Thanks Section
First I want to thank RootzWiki for this awesome forum that we can share our work on. Next I would like to thank my team for putting up with me disappearing for two weeks to make this work for you guys. There are so many people I want to thank for making this possible. First biggest thanks to slayher, he did this first and has helped out with ALOT of bugs that he had to deal with when there was no one else here to help him fix them. He also helped me update this to mr2.5 General thanks go to birdman, b16, cvpcs, the whole cm team, peteralfonso, drod2169, ksknightmare, the irc guys, sgarriques, imoseyon, the users in this thread including avlfive and jaxidian and mikereDD which i've seen answer hundreds of questions. If I don't have you listed and you helped in some way, biggest thanks to you. Im old sorry.

not yet, someone is working on it for me

Yes yes yes yes

Everything's awesome except there's one thing I am nitpicky about...when the phone is in landscape, boxes outline the main dock. Is there anyway to fix that and still keep the launcher? (Other than getting a new launcher; adw, etc.)

you could probably manually edit the images for it.

Can someone who has come from cm7 nightlies please tell me what is different/better about this build? I know this is built independent of CM, but I'm trying to gauge if the differences are enough to warrant flashing this and restoring all my data and apps. Thanks.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App

Where might I find the files for that? And any particular reason as to why you did it? Doesn't bother me that much, I'm just wondering if there was a practical reason for it.

Well.
AOSP Laucher2 doesnt support landscape by default.
When I enabled that setting, it threw some stuff off. The landscape drawable werent updated for gb, so the launcher in landscape had the froyo buttons, kida white-ish and translucent.
What i did was take the images from the portrait verison, and swap those in. The result isnt perfect, but its better than no landscape and/or froyo images

I cannot get the market to work. When i start it, it looks like its gonna open and then just flashes back to the previous screen.
Ive reflashed OMFGB, booted it, then went back to recovery and flashed GAPPS seperately, still no luck.
Any suggestions?

Working on 2.3 ROM combining, testers/ideas needed (FIXED) 12-26

So I'm combining the ROM by R2DoesINC, and PreludeDrew. I can take NO Credit for this what so ever. It all goes to those two BAMF's!!! It's built on v15 of Drews 2.3 build but has the good live wallpapers, ringtones, launcher, etc from R2's build.
I'm adding a little more now and will upload it when it's running like it should along with some screen shots. I need some peeps to tell me what could improve it (aside from major bugs that the usual 2.3 ROM's are having.) I'm talking visually, etc
If this is a problem, please take this down. Just playing and thought I'd share my tinkering...

Okay:
Changed font to Nexus font
Added MIUI Music player cause it looks bad ass
Added the new, good Nexus Live Wallpaper (From R2's build)
Added new Notification tones (From R2's build)
Added Gingerbread Boot animation (From R2's build)
Other than that, it's basically the PreludeDrew v15 build

Is the working GPS from drews 15a intact?
Hey, you cannot include SetCPU in your build...
The creator specifically says that he doesn't want this. Link to his thread instead.
Mmm, and I'm just wondering, what would be the benefit of combining? Do any issues get fixed?

No fixes would come of it, mostly it will be the evervolv 2.3 ROM but with the stock graphics from OMGB. If you want this may be easier to just install some apks from the OMGB one and a gingerbread launcher from the market. There are several free ones that are direct ports.
If ya'all can wait... Evervolv will have the option for Stock launcher layout hopefully tonight. I wanted to get the big stuff out of the way before I dove into more customizations. The best thing about evervolv, is it is going to be customizable in any way possible. If i add something, it may take a little while... but it will become optional when finished. I've got no problem with this mod/rom, but imo i think its unnecessary. Nothing a few flashable zips couldn't take care of temporarily.

[THEME PORTS] UPDATED 10/14 For Deodexed Roms WIP

So, since I retired my d1, I haven't had time to do any theme porting. I did quite a few for Droid Concepts before I moved to my D3. Anyway, Im going to start porting some themes because im a bit of a theme junkie and like to change it up quite often and with the current lack of theme choices, its time to get to work. First thing I want to do is get some feedback and see what themes the community would like to see. My guess is since all the roms are based on the same framework, the ports "should" work on most of them. I am going to pick the top 3 themes that I get feedback on. As I am new to the D3s framework, they will be a work in progress until I find where everything is at. This is the reason for choosing 3 to begin with.
So let's see what you are all interested in. IMPORTANT: please provide a link to the theme when you post so we can all see.
Known issues:
-secondary menu(menu within the menu after pushing menu softkey ie: menu>more) has black on black text
Themes voted for so far:
Stock GB
*NOTE: These are for DEODEXED ROMS ONLY

how about a stock gingerbread theme?
been awhile since I used any of the D1 themes, will have to go back and look at some.
Black and white, at least mostly.
And no metallic, like the status bar in steel droid v2
And thank you for the interest in theming for the droid 3
I got the stock gb theme almost done. Just working on a couple of things. Just framework for now though.

this is what i wanted too. if you are rooted flash MonsterROM the theme is pretty thorough throughout. no gloss or metallic or anything like that. The only thing i wish is he would black out the settings and menus with white bars instead of just making black bars.

