Mugen 1500 mAh battery? - HD7 Accessories

Has anyone tried this battery for the HD7? If so, is it any better than the stock one?
mugen-power-batteries.com/mugen-power-1300mah-extended-battery-for-htc-hd7-t-mobile-9292.html

Hi.
Ordered yesterday, shipped today.
It will take approximately 10 days, so we have to wait for a response.
Paid 32€ (free shipping via Registered Air Mail and a little discount code found via google).
See you soon, I hope
Marco

Well refer to this , mugen is not really 1500 mah.
Htc original batteries have a charge limitation. It charges only to 80%!
Mugen does not
So mugen lasts 20% extra , but still 1230 mah

OK, here we are.
The battery arrived about a week ago.
Until now I did 6-7 charges; only one (the second I guess) from a fully discharged condition.
The verdict: I would not say that the battery is worth its price; HD7 has gained about 2 hours of extra battery life (compared with the "original" 24 continuative hours, obtained with the 1yr old original battery).
NOTE: i'm using the HD7 with cooked ROMs (Deepshining and Nextgen+).
Bye, Marco.

New Battery

hello everyone,
i am planning to buy a new battery for my O2 XDA II but i was just wondering whether it will make any difference in the total running time? my device currently runs for two days with normal usage.
and on average how much does a new battery cost? it is $15.9(australian) on ebay.
thanks for replies in advance
im am using this battery for my XDA, it is larger, and with bigger capacity, note that the origina battery has 1200 mAh capacity, this has 3600 mAh. it really extended the usag time of the XDA, altough it is now BIG to look at.
http://cgi.ebay.ph/3600mAh-Battery-for-O2-XDA-II-IIi_W0QQitemZ200277754970QQihZ010QQcategoryZ38329QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262
two days with old battery and normal use is not bad at all.
There are several sellers of 1800, 2400 and 3600 mAh batteries. Because of bad experience with "original Minolta" batteries on Ebay I'd prefer buying from shops that have a reputation to loose.
Ebay feedback is unreliable. Buyers can only give feedback based on if they received the goods and if the goods look like the description. Plus giving negative feedback almost in every case leads to getting negative feedback as well. The seller who sold me fake minolta batteries had 50,000+ feedback, 98% positive. The batteries looked genuine and performed well for over a month. One month later his negative feedback started to increase, he never answered my warranty claims, next month his account was gone.
Battery??
can anyone tell me approx. how long would a new battery last on a hima?
1200 mAh? 1400mAh? 3600mAh?
actually no, nobody can. It highly depends on your personal use, the software you use but most of all:
-the time per day your LCD/Backlight are on
-the brightness settings of your LCD
-how often do you turn it on/off per day
-is IR on or off or on for some time per day
-is bluetooth """""
-how often do you recharge and do you recharge till max capacity
-the quality of your charger
-Do you use it in combination with other hardware like headphone, thumb keyboard...
and so on. It might depend on the radio version that's never been fully studied in this forum AFAIK
but to compare mAh capacity is simple math. If 1200 mAh lasts 3 days, 3600 mAh should last 9 days in the same device with the same use.
Unreliable manufacturers exaggerate capacity.
hi, im a very heavy user, meaning my xda is almost always turned on for i am using unlimited texting feature of my phone, my average text per day is around 400 text messages and 30 minutes of calls per day. my battery (3600mAh) starts at 99% after 24 hours, it may have 25% left, good for another 4 hours use. Please take note that my phone rests for 8-9 hours as i sleep anyways, so continuous use of the 3600mAh batt may be 20 hours CONTINUOUSLY, my backlight is set to minimum and im using WM6.1 OS.
note that with my old 1200mAh batt and my heavy use, the old batt wont last 1 day.
also, im not an ebay seller, i just gave you that link as i had no problem with that seller.
sounds indeed like a good battery, so a good seller. I'm very proud that it takes me 4 hours to completely drain my old 1200 mAh. 5x as much from a new 3600 mah... I guess I'll have to order one...
please also take note that new batteries needs a couple of charge/drain/charge cycles before you will see the effect its large capacity. so give it 2 charge / drain cycles before you evaluate how good it is for you.
@paulpax
Liked the E-bay linked; I'm intersted. Too bad it's E-bay, if only I can communicate with the seller in some other way...
that seller has a phone number in his ebay store, i use that number to contact him when i make my orders, to date my orders have been, 1-3600mAh XDA2 battery, 1-700mAH Tanager Battery, and 1-Canon IXUS battery.
thanks.

