[WIP] Finding Solution for 0% Battery - Xperia Arc Android Development

Hello again people
Ok we know there are a ton of phones with 0% battery issue after downgrade from 2.3.4 and root
Apparently is not software related problem since I already try to:
Flash a lot of different firmwares - Doesn't work
Fix the bootloader - Doesn't work
Repair trim area (working trim area from another phone and restore security backups) - Doesn't work
So now the dev of setool is search for a solution for whis annoying problem.
Update 1
Anyone with an Arc with this problem who wants to try a full trim area repair please contact me.
This process is simple:
1. First we need to backup your security units from original Trim Area.
2. Format trim area and write a backup from another working phone.
3. Restore your original security backup.
Please anyone with an Arc 0% battery issue send me a pm.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Please all users with this problem who want to help to this:
1. Download the rar attached.
2. Unpack it and double click to execute.bat
This file just is a command "adb shell dmesg > log_output.txt"
3. Post that log_output.txt file , don't forget to say the model of the phone
For now this can help to identify the problem. Only post logs with 0% battery problem please
Thanks in advance

here is the attached output file
one of the suspects that someone pointed at is
[ 5.085205] Please check boot accessing charger (want 0x50, got 0xac) ***

[q] sgs automatic screen rotation is not working

Please help me guys
I have an International Samsung Galaxy S 16GB(GT-i9000) purchased a month back in India. Since then, i flashed many firmwares since then through Odin. Now recently I flashed the XWJP6 froyo firmware and been using it with Voodoo without any problems.
But since yesterday, i have noticed that the automatic screen rotation doesnt work. I thought it was a bug with firmware, so i have flashed back to the original DDJG4 firmware. But even then the problem exists. Now i have noticed that I cant play any sensor games like NFS SHift, Asphalt 5, etc. So, i am thinking now that maybe the sensor is not working at all. Now please help me what to do?
I am thinking to give it in service center. But i know that i have voided my warranty, so is there any chance that they would repair it even? Also i noticed my product code has changed to HKAXEE. Is there any chance to get it back to HKAINU? Please help me !!!

Hold your finger at the very TOP & slide it down, on the top you see icons, click on Auto rotation.
Hi krishkanth787 don't panic just yet.
I had a similar problem to this after flashing Darky's froyo ROM last night - auto rotate wouldn't work no matter whether I turned it on or off and I couldn't play accelerometer based games! My first thought was also that the hardware was broken.
However this morning I found it was something to do with the home app LauncherPro. Everything started working fine after restoring it back to defaults, which is a little weird because I'd made sure that Auto-rotation was enabled within it!
You might have a similar problem even if you're not using LauncherPro.
I'm afraid I can't help you with changing the product code except to say that it's definitely possible - I think it involves editing some system files. I'm pretty they'll be information about it here on xda.

I assumed that turning Auto rotation ON might be a little too obvious, but I guess it's often the more obvious things.

Yeah I read about that in another forum which is why I tried restoring LauncherPro back to defaults. No idea what caused it though cause I've now set them back to exactly how they were and it's still fine.
still doesnt work
thank u a lot guys.
I have tried everything possible, including wiping data cache, flashing to original firmware, etc, but nothing seems to have solved the problem. I am suspecting it as a hardware problem. The weird thing is when i switch on auto rotate, the device goes into landscape mode and refuses to come back to potrait mode, then i have to manually turn off auto rotate to get back !!
Try recalibrating using the Froyo shell tool

Trigger sensor recalibration without root?
I have the same problem: After starting googe navigation the sensors (both acceleration and magnetic) stoped providing data and so auto-rotation doesn't work any more.
I checked for the ms3c_yamaha.cfg file: It's empty. I have FW JPY (Android 2.2.1) and iirc 2.2.1 can not be rooted easily with an app.
Are there any other ways to trigger a sensor recalibration without root?
Edit: Just found out that root is super easy done with superOnClick root, even on 2.2.1.
it worked for me too man and thanks

