[MOD][CAM] Stock froyo LG Camera 1080p @ 30fps @ 17 mb bitrate @ 128kbp/44khz - LG Optimus 2x

Moved from thread to make it easier for me to keep tabs:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1055026
Working LG Camera mod Latest [Camera-1.1.3.4].
Recomended version for froyo:
Camera-1.1.3.4_44-96.zip
Video enhancements:
-1080p @ 30fps in all quality settings.
-No recording sound fix.
-Memory buffer increase for extra speed (no real impact)
-Audio bitrate increased from 64kbps to 128kbps for 720p, 96kbps for 1080p and sample rate increased from 22khz to 44khz for all bitrates - should fix crackling sound experienced by some.
-Increased (Variable) video quality for 1080p and 720p:
(Found under video quality in the menu for each resolution)
-1080P SUPER_FINE_ENCODER_BITRATE 9mb to 17mb
-1080P FINE_ENCODER_BITRATE 7mb to 14mb
-1080P NORMAL_ENCODER_BITRATE 5mb to 11mb
-720P SUPER_FINE_ENCODER_BITRATE 4mb to 13mb
-720P FINE_ENCODER_BITRATE 3mb to 11mb
-720P NORMAL_ENCODER_BITRATE 2mb to 9mb
-Increased video preview fps to 40fps to decrease screen tearing while recording.
Image enhancements:
-Attempt to increase image resolution for 8mp.
-Attempt at brightness fix.
-Increased quality setting file size (doubled).
GPS fix/tweak for Australian residence:
-GPS_FasterFix_Oceania.zip
To install:
No need to rename the zip, just copy to sdcard, boot to CMW, select "install zip from sdcard" then select "choose zip from sdcard" and flash.
or
Extract the camera.apk from the required zip file, copy to memory card and use root explorer to delete current camera.apk file then copy to system/app folder.
Possible future to do list:
-Enable Continuous Autofocus in video recording option.
-Enhance tweak for Photo quality higher bitrate.
-Tweak custom camera options to stick once restarted stored here:
/data/data/com.android.camera/shared_prefs/arc_camera_prefs.xml
-60fps mod (should be interesting, aim is for 720p).
-Custom requests.
-Add user configurable settings in menu.
-Transparent menu?
-Fix for bottom black bar covering setting menu image in video mode.
-Raw image file format.
-Option to pause video while recording, similar to Nokia N8 feature.
Note:
-Reports state working with 64mb mod kernels, use compatible version Camera-1.1.3.4_22-64.zip.
-Currently only working for froyo/stock/modaco roms.
-Use Camera-1.1.3.4_22-64.zip if any1 is having audio issues with new build, 22khz/64kbps.
-GPS_FasterFix_Oceania.zip flash in CWM.
-3 builds:
Camera-1.1.3.4_44-128.zip - @ 17mb + highest quality audio 44khz/128kbps, (some have experienced crackling in recordings tho not myself).
Camera-1.1.3.4_44-96.zip - @ 17mb + Normal quality audio 44khz/96kbps, best compromise between avg fps and sound quality.
Camera-1.1.3.4_22-64.zip - @ 17mb + default stock audio 22khz/64kbps for original LG build + my tweaks.
Give credit to whom ever mods this if using in roms etc, if you wish to make a mod or help mod feel free to drop me a line and i can assist you.

of coz this is good, but what is the disadvantages of this?

Not to much hopefully, definately a reduced memory card capacity tho as files are BIG.
Still working out the best bitrate to use for video recording, I think 720p could be reduced by half 8mb as it makes almost zero difference to quality imho, what do you think?

somemadcaaant, could you inrease audio bitrate as well for better quality?

Oh my, you actually did it . Awesome work.
Only problem is that now I have to flash away from cm7 to check it out .
I'm pleasantly surprised the hardware is actually capable of it.

didnt work at cm, get fc

but... where's the download link?

