Can anybody tell what is changed in this rom ? i know this is 2.3.4, but are there any crucial changes ?

So if you're bootlocked you can't have root in this new firmware?

yes but you have to flash the img file with fastboot

I think you should use the arc s firmware.
This firmware is for arc.

Its actually lot of bugfixes from ICS in JB. And as cyanogenmod team said in one post at their google+: the devices who can run ICS are very likely to be able to run JB too But lets se what nAa will said when he sees the source

Still not finished developing ICS, I doubt you see a port of JB, at least for now

Kernel installation does not affect the apps and games!

Yes it is latest Kernel of .587...i've alredy mentioned on my post.

Where did you get the source? It isn't on http://developer.sonymobile.com/wportal/devworld/search-downloads/opensource yet.

i root my mobile with kernel .562 then update the kernel with .587 i made my own kernel from the downloaded files when i updated and i have the root , but still can see in pc companion there is update to .587 i don't know why

I wish there will be a .587 kernel for Arc (Lt15) soon with OC :good:

This kernel works nicely with JJs ROM.
Also, I compared your ramdisk with the ramdisk of stock kernel by TheGreatSega, and in my opinion you did the better job. Thanks a lot!

I remember the dev said overclock is NOT available in that kernel
You may see in features list overclocking but its actually you cant do that

Although Antutu is said to be unreliable on KK: What did you do? Removed all non-essential apps from startup? Jerked both processors up to + 1 step? Overvoltage?

I did my usual benchmark setup:
- Force close all running apps and apps in cache
- Change both cpu cores' governors to performance and force cpu1 online
- Overclock both cores to 1620MHz
Nothing else.
This is all my kernel. :good:
I get regularly minimum 18k with NEO-1.2.0 that way.
That's why I had to post this screenshot so some people dont think my rom was slow or something.
