Hey Yorzua, beautiful themes you have there! I found these when I was trying to download the smali kit you had on the other post but the link was bad. I'm trying to learn smali code and I think that would have helped but what happened to it??

About my tutos, i had to close them after an issue with MODS and far from me the idea to damage XDA in any way but some admins should pay more attention to the quality of the MODS 's rules sometimes...
However, check my tutos in my website linked in my signature : i will upload there as soon as possible my Smali kit for you

That's true, theme Chooser has limitations of course.
My question still is, are u asking for a donation and then an email in order to get the theme? If so, that's a shame.

Born and raised in the Hollywood California area, I have been an avid Mobile Tech addict for a little over 4 years now. I started with old Windows Mobile 5.0, and worked my way up to making ROM's for Windows Mobile 6.5.3. I also got started early on with Android and got the HTC G1 as soon as it came out, and have been hacking and running Android ever since. I spend most of my time with my beautiful fiancee', surfing and tweaking my Android. I love to laugh, and love to laugh at myself more than anything. will not continue this discussion with you as i need all the time possible to keep developing my themes and tutos ... live and let live buddy

Where are the mods in this forum?

Are you just going to sit by and let people rip each other to shreds? I know that some people deserve it...but some don't.
Why have things here been allowed to sink so low? People are frustrated and taking it out on each other. That isn't what web communities are all about. Moderators and admins are supposed to help in situations like this yet, I don't see anything from the admins or mods. Why is that?
Faria had an extreme situation and no one did anything about it and from there things have just gone all too hell. There was a person who should have been banned in the last Faria thread. If you'd have stepped in things wouldn't be @ the point they are now.
Are there any mods or admins out there? Don't you care in the least bit? Are you just going to allow this place to dry up and die?
Time to step in. NOW.
BTW I've been a member for 3 years. I have a low post count because don't post much because I READ...LOTS...in every forum. So I'm not just a noob. I'm studying.
Some of us do read. We don't deserve to be punished and ripped.
Sorry - (I only speak for myself) I haven't had the time to follow all the looooooooong threads on a daily basis. Which threads should I check out?
(BTW, always feel free to PM mods if you have problems with some forum members. It's the fatestes method.)
xultar: every post has an exclamation next to it to allow a post to be reported to the mods. As much as we would like to, no one has time to read every post on every thread.

The person who took the password to Faria's rom and posted it in all the forums?
That __s.
BTW some people are advocating a 1 month wait before a person first posts.
You guys should consider that option. I'll post a link to the thread where it is being discussed. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=283801&page=3
Scroll towards the bottom...a member suggested a month hold on posting for new forum members...forcing them to read. I think a lot of us agree with such an idea.
I would suggest taking in a few more mods to help you guys out. Perhaps assign a couple of mods to each forum. Making these persons responsible for that forum. I can truly understand that you guys don't wanna/have time to read through a 50 page thread concerning a ROM for a device that you don't even own.

Did that for this thread (which contains Warez): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1066121#post1066121
But I guess it was lost in the mail! (Just reported it for a third or maybe fourth time today).
How can I respect a site that allows outright theft of intellectual property?
Need help?
If you guys don't have the time, make me a moderator, I'll tear some threads to shreds and sink the "Gimme a$$holes".

When you purchased the phone you purchased a license for WM5. This is in essence modding a legally licensed OS.
Of course this gets sticky when you are talking about running WM5 on a device without a released version of WM5.
But this is off topic. The point is that when Warez are reported the Mods still do nothing.
This was posted a little while ago. I guess they are listening to us and taking mod applications.

Vilem, No prob... I've had my share of bad days and on an occassion or two I've ripped into someone when they didn't deserve it. You at least posed a question about the difference instead of ripping me a new A-Hole for being a hypocrite.
Plus, the EVIL GENIE Bill (Stifle-all-competition) Gates, himself was recently reported as being approached by an X-BOX modder, and asking how MicroSoft could reach out to their modding community....
Sounds to me like M$ wants to be a bit more inclusive now.
Letting our community build market share for them doesn't sound counterproductive for anyone here.

[APP] Board Express - Tapatalk for Windows Phone 7 [R] 19-10-10 [U] 10-02-11 [V] 2.2

Name: Board Express
We‘ve developed a new software for Windows Phone 7: Board Express for Tapatalk. This application enables you to use forums in the Internet directly on your WP7 device! Tapatalk is already well known on Android and iPhone and is very popular.
Xda-developers have their own rebranding Tapatalk client, the xda-develpers App for Android.
Our WP7 client allows you to read and write in forums on the go, using a special User Interface, adapted for Windows Phone 7. It has also been optimized for causing only little traffic and be easy to read. You may also write posts and open new threads, subscribe to topics and search. Furthermore, it can display unread threads or topics in your own themes, show private messages or send them and of course quote, edit, delete and report posts, and much more.