[MOD] Better camera mod for TB Fusion, Kingdom port and RCMixHD V6xxx

After the N1 and Arc mods for better camera, here's my first release for DHD under the RCMixHD rom, tried it with V6.1.0.0
Mainly it's just a tweaked camera jpeg compression and buffer memory not a difficult work
Advantages:
Lowering jpeg compression means larger sized photos reaching up to 3.5mb each bringing up more details and less noises!
Be aware:
There is probably no difference when shooting in dark conditions, the size of the photos are the same BUT when shooting in daylight the difference is huge!
Install:
1 -You need root
2 -For Kingdom and RCMix roms: Download the file media_profiles.zip and rename zip to xml
For TB Fusion roms: Download the file media_profiles.cab and rename cab to xml
3 -You can use Rootexplorer to copy paste the file into /system/etc or push it via ADB:
-adb devices
-adb remount
-adb push media_profiles.xml system/etc
-adb reboot
4 -REBOOT
how about some screenshots? if the app is the same would love some sample before/after pictures..
and what about other roms?
maybe changing the values in another ginger rom(media_profile) the result is the same , no?????
it is for gingerbread base rom 2.36.405.8 , put it in system/etc
rename .txt in .xml
I has found it long time ago!! Thanks! it's so great!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway to increase camcorder bitrate? I've tried in media_profiles but with no luck..,.
There are numerous video profiles in this xml, perhaps we should tweak them all!
There are minimum and max in each like for jpeg,so if you don't have a ''rich'' scene to record (good light and lot of colors) the video bitrate will not use the max settings
tested and aprouved on Coredroid ROM v6

But after I changed minimum value, bitrate shouldn't drop below this. It stays at ~10mbits. I'm pretty sure that video recording bitrate can be only tweaked in kernel.

[MOD] Stock camera mod LG GB V20e/i/j/l: No shutter sounds & improved Pic/Vid quality

[MOD] Stock camera mod LG GB V20e/i/j/l: No shutter sounds & improved Pic/Vid quality
Hi folks,
I modded the stock LG Camera-app and implemented new features.
Every improvement (except 16:[email protected]) is working seamlessly with this mod. Please find the list of improvements below.
I also included the "media_profiles.xml" in the package.
V1.0 is based on V20e and can be used up to V20e.
V2.x is based on V20l and can be used from V20i onwards.
Please find the modded camera apps attached to this post. Enjoy!
Installation Instructions:
Flash the attached zip with CWM ("install zip from sd-card" --> "choose zip from sd-card").
I modded the following (in every version of the mod):
Disabled shutter & AF sounds (picture & video) - timer sounds are still enabled (on purpose --> no change!)
Increased preview fps to 40 (--> reduced page tearing)
Picture quality:
Set normal picture quality to 80 (= 20% compression)
Set fine picture quality to 90 (= 10% compression)
Set superfine picture quality to 100 (= 0% compression)
Video quality 1080p:
Set FPS from 24 to 30 (varies a little, similar to stock LG app)
Set normal video quality from 5Mbps to 7Mbps (= fine in stock LG app)
Set fine video quality from 7Mbps to 12Mbps
Set superfine video quality from 9Mbps to 17Mbps
Video quality 720p:
Set normal video quality from 2Mbps to 4Mbps (= superfine in stock LG app)
Set fine video quality from 3Mbps to 9Mbps
Set superfine video quality from 4Mbps to 14Mbps
Additional changes in the V2.x (V20l) mod are the following:
Changed 5MP picture resolution to 6MP 16:9 (3264 x 1840) - Implemented additional preview setting logic; AR not correct yet! trying to fix it.
Increased video bit rate for VGA (improves esp. quality of videos recorded by the front cam):
- Superfine from 1.5 Mbps to 5 Mbps
- Fine from 1.2 Mbps to 3 Mbps
- Normal from 768 kbps to 1.5 Mbps
Persistent flash mode setting (i.e. last flash mode is being saved; default mode is off)
DCF compliance (adopted DCF requirements like directory- and filenames)
Storage path changed to "DCIM/CAMERA/" (DCF compliant)
Removed closing/ not starting on low battery (still shows a toast to remind you on your low charge though)
Shutter-sound menu adjusted/ fixed (only option now: "Off")
Several changes in German translations
Modded further resources
Additional changes in V2.1:
Increased video bit rate for 1080p:
- Superfine: 20Mbps
- Fine: 17Mbps
- Normal: 12Mbps
Increased audio bit rate to 128kbps for 1080p and 720p
Increased audio sampling rate to 44.1kHz for 1080p and 720p
Persistent focus mode setting (focus mode is being saved)
Persistent GPS setting (GPS mode is being saved)
Music keeps on playing (removed auto-pause music on app start)
Implemented ODEX fix for odexed roms (Camera.odex is being deleted automatically)
Fixed DCF compliance for video filenames (missing underscore)
ToDo:
Fix AR for 16:9 @ 6MP
Adjust preview size for 16:9 pictures
Optimize code for better performance
The rest is still stock.
PS:
1. If you have a darker icon for your camera app, then update script worked like it should!
2. If this is useful for you, hit the "Thanks" button on the lower right!
3. If you cook this mod in your rom, please give proper reference to this thread in the list of included features and in your change log!
yeaaaaaaaaaaah, thank you very much
Froyo compatible?
Installed it succesfully on 20e, but i can not see any difference in quality. Blown up the fotos taken before and after the mod, but no difference at all.
What should be the improvement, i ask myself.
Main differences are on video mode. Original LG couldn't take very high quality/bitrates video in high resolutions...
Very nice thing to have this plus stock features as panoramic images for example (not present in CM 7).
Great and fast job!!!

