I wanted to make someting nicer than Galaxy Tab's original phone, so I'm
working on both "Phone.apk" and "Contacts.apk".
There are some problems that I hope someone could help.
As you can see in the pic 02, "Logs" page's font are white and when I press
one of them they become orange, so far there is no problem, but when I press
the other one the last one become black, I don't know why.
In the "Contacts" Page, pic 03, fonts are still black and I don't know what value
should I change anymore , because I tried evrything.
Does anyone can help to make this complete?

Nice work! First off. The colors for text aren't always only in the xml's.. you'll want to search the smali files as well.

If it's one of the smali files, I don't know how to edit them.
It would be great if you could have a look.

i think in this case if u tried to change every text color and wont to change ! you have to add it by yourself , with hex editor

Unfortunately I don't know how to use hex editor, but I'm trying to learn.

EDIT : am using CM7 now on my tab , and i don't have to be a wake all the night to play with the framework or systemUI . i just install theme from the market and everything will change .. like ur phone.apk , i just had it now ... after i install the theme , CM7 is freaking awesome

Thanks man. Now I khnow how to edit smali files, but the onley problem is
I don't know which file should I edit.
But before that I'm trying to find another backgroud, a brighter background.
because this way there is no need to chnage the colors.

most of ppl here like this background ..
am going to sleep now , after i woke up , i will look up for it , i'll try to play with the stock phone.apk ..
u just now try by what i give you and look inside the phone.apk for all the XML ..
and when i woke up , i'll see your update if u found it , then congrats if u didn't i'll look for it , but i can't promise u i'll 100% do it

I'm a little busy right now but I'll look for the right xml.
I like this background, too. I really don't want to change it,
but if can't change those colors I'll have to.
Anyway, thank you for helping me.

For Best look > you can set all the text UI to white ... this is done @ settings / CyanogenMod settings / User interface

Had a "bug" with handcent , where only white text when composing SMS , re-installed the app , and go to go ...
Everything seems to work fine ...
Sweet theme but when I receive a new email in gmail its all black. Also when in google voice white font is no good, can't see any of my text msgs. Also when receiving a call I don't have the option to answer it. Am I doing something wrong?
Other than that I think the theme is awesome!

I think is the framework-res.apk of the theme ...
Dunno how to solve that .. maybe ask or PM the theme creator ...
ps . I dont use native gmail , neither gtalk , I use the email client , so didn't notice that behaviour ...
i dont see the use in this theme for CM6 froyo because you can already customize the UI colors in the settings and as for the custom icons they suck and are really limited so this is a big waste of ram
P.S i am in no way offending the creator of this theme, i respect his work and hiss efforts

I would love if this theme would work on my Aria with CM6. I'm gonna attempt to contact the creator to see if he is willing to work on it. If anyone is willing to show me how I could maybe create or get my "colors" like this theme I'd be most grateful.

When I receive phone calls I'm missing the answer button. Are you able to answer calls? I posted this issue on the main forum.

I Put together this small application last night.
Pretty Simple, but it does the job well
Use it to convert Images from HDPI themes (nexus one, galaxy s, droid, etc.) To MDPI to use on your phone (Magic, G1 and other smaller devices)
Just select a bunch of image files (using shift) and press OK. This will decrease the selected images by 75%, suitable for an MDPI resolution screen.
Works on Snow Leopard. Not to sure about older operating systems
Could throw another one together to convert MDPI to HDPI on request.

Someone had asked in my thread regarding this. I found that 66% was adequate for mdpi as it brings it as close to its original resolution. The .9png's have to be excluded however when resizing. Even then, the end result isnt what i would call perfect but its a start.

Actually, when I press it, it closes the whole thing.?
Sorry about that, it does it in the background once you confirm. Don't know how to make it show the progress. It takes about One minute to do 700 images on my computer.

And how does this effect the .9.png files that when edited you lose the guides and thus messing up your theme? I had noticed that if you so much as open some of them up and make any changes at all it will mess everything up.

Hi everyone. Can anyone point me in the right direction to change the text highlight color in Sense? I already tried to change the highlight value in framework-res.apk/res/values/styles.xml but that's not working on Fresh ROM 3.4.0.1. I'm starting to think the hex color code to change is somewhere in com.htc.resources.apk or HTC_IME.apk but I've been searching for a day and have gone through tons of code and nothing's sticking out. I've attached a screenshot that shows what exactly I'm talking about.

Thanks. Unfortunately, that doesn't apply to Sense I already followed those steps for the CM themes I've asked gIMpSTa to give me a hand on this one. He too thinks it's in smali code as well.

Theres a Con though- So far i did all the decompiling and xml edits on my own
BUT i hit a rock wall.
I cant seem to find the right xml/smali to edit the colors of the email texts from black to white. I know so simple yet so important. Ive upleaded the file in an effort to get some professional help here.

U shoud use the apk manager ....to uncompil the phone apk....then change the png images and the last to compile again the phone apk.

If you want to change some grafics in the "phone.apk" then you also have to modify the "contacts.apk".

I've tried and found the right places to mod, it is easy, but could decompile the phone.apk correctly on windows...(errors). I was too lazy to install linux... also AngelofMors has modified phone and contacts apk till version 20l... on 4pda.ru
I use them, sync up high res 400*400 pics from social sites and have superb in call screen photos for my friends...
