Very cool! Flashing now.
I took a peek at your team's work on the Vibrant forums when you popped up over here to get an idea at what we could hope to see. Very impressive. (Also sticking it to a certain not-to-be-named kangster always wins cool points with me. )
EDIT: Everythings working great! Man this sucker is fast, I noticed it straight away.

Nice testing now...keep up the good work

Nice to see first roms rollin
Is the OC kernel included in your rom?
THANK you! Testing!

I forgot to ask. Do we need to have voodoo enabled when we flash just like the tech demo??

it is already enabled in the rom

Ok thanyou

is 1.2ghz oc kernel included?

Sorry, I wasn't trying to rub it in. I'm slow at quoting

Can you provide a cifs.ko module for your kernel?
Thanks

Is there any reason the 3D scores on quadrant (in your pics) look like tiny slivers compared to devices below it?
Also, does bluetooth work after using EXT4 tweaks?

tiny change in init.rc, booting it here right now, highest nenamark yet, but i will tweak voltages tomorrow, so we get a better initial product out.
for testing, you know it's on the other thread for stock roms (you can boot it with this rom and then run the adb shell mount line from the ext4 thread, but this does not get you everything somb put in his init script)

Because Quadrant doesn't properly support Nexus S/gingerbread on the graphics benchmarks lol. Imagine how much higher this thing would be . Just add the Galaxy S 3d and 2d benchmarks to it and that's the real score

i've followed you guys from my vibrant now here too? awesome! just got my NS today

Currently, quadrant doesn't support 2d/3d testing for the nexus s. It crashes. I turned off those two tests.

That rom isnt a fake Quarx rom?
mod: too late 4 april fool, i think...
Test it with qudrant advanced. If the result is around 900 without overclock then it must be 2.2 . If the result is around 400 then it must be Fake quarx...

Its based on openswift 4.5, all i done is odexed it to make it faster and have more free ram.
Nice job.
It's a shame that 4.5 was missing the fixes Quarx made in 4.4...
Are you looking to develop the code or was odexing all you wanted to do?

Removed :
-Some Livewallpaper
-AppAdvisor
-Livewallpaper->Move to /data/app
-PolarisOffice->Move to /data/app
-Bash binary from previous version
Pre-requisite Installing :
1. Do nandroid first!
2. Make sure you have at least 200MB in /data partition -> will be used by ROM for temporary ODEX processing..
About this ROM :
1. This ROM comes with PRE-ODEX /system/app, it means, it will ODEX after boot for first time.
2. If you want to modify some APKs inside /system/app, make sure /system/apps size not bigger that 115MB, above that size, there is probability ODEX process get failure, and your OS get mess...
3. On first boot after installing, around 3 minutes after first boot, your lovely LG Optimus 2x will get sluggish, so, I recommend you not anything. Just let the phone do ODEX process for while(usually takes less than 5 minutes), after that your phone will reboot
4. On second boot, the system will recognized all ODEX and new optimized APKs inside /system/apps, and for my recommendation, after you get lockscreen, just reboot again
5. On third boot, all system apks already recognized fine by operating system
6. Enjoy it...

If you don't like the fonts, you can always replace 3 fonts in /system/fonts. They are :
-DroidSans.ttf -> usually with light/regular font type
-DroidSans-Bold.ttf -> usually with bold font type
-Clockopia.ttf -> usually same as DroidSans font
Bugs :
Please report any force close application(I can't test all APKs)
Cautions :
1. I don't provide support to implement kernel in other ROM. The reason, it may little hard for me to fix problem if the kernel doesn't compatible with other ROM.

