I mean.... 10 dollar shipping... these things aren't even selling... I hear this brand sucks buuutttt the price??

eh i dunno. You could end up with a battery that barely exceeds your stock on, and your phone is bigger than a brick.

Good point.... Guess I'll wait and try for a seido

I bought one from a similar seller, should be here by the end of the month. I'll let you know the results.

Why not just get it and see?
Sent from my Incredible using XDA App

I bought one myself a few weeks ago. Big mistake. So much added bulk and it lasted on average a half hour more than my stock 1300 mAh battery. Skip this one and move on. Save yourself the disappointment.

I bought 2 of those w/ a charger for $20 shipped a while back. At first, both batteries outperformed the stock and the Seidio 1750 battery by quite a bit. However, after about 3 months, the performance dwindled down to being on par with the stock 1300. They worked well in the beginning, but wore themselves out rather quickly.
Bit the bullet and bought a Sedio 3500 and haven't looked back.

Purchased a similar battery and will never do so again. Battery was shot within a month.

Have you found a decent case for the larger size back?

just gonna say, I honestly feel that it's worth springing for the 3500 seidio.
Mines lasted through 5 months, with really good longevity. And is still kicking with the same (as far as i can tell) amount of capacity.
When I'm not going crazy with power use during school the battery will last around 4 days of pretty normal use.
When it comes to like super power use the battery will last 2 days. And I'm talking about 6-10 hours of browsing the internet, a bunch of texts, music, youtube, xda, etc.
So at least to me, I'd rather pay more (in this case definitely a difference in price) and know I'm getting a good product.

Mine just came today. Will condition it very well now that I'm hearing all the negative comments and report back with results. It does add bulk but that's really not a big deal to me. Happy to have the camera lens covered now though.

Well I've been using it for the past couple days, and the only complaint that I have that it goes down about one percent every minute once it gets to 10%. Getting a good solid 2 days out of it after pretty heavy use. Not bad for $10. I like now I can put my phone down flat and not risk the camera.

Pictures please?

My Seido 3500 mAH came today. Still charging the thing ;P
Looks great so far.

lol that battery reads "replacement for EVO4".
I think they're compatible anyhow.
Quality batteries are always better than the cheap ones of course, I personally wouldn't buy it even for the $10.

Using my Seido since about 7:30. Regular usage, texting and such and I'm at 78 percent, as long as the battery on Warm 2.2 is accurate anyway

I swear by these guys for all my accessories and batteries, going on 4 phones now. Very satisified customer.
edit2: 09/23/09- email from seidio stating it is NOT compatible with the holster listed below
edit: and says it's compatible with holster, agian, very satisfied buy.

This is by far my favorite of the 3 holsters I've previously owned for various phones by the same company. Phone sits very secure with no fear of falling out at all.
Interesting, the price is a bit steep but not too high.
I would like to see some higher res pics from a few angles to get a better idea of what the case cover looks like.
I have the holster but how do you know the extended battery fits the holster? From the single photo of the battery cover, it looks like the top sticks out as much as the area below the camera...

Yes I did see that though from the photo it does not look like that's the case. Do you really think it's compatible from that photo? I've had the extended battery for the Storm and the holster worked fine because the battery cover did not extend on the upper portion where the camera is. Guess we'll have to wait for someone to actually dive in but in the meantime I'm sticking to what I can tell from that photo on their site.
Reasonable price? depends on what you think is reasonable. You do realize that without either the battery or the phone, the other is pretty worthless. I think it's a great price considering crap motorola batteries are $30
got this from seidio, just an fyi, they must be talking about different holsters or the listing might just be plain incorrect.

I ordered this, and its been shipped already and I am awaiting arrival. I also have the innocase and holster combo, and while I know the innocase wont fit, I will try the holster and report back if that one works.
any idea which case will work?
:/
I got mine today. Huge battery
The replacement cover is ok, although I am afraid it will accidentally slide off in my pocket.
Overall, the added bulk really doesn't make a huge difference, in fact it makes it a little easier to hold.
Can't wait to see what the battery life on this sucker is like.

