Chrome to Phone for Fascniate

Is anyone having any luck find and actually installing any version of Chrome-to-Phone. I have tried version 1.7, 2.0, and 2.1.0 and have had zero luck.
If you do have it mind loading the APK? I know this was designed for froyo but I had 1.7 working on my old 2.1 droid.

You need Froyo, as far as I know. You can try Fennec that has the link sync option.

I use an app called linkpush. It uses Google talk to receive links sent from an addon to most of the major browsers. Its pretty much just like chrome to phone.

[Q] Netflix for tab

so like the thread says has anyone tried or read anything about netflix being able to run on the tab, I have a vztab that is on its way back from service so havent tried the the netflix-devicecheck-disabled.apk on it but im assuming it wont work without 2.3. So my question really is have any of the gsm tab users been able to have netflix with the gingerbread leak.

I tried the first one that has device check disabled. Netflix opens with that one, but when I go to log on it crashes.
So, I tried the other modified one, and that one lets me log in and view my queue, but when I try to watch something I get an error that says
"Sorry we could not reach the Netflix service. Please try again later. If the problem persists please visit netflix.com. (1005)"
So, I am not sure if that is a genuine Netflix error, or an error with the apk itself.

Theres a mod you install after the modified apk thats supposed to make it not crash

What mod is this you speak of???

I also tried the two modified netflix apps with the same results. Neither worked.
I would be interested to hear if someone actually got it working.

I'm curious about this too. Somebody posted in the galaxy tab forums that they got it working on the stock gingerbread rom. I've tried it on my Sprint Galaxy Tab and even with the hack it crashes. My firmware version is eb28.

Might want to mention thats not for CDMA or WIFI tablets

It its only partially working on klean mod... It loads que and plays audio in fast forward and then reverts back to the que... Weird right? Im curious to see other cdma results

To the op, I haven't gotten it to run ok anything but froyo and cm7. The sensation, evo3d and others won't run it

so its my ROM thats causing the problem you think?

I think its either sense 3.0 or android 2.3.4

I had the same problem at first. It worked fine on froyo then when I went to GB is when I think I had problems. So I went back to froyo re-installed the game and downloaded data. Flashed BAMF's RC3 along with all the mods possible for it right now along with Dark Horse theme and it works great now. At first I thought it might be the rom but now after going thru all that I know it's not.
How far does it get before it FC's? does it get to the gameloft boot animation or does it close before that? The version I have installed is 1.0.3. What version are you using?

I haven't had problems i am on bamf sense 3 and have a swap enabled and overclocked to 1.59 ghz using imo kernels

I'm on bamf 3.0 rc 4. It installed fine but FCs while checking license. I installed CM7 and it worked until I flashed the Netflix fix (minimal) so it seems that is what's causing the problem. For now I guess I gotta choose between N.O.V.A and Netflix Btw I can't find N.O.V.A 1 on the market, is it supposed to be there?

WENT HERE, DOWNLOADED THE .APK, INSTALLED, GAME RUNS BEAUTIFUL.

1.0.3 works. I bought it and downloaded it and let it install the download and it works fine.

yeah see i dont know what happened to me. i purchased it, installed and it just kept FC every startup. i checked the version number and it was 1.0.0. everytime. i uninstalled, deleted the folder everything and reinstalled, still got 1.0.0. so i looked for the other online, it installed over it and boom, it works.

Most likely it is. I think that the AOSP ROM's (CM7/MIUI) does not have this installed, since google doesnt have it on any of their flagship devices (and AOSP is built from Google sources).

How can we find out for certain?
I tried running v7 of Treves Logging Test App but it wouldn't run on my phone (said something about not supported when trying to run the APK). I'm running Darky's v5.5 XXJPU Gingerbread edition, firmware v2.2.1

Depends on where you bought the phone. If you bought it at a store instead of from a carrier, it won't have CarrierIQ installed.
Also, CM7 does not have CarrierIQ.

TrevE's Logging checker didn't seem to find the APK.
I've just flashed stock XXJVS 2.3.5, so I probably don't have the carrier-added stuff. If it exists in provider-independent stock ROMs, then I'm free of it.

I ran adb logcat against my Samsung Galaxy S "T-Mobile: SGH-T959" running Android Froyo 2.2 (FROYO.UVKA6) and didn't see any references to the IQ Java package name. The phone also does not show an IQ Agent app.
That said, it still doesn't prove the software isn't there.

as I understand, the app is hidden in the OS. so you wouldn't see any traces of it other then in the network traffic.

I have a stock SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 phone and Samsung GT-P7310 tablet and when i go to the market it states that the xda apps are incompatible with both devices. my tablet its a 3.2 and stock everything- and 2.2 on my phone ( stupid Mini kies update never works ) Of course i can use the site but would like to enjoy the apps. Any suggestions would be great ?

send a mail to the devs. the latest few updates really made the app a lot worse.
kinda strange though because back on stock with my 7310 it worked fine...

the app is deleted from google play.
might be the reason for your problem?