If you compare just few pics, you probably won't see a difference. But technically speaking there is quite a difference (jpeg compression i.e. picture quality was changed from 90 to 100 in superfine setting - if you're familiar with image editing of any sort, you know what I'm talking about). You can use fine/ normal quality to limit file sizes though.
Additionally picture quality is just one (small) part, video quality (incl. fps) and removed shutter & auto-focus sounds the other

I'll try that in the next few days, but I think it won't work due to limitation in the kernel (max fps=30, otherwise reverting to standard fps).

Let me see what I can do. Constant AF is not a target for me though, as the only effect would be AF-pumping (AF constantly analyzing the whole focus range to get the sharpest picture).
Possible future to do list:
-Option to pause video while recording, similar to Nokia N8 feature.
-Enhance tweak for Photo quality higher bitrate.
Is possible? Tks

And it could be very useful an option to take 16:9 pictures.
Nice work guys!
Further Development
Picture quality (in terms of compression) is maxed already.
Pause mode is not possible, because it is not implemented in the API (only start & stop are).
Same goes for a non-pumping AF during video recording (not supported by API).
But I have 16:9 format for pictures and a 60 FPS mode for 720p on my list
Let's see when I can find some time to play with it...I'll keep you updated.
question...will this mod work if i'm using a CM7 or should i use this with a stock rom ?

Thanks! Working perfectly with the 20E version!
is it ok with v20c leak GB ? because i used Flair GB v3 rom atm..
update: tested already.. it's fine.. looks better for video as not lagging as before..
720p60 would be good, but 1080p24 would be very welcome too. And, I guess, easier to make
Thanks for this great Mod
The 16:9 will be amazing feature as it is a lot better to watch pics in 16:9 dipslay, which became a standard
The 720p at 60 fps will give some nice effects

(Fully working) V5 (20120918) Camera Mod - for better pictures and low light videos

Updated to version V5
Changes:
Photos: No over exposure. (0 ev)
Videos: As always videos look good in low light (more or less equal to the brightness you have when taking photos)
Install instructions same as below.
Links:
ADB: http://www.mediafire.com/?z0idch09sgl5r20
CWM: http://www.mediafire.com/?spiv8o9lav017t8
I see more than 60 downloads of v4 but surprisingly no feedback/report from anyone whether you see any difference with this mod. I ll not be able to improve this any further without feedback guys.
--
Please find the updated version V4.
I had to change lot of variables and also had to mod cameraapp to get this working. I used somboons camera apk and his script so you ll have sound off mod in this one. Thanks to somboons.
Also thanks to Somboons for creating automation scripts for us.
Prerequisites
Deodexed rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1871858
Firmware v10F
Changes you should notice:
Improvement in video brightness in low lights
Reduced over exposure (only +0.1ev)
Improvement in video quality when making video calls like over Skype/Gtalk
I am also trying to improve sharpness by changing the metering mode and increasing the meter spot size (feedback is important)
Reduced saturation (it helps improving video quality in low lights)
INSTALLATION
Method 1:
Flash via CWM.
1. Download CWM_Install_Camera_mod_V4.zip
2. Flash it via recovery
Method2:
1. Download the adb_camera_mod_vV4.rar file
2. Extract it
3.run the script
4. let it reboot
5. It also makes backup of the original files so, if you dont like it you can always revert (backup will be at external_sd/backupcamera).
These methods are tested and confirmed working.
Do let me know your feedback.
I really really spent lot of hours understanding and modifying these files. So i dont mind small donation to motivate me to work more on such mods. Thanks.

