Pfff "under discussion" ? The update should already be out ! Great tab but Samsung is really late with the update.. really annoying because the 3.0.1 stock sucks!
I've read somewhere that they will bring the update in Summer 2011, so it could be!!!
Yeah, I also read something like that.. but common'.. the P7500 was relased after the P7100 and the update was ready short after the release.. Well Samsung support (Netherlands) couldn't tell me anything about the update.. really lame if you ask me.
Just contacted samsung 2 weeks ago, and they told me there will be an update for the P7100 but they couldn't tell me when it will be released.
I'm a bit disappointed about it, because I cannot return the tablet 10.1v anymore. Because I really want an update for the 10.1v because it is superior to the 10.1

Have you tried the stock P7100BUKDF? Also found in this forum, it supports Dutch, also with build in dictionary for Dutch. Also, the unofficial 3.1 touchwiz rom by seo has dutch dictionaries and language.
I find it kind of sad that the tablet is for sale in the Netherlands, but hasn't got Dutch language support though.

I really haven't looked at it yet, but I will if updates are not coming soon.
Lousy support by samsung and especially vodafone! It's my own fault I bought this tablet. I should have learned from my previous purchase of HTC magic (vodafone), which didn't get any single firmware upgrade. Without the condribution of the custom ROM developers, I would have been stuck to version 1.5 (cupcake).
It's a pity that they don't support their products. It's no use to roll out a really good product, without support. They are pushing people to iOS. At least if you own an apple product, you are sure that you will get updates for a period of time.

They give vodavone the ball to update but they forget that the tablet is also for sale without a vodavone deal. i don't have a vodavone deal and how will people like me get a update? it a samsung product so the support needs to be from samsung.

Inderdaad kastje naar de muur wat nergens over gaat. Vindt het ronduit belachelijk dat het op zo'n manier moet, weet wel als er geen update komt een van die 2 partijen mijn tablet om gaat wisselen, alhoewel de 10.1 mindere camera kwaliteit heeft.
Maar kunnen we er niks aan doen ?
Ik bedoel met zijn allen vodafone en samsung mailen enz ...

If you plan on getting a Xoom, get one in France, there is a deal over here where the tablet is only 429 eur. I believe its simlock free, I've seem it laying around at a phone store over in France. Its a big difference from the 699 eur that they ask in the Netherlands.
Other than that I like my Tab, it has a better screen than the Xoom, but is also lighter and the chance for official Touchwiz support is nice too. I like the Touchwiz that I use right now. Granted that the Xoom has better development going on right now.

Support op SamsungWorld zegt juist dat Vodafone updates verzorgt.
Voor mij geen Samsung 10.1 meer.
Ik wacht op de grote soft en hardware update in September.

How to get the Touch-IT Xperience:
Hard-SPL or USPL is needed if you wanna flash custom roms (spl1.54)

My tips on how to flash a custom rom:
-Do not let battery be below 50%
-Keep the device on a secure location (so that it wont fall and loose connection to your pc during flash)
-Enter bootloader (rainbowscreen) pressing power button and volume down simultaneously (hold the buttons untill you enter bootloader)
-Connect to
-Run the blackstonecustom.ruu and follow onscreen instructions

-Do a Hard-reset after flashing is done
-Wait with installing any apps/progs until you have tested the performance and stability of the rom.
-Tweaks and regedits are allready set to max up the performance, if you install tweaking cabs or other performance cabs, they might not

-Before reporting bugs, try think before you post; is it related to something you have altered?
-Missing programs is not a bug. I do not wish to have comments on why this and that are missing. Get a cab..

Fantastisk rom ,men detter er jo bare beta får håpe at den blir bugfri.
Bugs jeg har funnet til nå er:
1:Missing Æ,Ø,Å i tastaturet,dette er vel ikke bugg ,men dog.
2:Når du skal være på wifi nett og oppdatere vær,youtub,gå på internett så funker det ikke,den vil hele tiden bruke gprs,dette problemet kan sikkert fixes med regfix.
3:Home knappen fungerer ikke ,samme med tilbake knappen.
Eller så må jeg rose ITJE for endelig att vi har NORSK utgave, stå på.

yes those fixes are in..virtual buttons are working flawless
battery consumtion is reduced in new version, but its buildt for performance and speed, so it has a higher power consumtion
But I have not timed it compared to a stock rom, so I am not sure what real difference there is
also a norwegian 6.5 will come along with 6.1

Hi and welcome.
I just look for great pictures on the web that i like and use the Gimp to convert them to the right size and format.(software like paintshop is also ok to use)
Then copy all the ***_manila files from your phone windows folder into a folder on your hard-disc.
Then i use m9editor 3.3.0.1 to select and copy the the icons i want to change into yet another folder on your hard-disc.
Then open the selected files in Manila Editor v.0.2 and replace them with your own icons.
I attached the needed apps for you.

