Awesome! AFAIK this is the first "rom" flashable via CWM for the atrix
Great work I hope this is the first of many.
just a heads up if you have deleted Swype and installed beta this will really FC it up. You can take out Swype.apk before you flash it.

Now we just need a 1.2.7.zip
Noob question but why do we need an sd card to do this?

I might be completely off here but to flash back to stock if there's a mess up. Instead of having to go to our computer and running the sbf. Does that make any sence?

Hey just a heads up to the op.. You might want to mention that this doesn't work on bell users. Or does it...

Hey Ken,
Can this be used on top of your GingerBlur RC1?

No... I think you're a bit confused about this. Flashing back to stock will still require a nandroid restore (idk if possible) or SBF flash.

No. If you don't understand what this does, you're better off not installing it at all!

Ken, you're still the champ!

GingerBlur RC1 is based on the Deodexed 1.2.6 framework and system, and this is the deodexed 1.5.7 update.zip. It does not seem like too far of a stretch for them to be compatible. I am not sure how this indicates that I don't understand what it does.

This one has none of the GingerBlur modifications... so it will effectively delete your GingerBlur theme.

Gotcha. I will just wait for your 1.5.7 based Gingerblur. Is the install on that going to be CWM-based too?

Unless you have that version of the firmware and are with the carrier it's made for, no, it wouldn't be.

i am a little bit new to this so i dont quite know how to install it from the SD Card can anyone help me with this step?

i'm clueless about what exactly this is for so forgive me if i'm way off, but is there any chance of using this to update to 1.5.7 from stock 1.5.2?

No, if you want to update to 1.57 and retain root, then you still have to do what everyone else does, flash 1.26 sbf, etc. etc. etc.
This just deodexes your 1.57; read here & educate yourself (not meant in a mean way): http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/what-is-odex-and-deodex-in-android-complete-guide/

[ROM] [NANDROID BACKUP] Nexus S Android 2.3.3 GRI40 both stock and rooted

So here are nandroid backups of my Nexus S (GT-I9020T) Android 2.3.3, created with ClockworkMod 3.0.0.5. Worked for me, may or may not work for you. If you mess up, don't blame me
Code:
ro.build.description=soju-user 2.3.3 GRI40 102588 release-keys
ro.build.fingerprint=google/soju/crespo:2.3.3/GRI40/102588:user/release-keys
Warning: This does not update the radio!
Stock: http://www.mediafire.com/?weataw4w7v1anl4
MD5: f45229bf87eadf5e00698052cf001327
Completely stock, no tweaks or modifications whatsoever.
Rooted: http://www.mediafire.com/?c1ww7zb837uycbk
MD5: 8af98f7106e80224331b2185adb4bd65
This is just the stock rom with su-2.3.6.1 applied (from here), no other tweaks or modifications. If you need BusyBox, then you can find an installer here.
Restore by unzipping (with paths) to the root of the SD card, boot into ClockworkMod Recovery, and choose Restore from backup.
If you need more detailed instructions, have a look at this thread. Of course, if you need detailed step-by-step explanations, maybe you shouldn't be messing around with this anyway
Thanks to:

Thank you, trying it now

Sorta. Wasn't difficult to figure out what I was doing wrong but for others that may come back wondering.
Open the zip, extract the actual nandroid backup file from the backup folder and dump it in the clockworkmod backup folder. Then you can restore from CMR
Thanks for doing this though. I'll definitely go back to Cyanogen once they incorporate but I'm tired of the reboots.

I don't really care about quadrant but I can tell you the color makes the screen look like a Toshiba Satellite Pro with Passive Matrix display, circa 1999.
Shockingly bad.
Other than that, I think this is essentially 2.3.2 with the reboot bug fix and maybe some other minor tweaks I may discover later. Though with this color problem as soon as a CM nightly has that fix incorporate, while hopefully resolving the color issue, I'll be right back on it.
I've been an android fan since the G1 but they are making some really bad decisions. Bugs happen but to release two builds with such major, and obvious flaws. Not to mention the first crack in the armor in my opinion, choosing Samsung as their Google Experience phone Mfg...... Not like I'm switchin teams but damn guys, pull it together.

[ ROM ][ 7-27 ] HMJ37.UEKM7 with TouchWiz for the GT-P7510

This ROM is based on the OTA that t3rabyte received, it's completely stock with root and busybox. This is meant as a flashable version of the dump he posted, so I don't plan on posting mods or fixes for it as I am also posting a custom ROM later based on this that I will do that for.
Also the kernel has been slightly modded to disable secure mode & enable init.d support.
I HIGHLY recommend you factory reset/wipe data before you flash this, even if your coming from the other TouchWiz ROM
The 2 version are:
Calkulin's_GT-P7510_HMJ37.UEKM7_ROM - Stock form
Calkulin's_GT-P7510_HMJ37.UEKM7_De-odex'd_ROM - De-odex'd for theming, mods, etc
Special thanks to t3rabyte
Nice, i add some mods to it
Very cool, thanks for the effort. Can't wait to see what you come up with! I need to root my GT, was waiting for the weekend but maybe tonight...
So installing the first one is basically like getting the update straight from the horses mouth? Sans the root and busybox of course.

The Rom is in .zip so you need CWM in order to install.
Look here or Here For instructions on how to install CWM.
Then download the .zip install it through CWM. The rom is already rooted.
For a locked tab, your only option probably is to flash the clockworkmod recovery through ODIN, instructions are in this that thread

In a few short days this will support ROM flashing. Just be patient.

Possibly dumb question

I am rooted on 4.1.1
Can I install safestrap and install custom ROMs?
If yes does the ROM have to use the same kernel that is on my phone already?
I have done standard recovery ROMs on my prior phones but have zero experience with locked boot loaders and custom ROMs. I was under the impression that with root I can modify system files but can't change the kernel???? Or am I way off?
Any guidance would be appreciated.

That's what I was thinking I just wanted to make sure before bricking my phone.
So I can install safestrap and then install.... say the joker ROM ...... or any other ROM built on the stock one but my mileage may vary.
And if I'm reading about safestrap right it doesn't overwrite stock it merely boots along side it.... kind of like a dual boot PC but using the same kernel? And if I want to OTA I can because stock is still intact?
Oh, and I was first to donate on the bounty

That's what I was thinking I just wanted to make sure before bricking my phone.
So I can install safestrap and then install.... say the joker ROM ...... or any other ROM built on the stock one but my mileage may vary.
And if I'm reading about safestrap right it doesn't overwrite stock it merely boots along side it.... kind of like a dual boot PC but using the same kernel? And if I want to OTA I can because stock is still intact?
Oh, and I was first to donate on the bounty

Right on man. Create a rom slot and it never touches stock partition. Joker is good, but the rom I am working on now. It will be amazing
