Attached screen shot.

Thought id check this out just to see what happens. It actually does appear to overclock and make real changes phone seems much snappier like it was with eclair and my voodoo over clock kernel then i thought i perform a quadrant. Some serious increases in framerates after setting overclock to 1.3 gigaouches. And has a much higher score, seems to transfer to real world performance.
Here is a before and after screen shot one at stock 1 gighertz voodoo
The next at 1.3 gigeherts voodoo. Both superclean 2.9.2 ec10 kernel.
I also added a widget to my sccreen to see if it really does say its at 1.3 gigaherts and it does. Phone seems stable and not acting weird at all. Will probably keep using

Freezes neocore and nfs at 1.3, more stable for me at 1.25
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA Premium App

This app appears to just module overclock similar to.what.the droid x/milestone does
its neat but not ideal
for those that care about oc...true 2.2 kernels im sure can be pushed farther than this and 2.1....1.4 appears stable on other sgs variants

This would probably suffice until some real optimzed OCed 2.2 kernels start coming out.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA Premium App

I have been using this at 1.3 all day and all is good. Nice substitute untilled some good kernels come out although this feels just as speedy as eclair. No complaints here at all. Deffinately a nice find. I can't believe I haven't herd about this sooner.

Lol i talked to the developer of this and told him about the froyo source for fascinate/mesmerize and he said he didnt know fascinates source was out already,he said i was the first one requesting him an sch i500 compatibility

So with jt's latest kernel, is this app still useful? Or was it something fit to use until the custom kernels started coming out?

What he said. I like this app though even though mine works great all the way up. For someone who can't run that fast if the phone were to lock. When it reboots its back to stock. Fail safe. Not a pain to reactivate either.

This makes me cautious for some reason...

What makes you cautious? Before any hardware gets messed up the phone will lock up and/or reboot then you'll be at stock speeds again. Although I haven't had any issues.

Wow. Real noticeable difference here. easy to use. Tried the 1.3 but the phone would freeze. 1.25 did thee trick for me. It sets back to default after every boot too which is pretty cool.

Why? Nothing to be scared of. I can vouch it works well my friend and not only is it zippy (on whatever setting u have it on), it also resets to default after each boot. No worries!

I know quadrents are so so and not accurate on performance, but I get higher readings on 1.5 rather than 2.0. Always score in 1900s on 1.5 and 1600 on 2.0.

actually don't like this feature...

title says it all I noticed a nice difference in real world performance as well as every type of quadrant-like program you could use to score your speed but I wish that it would start on boot so if I need to restart my phone for whatever reason I don't have to go back in and reset everything.. really really want auto boot for this.

This is an interesting app...

NOTES:
1. The cleaning script is integrated into the flash package, so it will clean before the kernel actually flashes, once its done and you reboot, it will take a little while longer to reboot since the dalvik-cache is wiped.
2. It is safe to use a screen off profile with 400/100 setting, but i do not recommend it.
3. The splash screen is the same skull from my froyo kernel, but it has "CM" on it. If you dont like skulls or my splash in general, plz use another kernel. And NO, i won't change or make another version of it, so plz don't ask.
4. My beta tester, Skitz, has reported low quad scores with this. If you are a person concerned with benchmark scores, then this isnt for you. Quads don't make the kernel, the performance does.
5. I am running OMFGB so i know this will work on that and regular CM7, i hear that CM7 kernels also work on MIUI, but i have not personally tested it on it.
Known issues:
1. May hang on kernel splash for a while, if it exceeds more than 3 mins, pull battery and put it back in and boot normally.
2. You may have to re-enter Gmail credentials, i think this is because of the cleaning script, but i'll look into fixing it.
All my kernels will be hosted from Google Code, so you can download here

No dice, same as all other gb kernels. it went as high as 4186 then dropped down a few mv, and charging completed. In froyo I'd get to 4240's.
Could it just be the way the mv is measured in froyo vs gingerbread, or maybe the calculation against it?

