Is anyone having any luck find and actually installing any version of Chrome-to-Phone. I have tried version 1.7, 2.0, and 2.1.0 and have had zero luck.
If you do have it mind loading the APK? I know this was designed for froyo but I had 1.7 working on my old 2.1 droid.

You need Froyo, as far as I know. You can try Fennec that has the link sync option.
I use an app called linkpush. It uses Google talk to receive links sent from an addon to most of the major browsers. Its pretty much just like chrome to phone.

I was wondering if anyone had the apk of the new Froyo Car Home, and will it work on the Hero. I was using CM6 for a few days and found it much better than the Eclair one. I've tried looking for the .apk in the ROM but can't seem to find it.

It should be there. I can't download the ROM at work so can't check it myself. I am thinking though that maybe it comes in the Gapps addon pack? Maybe take a look in there.
With regards to it working on 2.1, dunno.

Comes in 2 parts, CarHomeGoogle and CarHomeLauncher, neither of them want to install :-(
How did you try and install them? If just by using say 'Astro' you would prob need to push them via adb.
Tried pushing it via Androidcommander to system/app but no dice. As I'm running a deodexed ROM would that be a problem?
Hmmm, I think the files just need to be ported to work on 2.1 Not sure how to do that myself, or even if that will even work. Hopefully someone else will know

I searched for this and found that apparently Samsung has removed daily briefing from 2.2 due to compatibility issues. That being said, if you're running an i9000 rom you may be able to rip that version from one of those. I believe phoenix actually has it as a feature.

you need to be rooted and use either ADB/shell commands, or an app like root explorer or super manager
Super Manager I had to use. Much easier!!

Well, I was running Vegan 5.1.1 and the tab was feeling a little glitchy, so I decided to do a clean wipe and reflash it. I loaded Vegan 5.1.1 again and loaded clemsyn's kernel. Now, slacker will make the screen go black after I log in. I can't do anything but press home to get out of it. Anybody have any idea what the problem might be?

Which version of Clemsyn's Kernel? Today's latest update?
Originally, it was an older kernel, but today I tried the new version he just put out. Still a no go.

I, too, have this problem with Slacker. I just got his tablet yesterday. I immediately put Clockwork on, and flashed TnT Lite 4. Slacker was a no-good. I went to VEGAn 5 next, and both Slacker and Google Voice aren't working.

I flashed my backup I created from December of the stock rom and Slacker works. I got excited and flashed Vegan 5.0 again, didn't work. I'm now running Calkulin's 1.1, which is great, but Slacker still doesn't work.
Running tnt 5.0 and i'm in the same boat. Does anyone know of a ROM that Slacker works on?

I'm running TnT 4.32 with clemsyns V6 kernel and slacker works great for me. Its worked on every ROM I've flashed, been using it pretty solid for about 2 months now.

What version of slacker are you running?
I'm running 2.1.170 and like I said, no problems whatsoever.
I couldn't get 2.1.180 from Amazon appstore to work, but the 2.0.140 from the Handango gmarket works for me. I am not sure which version Google market has.

That's the version I think I downloaded when I went back to stock and had it working. I'm going to give that a try right now.
Any chance of getting an APK of that?
That worked. Apparently, something changed in the newer versions of the app not allowing it to run on the tab.

so its my ROM thats causing the problem you think?
I think its either sense 3.0 or android 2.3.4
I had the same problem at first. It worked fine on froyo then when I went to GB is when I think I had problems. So I went back to froyo re-installed the game and downloaded data. Flashed BAMF's RC3 along with all the mods possible for it right now along with Dark Horse theme and it works great now. At first I thought it might be the rom but now after going thru all that I know it's not.
How far does it get before it FC's? does it get to the gameloft boot animation or does it close before that? The version I have installed is 1.0.3. What version are you using?
I haven't had problems i am on bamf sense 3 and have a swap enabled and overclocked to 1.59 ghz using imo kernels

I'm on bamf 3.0 rc 4. It installed fine but FCs while checking license. I installed CM7 and it worked until I flashed the Netflix fix (minimal) so it seems that is what's causing the problem. For now I guess I gotta choose between N.O.V.A and Netflix Btw I can't find N.O.V.A 1 on the market, is it supposed to be there?

WENT HERE, DOWNLOADED THE .APK, INSTALLED, GAME RUNS BEAUTIFUL.
1.0.3 works. I bought it and downloaded it and let it install the download and it works fine.

yeah see i dont know what happened to me. i purchased it, installed and it just kept FC every startup. i checked the version number and it was 1.0.0. everytime. i uninstalled, deleted the folder everything and reinstalled, still got 1.0.0. so i looked for the other online, it installed over it and boom, it works.
I'm using Calkulin+Clemsyn 1.5ghz Froyo Combo VERSION 8 final (bootloader 1.2 only) and I can't get facebook to download from the market.
Anyone got the latest apk?
i don´t know if you are refering to update the facebook app or download it entirely.
I was able to update it but dind´t like it too much, i am currently using pure messenger and k9 for pure and it is really nice you should try it.
by the way..... after i installed Calkulin´s rom i also installed the 11th verison of clemsyn´s kernel for the 1.2 froyo bootloader and it gives me usb support.... maybe that did the trick