yea, i know that.., that's why I'm really confuse..., is there a problem with those power information in LG gingerbread??? you may take a look another screenshoot when I left my android when sleeping with 3G and all sync on...(I check gmail when I wokeup, last sync is around 5am, so, I'm sure nothing wrong with the network)
Yes I think there is a problem with showing accurate battery/power information in the leaked GB for the O2x .
I'm using the Flair Rom that is based on leaked stock GB and I always only the huge jumps in my battery percentage. It stays for one hour at 95% (even under hheavy CPU load) and then rapidly (in 1min) drops to 79% (in Idle)....
Well my battery still lasts a lot longer with V20C than with CM7, so I guess with optimisations it can be done. But still, theres something not quite right.
Good job Man ! Have you activacte goverrnor ?
Sent from my LG-P990 using Tapatalk
The new kernel may be applied to the stock rom gb v20e?
it seems LG do something else with the kernel in v20e, problem like storage mount problem, init.d script load problem maybe caused by kernel. Eventhough, I'm already using latest LG v20e ramdisk to test kernel loading, it seems beyond ramdisk solution. So, unless I know what is the problem, or LG post new kernel source code, I'm going to postpone new kernel release. Releasing for v20c is not worth I think, what LG have done in v20e already great, so, I think we better need wait LG kernel source code...
Hi, me again(it's weekend now)
I've successfully make the v20e run the kernel without almost any problem. The current problem only related with v20e loading time. When I change the kernel, it seems android loading process looks like in v20c, not like in v20e. So, I'm going to check, what's the problem...
Progress :
-Fix SDCARD mount problem->like I said, LG change something, so, I need to match the device location like v20c. It can mount the storage fine right now.
-Add init.d support -> change ramdisk, so now, I can run zram again.. and offcourse somescripts..

wonderful news indeed.
i've managed to fool firmware v20e when using custom kernel loading slowdown, now, custom kernel can loading fast without need to force dexopt..., ok, ready to rumble right now

(BTW, I heard from GetRIL's author that there's now a v20G floating around.)

ok, no problem, as long LG keep the way they handle custom kernel like v20e or v20c. If they change...., hmm...., need to find a way again
update : it seems, it stop force dexopt in /data/app, but, it still dexopt in /system/app..., OMG.., LG...!!!

Tweaked Kernel v2
Work well on 1.9.23, 1.9.30 and CM7 nightly builds. Need Feedback.
Dont forget to read review from link at bottom of post if using CM7 builds.
Features :
Original Upgraded & Latest Kernel Base & its features (with UV/OC) --> Battery Saver Kernel
Juwe's Tweak --> Best RAM optimization - best balance between free memory, multitask, speed of launching apps and system speed
Darky's Zipalign --> Zip Aligning Files
Loopy Smoothness Tweaks (On Testing) --> Smoother Response & Less Delay while unlocking, notification pulldown, etc
Voodoo Support
FFC Support (EXPERIMENTAL)
What To Expect in Next Versions :
GPS Tweaks <== Couldn't work on these for v2 since 1.9.30 came out early and FFC experimentation began.
More Optimization Scripting
Better FFC Support
Steps to follow :
Reboot in Recovery Mode.
Flash this zip file, it takes care of all.
Reboot.
> Most of the Tweaks are already added to 360 Productions Released ROMs.
> This kernel is NOT coded by me, and is only for people who would like to add tweaks with original kernel taste.
> This can be also used by those already flashed/using other Kernel and want to step to original Kernel.
> I don't take credit for this original kernel's base work.
> I just made CWM flashable (didn't found anywhere & I need badly to test different kernels' performance) and added tweaks.
> This will reset your GPS to stock! .
Tested by me ON MIUI & CM7 nightly builds. Flash on your own risk. Feedback needed.
Neither me nor 360 Productions will be held responsible if something goes wrong.

Not sure for Voodoo Color.
As mentioned in OP, kernel base not coded by me.
I am learning to code kernel myself, when done voodoo profile would be available.