Hi
The app looks really good. Nice work. Is there the "go to first unread post"-feature integrated as in the android version of Tapatalk?
No, sadly this function is not integrated in the first version. We worked hard on it but this is not really easy to implement. This feature will make it's way to version 1.1 which will also be in the Marketplace very soon
Except from this feature, we implemented almost every function from Tapatalk into our Board Express app.
I can't find board express on the marketplace.
Is it not available to some regions? I'm in Ireland.
Thanks
Sadly, at the moment Board Express is not available in the WP7 Marketplace, because we have problems with the Microsoft Certification Test..
We submitted the App twice now, and on every submission, they find a new error which is kind of disappointing. Why don't they find all the errors on the first time so you don't have to wait seven more days?
But we keep going and we hope, that Board Express will be available soon

You can access xda-developers with the standard Board Express App The advantage is, that with Board Express you can access over 8'000 other forums.
I see that vbulletin support is listed, but does it support the heavily modified Something Awful forums which is based on an very old version of vbulletin ?
It is a pay site and I would happily buy you a login if it meant support could be added.

At the moment, "Someting Awful" is not supported. Has the forum owner installed the Tapatalk Plugin? It's completely free. Please ask him to install Tapatalk and I'm confident, that Board Express will support "Something Awful" afterwards.

Sadly not - we, like many others, have big problems with the certification for the Windows Phone Marketplace.. We're working on it hard, but it seems that on every submission, Microsoft finds some new errors, some of them are not even listed in their documents..
It'd be nice if some of you guys working on it take a really hard look at the Metro design specs. While the application idea is nice, it looks out of place. Make more use of different font sizes, proper padding and make use of the accent and ancillary colors, ditch as much of the lines as possible.

This won't happen. Matter of fact is, even tho the page bottom still says VBulletin, it's so heavily modified and parts rewritten, it's almost its own forum software.
We'll have a look into the design, as soon as the App is being published! First priority is to get the App in the Marketplace

Board Express runs very smoothly, no crashes, no hungs, no freezes, no restarts... since the first version, we submittet to the Marketplace (This was never a reason, why we did not get approved). Microsoft does not really test the above things.. A lot of Apps in the Marketplace are very laggy.. Microsoft tests other things, which sometimes are ridiculous.
One reason, why they did not approve our app, was the translation of "favorites" (Am) - we used "favourites" (Br.) instead. Microsoft told us, that "favourites" is german, which is 100% wrong ("Favoriten" is german), and that we need to translate everything, including "favourites". (They thought that we missed to translate "favourites")
Another reason was: We submitted a branded version for PocketPC.ch. PocketPC.ch is a Windows Phone 7 and Android Community, this was mentioned in the app description. "Android" is a bad word for Microsoft, so we didn't get approved.
Ridiculous is also, that Microsoft did not note every reason why we did not get approved on the first test, they found one new reason why we do not get approved on every submission. And on every submission, you have to wait 3-7 days until Microsoft checks your App again. And after every check, after you got the result, that your App has not been approved, you have to wait 1-3 days on the reasons, why your App did not get approved.
But good news: Today, the branded Client of PocketPC.ch got approved and we resubmitted the two Board Express versions and we hope that we get approved this time
Finally, Board Express Pro got approved
Here's the link: Board Express Pro (Works only with IE). At the moment, Board Express Pro is not yet indexed in the Marketplace, this will happen in the next 24 hours.
We hope, that Board Express gets approved soon
Weeehaa

Thank you. Great job!
Great work. Thanks for sticking with it.
I am happy you showed determination and not letting others dissuade you from bringing something to the community that is going to further our enjoyment of the Droid X!
Thanks!
I have more respect for you in not asking for donations although at this point, I would be more willing to give you a donation than kejar or jrummy. It seems they are only about the money.
Fyi, I regularly donate to devs so I don't have anything against donation at all. I just don't believe in donating to hard headed devs who are only about the money.