I just switched over to immortality from glitch v12. So far, I am really impressed. Everything runs very smoothly and without any real lagging.
There is one thing however that is really really odd....when playing videos, when the video finishes buffering and is about to begin playing, I get the, "cannot play ths video" message, and it closes. As far as I know, this shouldn't have anything to do with your kernel...but videos worked fine before flashing over to immortality...so I'm stumped, any ideas?
Either way, great work. Top notch job, as always!

Suck it stock IncS.
3651 at that same frequency.
my loss of points was SD card because I'm using a class 2 16gb card, not the 8gb class 4 that came with it.
Different benchmarks as I took them a few weeks ago, but could be interesting for the sake of comparison anyways. The first picture was taken at stock clock speed using the Quadrant benchmark. The second was taken @ 1209MHz and the third @ 1401MHz I believe (I didn't take note so it may vary +- 100MHz). I wasn't brave enough to go any higher Although I know that the Tiamat kernel could allow you to go up to 2.0GHz which is just ridiculous. Setup shown in my signature.

is it possible that i harmed my CPU with OC/UV in the past?

The uv/oc setting s are always restored to the kernel default once your phone is restarted unless you have your app set to "set on boot" which is never a good idea as bricks are made this way. And yes when you flash a new Rom it installs a new kernel and your setting s are set to the kernels default until you set up your oc app from wihtin your Rom.

That bench was clocked at 1804 it tottally depends on which Rom your using and which kernel. That was cm nihtlies and I can't remember the kernel, all I remember was the title contained the words "lightning fast". I've used roms with kernels that won't let you surpass 1.1 ghz and I've used ones that let you o.c. to 2.1. Weather or not your phone locks up is a different story. It doesn't seem to matter if its sense or aosp as I've had both clocked over 1.8. Generally the phone will freeze if you have uncompatible settings and it tries to run more than 4 processes at once.
here's mine.
Cyanogenmod 7 Nightly + Lord Clockan's kernel also ICS theme really looks great.
This bench is at 1.6Ghz but normally it's set to ~1.2Ghz and get almost 3 days battery life.
Incredible S is an incredible phone!

Before something changed I was able to get 3400 with 1Ghz and vorkkernel
So, this means that my score is bad?
What can I do to make it better?
Stock phone I was scoring like 2700, Volkernel 1Ghz like 2900 and now at 1.4Ghz with 3900.
Stock Galaxy S II scores something like 3200 if I remember.
Maybe you were running 1.1.6 version of Quadrant no?
that just score, and in benchmark, you will not see difference between 3000 and 3400 when you use it. the best combination is, when you feel a very big woow.
i got that feel with latest GO Launcher EX, and stock v10D with latest neoblaze [email protected] ext4, i removed cardock or what, and now i see a very very big difference with a very good standby time.
very fast scrolls in browser, gallery, and settings and launcher, install apps 5x faster, take shot 2x faster with camera, and the speed in browser is extremly fast. it boots much faster, you can try init.d tweaks for memory management.
and now... you can spend your time with make your homescreen, or skin nicer and nicer, and then share with us
With topogigi v1.7, OC at 1,4GHz got 4110 in quadrant!
At 1GHz was 3231
Edit with v1.9 +SP1 & HP kernel RC1 @1,4GHz "4416"
Custom kernels support "epeen enlargment".
Thats a different aproach to how sql database writes which doesnt make difference in speed in real use but makes a huge diference in benchmarks.
Where you see "sql hack" avoid it. No real advantage and it could be a potentcial data loss.
So there is a big part of the change
Wow...Reading this I feel like I still have to learn a lot about Android developments! hehe
In general I'm very satisfied with my phone, its fast, stable, never had an error.
I'll see if I can touch the 4000 score without increase processor speed, any tip?
I'm currently using CM7 Nightly 156 + Vorkernel 2.6.32.41 with Ginger 2.3.5.
Edit:
Guys, my 3g network was bad and I tried to restart my phone, when initializing he froze on LG logo (second one). I tried to replace the Kernel and had no success, so I had to reinstall CM7!! And the phone worked....I think that the problem was a Vorkernel update that I made by a program called Vorkernel update inside the OS!
Now I'm using the stock kernel from CM7 till get home at least. I ran Quadrant again and got 3143 point @1.0Ghz! That is a lot! hehe
Leaked GB 2.3.4