I tested this on 10F Swedish rooted phone and confirm that it is working well. Should work on 10D and may be previous versions as well. But i cannot guarantee.
(this is my first ever mod I made it by myself and post it in XDA. So dont flame me if anything is not right, thou I am happy to take your suggestions and improve further).

Hi friends,
Finally after 3 days of continuous work (spent at least 20-30 hours on this project) I managed to make a breakthrough in this brightness issue when shooting in semi lit conditions. As mentioned earlier, problem is not with the camera app but with the drivers itself. For some reason LG chose not to support higher ISO or proper adjustment of exposure/brightness/contrast for low light settings (it was the same case on LG optimus 2x as well).
Attached is the modifed camera.tegra.so (camera driver for our LG 4X). You need to copy it to /system/lib/hw using Root Explorer or similar application and set permissions. When possible I ll make flashable zip or some other automated way for everyone and also comparison videos. If anyone can help me with that i'd really appreciate it.
Benefits of this new driver:
1. Improved image quality. You ll see size of the photos will be about 2.5mb (instead of 1mb). You ll also notice ISO values in low light photos hitting around ISO2500 (even i didnt know that this camera can support such high ISO).
2. Improved visibility in the video recording in low light conditions.
3. Improved bit rate in video recording upto 25mbit/s.
4. Constant 25-30FPS in video recording.
Drawbacks:
For video recording I increased the brightness level twice as much. So dont use highest brightness when taking videos in dark. If you do so you ll see very high noise.
Comparision videos in both indoor and outdoor:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/20rxmifrqzxjgby/dzY4BZuN6E (obviously difference is obvious in indoor than outdoor).
Installation:
1. Download and extract LG4x_working_camera_driver_20120830.rar
2. Using Root Explorer, go to /system/lib/hw and backup existing camera.tegra.so to camera.tegra.so.bak
3. Copy camera.tegra.so to /system/lib/hw
4. Set rw-r--r- permissions
Reboot.
When you open native camera app you should see the improvements.
Let me know in case you have any questions.
Change log:
V3 : 20120901
a. Reverted to automatic saturation as pictures look better with unmodified one
b. Reduced exposure to +0.3ev so that picutres dont look over exposed yet we ll see some improvement in videos. Should you need higher brightness in videos please use +/- correction. (hard to please all, right?)
c. Reworked on sharpness. Pictures/Videos look much sharper now.
V2 (enhancements): 20120830
a. Optimised saturation. Pictures in bright light looks colorful and in low light reduced noise
b. Reduced over exposure on pictures taken in bright sunlight
c. Improved sharpness of the pictures by edge enhancement (read here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edge_enhancement)
V2 (no enhancements):
No saturation or sharpness enhancements but just reduced over exposure.
Also uploaded original file in case you forget backing up
As always you are responsible for the changes you make on your device. I dont want you to complain about phone transforming into aliens or turning to paper weights if you use my mods. I am happy to help if I can.
Hope you enjoy my mods. Looking forward for your feedback.
PS: One should not experience any bootloops or any major issues with this mod. So dont be worried

