[Q] App for caller id become full screen and add rows on home screens and resize? - HD2 Android Themes and Apps

Can we install creations apps created by CHT editor or cookie monster's on Nand or sd card android builds, I've only use it on the WM base. I would like to resize my icons a bit smaller and have the option to have 9 Quick Link slots on the home screen arranged in a 3 x 3 grid or increase to number to 16 (4 x 4 grid) or 20 (5 x 4 grid).
Here the original link before the awesome creation of ANDROID on Htc Hd 2 Leo.
http://www.pocketables.net/2010/02/1...hd2-users.html
Can someone create an app that make the caller id full screen on incoming calls?

full screen caller id
I have a couple of full screen caller id in market but they have bugs any suggestions

Obviously, you can't run CHT on Android, so forget about that.
With Launcher Pro you can set how many rows and colums you want for icons on your home page. You can also resize widgets (in the paid version).

Efbiaye's VGA Diamond Theme 1.0.2 (February, 2nd) - SPB MS 2.1 (not upscaled!)

Hello ev1,
Since I was not satisfied with any existing VGA themes (most of which were upscaled from QVGA) I decided to do my own Diamond theme.
I tried to be pretty accurate while doing this theme, all icons, backgrounds etc. were prepared from the scratch by me, basing on numerous screenshots from Diamond TF3D.
I tested it over a week before releasing it to the public now. However, since I'm pretty busy with my day-to-day life, I don't plan to make any major changes to this theme, unless you discover some bugs.
Over 5000 downloads later, finally long awaited update! Comments for 1.0.2 version begin here.
Changelog:
v1.0.2 (February, 2nd 2009):
- additional (optional) layout configuration:
Layout C1 (based on Greatball's Diamond 1.2 layout C) - one contact page (for three contact pages use Layout C3)
- additional Porgrams buttons - GAMES and ACTIVE TASKS (necessery reg files included, all layouts are updated for this feature)
v1.0.1 (July, 31st 2008):
- additional (optional) layout configuration:
Layout B (based on Greatball's Diamond 1.2 layout B) - includes: Most Recent Used (MRU) tab - gesture switchable with Programmes tab; 3 contact pages;
Layout C3 (based on Greatball's Diamond 1.2 layout C3 Contact Pages) - similar to above but has no MRU page.
v1.0.0 (July, 28th 2008):
- full portrait and landscape support,
- every graphic (except for big weather icons) prepared from scratch for native VGA resolution.
Additional credits:
- layout based on Greatball's Diamond 1.2 Layout B and C3 (3 contacts pages) theme,
- QVGA to VGA theme conversion method by Mtkates,
- big weather icons were fractally upscaled from Greatball's new weather icon set used in 1.1 version of his theme,
- HTC for creating TF3D GUI.
Installation notes:
- backup your device/SPB MS dir,
- select desired layout,
- replace all files in your SPB MS dir with the files from my theme archive,
- if you wish to have GAMES and ACTIVE TASKS buttons in Programs tab, edit, according to the included instructions, and import necessery reg files on your mobile device (reg files are included in the package),
- restart your device,
- enjoy the theme.
Additional notes:
- the "Bigger photos in contact page by markfdr" mod will probably not work with C1 layout, as I used my original files,
- please note, that I have not tested the theme with latest SPB MS 2.1.4 build, so it may not work 100% correctly with it,
- I have noticed one or two people in some other boards crediting them selves for my theme... I MEAN COME ON, YOU DON'T NEED TO PAY A FRACKING CENT FOR IT AND YET YOU CLAIM IT'S YOURS!?
- If anyone wants to post it somewhere else, please include original link to this post, the same goes for other elements from this theme,
- as soon as clean my source .PSD files, I will release a pack of those, for people who would like to use the elements for other themes.
Todo:
- different background alternatives,
- weather icons prepared from original diamond weather graphic elements (VGA)
If someone can help me with the two above, it would be nice

Bigger photos in contact page by markfdr
markfdr was so kind and prepared a mod of the contact page which enlarges the thumbnails of your favourite contacts. Perfect for people with smaller VGA screens.

fbifbi, Congrats with this TRUE VGA (?yes?)
You might make a link on the Diamond general thread as some people would certainlu like to switch (back) to SPB with a nice GUI as you made.
Looking forward for more releases. sorry - barely no time - so can't help..