The iconset isn't phone related but the problem is probable with the manila 2.5 build the iconset here works with Manila 2.518*** build.

The Manila files are all in the windows folder of your device.
Be sure you have hide systemfiles off in windows folder options.

thx for the quick response. I might have made another mistake, independent from manila version: I didn't change htc sense to windows default before exchanging the files. Can that also be a prob? Will definitely try again later...

Yes always turn off htc sence if you copy the files.
I also copy the files to a folder on my storage card and from that folder i copy the files into the windows folder, work like a charm.

now I can confirm that the manila versions are not fully compatible
I re-flashed my rom and followed your instructions
it didn't change one icon on manila menu!
just on music tab the big gramo was displayed during searching, the internet browser icon was simply "invisible", neither old nor new and that's about it
so I'm afraid it's definitely not going to work on higher manila versions, shame
still hope you will sometime find the time and motivation to update and help us along
suggestion: ever considered including something like a quill and/or ink well for messages and maybe a sundial for the weather? the calendar "lacks" a little something too (no offense meant ), in my humble opinion, but I can't name it yet.

I will be updating the files to the other builds that are out i'm just very busy right now and as you say the files are not compatible so i'll have to find out witch one's i need.
So please be patient and i'll update as soon as possible.

Din rom verkar fungera väldigt bra än så länge, det enda som inte verkar fungera är lägga till/ta bort favoriter i Panelmanager, samt när man trycker på Panelmanager ikonen i Slideview så snurrar hjulet en stund sedan inget mer?

Main functions:
-delete/move favorite panels to another slots
-add panel to any slot
Check Ultrashot forum side for info and download zip. I don´t know how to use it, sorry! It´s called as you see ontop (Panelselector).
When it comes to slideview i can´t say that i have that problem.....

it did't work for me it shows "inget program har accocierats med applicationname.reg" osv...
Excellent seeing a swedish ROM!
Might be the first custom ROM i'll flash onto my X1, after i've finally sent it to repair... (but i don't want to send it away and be without it ;P already been away on repair for 2½ weeks before...)
I'm waiting & hoping it will be further developed and supported (and keep about the same performance, stability and options as the other popular ROMs), if it is, I'm sure i'll flash it to my X1 when i get it back from repair =)

What do you mean by that?? On my Xperia it works flawlessly without any problem!
These Com 5 builds are really good with threaded email´s and Office 10 and the speed of it is great to.
But if you don´t like it you could wait for Gummismurfen to release the Com 2 build 21895. He has got it from me and i think he will be releasing it soon i think. He had i little problem with the MSXIPKERNEL but i solved it for him. So now he can start to rebuild the 21895 and upload it.

- Unable to start my phone
- Unable to go Recovery Mode
- The screen always show "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
- Tried to use Kies but doesn't even detect my device.

Now I got a phone which don't charge (discharge faster than it charge ) and which got its system partition (factoryfs) corrupted
I'm searching for a solution, (inb4, Samsung Repair Center ISN'T a solution ) Is it possible to use a kind of software to format the eMMc and reformat it right ?
Also, how can I charge my phone if it always show this annoying message which inhibit my battery ?

I got same problem 5 days ago with LPY. Wipe in recovery is dangerous think to do. I got my problem also after wipe in recovery while on LPY.
All trick I do to make my note wake up ... but nothing. Thursday morning go to SSC and they said have to replace part inside my note. Yesterday afternoon they call me that my note already repaired ... free of charge .
Hope you can wake up ur note with some trick ... so you can share with us how to do it bro. Good luck !!!

Yep I read it, so many times, but as M3GATROLL said, KingDroid v1.4 is a mix of both LPY and LPF, I thought the dev use LPF part to securise the rom..