I got mine today too. I also like the added bulk. It fits my Seidio holster, even though the innocase that I got with the holster wont fit. Made of the same material as the innocase so its hard to scuff etc. I'll report back after a few cycles to let people know what I'm getting usage wise out of it.
UPDATE:
Well, it came off the charger at 3:30pm today saying 100%. I have been hammering it mercilessly for 6 hours now. Streaming Pandora for six hours straight, Turned on GPS, set all of my social network notifications to the quickest pull intervals, and my mail also. I have had the web browser open for nearly three hours, had three calls of around 20 minutes each, and my awake time since I pulled the battery off the charger is 100%. I am sitting at 75% right now. I am trying to get the battery low so I can get a full charge for the next cycle, but this damn thing won't go down. I guess I'll try to download a game or something and play it while listening to Pandora. This thing is a beast....
This is a beast. Used it all evening last night, and the power meter did not budge.
Also the new back makes the Hero much easier to hold.
Waiting for a day in the office where I have a weak signal to see how it does there. I'm guessing this thing will make it through a day or two no matter what I throw at it.
By far the best accessory...
Awesome, guys, glad to hear this thing is the real deal. I'm thinking about getting one but I'm waiting for the price to go down. Anyone know if they usually do? Last extended battery I bought was only $7, this one is pretty steep.
I found a better deal but not in stock ATM:

watch out for these kinda deals, i'm fairly certain seidio's waranty doesn't transfer to 3rd party sellers completely.
I had purchased a battery from seidio previously that was DoA, and after a conversation with their RMA department getting my invoice number and all that, they said they will replace bad batteries from anywhere but since I purchased through seidio directly they would send me a replacement without having to send the old one back first (or at all, they just said to pitch it). The battery that was sent to me was tested with a full power cycle before being over-nighted to my door.
I don't know, it's something to think about. If I'm getting a quality piece of gear, and the service to back it. I don't mind throwing out an extra little bit.
I'm on my second charge. The phone has been off the charger since 12pm on Sunday. I am sitting at 70% on Monday at 2pm. I'm really liking the usage I am getting out of this. I did not beat on it too much yesterday, just a lot of normal use. I figure at this rate, I will have to charge it every three or so days. I'm hoping it improves after a few cycles, even though I've only charged it twice so far. I'm going to run it down to 30% or so before the next charge....who knows when that will be lol.

Multiple Batteries

I have my stock 1300mah and bought the 1750mah which I am far less thrilled with than others (it is longer, but not much). I note some people like the idea of having multiple batteries, but my view of the Incredible cover, and the tiny hooks that keep it in place, is that one is better off not opening and closing it too much. Am I incorrect here?

I would tend to agree with you, I used to change batteries quite often on my Touch Pro 2 but after the tabs broke off the second cover I stopped unless absolutely neccessary.

I also got the Seido 1750 battery but it was a big improvement for me... i used to have to charge my phone every night and it would be dead by the end of the day from like a 9am to 10pm spread.. now with the seido one it goes a day and a half before dying

You and I are running VERY different apps, I guess. Mine is in my pocket the whole day, albeit in a very old steel and concrete building. I suspect battery drain has a lot to do with signal, anyway.
I am running BatteryTime Lite, which I know is a bad idea; and I do pull email and weather every hour or so; but I could never do a day and a half.

My experience with the Seidio is about the same as yours.
I used my Touch Pro 2 battery for a few days and definately an improvement. I just didn't like the way it fit in the incredible so I ordered the one that's made for the phone (haven't got it yet).