Wow Great work! Thank you!
Just one tought folks: I thing it is better to change the weather shortcut to Marsware Weather Pannel and not use the SPB one. What is your opinion?

KALI2000, you would need to edit your weather.xml file in order to center the big weather image, as you see currently it's more to the right, since my layout file is suited for the images 300px wide. I will find the exact place and will let you know where to edit.
EDIT:
Check the qa_layouts.dat file for MainWeather.xml, you need to find and edit two lines 115 and 172 (portrait mode / horizontal mode):
<LeftTop X="45" Y="80"/>
X marks the spot ;} err I mean is the space ammount in pixels measured from left margin
OK, short explanation where does the 45 come from.
My weather picture is 300px wide. Screen is 480px wide.
480px - 300px = 180px
180 / 2 (left and right margin) = 90px
However since this is a QVGA conversion of a theme, SPB doubles all the dimensions automatically, hence in order to achieve 90px margin in VGA you need to put half of the value - in my case 45px. Hope it's clear
At one moment I tried to convert BeyondInvisible's Diamond Enchanced icon set.
The icons are 240px wide (full screen), I have resized it to 480px, packed it in the theme, however, the bitmap was huuuge (if I remember correctly about 8MB), unfortunaltey SBP MS crashed when I tried to display weather page. So be careful guys while trying to convert other weather icon sets. Beside that, the memory consumtion grows rapidly if the images are large.
I checked yesterday, SPB MS uses ca. 11-12MB RAM with my theme - which already may be too much for some older VGA devices... But that's the price one has to pay for a good looking theme

PLUS 2 buttons on the Weather, Task Manager, Wireless Manager, Contacts Carousel and Change Backlight Screens (Lifestyle Home Screen and Contacts Screen, see picture)

PLUS the bottom Menu Bar has been stripped of the 3 middle buttons and made useable for anything to be placed there (make it small size if you want it to go close to the bottom of the screen)
PLUS I added a 9th panel in the Spb Menu Screen called Spb Menus which contains 10 spb mobile shell shortcuts that can be selected as application links to be placed on the screen if desired.
PLUS a 3 button menu on the Pro screens on Portrait and Landscape Modes (the extra button is to the Task Manager)
ChangeLog
20th September:
+ Added Weather Pro Omnia widget without Text
19th September:
+ Added new clocks, small date, weather pro variations, new backgrounds, small battery, changing colour on all batterys depending on charge, improved graphics on diamond clocks, fixed layout on other digital clocks, other stuff I cant remember right now lol.
To use the Buttons or Backing Panels: Select the button or panel you want and place it on the screen, then select the icon or widget you want ontop of it and move it ontop of the button. If the button is ontop then when you press it you will get the clock come up.
To use the Invisible Link Widget: Select Invisible Link (medium or small) from the widgets list, then select the program you wish it to be associated with. You can then place it over an existing widget or on any part of the screen so that when you click on that area the link will run. Its totally invisible but the size must NOT be changed or the link will become visible.
To add Spb Menus to the screen on Ultimate version: Select Menu (bottom right button) and Add Widget. Select Application from the Shortcuts section then click on the Spb Menus Folder and select one of the available shortcuts you want to place on the screen. If you want to place it at the bottom as a Menu Button then select it from the screen and make it small then move it to the bottom.
PLEASE NOTE:
TO AVOID PROBLEMS SUCH AS THE WIDGETS OR NOTIFICATIONS NOT SHOWING PLEASE ONLY INSTALL THIS ON A CLEAN VERSION OF MOBILE SHELL!!
I DO NOT WANT ANY WIDGETS THAT I HAVE CREATED FOR THIS PACK TO BE USED IN ANY OTHER PROGRAMS OR PACKS. PLEASE RESPECT MY WISHES. THANK YOU.