Extended Battery; Same form factor

Is there a battery available for the HD2 with greater capacity than the stock unit, that fits in the same battery slot? I'd like to upgrade without having to replace the back cover or use a bulky addon.
I purchased an Andida 1600mAh battery on eBay about two months ago. It has a six (6) month warranty, and fits my HD2 US version without any problems.
So far, I've been happy with it. It lasted through an entire round (4.5 hours) of golf yesterday powering the GolfLogix GPS application, and for me it routinely lasts several hours or more longer than the T-Mobile US stock battery.

I got one of these and it lasts longer than the stock battery by quite a while, but again ebay so buyer beware ....
Can you direct me to a link to the battery?

Sorry, I can't provide a link. eBay only shows purchases won over the past 60 days, and I bought my battery prior to that. However, I did save the battery's packaging. The website for Andida is:
http://www.andida.hk
The ID number for my battery is: GB/T 18287-2000, if that helps.

Is 1600mAh the largest battery available without changing the back panel?
Screen shots of the "official" extended battery with the kickstand make it very unappealing. Before I switched out of my Dash, I bought a replacement battery at Radio Shack. Same size, but better specs - 1100 mAh instead of the stock 900 mAh. Nice improvement. Been checking RS online, nothing yet.

I went to the ebay link for the 1600mah battery (that the WATCHER posted)... when I looked at the pic posted for the auction it shows a 1450mah battery.. can you confirm that you received a 1600mah battery (PICS PLEASE?!!?)

The one I got is a 1600mah, looks just like that one, except it says 1600mah
i also purchased the same andida battery from hong kong via ebay. increase in battery life was noticeable but not by that much. however, the battery is quite a steal in terms of pricing considering you need a backup or second battery.
I have a different perspective on these extended batteries: I actually prefer the one that adds to the overall device thickness! I have always been concerned about these very thin devices - you can easily crack the display. An extended battery gives the HD2 more robustness.

Not really, its more heavier now. Meaning, it can have more potential to break lol.

Eager to read your results with this one, just might be the battery I go with.
Only took 7 days to receive. Fits fine, works fine. After 2-3 charging cycles (as was stated on the eBay page), I'm clearly getting more charge time from this battery than the stock battery.
Plus, you get a nice little tin case
10 bucks, free shipping, you can't go wrong.

Battery Suggestion

I am planning to get one spare battery for the HD2.. now in dilemma to which battery i should get..

first one is 1600mah and the second 1230 mah... both are cheap duplicate batteries, first one says 1600mah but i am damn sure it's just false info, so at-least if the first one is definitely going to give some extra juice i can buy the first one, if not i would rather buy the second one.. please let me know if the 1600mah is worth buying and does it give the extra juice?
buy original one
i bought one two days ago and it lasts like 1.5 times longer.
for some reason they dont have same htc innovation logo on top, new one has HTC and it feels little tighter.
from yesterday 10pm new battery has drained 28% while old one would be near death. about 7-8 hours active use from 19hours.

Mugen Power 1800mAh battery for htc mozart

Just started using a mugen power extended battery and am getting a lot more use out of the handset, haven't cycled it the recommended 5 times either, so expecting a little more juice as time goes on!Recommended!
Hi judd5000
Good to hear !
I have ordered the 1800 mAh battery from Mugen, hope it will arrive soon.
As soon as I get it performing properly after the correct cycles, I will post my feedback along with phone settings used.
cyb0tr0n
i hope this battery would fix the problem of original battery
I got mine yesterday - even the residual power in it got me through a whole night with GPS on and two email accounts checking once an hour. So far today after first full charge the battery has dropped a little since this morning but is still at about 80% and has been so for at least 2 hours. This is with light to medium use, though I did go out for an hour or so and had to switch from wi-fi to 3G, and I live in a terrible signal area that kills batteries, so so far I'm impressed. If it improves even more with a few more conditioning cycles I think 2 days will be within reach.
Also, and why this would be I have no idea, I seem to have a slightly better signal reception too. This is probably coincidence though, so don't take too much notice of it!
Is this the same size as the original battery or is it bigger? If so do you need a new back cover?

