendar.

Just open your calendar app an android and push the menu button, the select more > Calendars and select Contacts' birthdays and events
and your contacts birthdays are shown in your normal calendar

I don´t have this in my mdj gingerbread 2.6 rom.
I want to have a widget for my homescreen where i can see many events, not only the next one like on native android calendar.

theres a great one on the market and its free, its called Schedule St, by elecom. it links to you googl calender, has birthdays from contacts and shows public holidays.

i just sync my FB account, contact & calendar,,
after doing that my default htc calendar show all of ny friend birthday

Sorry, but where can i sync this program with my contacts? I don´t want to import all birthdays to my calendar, i just want to show them in it, but if i open my calendar on another device, my birthdays should not be seen there.

Try aCalendar - I just released it to the Android Market today!

[QUOTE = Bib_x; 10929958] Hola, ¿hay alguna aplicación, que puede mostrar los cumpleaños de mis contactos en el calendario?
No quiero sincronizar con mi Google Calendar, sólo quiero mostrar los cumpleaños.

Extremely simple to add contact birthdays to calendar if you have a google account.
1. Open you gmail on a computer
2. Click on calendar on top
3. Left side- Other calendars- Add- browse interesting calendars- More- Contact's birthdays and events (choose subscribe)
And done! If you have the birthday fields of tour contacts filled in the correct format, the birthdays will show in your phone's calendar after the next sync. Ensure you are syncing the right calendar on you phone, that's all!

I know that, that but i want to have the age of my contacts displays too.
With gmail calendar i only get "xxx has birthday today".
I want to have it displayed like that: John Doe (25)
But that is not possible with gmail.

This one can show the age.

Facebook events and birthdays in HTC Calendar.

When my HTC Hero(GSM) was ky primary phone, I remember that I could have birthdays show up in the calendar, so I do not have to go to the Facebook application to see them. It was default on the hero but I can't figure out how to get it to work.
Also, I found myself envious of the new Blackberry Torch because through blackberry messenger, it adds your Facebook events to your calendar automatically. Does anyone know of a way to add this as well?

Two ways to do this that i have found.
One is to go to facebook on a the computer. Export the calendar, and then Import it into your google account. bleh
What i found today i think will do what you need.
Ebobirthday
can be found in the market. This will log into your face book account to sync with Birthdays. Then you can have it sync with the calendar inside the phone.
Hope that helps you somewhat.
This is sort of what I'm looking for, I still feel like there is a way to do this without having to resync that calendar information. Already in the phone if you pull up a contact, it does give the contact's birthday information, but for some reason it does not include that information in the calendar like it did on the Hero.
That app is a good temporary solution until I figure out how to get it to work just the way I want it. Thank you!
Edit: Playing around with it, I found a section in the menu that lets you add Calendars. In order for my Hero to have been able to sync birthdays to the calendar, there had to have been a Facebook calendar in that list, and there isn't one now. So I think to solve my problem it is just a matter of figuring out how to add Facebook to the HTC Calendar.

Contact's birthdays and syncing with calender

Does anybody know how to get the birthdays of your contacts to sync with your calender?
or...
How to get facebook birthdays to sync with your calender?

Something has to put the birthday in the calendar. If you sync with Exchange, and set up your contacts wtih Birthdays, Outlook will add them to the calendar. Google doesn't do this, but there are some tools to do it:
http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/2009/07/birthday-calendar-for-google-contacts.html
Since Facebook doesn't have a calendar, I see no way to do it automatically. All the above methods rely on the contact app to talk to the calendar app within one application suite.
If you have Google/Gmail contacts and you have all their birthday information entered there. The easiest way is to go to Google calendar on a desktop. Then you would go to the Calendar settings, click on the Calendars link, and then click where it says to "Browse interesting calendars". This will take you to a page where it has the options for Holidays, Sports, or More. If you click more, there is a "Contacts' birthdays and events" calendar that you can subscribe to. Once subscribed, you can then select it as one of the calendars to sync on your phone to the calendar app.
Sounds complicated and maybe it is for some, but it was not for me. Hope this helps.
"EboBirthday" from Android Market does exactly what you're looking for perfectly and you don't have to worry about syncing with anything outside of the contact list on your phone.

well... kind of...
when you turn your phone off, and turn it back on... all the birthdays dissappear from the calender and you have to run EBOBIRTHDAY again... which takes a few minutes if you have a lot of contacts...
ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS?
Hmm. This didn't happen to me and I've had it practically since the phone came out

Meh. I still prefer the Google contacts and calendar method.

calendar birthdays..?