Yeap, in Topogigi's thread a guy showed a nearly 5000 screenshot with some tweaks of his own..
It's probably good to remind that tweaking a ROM to have better scores in benchmarks doesn't mean a better user experience in practical use.
When you know which tests are made by the benchmark app, you can optimize the dedicated part of code in ROM to have better results, it dosn't mean the entire ROM will be snappier. The most famous is sqlite optimizations as all benchmarks use sqlite tests...
So it can give a good idea but it's not the Holy Bible...
2369 on stock rom for me. I wonder if my phone is not performing like it should. No custom kernels.

ALPHA #4 of CM9/ICS for Droid 3
DON'T LET GOOGLE RESTORE YOUR SETTINGS WHEN INSTALLING THIS ROM COMING FROM GINGERBREAD
An OMAP4 optimized build using CM9/AOSP sources. I used some of the published Moto Source from D3 and RAZR where I felt it was appropriate to get the low level services running.

KNOWN ISSUES:
- Leaving Bluetooth on but not paired causes all audio to stop working on the phone. If you turn off Bluetooth then audio comes back.
Temporary Workarounds:
- For GSM/WCDMA users please enter *#*#4636#*#* into the dialer. Then goto "Phone Information". Near the bottom of that screen there's a drop down of network preference. For GSM-ONLY use GSM (PRL). Exit that screen and reboot the phone.
What is working in this build:
Fixed Data usage stats
Removed useless FM radio apps
SD Card change: internal = /sdcard, external = /sdcard-ext (just like Motorola setup)
Facebook sync
Voice search fixed
Trebuchet as launcher (Nebkat rules)
Many hard keyboard issues resolved (including B key! Thanks to Tezet)
Bugfixes from Alpha #1
Embedded GApps (for now)
Larger default apns-conf.xml file for international use
Embedded WirelessTether app
3G Data
Audio
phone is connected to the network
Wifi
GPS
Bluetooth
SD Cards (needs testing again)
HW Accelerated Graphics (RenderScript apps will have issues -- like Web Browser)
Adbd
What isn't working:
Camera (in progress)
Some Codecs (in progress)

xD Nothing works. But previewing ICS is really cool. Does it still have the flashing issue from the previous build?

This build doesn't crash alot like the last one. You can really see how smooth the UI is.
And what flashing issue did you have?

Awesome. By flashing, I meant how the screen would go black and the weird Chinese error messages would pop up. That got in the way of seeing how smooth it was. For the few seconds it didn't crash, it was very smooth.

No, all of that is fixed. It's very zippy.
Does this mean you have decided.....
Does this mean you have decided to use your development time with ICS rather than finish CM7? So far, your CM7 is coming along nicely, but without video cam support, I may have to go back to a non AOSP build which I don't want to do. Can you tell us if you intend to work on CM7? Personally, I'm far more interested in a clean CM7 than ICS.
Thanks again!

I do intend to jump back into CM7 and clean up some of the open issues. But, I'm on heavy grind seeing how far this ICS build can go and how quickly.
As far as I know making the camera / camcorder work in ICS will be easier than in CM7. But, I haven't gotten into that section yet. It's the ICS audio that worries me.
Right on man! Thanks for all the work you put into the d3

Hashcode, you're a beast dude. Unbelievable
Before I ran this I was all for you keeping on CM7, but after playing around I think ICS is a MUCH BETTER investment of your time! 10 days in (give or take) and this is what is to show, pretty amazing if you ask me!
You live up to you name Hash, keep up the great work we appreciate it =]