> Most of the Tweaks are already added to 360 Productions Released ROMs.
> This kernel is NOT coded by me, and is only for people who would like to add tweaks with original kernel taste.
> This can be also used by those already flashed/using other Kernel and want to step to original Kernel.
> I don't take credit for this original kernel's work.
> I just made CWM flashable (didn't found anywhere & I need badly to test different kernels' performance) and added tweaks.
> This will reset your GPS to stock! Please confirm if its working or not for v1.
Tested by me ON MIUI not CM7. Flash on your own risk. Feedback needed.
Neither me nor 360 Productions will be held responsible if something goes wrong.

What was your previous kernel? Did you reboot your phone again after feeling warm? I faced this same while on Glitch Kernel. The lithium build had Glitch Kernel and I wanted to switch to Atinm's build, hence this release. Everything working quite good this side.
EDIT: Here are screenshots of system info from my phone, I believe battery life to improve with calibration cycles.
some gps fix on the next build makes me excited.
and here i share you something about vibrant GPS. as you know, even if replacing the gpsd and changing settings by angrygps.apk, vibrant GPS works randomly.
i am now aware that only if gpsd is appeared in the battery-consuming list(settings-system-battery-battery use), GPS works well!!!! BUT the dilemma is that gpsd don't launch every time you boot your phone.

That dilemma can be resolved using some scripting, I think.
Thanks for the info.
FFC Support Definitely Coming in v2.
oh man...i love u for this......no homo
Thread updated with latest kernel.
FFC Experimental Support added.
Need feedback which version is better since both version have different files.
Please read OP carefully before flashing.
Hey neobuddy,
Glad to see a new updated kernel around here
So if Im not mistaken, the original kernel is the kernel atinm was creating correct?
Also, what would you say has the best battery life for CM7? And will these kernels give better battery life than the kernel that comes with CM7?

Suppose to work well on CM7.
Working smooth on MIUI.
I will test myself within couple of hours.
And will post results in the OP.
I'm not getting Screen V1 gamma hack in voodoo control with your kernel. Can you add that to next version?

Did you flashed latest v2 from the OP? If no, please do so.
And what ROM are you on?
I just checked with Tweaked Kernel v2. And I am getting gamma hack.
Note: If you cannot see gamma hack, you probably are on Tweaked/original Kernel v1.
Is this kernel based off of cm7 #134?

Nope, this kernel is based on MIUI 1.9.30.
I just added changelog, maybe that will solve some of doubts.
I am testing CM7 Builds and kernels.
Will report back and introduce if any better findings.
I just reflashed v2 tweaked and I still don't get screen v1 gamma hacks and the screen is dim at full brightness. I am using the new 2.37 cm7. I am back to Neo17r16 and the screen v1 gamma hacks shows up and works properly with no brightness issues.
Just wanna ask about ffc orientation.. I'm on miui 1. 9. 30 with ffc-6.. (glitch) ang I have a wrong orientation..

Long story short, this is a follow-up to the excellent work Stefan did with his ICS28G release. I decided to post this rom some days before my original intentions, because Stefan's thread is now closed and there will be no follow-up. Besides that, LG is making us wait until the end of the world before releasing their official update and this will make me work twice at least (now and when the proper kernel sources will be released). That's all.
Feedbacks are welcome.
DISCLAIMER: This ROM comes with NO warranty. If you brick your phone, don't blame me, I'm only experimenting with my phone and sharing the results with you, mates!
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
- BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP your actual rom and your data before installing anything!!!!!!
- Follow accurately Stefan's instructions in his original thread: this is a rom meant to be installed with nvflash!
- Reboot your device at the end of the process, go to system/xbin with a terminal emulator and type "su" and "v6sc" for checking the V6Supercharger functionalities
- Enjoy your new rom.