I was wondering if there was something I can download or do which will automatically set the upcoming birthdays on my calendar.... My old phone did this.. Even without me automatically inputting it... It basically used the Facebook and had the birthdays appear on the mobile phone's main calendar... Hoping that there is something similar for that..
Google Calendar can be used for this but you would have to add all the birthdays into your contacts in google mail, then subscribe to "Contact's birthdays and events" under "browse interesting Calendars" which can be found under the "add" menu at the bottom left of the page when in google calendar.
Hope this helps
That's not really relevent to WP7 though...
@ProjektFuze Funny you should mention it though i was thinking the same thing yesterday. Hopefully it will be an available feature in the next update.
You can sync Google calendar with wp7, so what ever you add on your pc will show up on phone.
That may be true, but they still won't show in in the WP7 calendar and you'd still have to manually create an appointment or something. As i said, hopefully the update due early next year will provide this much needed feature.
Birthdays are showing in my calendar on HTC hd7.
Will post my settings when I get home.
If you have your contacts in outllook with birthdays set, then you need to export your outlook calendar (csv file) and import it into google calendar.
Birthdays will now show in wp7 calendar.
If you dont have all your facebook contacts in outlook then you could try this -
There’s an app called “Export Friends” that will save you friends names, city, birthday and their current location in a CSV (text) file that you then import into Excel, Gmail or any other web email program.
http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=32853197098
You might need to import it into outlook first, then export the outlook calendar into google calendar.

[Q] Tasks and Birthdays

What's the best way to manage tasks and birthdays on Froyo?
Tasks like things I have to do but not necessarily on a specific date but like "do it this week".
For birthdays, enable the special calendar in Google Calendar site and the phone will sync them.
Use gtasks for google tasks.
for birthdays i just sync with my google calendar which i have entered all my people's Bdays into.
for tasks i'm lame. i just schedule an event on my calendar for certains days during the week like "pay phone bill" on wed 11-11:30. works for me and i get the notification reminder and all.
I use gtasks too but I would love if they are shown in the calendar somehow...
for the birthdays I would like to be able to enter them with the phone, I do not want to use the calendar website
edit: I tried to use the birthday calendar on the website, but I can't add a date to it, its always added to my normal calendar...
okay I now got the birthdays into the calendar but they still do not show up on the phone, they do on google calendar website...
I hate that this feature is not implemented naturally on the phone.
even the cheapest phones have a build in calendar for birthdays...but an advanced phone like this not?
Using Astrid for tasks. Syncs online with Google Tasks, too.

You sure you hit the check box for The new calendar? I added all my contacts birthdays as their own calendar and just hit the check box for it.

[Q] App for facebook calendar?

I am using smoothCalendar on my homescreen, but is it possible to show up my facebook calendar there? In sense I can, because it implements facebook calendar as a calendar to my phone. But in CM, how do I do this? Anyone know an app to do that?

For birthdays im not sure because the last time I tried doing this facebook would not sync its birthdays with google calendar, only events. But for events and what not you can sync your facebook calendar through your gmail/google account online and then by syncing your google account to smooth calendar. That avoids having to use another app.
If you want to sync your fb birthdays calender with google calender . To work with Smooth Calander.. Use "ebobirthday" found in market..
I believe Gemini calendar will do this as well
Thanks folks. I found out that most easier way is; importing facebook birthday iCal URL to my google calendar. No need any extra application that way. Thanks @CallMeAria.
Sort like idea of get rid of application that way have more space.
Thanks CallMeAria.