I can get about a day and a half out of mine with the stock battery in it. That's with light to moderate useage, 4 or 5 calls a day, 3 or 4 texts and about a dozen emails (plus I probably just play with it for at least an hour or so). I have it set to download weather and email every hour. I don't know if it makes a difference but I turn of Bluetooth unless I am using it and I only use the wifi when in my office with a good connection.
Update - Seidio 175 mAh Battery
OK, I received my Seidio battery and have only ran 2 charges through it but here is my experience so far...
With my normal usage I get approximately 1 1/2 days from the stock battery and it is DEAD.
I have the Seidio battery in now and I took it off the charger yesterday morning, it is now 11:00am here and my battery is at 66%.
I don't know about you but in my eyes that is a major improvement!
A note on the Seidio battery:
It is not the same battery as their Touch Pro 2 battery, it fits better. I used the touch Pro 2 battery in it for a day or 2 but regardless of what everybody is saying, the Touch Pro 2 battery doesn't fit right in my books.
Sure, it fits in the phone and you can put the battery door on it just fine but it is tight.
When you really notice it is taking the cover off with the Touch Pro 2 battery in the Incredible. It is hard to get the cover off. Maybe it's just me but I would rather spend the extra money on the right battery than have to replace the cover because the very fragile little tabs that hold it on have broken off from being over stressed.
Just my 2 cents worth, I'm sure the results will vary with other users.
I currently work out of my home and have a good strong wifi connection, the above test is with wifi on for the entire time, and Bluetooth off when not in use (not really sure if that matters yet). I only use bluetooth when I go some where in my truck so I had it on for about an hour yesterday.

Review: 2000 mAh Battery for Mytouch 3g

So one of the biggest flaws of the early android phones (in my own opinion) has been battery life. One of the quickest and simplest options for early adopters is to buy an extended battery. So that question remains where can someone get a reliable battery? Well after perusing forums and coming to the conclusion that this field seems to be relatively untouched, I decided to splurge and buy the 2000 mAh battery by Seidio.
Normal retail price is 60 dollars but I found mine on mobilecityonline for 30 dollars
http://www.mobilecityonline.com/wireless/store/productdetail.asp?productid=25418
Note: I am currently running cyanogen 5.0.8 stable with the community hero mix theme
First impressions: After unpacking the battery, it is THICKER but that is to be expected. It comes with a replacement cover which has a matte rubbery feel to it. Feels good
WARNING: The battery cover will not accommodate models with a 3.5mm jack, so if you want to use this battery you may need to do some tinkering
First day of full use : After putting the battery through two charge cycles I noticed a GREAT improvement on battery life. Starting at about 11AM with some light browsing and youtube, battery was still in good condition. Afterwards a few hours of mild calling and texting and finally some more youtube and browsing at about 7 or 8 along with plenty of texting. By midnight the battery was still at 75 percent and lasted through the night and allowed me to watch some more videos until about 3 in the afternoon.
That's all I can say about it so far after 3 days of use.
Definitely a battery to consider if you need a little more life in your phone from day to day, Follow up review, video and pictures coming soon!
Feel free to leave comments and questions, and if you decide to buy one give us your thoughts!
well im looking into it now, and just to make sure it will work with my htc magic from rogers with no 3.5jack, right?
because for 30$ its worth it to have better battery life IMHO
That's my issue is that I'd love to buy an extended battery for my 1.2 but I haven't seen any battery covers that account for the headphone jack. I'm sure you could rig it with a Dremel or something.

It seems easy to cut a hole out for the 3.5mm jack, I'm sure you could do it fairly easily
it just hit clearance for $19.99. Really wishing it had the option to choose a white cover. I may get one anyway though.
Seems they just cleared out their stock of it, anyone out there get one from mobilecity before they sold out?
Have no fear though, theres still plenty of vendors you can get this product at (for a slightly higher price, but I think it's worth it)

As far as I understood the battery is thicker then the stock one, so the original cover won't work.
They have a lot of different batteries on aliexpress DOT com.

Seidio more capacity = heavier?