P.S. This rom wipes completely your phone (see changelog for exceptions),Backup all your data before installing this Rom!!!
KNOWN ISSUES:
- Overclocking is highly unstable in this rom. I managed to OC my device for a few minutes but it hangs in a while. So, OC is for now enabled only for TESTING PURPOSES! Keep that in mind and do not complain about it until I will manage to make it stabler. (All OC issues are solved flashing SP2: overclock is really stable on my device @ 1.3 Ghz)

ROM is uploading now (37% at the time being).
In the meanwhile, I drop some notes and some thoughts about it:
1) I use this rom from last week without any issue (besides overclocking) ad I must admit that even with the recompiled kernel I noticed no issue. Battery life is quite good compared to CM7.
2) The kernel is the same that AREMCEE used for his CM10 and the issues I noticed there are not present here. I mean I did not encounter the in call audio bug nor the Bluetooth always disconnecting issues here. So, I think that the old bootloader has a role in these bugs (the kernel is not the guilty part).
3) Overclocking: this is a real mistery for me: on other devices the same code works a charm: here you can't achive a stable OC even at 1.2 Ghz. Please help me to discover if this behaviour is limited to my own device. Try to OC gradually and report your results. The rom will always boot at 1.0Ghz, so no risk to brick it!
4) ZRAM really helps in making device snappier, so you can assume that LG did finally a good work and all the lags you can experiment are due to RAM constraints.
Let me know....
Will test it directly, thanks!
If you want I could share my resumes after one day with you at the friday evening.
Good, we need the new builds of ICS, custom rom ICS, come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank's master.
welcome back.... many here missed you.

EDit: yes OC is little flaky right now but we should be coming to stable point when more people work on it.
And old bootloader is not related to in-call audio bug, it will appear after 3-4 days. But its not always the case, that issue is not traceable. Bluetooth fix was simple and it would not be in your kernel if you are not using cyanogenmo_p990_defconfig
So happy to see "new" devs, will be looking forward to flashing this

That's the way I like to develop. Sharing code (very well commented code) is the way to go IMHO. Cooperation is the key to success.
But.......I will miss Stefan in any case (even if my personal line of thought is nearer to yours than Stefan's one). Devs are rare stuff for a device that's slowly dying, and if I can put a good word in this fuss, try to find a good compromise with him, my friend

Is possible to make 1 OC kernel to official cm10?
Upload finished, rom online. Enjoy.
P.S. I will make a CWM flshable zip, but many people are now stuck with the old bootloader and ATM it's better to release a rom with nvflash. I'll consider to build two versions next time.

[KERNEL][AOSP][LINARO-4.8-O3][N80xx][UNDER/OVERCLOCK][FAST CHARGE] MM_alpha-0.6

Hi guys,
since we haven't got any kernel for our omni roms I've decided to make one. For now it's just an alpha but to me seems pretty stable I'm releasing here as a test. Please report what do you think. It's based on "stock" omni kernel with overclock (for now I'm using this commits https://github.com/marco9333/androi...mmit/1d75a501447e609dbb412c350d79ac1ef720a630 and https://github.com/marco9333/androi...mmit/36cf4ca9c78144f336dad4af88049b4a6bf59fac but from next release I'll try @humberos commit https://github.com/humberos/android...mmit/5f768f943d0c420860575e22756b58ff64f0c596 as he suggested See changelog below).
I've tested on Omnirom and @nerdyblonde reported it is working on Carbon, feel free to try on any AOSP based rom (not Samsung based)
Features:
An awful name (I'll try to find a better one)
Different versions for n8000 and n801x
Overclock up to 1600Mhz (booting max freq is 1400Mhz) and underclock to 100 Mhz (booting min freq is 200 Mhz) -> version 0.2 and newer
I've added a (temporary) my commit https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/c/9555/2 to force cpu frequency range to stock values (I'll decide about merging this in omni rom official builds)
Version 0.1 built with different flags and toolchains but from the next one I'll use only linaro (maybe I'll try sabermod too) See below
See changelog
TODO:
Add fast-charge -> I've almost finished this, I hope to post an update soon (maybe today) DONE
Add underclock (100 Mhz, see humberos commit above) Done.... version 0.2 and up See below
Change installing script to solve possible dialer problems with some roms (unpack modify and repack original boot.img I'll use https://github.com/ModdingMyMind/boot_manipulation but I'll need some time)
Add more schedulers and/or governors (???)
Tell me what would you like to have and I'll think about that
Add thanks to all the developers