For starters, I'm on chevycams SteelDroid 3.0 (which means already deodexed). When I installed this package, there are a few things I noticed immediately that made the phone unusable. First as you unlock the phone this error pops up: "Sorry! The process.com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.". You get a similar error for many apps. Second, you get no service (at all). Your contacts are gone, and the camera is gone. Some of these things you can easily reinstall yes, but there are some things I may not know about that may not work. Many applications have errors so you can't access them and make your force close. You can't directly access the settings menu (so no wifi, data options, etc.). Should I try installing it from stock?

This thread is for sharing screenshots of your homescreen setups or other various customizations you've done to your Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4G.
Use the code below when making your post to keep this thread consistant and easy to follow. Include as many details as possible to ensure this thread isn't flooded with questions that could be easily answered before they're even asked.

Obviously, I am unable to moderate this thread, but I'd like it to remain as clean and concise as possible. With that in mind, please follow the thread etiquitte as described below.
Thread Etiquitte
If you use any resources posted by another member, do them a favour by clicking the thanks button on their post. Please refrain from thanking in subsequent posts; the button is sufficient. This is to prevent unneccessary clutter in the thread.
Please limit your posts to a maximum of three screenshots. I believe in the old saying, "less is more" so even just one screenshot is preferred. Up to three is fine primarily when showing how one compliments the other. Also, only provide a URL to your wallpapers rather than embed them in image tags. There's going to be a lot of images on each page as it is, so this is to reduce long loading times as much as it's to keep the thread looking cleaner.
Many people get annoyed when seeing the same image many times in the same thread, so if you're going to quote someone's post, please replace the image tags with URL tags. Once again, this will make the thread more enjoyable to view. By using URL tags, the images can still be viewed to give context to a reply, but without the added mess. Make sense?
Yes, it's difficult not having our own device forum, and for that reason, I've noticed off-topic discussion is a bit more relaxed in our various ROM threads because we simply have nowhere else to do it. Some level of discussion is okay here, but don't let it become too excessive. Please use PM's if carrying on a conversation one-on-one.
Contribute! The main goal of this thread is inspiration through contribution. What makes every community thrive is the sharing of useful information, ideas, and in our case, screenshots (along with details of how we acheived our customizations). By sharing your creativity, you will inspire others, and they will be able to share their remix of a combination of those ideas, layouts, widgets, etc. Essentially, that makes it an ongoing circle. The level of customization is only as limited as your imagination, and that's what makes Android so unique. So get creative and show us what you've got!

Android added native screenshot functionality in Ice Cream Sandwich, so anything 4.0+ is as easy as pressing Volume Down + Power for 2 seconds. Many ROMs also have a screenshot button in the power down menu. In any case, you can search the Google Play Store to find a suitable screenshot app if you have any issues. Note: most screenshot apps require root on any device running Gingerbread or older.
ONLY POST APPROPRIATE IMAGES! Nudity is not allowed on XDA. A better way to say it is to only post what you would actually consider putting on the wall of your home for all your friends and family to see. And if you're seriously considering putting Android screenshots on the walls of your home, you're obsessed. Seek medical attention immediately (but don't look at the walls of my house...just sayin')

Uploading images still works here, as chrisperrera just did. Maybe just uploading from the app is no longer supported? That would be strange, though. In any case, the OP has links to 5 image hosts plus a link to search Google for more. That hardly leaves an excuse for not finding a suitable place to share images other than pure laziness.
Here are some flashable boot animations I made, which I posted in the original themes/screenshots thread.

This might be off topic but if we can all send a "new device forum request for Samsung T679" to svetius, maybe we can make it happen. I have seen people at HTC One X try that and it worked. Good luck =)

OK so this how my device normally would look. Cobalt Themes are free on the Google Play Store and have most all app icons included and themed. Cobalt themes work with all Cm9 and Cm10 builds and there's one in every color you could want

I also moved to the latest CM10 as well. Going back to a full 240DPI phone UI makes everything seem so huge! We've got a new PA coming shortly though, so this won't last long

Hmmm? The Facebook page for illusion roms says Samsung devices tomorrow. I know it's not official I'm just excited to see where illusion goes. By the way just flashed. No problems yet. Keep up the good work

Edit: It would be great if you actually linked the download link to the post containing the rom rather than directly to your blog home page. Just a headsup
I don't see a DL for vibe in the link

This ROM is running solid! I haven't had much time to test but just scrolling through it is really smooth. Thanks for keeping the vibe alive.
Lies, spewed poetically from galaxy S3!
Any ways I can change the colour of halo circle? Looks like freaking rangoli
And I don't know if its a ROM specific thing but where do I control the animations? Not the launcher... Other ones. Its just random. If it can be set to a single one it would be great ( but that's a personal opinion )

Love you Rom but found a few things that will need fixing.
1. The battery icon does not show the charging icon on the status bar (that is when charging), though it can be seen in the tile.
2. Gallery does not show previous images already captured prior to flashing this new Rom.
3.stored ringtones and notification does not also show in sounds settings unlike the base Rom you used(slim beans).
Other than what stated above, loving the speed and looks.
Thanks.

Battery icon shows up for me. I tried out all of the battery icons just to make sure (I was using the stock android icon before though). They all show up as charging. Gallery images show up for me too; I took pictures with SuperNexus ROM and RemICS-JB ROM back who knows when and they all show up. Dunno about the last one, though that can be easily remedied. Just download File Manager by Rhythm Software and next time you select ringtones, it'll ask you to choose between that and the system ringtones. You can easily find all of your stored ringtones using that.
And yes, I agree, this ROM is really awesome. :good:
