Quick question, why did you base it on 2.2 when 2.3.3 CM7 is in much more finished state?
Sent from my GT540 using XDA App

Maybe some more specs?
Joost

Prefer the look of froyo
Basically I prefer the 2.2s look

Yeah, its a openswift rom

That rom isnt a fake Quarx rom?
mod: too late 4 april fool, i think...

Test it with qudrant advanced. If the result is around 900 without overclock then it must be 2.2 . If the result is around 400 then it must be Fake quarx...

i dont get it. some things didnt work on openswift did you fix all that?

Its based on openswift 4.5, all i done is odexed it to make it faster and have more free ram.

Nice job.
It's a shame that 4.5 was missing the fixes Quarx made in 4.4...
Are you looking to develop the code or was odexing all you wanted to do?

Very cool! Flashing now.
I took a peek at your team's work on the Vibrant forums when you popped up over here to get an idea at what we could hope to see. Very impressive. (Also sticking it to a certain not-to-be-named kangster always wins cool points with me. )
EDIT: Everythings working great! Man this sucker is fast, I noticed it straight away.
Nice testing now...keep up the good work
Nice to see first roms rollin
Is the OC kernel included in your rom?
THANK you! Testing!
I forgot to ask. Do we need to have voodoo enabled when we flash just like the tech demo??
it is already enabled in the rom
Ok thanyou
is 1.2ghz oc kernel included?

Can you provide a cifs.ko module for your kernel?
Thanks
Is there any reason the 3D scores on quadrant (in your pics) look like tiny slivers compared to devices below it?
Also, does bluetooth work after using EXT4 tweaks?

tiny change in init.rc, booting it here right now, highest nenamark yet, but i will tweak voltages tomorrow, so we get a better initial product out.
for testing, you know it's on the other thread for stock roms (you can boot it with this rom and then run the adb shell mount line from the ext4 thread, but this does not get you everything somb put in his init script)

Because Quadrant doesn't properly support Nexus S/gingerbread on the graphics benchmarks lol. Imagine how much higher this thing would be . Just add the Galaxy S 3d and 2d benchmarks to it and that's the real score
i've followed you guys from my vibrant now here too? awesome! just got my NS today

Currently, quadrant doesn't support 2d/3d testing for the nexus s. It crashes. I turned off those two tests.

THE 5th VERSION OF THE FIRMWARE: Advance Lite Edition
Deodexed ROM 20D CIS from 02.12.2010g.
I decided to deodex all system APK and JAR, but to remove the compression, resulting in increased size of the application, but it will increase its rate of discovery! The size of files within the APC is equal to the size of the APC! In short, there is no need to unpack the application before its opening, application opens instantly, resulting in reduced load on the processor, and thus in theory be extended duration of battery life!
Version is designed for experienced users! The system is completely cleaned of debris! Leaving only the vital applications! Simply put - Naked System!
Data ; 107 Free space in the Data - 107 MB
System ; 83 Free space in the System - 83 megabytes (for manual installation of applications!)
Maximum freed memory! (Gamers will like it!)
The kernel of Quarx v.3.1 + modules
Starting with version number 4, it remains:
Framework, host, bootanimation, root, RootExplorer and BusyBox, Sound Scheme.

Great ROM, fast in everything except when entering contacts or messages. Sometimes it needs like 3-4 seconds to show them. This is the only negative I have to say about this or any other modded 2.1 ROM (Elegance i.e.).
Damn good ROM... but missing my 3D gallery
EDIT:
I just added the 3D gallery by myself and its working pritty well !

Is good but ROM 20E has better performance than 20D for what i've read in 4PDA. It has been release recently and its in plans of more good modifications.

People still don't realise 2.1 is still faster and ligher than Swiftdroid and Froyo on the GT540, besides those are incomplete ROMS, with worse battery life and full of problems with headsets.

so i wonder why people are using froyo and gingerbread if they are worse than 2.1 i used swiftdroid and liked it but the biggest disadvantage was battery life

[ROM] BlazingDragon v2.3a - Fast and Furious

About
This ROM is based on MCR with a few tweaks and mods of my own. It's meant to be light and fast and yet stable as possible. The changelog might show newer versions but it might not be out yet. Usually i will update the changelog to let people know what to expect in the next release. v2.3 will convert to EXT4 automatically for you. It's not recommended to use PP or any tweakpacks because it might interfere with the tweaks currently in the rom.

Downloading Most people are waiting for CM7 I think.
But I will try this, because this one is available now
All downloads failed for me, have to wait 15min again to get another chance to download :s
Can't you use multiupload.com?
I like the ROM with Ginger skin and the speed. For the moment it's ok.
yes the ginger skin is nice.
We will see how batterylife will be tomorrow.
any screenshot and bench?
Like it thanks

Mind sharing a screenshot and just a flashable ZIP with the theme?
I got a couple of Force Closes so far, the Quadrant results are "normal", around 3000 points. The theme is standard Gingerbread.
I really wish those controls on the notification window. I don't know why removing them is considered a good idea. Also the LG stock music player seems very good compared to the standard Android.
Anyway, it seems to be a great rom. Thanks.
LE: the Eternity Project kernel 1.5b works without problems with this rom.
With 1.5b kernel, i have 3700 quadrant and 4900 Antutu bench score. All working. Thx

Preview of the upcoming BlazingDragon v1.2

[ROM] ProjectSense 0.1 [2.2.1][Sense]

This is my first time cooking a rom, so please tell me if I'm doing anything wrong and I'll try to fix it.
GENERAL INFO
This rom is a continuation of HTC TatFroyoSense v0.4 (WWE edition) (I just couldn't let it die). At the moment it is identical to it with a few exceptions mentioned below and it uses kiljacken's overclockable kernel.
In other words it is a Sense 2.2.1 Rom ported from the HTC Wildfire.

These are the languages found in the framework-res.apk.

Hi KrisInfinity,
you could change following values in init.rc file of ramdisk, to keep launcher in memory
change values of following two to keep launcher in memory
setprop ro.HOME_APP_ADJ to 0
setprop ro.HOME_APP_MEM to 0 or 1536

Hi. You can use the one in CM7 rom
By any chance at start-up the lock-screen can be disabled as my digitiser is screwed
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1291819
Coz I am looking high n low for a APK which can fully control the keyboard by the trackball

Sure, you can enable unlocking the device by pressing a key twice. As you would on sense android 1.6 pressing menu twice. Here's a thread that shows how http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=683902
However this Rom is set to run HtcCalibrate at first boot which requires the touchpad to calibrate the screen.

You have to wipe before flashing because CM7 is a gingerbread rom while this is a froyo sense rom. However I suggest you to make a backup before doing anything, and you can easily restore if you want to go back.
As for the future I can't make any promises, however the only thing not working is FM Radio, everything else works. I even remember BT file transfer to be working.

Enter Hidden Menu (search the forum for how), Version Info, Factory version. That's the real version of the baseband. It seems to be an "accepted truth" that the latest 0725 fixes the FD-bug on 3G, other than that it shouldn't matter.

A Wipe is always recommended, they use different bases.
Why do not use Pimp My CPU 3.0 ? And it is possible to have the original framework ?

LG launcher is always slow even with 1.4 ghz. You could notice slight more responsiveness on LG launcher but not much. But on other launchers you could notice drastic UI improvements