In this thread I am seeking help to make LG 4X camera better. If you dont know what you are doing then thread is not for you, move on!!!
As I am really frustrated with the dark videos in a semi lit room and as there no other camera apps available to help get better videos I decided to mod the camera myself. I reached a point where I need help from experts here at XDA
Camera dark light problem video samples: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/r0xdgyo34oyhlq0/pPF8M8VNcj
To make it clear, problem lies with camera driver not the camera app (and thats the reason why other apps arent of much help). Camera driver is /system/lib/hw/tegra.camera.so
I took drivers from OneX and Asus Transformer Prime as an example (btw Asus prime takes amazing photos/videos even in low light) and modded the driver. Problem lies with ISO settings. Our dear LG 4X doesnt use ISO settings for video recording and seems it cannot change FPS on the fly when it is low light (still tries to record at 30 fps). High ISO and high fps causes dark videos. Read here: http://www.izzyvideo.com/low-light-video/
Now I managed to eliminate dark videos in low light successfully but
1. while taking video view finder is tilted by 90 degrees regardless of what direction you hold it. (see attachment camera.tegra_titled.rar)
or
2. It takes only photos but no videos. (see attachment camera.tegra_partlyWorking.rar)
You ll need HexEdit (http://www.hexedit.com/) to mod these files.
Just extract either of the two attachments and copy the tegra.camera.so file to /system/lib/hw and set permissions. Just backup old one before you do this thou. To save the noobs from flashing this file I put it in rar but not zip.
If anyone wants to know what changes i made, how I made please PM or write below and I can explain. Hoping for helping hands here to solve camera issue

thanks for the feedback. can you confirm if you are using V2 mod as I fixed it. Also it depends on where you focus as well, can you try focusing the same photo indifferent locations and see if the over exposure still exists?

Iam trying V2Enhancements.zip and sotck camera.tegra.so V10F firmware. Today had a lot of tests with the standard and your driver. When shooting, I did not use the touch focus, the camera will chose the exposure.
Empirically found that your driver all pictures differ by about +0.5 +0.7 EV, that is, they are brighter in any light.
Just seemed to me that the video was a little antsy (laggy) in 1080, maybe it isch due to increased bit rate, but I have not yet fully tested. And it is strange that one minute of recording goes about the same size in megabytes on your and the usual driver.
Sorry for google-english.

I have testing this version and found why photos is overexposed. See screenshot. Modded version add +0.4EV in each shot.
I also checked the video. In low light the video was better. Bitrate instead 7mbit was 10 megabits. However, all the videos began to appear a significant head (lag) when the camera is moving. Perhaps this is due to increasing the bitrate. For video, I use the internal memory and not the memory card.

Thanks. But i couldnt find a way to increase only video brightness without affecting exposure on image. I use Samsung 32gb class 10 microsd card and probably thats why I havent noticed any difference. I ll check again and come back. But in general night mode records slow videos than in broad day light
Btw where it the screenshot?

