When I tried people couldn't hear me..
http://www.droid-life.com/2011/04/15/nettalk-allows-for-outgoing-calls-on-motorola-xoom/

press the speaker spot on the dial pad and see it that works, if that doesnt see if the mute is not on. Also there is a list of routers that do not work well with this program, so if you have a wifi xoom then try a diff router signal

Wait so this will work on my wifi xoom? Just want to make sure

So what number does it call from? Do you have to go through a SIP or what?
Also, I wish bluetooth headsets worked with the XOOM. I hate speaker phone mode and I'm sure that's the only way this would work.

After trying several different alternatives this is the best so far. The quality is great on my side but there's some echo on the other side. I'll have to try it with some headphones to see if that makes a difference.
Thanks for sharing.

It should i did a couple of test calls using wifi and 3g and it worked great! I dont have a wifi model so i cant say for sure but the dev website says it will!

That sounds kind of shady. I think I'll steer clear of this one.

Interestingly (for me, at least), my Moto S9 BT headset actually works well with the Xoom. In fact, I had pretty much discarded it until I got the Xoom and tried it out. It skips/drops constantly with my Tmobile G2 and with a BT add-on for my ipods and it had the same problem with every Android phone I've tried it with, from the G1 to the MyTouch 3G. The S9 had already been replaced at least once if not twice to see if the skipping would go away but it did not. I'm saying I could not have the phone in my shirt pocket and phones on my ears without it constantly cutting out - really worthless until now.
Rob

works good and just so everyone knows the xooms mic is on the bottom of landscape orientation you have to talk near it to pick up your voice

Voice Changer

Anybody know if there's a program anywhere for pocket pc for voice changer?
You mean a program that will make you sound different over the phone?
Unfortunately, most WM based phones like the ones we deal with here can not do this because of hardware and OS limitation.
If you search the forum for posts regarding answering machine you will find more details on this issue.
actually, just a voice change program, not necessarily over the fone...one that u just record ur voice, and it changes the sound for u wen u replay it.
I was looking for that too.
Actually, for some app that would chance my voice during the calls.
But thinking about that, I don't know if it is possible...
Darth vader voice changer in your ppc that would be cool
china made n99i fake nokia and has it, but no one knows if there is one for ppc... strange...
cant you people just write her a sweet poem or send some flowers
rather then trying to scare her with wicket sounding stalker scary voices over the phone
even if it require 2 phones 1 to play the evil sinister sounding voice into the others mic

Motorola S305... anyone used these with the cdma Hero?

http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-S305-Bluetooth-Stereo-Headset/dp/B002BH3I9U
They look great with good reviews. Wondering if the bluetooth will work with our phone for listening to music/answering calls?
Use them at work. Best 20 bucks I spent on Ebay. Freaking awesome.
Comfortable? I see in your sig you're using cyanoganmod 6. I'm using the same rom. Does it work properly with it?
Do the controls work to change songs and does it pause the music when calls come in? I would be using these in the library at school primary with my laptop and phone.
Any cons?
Thanks!

It works just fine.. you can use speakerphone with just about any VOIP carrier. There's no earpiece so everything is on speakerphone. I don't care to spend any time enabling carrier calling.

That is a little pity..
In many countries, such as China, VOIP.Skype, is not very useful because the 3G signal instability.
Many people have said they would pay some money if 2G is working.so do I

T-mo Rooted Sound Mods?

So, I rooted my flex today, for 2 reasons, to run Titanium, and to install a sound mod.
I always used Viper on my previous Sammy phones, but it doesnt seem to do anything on the Flex.
Has anyone found a sound mod/app that really makes a big difference for the Flex?
thanks!

If you are good with root, Skvalex's Call Recorder is great. I've been using it for years, and just verified it works fine on the MXP for both sides of call (using phone mic, haven't tested headset or anything). Needs ALSA installed (has info in settings), and there is already a settings profile for the MXP in the app.

I am still waiting for the phone to arrive into the UK,
I will be willing to bet that the app will work however.
I will let you know when my phone turns up!
I use this one, does not require Root, you can set recorded messages to either SD or Memory card, change the format, etc. Really is a great app, just record everything.

Just for anyone still wondering,
I can confirm that Automatic call recorder does work perfectly fine on Moto x Style/Pure without issue.
I've used "Call Recorder" by skvalex for a couple of years. The full version is expensive but there is a free trial to check if it all works ok on your handset.
i use total recall
I've tried Automatic Call Recorder in the past, but haven't found a combination of settings that doesn't necessitate using the speakerphone to record both sides of a conversation. Do any of the options in this thread overcome this?
For me having bluetooth headset 2-way call recording is essential for my work. Previously I was using Boldbeast Call Recorder on my Samsung Galaxy s4 (i9500) rooted. It worked very well! I have just got a Moto X Style (XT1572) un-rooted. I am waiting for the devs to respond as to whether they support the phone yet. Does anyone know of any other apps that may support 2 way call recording over bluetooth headsets on this phone?

It appears some phones require root and others do not for Boldbeast Call Recorder to work. Does it require root for the MXPE? If not, is there any extra functionality with root?