Now powerkey should switch the screen on faster (no lag between pressing and screen on) All credits to https://github.com/dsc-team/dsc-team-kernel-project Not working
Added some patches from linaro, they should give more battery juice-> got about +400 points with antutu if you believe in benchmarks... I don't
Version 0.4
Changed mounts flags for system, data, cache and preload (with antutu I had about 300 for storage I/O now is around 980-989 with cfq, got better result with row, test it if you find some improvements)
Added some patches from linaro (see my github)
Increased i2c speed with wacom digitilizer(I'll test this tomorrow)

Introduced compiler flags from JustArchi's github and switched to linaro-4.8.4 (should give a performance boost)
Version 0.6
Enabled previous added SMT (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simultaneous_multithreading)
Patches for conservative and ondemand governors
Added zzmoove governor
Enabled more governors (interactive and adaptive)
Other small changes (check my github)

How to temporary enable fastchargeYou need a rooted device but since you're using a custom rom I assume that you have it
Download a terminal emulator app on google play store
Open it, write su and press enter(superuser or supersu should popup, grant root access)
Write echo 1 > /sys/kernel/fast_charge/fast_charge to enable
Write echo 0 > /sys/kernel/fast_charge/fast_charge to disable
Done
This settings will be reset on startup, if someone is interested I can write a init.d script to set fast_charge on boot just let me know DONE. See below
Stock charging settings AC -> 1800 mAh USB -> 600 mAh
Fast charging settings AC ->1900 mAh USB -> 1500 mAh
How to set kernel parameter on boot (Version 0.4 and up)
You need root and a root browser (like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.root.browserfree)
Go to /system/etc/init.d and open 99mm_alpha file (it's a plain text file)
All the settings are commented
First section is for cpu frequency set on boot (by default max freq is the stock one so no overclock, try to set it with a kernel app, if everything is alright you can after modify this file)
The second section is about wacom pen, choose the sampling rate you prefe: higher means more smoothness, but possible higher battery consumption
Last section is for fast charge change the 0 in the last line with a 1 to get fast charge enabled at each boot (you should have echo 1 > /sys/kernel/fast_charge/fast_charge)

I haven't got time to try on other roms but should work with every AOSP based (like Carbon). You can always try it just flash in recovery: if the boot is ok then it's working, if you got a bootloop you can go to recovery and reflash the whole rom without wiping so you won't lose your data (I think doing a backup is better, just in case)
I can confirm the kernel works on Carbon Rom.. Underclocking works great... I don't overclock though.. Thanks for compiling this for us!
Thanks for taking the time to create it and thanks nerdy for testing

Phone fc is quite strange since you are using a n8013 which don't have a modem. In n801x version of the kernel isn't included the modem driver, so this is the cause of that force close IMHO. You can try two things:
Go to settings-> apps-> all-> dialer-> disable -> reboot and check (now phone app is disabled so it shouldn't crash since is not running)
Or download and flash n8000 kernel. (with the modem drivers so the process can't complain anymore)
I have a N8013 as well.. I didn't get any force closes.. I uninstall all system apps I don't use, the dialer being one of them.. I flashed thru TWRP.. Hope you get it working
Ok that would make sense since I never uninstalled the dialer app. Never needed to lol I will try and report back. Thanks.

Couldn't even get there. The FCs happen too quickly. After closing a dialog it immediately appears.
When the message appear do not close the dialog but try to pull down the quicksettings and go to settings from there... If this won't work I'll add a script to kernel zip to clean dialer data (if possible) so you can easily flash directly without further actions