[APP][CM11][DEPRECATED][V22]CameraNext Modded

New CM12 based mod here
This app will no longer be updated. V22 is the final version.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...eranextmod-t3086513/post60202401#post60202401
Modded Camera
There is no need to do anything with your original camera. This installs as a separate app.
This is my modded version of the CM CameraNext app. I decided to share this because I have seen many people want to use the Color OS camera because of its low light performance. So far, I have implemented the 16 and 32 second shutter delay and I might add more later on.
Requirements
Root if you want a higher bitrate for videos and the fix for auto-focus "Click" sounds (Flash the zip file)
Changelog
V1
16 second shutter added
32 second shutter added
V2
disable extra shutter button
V3
Rename app to "CameraNextMod"
Set "Slow Shutter" to the default scene mod on app open
1/4 second slow shutter (User request)
24 second slow shutter (Good balance between 16 and 32)
30 Burst Shots
50 Burst Shots
XML code cleanup
CM12 Panorama fixed with lib file
CM11 and CM11s Flashable zip
CM12 Flashable zip
V4
BIG Thanks to @nicholaschum for this version
Rename package
Eliminate need for root
New Icon
Flashable zips will now only work on their corresponding android versions
V5
Add "Experimental" section under settings
*ROOT* Double bitrate for 720p and 1080p (Flash the zip to enable)
V6
Rename camera from v5 to v6 to keep all the file names the same. No actual change in app versions.
*ROOT* Fix Slowmo video quailty (Flash the zip to enable)
*ROOT* Max bitrate for 720p and 1080p with fixed slowmo (Flash the zip to enable)
*ROOT* Modify mixer_paths.xml file to fix the autofocus clicking sound (Flash the zip to enable)
*ROOT* Disable Camera sounds Instructions
V10
Rebased on the YU CameraNext app
Change version to 005
Zero Shutter lag
New ViewFinder
Video HDR
Digital Image Stabilization
All features from prevoius versions
Couple of things to note before installing V11
Uninstall V10 manually
Smart Scene was removed from the new app but I added a toggle under Experimental called "Best Shot""
When "Best Shot" is enabled, you wont be able to switch scenes
If you have video artifacts, then try disabling video HDR and Video Stabilization
V11
addon.d script thanks to @kantjer (All camera mods will survive nightly flashes) (Need to flash zip)
Best Shot toggle
Second shutter option replaced with a blank
Version Number is on the last page in settings so its easily identifiable
CM12 users use "4k UHD (CM12)" option to record in 4k UHD
Notes for V15
If you are missing options, make sure you are on V15 by going into the camera settings and then swipe to the "General" page
If you have problems, clear the data
Shutter speeds lower than 1/30 REQUIRE FULL DAYLIGHT. It is used for capturing very quick shots
V15
Based on 05Q firmware
New installer for zip files
ISO - auto(HJR) is defualt now
1/5000,1/2500,1/1000,1/500,1/250,1/125,1/60 shutter speeds
Smart Scene is back
HDR Force closes are fixed
Video Focus Mode added
First off, sorry guys for taking so long with this version. I was tinkering with the Color OS cam for a bit
V16 Notes
I optimized the settings for point and shoot
To get my settings: reset the app, set quality to 95, Sharpness=6, Contrast=4, Saturation=6
V16
1/60, 1/125, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000, 1/2500, 1/5000 shutter modes for quick shots (needs daylight and Auto ISO)(See image below)
ISO_HJR is default ISO mode
Video Focus Mode
Fix HDR
Reenable ZSL toggle
Renable Face Detection toggle
Fix RAW derp from last version
V16A - Tiny update, only cosmetic changes
Rename "Slow Shutter" to "Variable Shutter"
I did this to accurately represent the shutter modes available from 1/5000 (very fast) to 64 seconds (Very Slow)
Bring back "4k UHD (CM12)"
V20
Focus ring is now smaller and thinner (User request)
Burst Mode Icons added
Burst Mode added to quickbar
ISO added to quickbar
Second Pie menu includes Sharpness, contrast, and saturation
1/4, 1/8, 1/16 Variable Shutter
Variable Shutter menu Bug fixed! The options dont reset to auto now!
Mix and Matching is now possible
Notes for V20
Variable Shutter can now be used on ALL scenes
Burst mode is enabled for ALL scenes
Moved autofocus click noise to a separate zip because it forces mono sound to fix it
To reenable ZSL make sure Variable Shutter is set to off
For EX: I can set aqua scene, set the variable shutter to 1 sec and turn burst to 5. It will shoot 5 aqua sslow shutter images in a row without touching it
EX 2: Turn burst to 5 and use HDR. Now it will take 5 HDR pics without you touching it!
Once again, Thank @infinityplus!
V21
Added more icons for Saturation, Contrast, and Sharpness
Change Second pie menu icon @infinityplus
moved and redid ISO icons
Focus mode added to the second menu
V22
Remove Focus mode
Fix force close
Notes for Color OS Camera VS CameraNext
Color OS Denoise default is off <> CameraNext Denoise default is on
This is why the CameraNext pictures are smaller. Denoise compresses them, thus the smaller file size. I would recommend turning this off for day shots. On night shots, I highly recommend turning it on, otherwise the pictures will look like garbage with scattered RGB artifacts. This is why Color OS cam provides slightly better detail in night shots
Color OS Contrast and Saturation Values are 5 <> CameraNextMod default is 4 and 6 respectively
Color OS cam has three modes (low, mid, and high). The numeric values are 0,5, and 10. CameraNextMod values ranges from 0-10. I tried to tune it for color accuracy, Your results may vary.
Color OS Auto Exposure is set to Center-Weighted <> CameraNextMod Auto Exposure is set to Frame-average
Color OS Cam by @BOOTMGR here
Color OS Cam mod port by @infinityplus here
Bugs
Shutter option shows up twice but one is disabled
Shutter option will reset to auto if you open and close the settings
All previous Stock CameraNext Bugs
To use it, you must change the scene mode to "slow shutter" and then select the speed. If you don't have this scene available, then your camera does not support it and won't work.
WARNING
THE ZIP FILES ARE ONLY FOR THE ONEPLUS ONE DEVICE. The CM12 zip WILL CAUSE A BOOTLOOP if flashed on CM11 or CM11s due to the panorama fix and vice versa. IF STUCK IN A BOOTLOOP, FLASH THE CORRECT VERSION FOR YOUR DEVICE OR DIRTY FLASH YOUR ROM. DO NOT FLASH THE WRONG ZIP. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU DO NOT READ OR MESS UP YOUR PHONE.
NOTES
Starting from V6 onward, if you're running a modified version of the mixer_paths.xml file, you'll have to remodify it. If you are using one of my audio mods, I'll update them to into the camera fix. Just flash the new file and you're good to go.