MSkip ProPlus Ultimate with Custom BackGround for Spb Mobile Shell 3 BUILD 092109 (QVGA, WQVGA, VGA and WVGA)
This is exactly the same version as Pro Plus Ultimate but with a custom background on all screens except lifestyle. This can then be easily changed to another background by changing the qa_fundotela.dat file with your own custom made one or one of the files I have supplied. Just rename the background you want to use to qa_fundotela.dat and copy it to your Spb Mobile Shell folder on your phone, then soft reset. I included a black one as well as a couple of colourful backgrounds.
Note: After you rename the background file and copy it to your phone dont forget to rename it back so you know which one it is or you will get lost .
Do the following to make your own custom background dat file.
1. Rename any of the custom backgrounds in the zip file to qa_fundotela.zip
2. Unzip to a folder using the password: b0fm18zq
3. Make 2 backgrounds to use as follows:
For QVGA version (240x400 saved as Background.bmp and 400x240 saved as BackgroundL.bmp)
For VGA version (480x800 saved as Background.bmp and 800x480 saved as BackgroundL.bmp)
4. Move the 2 new background files into the folder you made in step2 (overwriting the originals)
5. Zip the 3 files back up with password protection (using password: b0fm18zq)
6. Rename the new file to qa_fundotela.dat and copy to your Spb Mobile Shell folder on your phone (overwriting the original)
7. Soft Reset your phone
NOTE: The background problem with WQVGA devices has been fixed so the image is shown on the whole screen and not just down to the menubar.
If you enjoy using anything that I have created please consider making a donation even if its a very small amount. Everything donated will go towards treatment of my Aunt who has been recently diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.
Enjoy

I'll be waiting for your VGA update on this one.
Is there any way to resize the screen for SPB? The newer 6.5.1 ROMs leave a slight gap at the bottom of the screen (sometimes it is black, other times it has an after image of the most recently closed window).
If ye need screen shots to get what I'm saying I'll get some and edit this post.
Cheers,

Thats a problem with the WM 6.5 builds because I think the Taskbar at the top has been made smaller which moves all the screen up. I dont think theres a fix so if you want to use a 6.5 Rom then you will have to live with it. Personally I dont like 6.5 and prefer to stick with 6.1
VGA should be up tomorrow I need some sleep so I cant do it tonight. Check for download links at around 8pm uk time.

Thanks! I really appreciate the addition of the small weather icon and the new clocks. But as usual, I have questions/requests :
1. Is it possible to do the small weather icons in the other styles?
2. In the Elegance package the screens can be continuously scrolled from screen 7 straight to screen 1. Are you still planning on adding that feature?
Again, thanks.

Are you making these widgets from scratch? or reskinning them?
Is it possible to pull out a to - do list widget? that... would.. make my day.. main reason why im not using TF2
does this ULTIMATE version have continuous scrolling of lifestyle pages too?
Great work as usual, Mskip.

Its impossible to please some people lol
1. I can quickly add the small omnia weather widget without text to fit in the bottom tonight but thats the only other small weather widget that I have.
2. Im not sure about giving the Ultimate version continuous scrolling because it requires changing the lifestyle layout to 7 seperate screens and looses the ability to backup the layout easily and affects the background stability. I might play around and see if I can do it without having to add the selection bar.

You know me, never happy! Yes, the omnia widget is the one I like the best. If you have time, I'd appreciate the addition.
Since I have no technical expertise at all, I can't suggest that continuous scrolling be implemented in Ultimate. For me seven screens is too much scrolling in one direction. Elegance was exactly what I was looking for EXCEPT that I really lke being able to control the bottom of the screen. Well, life is all about trade-offs.
Again, I appreciate your efforts.

Hey adioph,
upload your qa_layouts.dat file from the SPB Mobile Shell folder, and ill see what i can do about QVGA.
edit: nvmd, got it working
hmm, thats weird, i have a Touch HD, so your device and mines should be pretty similar, also nothing was done to alter the original functionality of MS3.5 as all the orignal widgets etc remains. Will look into it though, thanks.
great widgets btw, thanks. one thing though, is there a reason you branded the battery meter with mh widgets 1.0??? honestly, would much rather see the date up there.
was thinking of gettin the weather widget up there, currently working on it, was also thinking about putting the date / alarm up there. so you guys can have a few options.
Look out for Date, and Alarm versions tomorow.

I love what you did with SPB3.5. Too bad, I am not a SPB fan, but this does look really nice. Great ideas with Tasks and Agenda, the clock.
hmm...I may have to buy SPB, so I can enjoy this.
Thanks man.
Hey guys, i dont know if it works on the other resolutions, only tested on WVGA,
you cant try installing it on the other devices and see if it works, and let me know.
Backup your qa_layouts.dat file in the spb mobile shell directory before testing.
If it does not work on your device, unintall the cab via "remove programs" and then restore your backed up qa_layouts.dat
------------------------
As for the other resolutions, the graphics files would need to be completely redone to match the resolution of the device, please provide the "qa_layouts.dat" file and specify the resolution. And ill see what i can do about a conversion. First come First Serve, so qvga is first .
Also i want to make sure there is no bugs etc with the WVGA version before i start churning out the other resolutions. Also working on a design to acomodate the default lifestyle skin of the notification icons.
will be trying this. the battery on the time looks lovely and I'm vga