exactly the same size
Got just over 30 hours from mine today with light to moderate use, mainly on WiFi but in a bad signal area. And that's just the first charge/discharge cycle so there's more to come. Impressed!
OK, final verdict - the Mugen 1800 mAh battery is much better than the 1300 mAh stock battery and well worth the investment. Once properly conditioned, 24 hours with moderate to heavy use was easily done (GPS on, 2 email accounts on hourly check, an hour or so of newsgroup reading, 1/2 an hour of gaming, an hour or so of web browsing, 1/2 an hour or so on the marketplace, a fair bit of texting and a 20-min phone call in a bad signal area). With fairly light use (email accounts on manual, a few texts, just the occasional 5-min check of Twitter/Facebook and brief web browsing), I've managed over 40 hours and I suspect 2 days is well within possible - I tend to leave GPS on out of habit and have brightness on auto. Knock the GPS off and have brightness on low and that'd save a bit more again.
Obviously having a smartphone you don't use a lot of the functions of isn't ideal, but if you go away for a long weekend and forget your charger, it's good to know you can make it through (if you have the right battery!).
just ordered one.
How much is it?

Is there a way to get a performance comparison between the Mugen battery and this GOLD 2430MAH Japanese one? Thanks
2430mah? so almost DOUBLE the capacity of the original battery, but the same size?!
That's actually physically impossible. If you're lucky this fake "Gold" battery is 1600-1800mah.
50% better than original...

I am afraid all these batteries are produced in Asia, Mugen included. If we assume the Japanese one is truly Japanese, perhaps this latter is better, but I doubt it, due to its unrealistic capacity.
Given the obvious environmental concerns related to the manufacture of batteries in China, I certainly prefer to wait until some good alternative is provided by a German company (usually very efficient in these jobs). ATM there's nothing convincing on ebay and amazon.
If you are in Europe this involves in addition having batteries shipped within the EC and no extra customs' costs!

Galaxy Exhibit Extended Battery - 2900 mAh

So I decided to buy this extended battery. Its for the Galaxy W, but it fits the Exhibit as well. Comes with a case and usb cable. The phone wasn't as thick as I thought it would be, its about double thickness. Only downside is that it is very smooth, not tactile grip. It took about 2.5 weeks to get here from China. I thought I would post some data from the first 24 hrs.
Almost 2.5 hrs of screen time which was mostly browsing, and maybe 15 mins of gaming. I also tethered to my laptop for nearly 3 hours. I still have 50% of the battery left! I have to say this battery is quite good. :victory:
I am using CM10, I found it has better battery life over the other roms.
36 Hour Update
Nearly 3.5 hrs of screen time, over 36 hours with 38% battery still left! Total usage so far was light browsing (reddit sync), 20-25 mins of games, 3 hours of tethering, 2 phone calls, and push notifications (sports scores).
I've had this battery for a few months now. In fact, my phone has been on standby for 50 continuous days with this battery (it's sitting at about 40 percent remaining)! It's a great buy for those desperately needing a day or two of power.

Hey can you post a picture of the phone itself maybe next to a ruler or something? Does the case fit on perfectly? (since its made for the W)
Thanks

I purchased this battery. I test with nova battery tester to compare with my old 1500 mah i had since 15 month. It give me maybe 30% more power.... ( 1500 mah * 1.30 =1950mah) but.. 2 week later my old battery died (my phone close at 30%) it possible my old battery had less power than 1500 mah....
After that i don't think this battery is better than a stock 1500 mah or maybe i receive a fake 2450 mah... and it really possible to have a 2450 gold battery with a other seller.
Yea so my battery came a couple of days ago... im pretty sure i got ripped off; it performs just like the stock battery so im assuming all they did was put a different sticker on it...