I bought a Seidio 1750mAh off Amazon. I notice that my seidio is lighter than the 1300mAh stock that came with the droid. I haven't conducted any battery life test to see if the seidio one offers more juice, but I am wondering if I got a fake one.
If you happen to own a 1750mAh Seidio for HTC droid, please comment if it is heavier or lighter than the stock 1300mAh.

I can tell you today when I pick mine up from the post office
My 1750 IS heavier and I have gotten far better results from it than I did from stock. Juiceplotter estimates I have around 10 hours remaining at midnight when I plug it in, whereas the 1300mAh battery ended up needing to be plugged in around 7 or 8pm because it was about shot.
I have changed roms so many times, though, as well as kernels, that I can't make a reasonable comparison.

Is it noticeably heavier?
I stand corrected... my seidio is 29 grams, while the stock battery is 31...
Normally I would scoff at the idea of a lighter battery having more capacity, but it feels more flexible so perhaps they sacrificed the solid housing in exchange for physical capacity.
Anyway, whatever they did, I found the performance to be far better. We'll see after another month or two if it stays decent.

just about every aftermarket battery manufacturer has been put to the test. absolutely none of these companies batteries are the rating they are advertised. the seidio 1750 for the TP2 was really only 1380 mAh. the N1 1600 was only 1305. you'd be better off with the TP2 oem 1500 that you can get for 15 bucks on ebay.
just google batteryboss, the first site is the one you wanna see.

Sure, I read it. I have had it bookmarked for several months so I can check it occasionally. As you can see by his "benchmarks" he has tested exactly one seidio 1750 mAh battery which has been under "light use" for two months.
I have had this battery now for over two months, and it has consistently outperformed the stock battery far more than an extra 80mAh would. I am pleased with this battery and I stand by my own personal experience. The long run is what will determine if I buy from them again.
So far I would say this battery has paid for itself.

3600 MAH Ebay battery review

Hello all, I got a no-name 3600 MAH battery off of Ebay for 9.99, this one here and I wanted to say that it's been mostly good. It says that the seller ships from China but it actually came from within the US and came fast.
I have used this in my primary ATT model XP for about a month now. Thankfully this battery is genuinely more powerful than the stock battery. I don't know if it's 3600 Mah in reality but I estimate it holds a charge for at least 2x as long as the stock battery. I took a 3+ hour drive a few days ago with the GPS on with the screen mostly on and it only dropped from roughly 85% to 62%. It adds alot of weight to the unit and almost doubles the thickness, making it a far less elegant phone but arguably a more comfortable game pad; I do find the L and R buttons are less accessible, however. The battery back is plain piano black with no markings and apparently adequate cutouts for the flash and camera.
THRICE the phone has died without notice, with reasonable battery life remaining. Honestly this happened maybe just as much with the stock battery. The previous owner abused the phone a fair bit and I am tempted to chalk it up to that.
My biggest problem is that the extra weight seems to all be carried by the flex cable. If you pick up your XP by the screen half, which is a very casual, reasonable, and natural thing to do under normal circumstances, you're putting significantly more weight on the flex cable than it was ever meant to bear. There's nothing an aftermarket battery manufacturer can do about this I suppose, and sadly it affects all slider phones along the same lines.
Another big issue is that the channeling for the speakers is complete ****. Instead of coming out the bottom and being directed toward the user as is the case with the stock battery cover, this battery cover causes the sound to echo around inside and then leak out in every direction. It's not a deal breaker but is something to note.
Worth a tenner.
Last year I bought two of 'em (were around $11, the second one was a bonus), same maker, same model. Still rocking, nothing to complain about. Passed every test I threw at it (heat, overclock, stress, charge cycle, etc)
nice..
Lol no weight is put on the flex cable the slider is what holds the weight lmao has a stopper on both ends also to keep it from sliding out of the slider.
Sent from my LT28i using XDA Free mobile app
So I got one of these at the start of the year. Is it just my imagination or does it charge slightly lessen after 11 months? I could be wrong, but it seems to drain more quickly. Would love to know other people's thoughts.
Great