Things I can do
Remove scenes
Rearrange settings
Unlock hidden options
Things I can't do
Modify the ViewFinder
Change the framerate for 1080p to use 60
make the an option for 240 fps
To remove camera sounds
go into /system/media/audio/ui
delete camera_click.ogg
delete camera_focus.ogg
delete VideoRecord.ogg
To remove the mod completely
To completely uninstall the zip file, you have to delete 90-CamSettings from
/system/addon.d/
Then you have to uninstall the app by using titanium backup or deleting CameraNextMod.apk from /system/app
Finally to get rid of the autofocus click fix and increased bitrate, just dirty flash your ROM.

Thanks for improving my preferred camera app.
Do you think is feasible to have a better noise suppression algorithm? That is the biggest difference I noticed when tried Color OS camera app.
Looks amazing! Thanks for the effort! Would it be possible to change the aspect ratio of the viewfinder? Currently it is a little zoomed in so the actual captured image is actually wider than what is being shown on the viewfinder
What an idea ! Well done :highfive:
How did you manage to take such a clear picture with this speed of shutter ? You have a tripod or something ?

I am not sure if I'll be able to do that because this only required a simple edit in the XML files but I'll look into it.

Nice work.Thank you for the mod and hope to see more updates.
I clear data on the original camera next install, uninstalled and then installed your modded version but I still have a Max of 8 seconds on show slow shutter settings. Any ideas how to fix?
Edit: Nevermind, checked again and I now have two separate options for slow shutter speed, one with a Max of 8 the other with a Max of 32,i guess the first is ignored?

Okay thanks to confirm! The panorama mode from camera next is not so good as the one from the Google camera, so it's not a big thing...

Curiously what stereo mod do you have?

MOD[Camera] Less Aggressive Sharpening | Noise Reduction

I've modified the calibration on the g5+ I've reduced noise reduction strength by using the calibration from the Google pixel also disabled luminance noise reduction left only color so image maybe a lil grainy.
In the chromatix libs I've disabled
Adaptive Bayer Filter - Blurs the image
ASF 5*5 7*7 9*9 - Sharpness the image
Chroma Suppression
CAC
To copy libs use Solid Explorer to copy the libchromatix to /system/vendor/lib/
The libmm lib also goes in the same vendor lib folder
Use Case Test it in low light it Bins the sensor in sum mode to collect more light by merging pixel charges but because binned the image res is reduced to to 2016 x 1512
I would backup your stock files before copying new ones happy testing

Made a few scripts to inject these files without rebooting.
I don't know why but it returns a lot of errors messages but it works nonetheless
I have added shortcuts of these scripts using FX file manager. So I can enable and disable these mods from a tap.
You think this could be done even on other devices?

Should work in any ROM as there is nothing special done that would require a specific ROM. In fact you could duplicate these changes on another device with same chromatix version ie op3t pixel mi5 v20 mi5s etc