Mine....
Moved to second post...
the problem with customising it greatly is that its gonna be customised to the taste of the cook and this will really affect your potential audience. i think its best to stick with the neutral looking interface that comes with the devices and allow the user to customise themselves or atleast allow the user to be able to remove the customisations. personally, i prefer a ROM to look stock, but have under the hood customisations, like speed or say with opera for example, maybe increasing number of tabs, buffer size etc.
i install spb backup, nodata, make some registry edits (auto lock if wm6.5 is concerned and disabling gsensor in album as it slows it down), igo8, coreplayer, opera flash fix, google maps and then any games (bejewelled, spb quads, tower defense etc.)
good luck

PLEASE READ!! VERSION 4.0 IS ONLY AVAILABLE IN WVGA AT FIRST. ONCE IT HAS BEEN OUT A FEW DAYS AND I HAVE RECIEVED FEEDBACK AND FIXED ANY BUGS I WILL MAKE IT AVAILABLE IN ALL OTHER RESOLUTIONS (INCLUDING HVGA IF POSSIBLE).
MSkip ProPlus Windows Phone 7 Theme for Mobile Shell 3.5.5
Contains the following:
+ All Spb Mobile Shell screens have now been skinned for WP7.
+ Home Hub is scrollable so you can add as many Tiles as you wish or make up your own.
+ Shortcuts Hub can be reached by swiping your finger to the left on the Home Hub (WP7 feature).
+ Shortcuts Hub is scrollable so you can add as many shortcuts as you wish.
+ Static links on the right of the Home Hub so no matter where you are in the Home Hub you can always see it.
+ Static Links are configurable through the Manager in the Start Menu.
+ Panels are mostly made up of shortcuts and custom shortcut skins so easy to change images or look (if desired).
+ New menu bars in mobile shell screens.
+ All Screens fully set up for LandScape mode.
+ Theme Colour can be changed from the 'ProPlus Wp7 Tools' folder in the Start Menu.
+ Changing the Theme Colour will change the theme colour on all linked screens (Hubs, Spb Menu).
+ Hub Tiles are now partly transparent so if you have a picture background on the Home Hub it will show through the Tiles.
IMPORTANT: On first use of v4 you will find that when you click on some of the links (mostly in the Office, Games, Media and Pictures Hubs) that they will open the spb menu screen. This is because the links have no app associated with them. Once you choose what app you wish to associate with the link you clicked on it will be set for future use. This is also the same for icons that have a '+' inside them.

