How to get a sick quadrant score! - LG Optimus Black

Hi, I made a little tutorial of how you can get a sick score with your Optimus Black
And this should work with every device.
PS. You need to have Quadrant Advanced/Standard, there is different commands for each.
PS. 2 This is only temporary, so after you reboot you have to do this again if you want.
1. Root your phone.
2. Get Terminal Emulator from the market.
3. Write the following in Terminal Emulator:
su
mount -t tmpfs tmpfs /data/data/com.aurorasoftworks.quadrant.ui.advanced
4. Try quadrant!
For Standard, same for Advanced, just enter this instead:
su
mount -t tmpfs tmpfs /data/data/com.aurorasoftworks.quadrant.ui.standard
I have installed the Nova ROM so mine gets a little bit higher, you can find it in the dev. section.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}

first of all, the command is the same for quadrant advance and standard, second of all when i write this one it says no such file or directories ...... and yes I have quadrant.

did you write "su" first? ohh, I'm sorry lol.. my fault, I'm a bit noob so please excuse that.

i sure did write su but when I open data folder with file explorer the directory is empty so....

I don't even find any data folder lol. Try again, if you have the standard edition I updated the command

i had already tried both versions of command since I figured it out that for standard it ends with .standard...same thing no such file or directory

this should work now...

Anyone else having issues with this?

it's working great with my OB.
any chance to have it permanent (e.g. fire on launch?!!).
thanks
edit:
scored 2442
am using ver. V11b

Clear Lockscreen

I need somebody with the knowhow to do me a favour!
I'm running the new MoDaCo rom for Hero, and I really don't like the standart HTC lockscreen, but I do adore this one.

Can some body PLEAZ make me a .zip for updating my rom?
You can remove "HTC Lockscreen" via adb commands,then you got
Lockscreen similar to this!
Also there are apps at market which can change Lockscreen to this!
Code:
adb remount
adb shell rm /system/app/HtcLockScreen.apk
adb shell reboot or adb reboot
hmm.. app not found?
Nobody..???
Plesse help needed here!
When I adb this :
adb remount
adb shell
cd /system/app
mv HtcLockScreen.apk HtcLockScreen.bak
exit
it says "cant remove, file is read only"
If your on the new rom, the default lockscreen (vanilla one that you want) is broken anyway. I doubt Modaco has fixed it (with all due respect to him).
VillainRom 10.3 however will defiantly have this fixed.

3. wrap it all up and flash it to mtd2
Attached:
1. A boot image with these changes made. To try it on your phone, first back up your mtd2 image (the boot image). Type the following in a root shell to back it up to your sdcard:
cat /dev/mtd/mtd2 > /sdcard/mtd2.img
Then, unzip boot-rc29-customlogo.img.zip it and stick it on your sdcard and type the following in a root shell:
cat /dev/zero >> /dev/mtd/mtd2
flash_image boot /sdcard/boot-rc29-customlogo.img
(when you do the cat, it will tell you "write: No space left on device," which is fine)
To restore your original boot image, do the cat and then flash_image your mtd2.img backup.
2. Samples of the raw image as well as the rle encoded version.
3. A nifty photo of this working on my phone.

[Q] Unknown file seeking root access

Hi,
The file kjrnl.nb was seeking root access from SuperSU today. It was denied access to root and thereafter I don't see any difference with the phone.
Anyone here can shed some light; from what / where this file came from ? Thanks.
Phone: Galaxy Note N7000.

I up that, I've got the same file requesting for a bunch of permissions today, out of nowhere.
Anyone knows what might that be?
It popped up when I clicked on the Prepay Widget Lite widget, which already has root permissions granted (it fetches USSD code updates like account balance and presents the results in a nice widget).
Hi there, just had the same file request root access as well. I made the mistake of granting and noticed it started to tamper with iptables. Does anyone know what this file is? No info on it all I can find?

Wow, nobody know? Really?
The other disturbing thing, after this request pops up the next time you visit the SuperSU gui your prompted with a request to update the binary. I did initially allow it access and it proceeded to modify iptables

Old thread but same problem.
Have you found the origin of this file? It runs only when I boot the phone (n910c) and I can't find the file kjrnl.nb but it shows running with "busybox ps". It might be something that gets uncompressed realtime during boot. I have always to kill the PID after boot.
Thanks for any insight.

NON ROOT: CPU Binning [Nexus 5]

Hello Guys just today i found out a very easy method to check your CPU's bin without rooting your phone.
I know there must be some other method else where. But this one is new and I only found it out today.
So here it goes:
1. Download and Install X-plore File manager (Its free) from here
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2. Now open it , you will see two directories /sdcard and /root and now go to /root( Just enter the directory it will not ask for any root access):
3. Now navigate to the folder d-> /sys/Kernel/debug .
4. After that inside the folder u will find a folder named acpuclk, open that folder.
5.Now there you will find a file named pvs_bin, open that file and select open as text.
In there you will find a number. This is your CPU bin.
In my case its 1.
So post your PVS here.
why have another thread to post your binning? post your bin number in the thread that we have been using for this very reason http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2515593
and yes, you dont need root to find out your bin number, there are other apps that do this as well.
Thx a lot, was looking for non root method. PVS4 here.
I agree with @simms22 please use the thread which already exists for this topic, plus looks like all the images in this thread are broken.

storage/emulated/0 after custom ROM, free space and new system problem.

Hi everyone,
few days ago i decided to flash custom ROM instead of my stock 4.1.1 android to my Smasung Galaxy S3 LTE. Everything seems to be fine but when i wanted to make backup through CWM it did it but to the last cwm folder in storage/emulated and then i couldn't make recovery from it. The path of my actual place where is the data is storage/emulated/0. I don't know why the old files are saved in storage/emulated, i can't see them in my windows. Only root browser can show them. Can i delete them? Or can i just change my new storage/emulated/0 path to the old one and use my old apps with new ROM? This is very annyoing problem cus i've got ~16 gb Samsung, and windows shows that there is only 11 gb available and a lot of this space is coverd by files i can't even see. How can i fix it?

first copy all form /sdcard (phone memory) to computer -not sdcard1