This is complete BS and you know it.... Nothing about any of the issues had anything to do with us being concerned about receiving donations.
I did have an issue with him re-posting our work and asking for donations though.. Because for the most part this ROM is Liberty with a theme.
To say he rebuilt the apps is a stretch at the least. All he did was use APKManager to decompile the app and delete folders. Themers for the most part do the same. To truly rebuild the apps he would need to build them from source as I did. If he would have reached out to me I would have sent him instructions on how build his own. Which I have offered and done, for others who have asked.
If you haven't noticed many of the features included in the Liberty toolbox are only available in pay-for only apps from Jrummy and while the app may be free on the market that doesnt not mean it is open source and free for other devs to use.
By him using our app he is also using our servers to assist him in the downloading of add-ons and themes, for his ROM. Servers which are already congested.
Do you not see a problem with any of this????
If he would have asked I don't believe that Jrummy would have been ok with him using the toolbox in his ROM. If he wanted to use the base I would have been fine.
Notice that we have been more than willing to help other devs with their ROMs on many occasions.
Examples:
Jrummy's overclocking script is in almost all DX and D2 ROMS
Rubix uses the GummyJAR base and apps and I was more than happy to help Drod2169 in doing so
Fission's latest build uses Gummy's framework and lockscreen tool and I helped Angdroid implement that.
I believe we would have been much happier if he would have removed the scripts and toolbox and just used the base. If this would have happened nothing would have been said.

Rubix usses the GummyJAR base and apps and I was more than happy to help Drod2169 in doing so
Fission's latest build uses Gummy's framework and lockscreen tool and I helped Android implement that.
I believe we would have been much happier if he would have removed the scripts and toolbox and just used the base. If this would have happened nothing would have been said.

I do not like the feel of this thread at all. You make it look like we harassed you trying to get you to delete the thread. Also, your red big bold that you use to tell people to not donate to you makes it look like all we are trying to do is get donations from people.
I do not make roms for money. If I did I would be a COMPLETE fool. After doing roms for about a year I can tell you that donations suck. I told Kejar at the beginning that I have always considered roms as free work. Why do I do it then? Because I love it. It's a great hobby and I do not do it for money at all and it has always been that way for me.
I have never spoken to you before. All I said about this rom was 2 things. One on twitter where I was upset that you didn't ask if you could use liberty toolbox before posting it up and the second was here:
Hey bro,
Next time just ask before basing a rom off of someones work. Instead of having multiple roms based on something, you should just contribute whatever work you do to the liberty team or start a rom from freash

i know you didnt harrass me. it was more the the community. i but that in big bold letters b/c i know how people love to just skim the op. by putting that in big bold letters im sure no one will miss it.. and you guys will get credit for the great work you did.. and i referred to that whole donation thing because kejar sent me a message saying he felt like i was posting your rom with a donation link under my name and possibly thought i was trying to snatch a few bucks. i just wanted to clear up that was by no means the case and just wanted to reiterate that.. i also completely undertstand you being upset that thats why i apoligized.. i dont want to start any drama either bro. its people in the community who start talking all this nonsense... if you wanna talk to me about this and work something out id be more then happy to on gtalk or twitter. just let me know. thanks for all your hard work.
Guys. Chill. Everyone.
I submit that this whole thing could have been handled differently. And should have been.
Clearly, Chingy was not trying to take credit for anyone's work, nor profit from it. He was just sharing his modifications with a group of people who don't like what the man delivered to us.
But in all reality, what harm was done? None.
I really love the Liberty ROM, and by extension the Incredibly Re-Engineered ROM. There are features in both that are down right awesome. I love them both.
Let's just wipe the slate clean, and move on. This is by far, greater than Moto/VZW have done. I believe we all agree on that.
Please, let's get along and make Android what it was meant to be.
We need free thinkers and developers to bring ideas to reality.
I use Liberty on my Droid X, and my Dinc had Incredibly Re-engineered. (Actually it still does)
I think one major thing that needs to be said is this:
The Droid X dev forums are NOTHING like the Dinc forums. We have very talented devs, I'm not saying we don't, but there aren't as many devs here. This is something that needs to be taken note of.. We can't afford to bash each other or dislike each other because there's not enough to begin with. If we want to continue improving this phone, we need to all work together. I'm not saying anyone bashed anyone, but I feel this had to be taken to heart.
Looks real good downloading now.
And lets all be friends.
Thanks to all 3 and i have bought jrummys apps and there quality but one request add more boot logos to logo changer maybe some google and htc logos.
Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Just asking. I hare drama so im just posting to get my post count up;-)

I have tried every ROM out the on my X,Inc,OG Droid, and EVO.... This is by far the quickest, cleanest, and most stable yet. Good job! That being said... F these haters, lets see them make their own ROM! I believe their all missing one big detail... EVERY ROM HAS BEEN RIPPED OFF OF THE ORIGINAL VANILLA ANDROID OS. Not saying its a bad thing but its the truth. If I knew how to create a ROM, this would be what I would have created. Just saying.... You don't like it down run it. More for me!
Half these haters are going to be rocking iPhones by the end of the month anyway! Have fun with you custom ROMS THEN!
Wonderful rom! I prefer this to everything out there so far, thanks for your work!

give the guy some credit
I been using this rom a few days now and I am very satisfied with it. Dont know exactly what he did or didnt do, but I personally think it runs a bit smoother than liberty or gummyjar even though it came from those 2 roms. keep up the good work.