Thanks a million man. This works for me too.
This worked for me too. I deleted the config file with root explorer. Downloaded a free Terminal emulator. Typed SU then cd'd to system/bin and ran sensorcalibutil_yamaha. Exited and tested with GPS-Status working straight away.
I was about to reinstall a stock rom and return it under warranty.
Thanks
I apologise in advance for being a massive noob, but after installing darkys rom I found my accelerometer not working. I think the solution given in this thread will do the trick but I have one problem...i do not understand a thing anyone has said.
you mention this adb.exe thing and recalibration and this froyo shell tool and I don't know how to get this adb.exe thing.
I would be really grateful if someone could lay this out step by step including where I go to download whatever I need etc.
Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give!

like other people already explained you in the kernel thread... you hard bricked your phone and there is nothing you can do besides giving your phone to service (i guess u still have warranty).
it's so stupid people flash blindly everything without knowing what they are doing.. a little bit research (sgs+ wiki for example) woudl have helped you out.
I already said what you can try and btw shouldnt be in Development Section

Try getting into download mode, if it doesn't boot in, then try getting a USB-JIG, If it doesn't work after that, Then you've got a "Hard Brick". All you can do is go to the repair center.

You should not flash if you are uncertain source. Bananause not release anything that is working yet so you should check everything twice before I started to flash. I'm not sure that he knows what he is doing.
You should never flash a zimage. Boot.img is the correct one
and here is a link to the jig.

No one here can help you, your phone requires specialised Hardware fixing tools in order too restore the broken firmware, you must send it to a service center if you want it fixed.

[Q] USB not working anymore !

Hi guys, I've been waiting for a custom Rom for this device.
I recently installed C-ROM final ( and all the needed stuff ) onto it, but now, no USB connection to Windows Computer can be done.
The device seems to be no more recognized. So my question is, did I missed something ? Should I install another driver to get things back to normal ?
Thanks in advance for to those who will take a lil bit of their time to answer me

I would normally ask you to provide a log cat over adb but as you don't have usb you need to do it differently. Install Catlog from the playstore and see if it detects anything when you plug it into your PC.
Which kernel did you choose when you installed CROMi-X?

Please help me unbrick!

Hi guys
So my uncle has asked me to unbrick his phone for him. One day it just wouldn't turn on apparently. When I received it from him, the Samsung logo would pop up, recovery mode was not accessible, but I could get into download mode
I followed this tutorial: http://www.theandroidsoul.com/unbrick-restore-samsung-galaxy-note-gt-n7000/
but the flash failed, and now I can get no life from it at all.
In the mean time I am waiting for a JIg to arrive from eBay, but how should I go about fixing it when it does arrive- this seems to be a hard/dead brick.
Thanks, would appreciate any advice!

I did not screenshot anything at the time, but I believe it simply said "flash failed" or something to that effect.
Read somewhere that if I put the battery in a freezer, that would charge it up (to check if the phone is simply out of battery)
This true?

- I don't really see why it matters, that I did not know to record the exact message. The point is the phone isn't turning on and I wanted to know if there is anything I can do - I assume it is because the flash failed but I can't be certain.

[Q] [help needed urgent] stuck at boot

Hello ...
Ok, I made a big bull****:
I was trying to restore /system in cwm and it wasn't working (error). Then I tried to format before making it and no success.
And then I rebooted ! And obviously I lost the recoveries.
I'm now with a nice SONY logo and red light
What do I do ? Any tuto ?
My bootloader is locked
thanks
An other problem is that it does not want to turn off. The battery will end ... [ok, it's off now, very long press to reset button]
Also, I had to made a restore after a bootloop. And the bootloop ocurred after a very few modifications in /system:
- in build.prop : hdmi.enable=0
- 1 app added
So, is it possible that this option in build.prop cause a bootloop ?
After writing to /system I take care to make a "sync" command and to put back partition in read-only, so I don't think it was due do a FS corruption.
Any tip about this ?
And is there a way to restore only /system from flashboot ?
But I'm using 207 firmware and there is no .tft file ....
help please !
If someone can answer my question here, it's related ...