TIPS AND TRICKS ON HOW TO USE THE PROPLUS WP7 THEME
To Change the BackGround Image (All Hubs share the same BackGround Image)
Select Menu, Change Background, Local Gallery, Select your background image. Then goto Start Menu, ProPlus WP7 Tools, ProPlus Wp7 Manager and select Refresh Background Image. Your Mobile Shell will restart and the background image will be changed.
----------------------------
The Background image wont change on the Home Hub
Goto Start Menu, Programs, MSkips ProPlus WP7, ProPlus Tasks, Refresh Background Image. Your Mobile Shell will restart and the background image will be changed.
----------------------------
To Add more Icons to the Home Hub
You first need add the Background Box: Select Menu, Add Widget, Shortcut, Spb Menus, HomeHub. Then click on the widget and change its skin to Big Box Hidden (colour of your choice). Finally move the box to where you want it.
Now to place the icon ontop of the box: Select Menu, Add Widget, Shortcut, Select the program you want to open. Now click on the widget you just added and change its skin to the icon you want (they are all under the box skins and go from Android to Youtube). Move the icon ontop of the box and you are done.
----------------------------
To Delete any of the screens from the Carousel
Run your registry editor and goto:
HKLM, Software, Spb Software House 2, Spb Mobile Shell, NowScreen, Panels.
Delete the folder of the relevant carousel screen that you want to delete. You can see which each panel is by looking in the folders but the Lifestyle panel is '3' and the Businesss Panel is '4'.
The number sequence cant have any skips so if you delete '3' and '4' then you will have to rename other folders, renaming the last 2 folders in the list so there arent any gaps in the sequence ('14' renamed to '3' and '15' renamed to '4').
If you want to keep all the hubs together then after you delete the Business and Lifestlye Carousel panels then rename Pictures (5) to '3', then rename the last 2 folders to '4' and '5'. If you dont do this corrently then you will get a corrupted view in the carousel screen.
----------------------------
How to make up a panel to an spb screen on the Home Hub
1. Goto Menu, Add Widget, Shortcut, Spb Menus and select from the list.
2. click on the widget that has been added to the screen and then 'Change Skin' to your desired panel image. Example: Add a shortcut link to 'Favorites' and then change its skin to 'Hub People (WP7)'.
----------------------------
How to change the Small Blank Box into a Shortcut with Icon
Just click on menu in the top right and 'Edit Layout'. You can now click on any of the boxes and change its link to the shortcut or program you want. Next click on the box again and 'Change Skin' to 'Small Box'. NOT Small Box Hidden or the shortcut icon wont show.
----------------------------
How to make up some of the custom panels
Agenda Panel: Add an Agenda Shortcut (or whatever program you want it linked to) with the Hub Agenda Skin, then add the Agenda widget and change its skin to 'Agenda Hub (WP7)'.
Digital Clock Panel: Add a Spb Clock Shortcut (or whatever program you want it linked to), change its skin to 'Big Box Hidden (WP7)' and move it where you want it on the screen. Now add a Digital Clock Widget, change its skin to 'WP7 Hub' and place it over the Blank panel. Lastly add a Current Date Widget, change its skin to 'WP7 Hub' and place it over the Blank panel.
----------------------------
To make up your own Hub Image
Create your image with resolution 172x172 and save as a jpg on your storage card where you can find it.
Add a Picture Frame widget and change its skin to 'BigBox Hub (WP7)'.
Click on the Picture Frame and 'Select Picture' then browse to your desired image and select it.
Remove the existing Hub that you want to replace and drag your Custom Hub to the desired location.
Goto Add Widget, Shortcut, Spb Menus, and choose what you want your new Hub to open (Contacts, Games Hub, Lifestyle Hub).
Now change its skin to Invisible Hub Big (WP7) which is found after the Wide Box and move it over your Custom Hub Image.
----------------------------
Picture Frame Sizes to fit on the Hub Screen
You can double the sizes of these dimensions if you want as long as the aspect ratio is the same, the image will just be resized on the screen.
BigBox Hub (WP7) - QVGA/WQVGA = 86 x 86, VGA/WVGA = 172 x 172
WideBox Hub (WP7) - QVGA/WQVGA = 176 x 86, VGA/WVGA = 352 x 172
----------------------------
How to have a different Background Image on Any Screen
Create your image or find the image you want to use. You have to remember to take away the height of the TaskBar when you are creating your background image:
A full screen WQVGA or WVGA picture widget size needs to be 480x748.
A full screen QVGA or VGA picture widget size needs to be 480x588.
Once you have a full screen picture widget then you dont want it to bring up the picture viewer if you click on it. To get around this I created a Full Screen Invisible shortcut which can be set to the Hub you are on and wont have any actions when clicked on.
After you have set you Full Screen Picture Widget, goto menu, add widget, shortcut, spb menus, and select the hub you are on (games, business, pictures). Then click on the shortcut on the screen and change its skin to Invisible Link (Half Full). This will cover half the screen with an Invisible Link to the screen you are already on and so protecting your picture widget. Remember in the Edit Mode the Invisible Widget is darker so dont select the wrong area when moving and click on the picture widget by mistake. Repeat this process to create another Half Screen Invisible Shortcut Widget to cover the other half of the picture widget. You will then be protected and can build the rest of your screen.
**and this one**
just downloaded and will give it a go, anything you make is always worth while
Kinda confused though? Changelog says January 20th? Is this new or you just been working on it for awhile?
Anyways, thanks as always for sharing.

The theme is all done for QVGA and WQVGA I just have to resize all the graphics which I will try to do tonight.
I need someone with a landscape capable WQVGA device and someone with a landscape capable VGA device who can move the panels and widgets to make the layout look right in landscape mode and then export the appropriate registry entrys and send them to me before I can make the cab and post it. Any takers?
I will post screenshots of landscape mode in the first post today so its just a case of following that layout.
I have a QVGA device so I dont need anyone for that.
Even if i select 5 pages in both the models, i can't have them...How can i make another page?
Thanks
