Hi,
my question is simple. I would like to know what the best possible ROM is for this device where the camera is working. I guess this limits me to Honeycomb ROMs, which is fine. As long as it makes my device run super smooth.
Btw, since Honeycomb's source code was not released until recently, are there any Honeycomb ROMs at all?
Best is a matter of overall opinion of stock vs customization.
There are f ROM options, more stock but still.

It hasnt seen much development lately but it is a very solid ROM and has a working camera with overclocking capaility
would also go with overcome if you need the camera.
but once one of the ics roms gets the camera i would totally jump onboard if i were you. im using ics now (because i can live without the cam) and its much better than HC

currently. there is no ICS with camera working. all HC are woring with camera. there is no samsung camera driver for ICS
I just flashed AOSP roms and there are lot of noises when using the front cam?
Is that normal? Is there any 3rd party app for front facing camera?

Well i used an AOSP rom and i am using pac rom right now and the noise happened to me too. I just thought thats the way it is with these roms cause even the back camera has some issues. Go into settings on front camera and turn on HDR it will help, kinda destroys colours but there is no noise once you take the photo.

thanks. it helped me,, but yeha the colors isn't great.. just like purple tint on HTC One M7.. by the way, what rom are you using now?

Sorry i am answering so late, i was so busy with my z1 and some stuff in real world. Yea colours are bad but thats the best, currently i am using ihackers 4.1 and doomkernel and the camera is better,front one is super nice, starts up just fine, no lags, like stock but improved. I used AOSB project before ihackers and this one is better, i just lost a few features like active display but thats fine. Liking it so far! Give it a try if you are on UB. If you need any help flashing just send me a PM and i will help you!

Did you tried the iHackers kernel?
Well yes i have, but still what i want to say is that for me, camera on pacman and other aosp roms is not so good, front one is super bad and super noisy why on ihacker rom and his kernel and on doomkernel camera works fine, i guess just stock sony app makes much more less noisy front camera photos. My english is not so good and i am sorry for it.
I was on PAC rom and also had super noise front cam. Now I tried iHackers rom (4.1), but front camera was still as noisy as on PAC rom. Do I have to do something special for the camera quality to improve?

Let me consider ihacker's rom.. I want AOSP like slim and PA but I need a good front camera then time comes that camera is good at AOSP rom, I will go back to AOSP rom...

on stock based rom, the noise is not bad as from AOSP. promise. You may try to check it once again

i think it was the rom since i tried to use a different app for front cam is stock based rom and it was still better than AOSP roms.. :/
i just bought an xperia sp and i think the lights are so pretty so i was just wondering if they work properly on the aosp based roms because i wanted to flash a kitkat based rom. but not at the expense of my pretty lights. so, does it work? or is there a way to get it to work in case it doesn't?

I haven't tested all the custom roms available for SP, but at the moment, the three leds dont work properly. Only the middle one is working (but it works pretty well). But actually, it isn't a big problem, as the led is still pretty visible, even in direct sunlight. Do not deprive yourself of a kitkat custom rom, unless you really need the three leds.
There are two applications to tweak with lights up n xsp in custom rom.

Hey guys! I'd like to know what's the best and most stable custom rom available for Sony XPeria Z1.
I first went to cyanogenmod and now it's the newer and, so i hoped, better LineageOS but... the camera constantly crashs the sound output is beyond bad... that's not really nice.
Also i try to be aware of the addition "unofficial". so i'm asking you guys: What custom rom is best for my phone?

as i expemod (i think 12.rienced by myself lineage pretty much kills my phone... extremely slow, audio problems, camera problems, explorer problems, no update functionality, sound extremely quite when calling s.o. etc..., cyanogenmod (i think 12.1) was pretty stable... how is this rom compared to it?

1) what camera app is good? It is possible to make HDR 10 videos? Like stock camera
2) what gallery app is good?
1) I do not have experience with this phone, but I know that as long as your phone doesn't do most of the photo rendering with the software, any camera app, including stock, works just as well
2) any gallery app should work well, that is ,unless you want some specific special feature.
I am on mi 11 lite 4g, currently using vanilla build of nusantara project and loving it so fqr

This is no answer. I wrote two questions
There is no good gcam, at best it will be just ok for photo, but for video it will be awful. That's why i went back to MIUI even if i hate it and battery life is worse.
Trust me, do not waste your time flashing rom custom if you want good camera.

There is a bunch of ROMs out here for this device, just try them all and see what fits best for you,
Also, AnxCamera is here but in BETA state. And any gallery app is good, you can even re-install the one from MIUI