Thanks mate, I would take my Note to SSC when I will be sure that there is no means to repair it Because the nearest SSC is about 100km of my house, and I haven't any means of transport (Living in the french coutryside and I'm 17)

When I flashed stock LPF I did exactly as dr.ketan show in his thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1659308 ) with the 16gb pit
(btw I got the 16gb version)
When I flashed stock GB rom (single file) I put it into PDA and I tick "Repartition" "Auto Reboot" "F reset time"
I have removed the battery 2 hours ago, I put it back now

Quand j'ai flashé la rom stock LPF j'ai fais exactement comme décrit dans le guide de dr.ketan http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1659308 avec le fichier pit de 16 giga puisque j'ai le Note 16Gb
Quand j'ai flashé la rom stock de Gingerbread avec un seul fichier je l'ai mis en PDA et j'ai laissé coché les trois cases "Repartition" " auto reboot" et "f reset time" (du coup j'ai un doute, je sais pas s'il fallait activer la re-partition)
J'ai enlevé la batterie il y a deux heures, je la remet maintenant, et puis je vais manger
Le fichier .tar que tu upload contient quoi ?

when you flash with pc odin a tar, don't choice REPARTITION

Galaxy Note is my third Samsung Android device, after Galaxy i7500 and Nexus S, not the first time I brick these device, but there is always a solution to unbrick it..
I'm not dev, but I think this "superbrick" is unbrickable as 'always', need some serious dev to find a way to reformat and repartition the whole eMMc through the download mode, it's maybe possible if Samsung Factorys can do it

Remember that on XDA you can speak french too, but an english traduction is obligatory according to the rules.
French version : Je n'ai pas très bien compris ton post, tu cherche combien coûte la réparation ?

for me your phone is not bricked,you have just a bad installation but now the system don't charge the phone...
have you a friend with a note for charge your battery? or test with a seller (exemple phone house ) for 1hour....

Dude, from the gravity of your problem. I seriously doubt you can ever revive back your phone to it's former state.
I'm no expert but I read the important details here that the emmc chip on all Exynos devices have bugs on it. And not even a Jtag can ever wipe out and fix the bug.
My best advice to you (I know it's 100Km from your house to the nearest Samsung repair center) is to just make an effort and sacrifice to take that plunge of going there.
The longer you prolong your Note by experimenting and subjecting to whatever test you do, the more harm you might be giving it to already.
I read somewhere from a chinese saying.. 'A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step...'
Again, take your Note to Samsung and have it repaired. That's my best advice to you.

Si tu va au SSC, il suffit de dire que tu as branché ton téléphone sur ton ordinateur et que Kies ta proposé une mise à jour, que tu as accepté et que Kies a buggé (dit leur que "y'avait marqué le programme a cessé de fonctionner"), fais semblant d’être un utilisateur lambda qui voulait juste synchroniser ses photos et normalement il te le prendront gratuitement, et au bout d'une semaine tu retrouvera ton note

Nop, I doesn't know anyone with a note, and I live in the coutryside ( à la campagne ) and there is no phone store...
But I gave a Nexus S and the voltage is exactly the same, logically I can recharge the Note battery with the Nexus S but the battery does not fit in
Nexus S battery is basiccaly the same as note battery, so I can :
- Charge Note battey with my nexus S
- Put Nexus S battery into the note (1500mAh but same voltage 3.7V)
But both solution require that I make a kind of welding..

I've bought it when it was on exclu at sfr, when I was on vacation... far far away from my house and all the papers, agreement, are approximately at 680km of my house
je l'ai acheté lors de l'exclu SFR, sans prendre de forfait d'ailleurs, ils m'ont juste donnés une sim avec 1€ de crédit je l'ai désimlocké avec un outils trouvé sur le forum du galaxy S, bref, de toute façon la paperasse est restée chez ma grand mère où je vais pendant les vacances, et j'y retourne pas avant 2 mois..
Je préfère essayer de le reparer moi meme, pour l'instant je le laisse charger pour voir, rien ne s'affiche sur l'écran, la batterie doit repartir

Status bar problem
So installed your rom on my g965f dual sim and for some reason the clock and battery icon is too close to the corners of the edges and I tried status bar padding apps to see if I could move it but that didn't work so I was wondering if anyone else is having problems with clock and battery icon being too close to corners. By the way the rom works great its just the clock and battery icon being too close to the corners for some reason its fine when I pull down to see the quick panel but then it goes back into the corners when I swipe it back up

This is what we call a classical fake port, this is NOT OneUI 2.5, key features to check is the camera-feature.xml and floating_feature.xml, and there is a few more giveaways to show it's fake. The OP is badly spelt, misleading and not very detailed. Reporting this thread to mods, as I have a smart eye and know what i'm looking for to spot a fake without even having to flash this waste.

Use the real N20 vendor, instead of s9 one. Just gotta do some debloating and porting the hw libs