You can mod your phone in no time with less hassle and you can start making great themes for everyone. And you don't need to wait for anyone to do the job for you.
Let's bring competition to table. There are many brilliant Roms out there (Cyanogen,Miui,...) but not all devices can have the same theme or mod since their device is not supported. I'm sure many of you guys have different taste, ideas, and can improve the look of your Rom. Let's theme our Android Roms ourselves and give our Developers a break
It is not easy to find all the tutorials in one place and not spending hours in XDA website to learn something. I myself have learned a lot from XDA, other Devs and using try and error method.
These tutorials would be super easy even for someone who had never done theming before. If I find time I will include images too.
Tutorials will teach u how to theme almost every App you have (ADW, LauncherPro, Go Launcher,...). There are other guides out there and u r welcome to use them but what makes mine different is that details and tricks will be covered. Tutorials should be fast and easy. I myself got tired of reading long confusing tutorials and still came up with questions.
So bring your skills on the table and post your themes in XDA website.
I will update tutorials and add new ones every week. I won't post them in the thread to avoid long pages and keep the thread clean. I will always include sample files with tutorials so you can learn theming with an example. How cool is that!
You can apply these techniques in any rom. My sample files are for CM7 just to give you an idea where the files are located and how to apply them.
I won't provide direct downloading cause I run out of bandwidth quickly and you can save tutorials on your phone and read them wherever you want
Help me to find mistakes and improve tutorials and I will include video tutorials for the revised, improved written tutorials later.
Theming part I is a quick tutorial to apply changes to "framework" and some "system apk" (Phone.apk, SystemUI.apk, ...).
Support the thread and I will add more tutorials. Please don't forget the "Thanks Button"

coolness will take a look on part I. I myself am starting on an android theme for cm7. I really can't wait and I have a concept lined up for it. So it would be nice for a tutorial since I am just starting and I know there are a lot out there but it sounds like you know the android modding "game" and your theme is awesome :3
So pretty please finish this thanks =)
Thanks for helping all the noobs out there , i myself learnt to theme android through doing it myself and a bit of reading the guides *points at impaler* , your tutorial seems good too hehe.
although one thing that bugs me is the many colours and font you used in the OP, i duno why LOL.

My pleasure! I also learned things the hard way First part might look like a draft ( took me 2.5 hours) but it will be improved gradually. I just started this tutorials so I won't claim the best tutorials yet lol but I'm going to make it happen
People might get bored reading my long OP so I changed colors to make it easier to read. Trust me it was extra work for me but I thought it might help lol

You are very welcome I had the same challenges the first time I was trying to make sense of this process. Couple of first tutorials will be mostly general to give people enough time to setup everything. If you guys follow the thread, I will point to specific names of the images you need to know for theming purposes.

Works perfectly fine, scrolls fast too. I like this app, might use it as my daily app for reddit. Reminds me of a combination of bacon reader and reddit sync.
There is a bug though on a reddit post containing a link as the op post. I can never seem to get go the page with all the comments and whatnot as you normally would in a text submitted post.

You are Waiting For your OPO, Am waiting for your Feedback. !!! :fingers-crossed:
I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and it works great. Except one thing. Clicking a link to another reddit post causes the app to crash.
I just downloaded it. Thank you for your contribution. I just wanted to note some things I've noticed and would appreciate improved. Upon launching the application, I had to hit refresh inorder for the thumbnails to load. I also noticed there is no seamless way getting into the comment section of a post (possibly I'm not looking in the right place?). And lastly, there is no indication for a post that I've already clicked on (blue link->purple/change color of text).
This is all i can report on now but they aren't major issues. I'll definitely continue to use your app and continue to give you feedback if I come across anything else.
I really appreciate the time and effort you took to make this app:highfive:

Just started using it, and I immediately don't like the interface very much. There's nothing separating the texts. The usernames, points, etc are just laid out right after each other with no indications or dividers. Also, I think each post could be a bit smaller, maybe fit more on the screen. Just my 2 cents.
