[Q] USB not working anymore ! - Asus Transformer TF701

Hi guys, I've been waiting for a custom Rom for this device.
I recently installed C-ROM final ( and all the needed stuff ) onto it, but now, no USB connection to Windows Computer can be done.
The device seems to be no more recognized. So my question is, did I missed something ? Should I install another driver to get things back to normal ?
Thanks in advance for to those who will take a lil bit of their time to answer me

I would normally ask you to provide a log cat over adb but as you don't have usb you need to do it differently. Install Catlog from the playstore and see if it detects anything when you plug it into your PC.
Which kernel did you choose when you installed CROMi-X?

Ok I have done it. On the log I can see that "mUSBOnline" is always equal to = false...
Is there a way to definitely change these value to get USB available ?
From a kernel pov, I choosed the "modded stock" one!

[Ref] Remove the yellow triangle without a JIG

I learned this from ookba but I didn't see it anywhere so I am sharing it in case someone else needs it sorry if it was posted before.
you need
1) InitialCFRootFlasher.zip from Chainfiire you can get it here
2) A stock kernel zImage: you can download any stock kernel and extract the zImage from it. I have attached a copy of a rooted XXKKA stock kernel I have backed up from my device
Simply flash the stock kernel image using Chainfiire tools and the triangle is gone.
You can then use the same tool to flash any other kernel you want and the triangle will not show again.
Kudos to Chainfiire for all his work and to ookba for saving my .... last night
N.B.: This will not reset the counter only remove the triangle
Cant believe it was so easy!!!
Thnax a lot for share
Thx for that !!
Thanks for sharing. Very useful.
Cheers
Darius

I have no means of checking the counter but my guess is that no triangle = 0 counter but I might be wrong.
Any way too check the counter?

Yes there is a way. shut down your phone. Then go to download mode (Press volu down+ menu+power button) together and hold until a warning sign appears. Don't panic at this moment. release all the three buttons now and just follow instruction by pressing the volume up button. You will be able to see if the counter has increased or not. Please od it and let us know if the counter get 0. All the best buddy
Thanks for the tip
No it does not reset the counter, it just removes the yellow triangle my custom binary count is set to 3 but it shows the current binary as samsung official.

which sdk did you download and install? The adt bundle or just the sdk? The reason I'm asking if you install the sdk in a directory then change the path by moving it from the downloads folder it wont work.
my path is
C:/Downloads/adt-bundle-windows-x86_64/adt-bundle-windows-x86_64/sdk/platform-tools
also if you installed the sdk without administrator privledges it could cause adb not to work.
uninstall the sdk and right click on the setup file and select "run as administrator"
and see if that works
I'll give it a try, thanks

good news is your adb on computer is set up correctly.
bad news is either the rom or your phone is not seeing the usb cable connected.
Try a different rom and see if you have the same result.
Also if you have twrp for a recovery try to see if you can sideload a rom.
Damn it!
now i have to flash 8.0 from TrickDroid...
Hope 8.0 brings this feature!

LCD broke and USB debugging off

I need help with this desperately, so please bear with me.
For some reason my USB debugging was turned off. I dropped my phone about a foot onto wood floor with a case and the LCD broke. Phone still works as I'm getting notifications and connects to my PC.
Won't show the files because USB debugging is off.
Pretty sure I can't get a cable and hook it up to my TV because its not supported without rooting or without downloading an app which I cannot do, obviously.
So am I done for or is there a way to help me?
I saw somethings here and there but nothing was really detailed or what to do if USB debugging was not enabled.
Please help me!
Thanks.
EDIT: I have not tried recovery mode yet because the phone still has a charge and I'm not sure if that will work anyway

There is no LCD on this phone
So what are you trying to do? Get the files off your phone? Please can you answer the questions below?
- Is the bootloader unlocked?
- Is the device encrypted?
- Does the device have a screen lock?
Device is working properly and it does not have a screen lock.
I just need to access the file that are on the phone

Not sure about the other 2. It's a stock Nexus 6.
When I plug the phone into the computer it says 'no files' which is because usb debugging is off.
So how would I be able to get the files off the phone?
If its on marshmallow, it will be because the default menu option is USB for charging not MTP transfer.
Have you got twrp? Could try and mount the partition for data, not sure if its possible without a working screen though!

No, you need USB debugging for everything except browsing the files, but as mentioned on Marshmallow when you plug a device in, there is a notification you have to select to allow you to set it to allow that.
If touch works, you might be able to do it, with some guidence / screenshots from Marshmallow userrs.

I dont think its the driver problem. The might be the USB code running on the phone is failing. I was unable to find driver(INF file with VID and PID) for LEECO Le 2(You can find PID/VID using USBVIEW). Suggest to use AIRDROID or SHAREIT that is if your WIFI is working Or USB OTG(I thing you have thought this).

Yes but im just confused about 1 thing i even did factory reset and even full wipe and flash on my le2 and also usb works well in fastboot mode. So i can't figure out what's the problem.....
And also i would have got the driver INF file
But the phone is just giving no driver to my pc
And pc says device descriptor request failed. So means pc can't even identify phone. so how can i get the pid or vid cause i dont even have any drivers....
And share it or airdroid wont work for me as my pc doesn't have a wifi card
So rerouting file thru my modem would be very slow for transferring file of more than 10 gb size. So it would take hours maybe for that
So only solution i have now if usb not solved is to buy a new usb otg cable as my old one got ripped. So if i dont get any solution within a few days, then thats my only option :crying:
