Hey guys! After getting lots of great responses and feedbacks for my SenseDroid and ARCDroid build. I had decided to make my third custom build which I called it TwizDroid.
TwizDroid is based on my SenseDroid build, and this build give you a TouchWiz- like UI, while having all the great features from SenseDroid
*Features:
- Wifi Tether
- Stable Wifi signal
- TouchWiz-like theme
- FULL Arabic support
- GPS working perfectly
- Video playback perfect
- Good battery performance
- Fast and smooth CWM Froyo build
- Fully call function ( Call and Receive )
- You can uninstall system apps which are safe to remove
- Able to install any apps (Won't show you 'Not Compatible')

*For your information:
- Youtube can only play non-HQ video
- System will be slower when first time boot into Android:
- Open all apps, sync your phone with Google, then reboot your phone
- The launcher don't have any wallpaper, simply change it to your own wallpaper
- To arrange the icon on the dock, go into drawer, press Menu key > Edit, long press on the app icon and then drag it
- I will including two different version starting from V2 which was using EXT2 or EXT3 system
-Wifi Tether:
1. Install and then launch Wifi-Tether
2. Go to "Settings".
3. Then go to "Change Device-Profile" and choose HTC Desire (GSM) and start tethering.
4. Without stop tethering go again to "Settings> Change Device-Profile> and choose HTC Dream.
5. Now stop tethering and start again.

- Market Problem ('Apps not compatible'):
- Go to Settings > Applications > Manage applications > All > Market > 'Clear Data' and then 'Uninstall updates'
- Disable Market Updater:
---> Download Terminal Emulator from the Market
---> Type the following command in the terminal emulator:
---> su *PRESS ENTER*
---> pm disable com.android.vending.updater *PRESS ENTER AGAIN*

*Important:
- First time boot into Android, go to Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > uncheck 'Data Enabled'. VERY IMPORTANT
- DO NOT install GAPPS directly after finish installing the build or else you will get a serious problem
- NEVER try to sync your phone with Google before installing GAPPS or else you will get serious problem
- Wifi have to switch on before booting Android or else you will get error message
- Silent the phone before booting Android so that you will have sound in Android
- Charge your phone before booting Android so that you can charge your phone in Android
- Go to Setting > Location & Security > Check 'Use wireless networks' so that you can use your GPS
*Installing Instructions:
1. Format SDcard To 4 Partitions :
- 1st partition: FAT32 (SDcard / Rest)
- 2nd partition: EXT3 (System / about 150 MB )
- 3rd partition: EXT3 (Data / about 250 MB)
- 4th partition: EXT3 (Cache / about 100 MB)
* Make sure all partitions are set to PRIMARY
* If you are using TwizDroid EXT2 version then format the three partitions as EXT2
2. Extract the Package then copy [npkboot] folder to root of SDcard
3. Copy [TwizDroid V2.zip] to root of SDcard without extraction
4. Run Haret and wait until the screen show 'Press Volume Down shortly To Launch ClockworkMod Recovery', press Volume Down button
5. While In Recovery menu, choose " install zip from SD card >> choose zip from sdcard >> select 'TwizDroid V2.zip'
6. After finish installing the build, return to main menu >> Reboot phone
7. Run Haret, this time let the phone boot into Android completely. After that, reboot your phone
8. Run Haret, go into CWM Recovery, choose " install zip from SD card >> choose zip from sdcard >> select 'TwizDroid GAPPS.zip'
9. After finish install, reboot phone
10. Run HARET and leave it to continue booting into Android, you are done

Hi Jerry, can you confirm the battery charging status? I've plugged in the charger but don't see it charging. I've tested plugging the charger in WinMo and then booting into TwizDroid and the result is ok!

I'm using Turbo kernel in this build, so it will have the charging problem if you dint plug in charger before booting Android. If you want to change kernel with fully working charging then you can change Midnight's kernel or XDAndroid's kernel.
About the battery life, I can't really test it properly due to my old battery.. (fully discharge too much while running Android before)

3. More free memory (116 MB)
4. Battery life seems to be a bit better
5. Faster unlock screen and gallery
Not working for me:
- network location (via GPRS network) in maps
- Angry birds crash to launcher

I've tried the rom and I have a doubt. Have you noticed that Market (old versión) continue updating despite of disable the updater? I couldn't check it in the new version because it's the last. It is so strange.
On the other hand, I had a problem between v3.3.11 and wifi. The new version disable the wifi interface and you have to turn on again to download anything from the Market.

The older version of Market should not have any problem with disabling the updater, I had tested by my own and no problem with it.
The latest Market had a interference with the Wifi, sometimes is because you are downloading too many apps at once, but anyway I think this is the reason you had change back your Market in GoDroid to v2.12 am I right?

Key freezing is caused by the kernel, you can change to another kernel like Midnight's kernel or XDAndroid's kernel

Update: if screen stuck on Haret after it vibrates ... just simply go into the npkboot file and then start-up and change the value to this " freq_khz=614000 "

Hey guys, I'm proud to present to you all my second custom Android build, I call it ARCDroid.
This build is based on my first Android build SenseDroid, and heavily themed by me to make it Xperia Arc-like style.
*What's in the build:
-TimeScape
- Track ID
- Wifi Tether
- FULL Arabic support
- Xperia Arc-like theme
- Xperia Arc style lock screen
- Xperia Arc Widgets and stuff
- All the features that have in SenseDroid
*For your information:
- Youtube can only play non-HQ video
- System will be slower when first time boot into Android:
- Open all apps, then reboot your phone
- TimeScape widget is working, BUT the TimeScape app in app drawer is not working. However you still can connect Timescape with Facebook and Twitter
- I will using EXT3 system starting from V5
*Important:
- First time boot into Android, go to 'Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > uncheck Data Enabled'. VERY IMPORTANT
- DO NOT install GAPPS directly after finish installing the build or else you will get a serious problem
- NEVER try to sync your phone with Google before installing GAPPS or else you will get serious problem

it's just sooo freaky, I really really really love this, I said maybe ill buy Arc S but now I have time to wait for a newer device from sony ericsson, I think i'll be waiting CES 2012 to decide what new to buy (yep my x1 slowly goes 3years old =D )

I myself will never buy Sony Ericsson product in my life.
Okay I've been a faithful user of Sony Ericsson but after several problems in my X1, P900, P1i, X2 and Aspen, top of it they refused my warranty card on X1, very bad customer service, they are too dumb, maybe I'm waiting for Nokia Searay or Nokia Android...

lol for never had problem with previous SE phones
and for my x1, from when I got it till the end of warranty, I did break it 4times and of 4 times they gave me a brand new one 3 times, even when it got 2days warranty left so after 2 years I had a brand new X1 just at the finish of warranty
EDIT: oh btw I stilll cannot answer calls (and when I answer with hardkey I have to turn speaker on/off ton hear something)

As some of you know, several few days ago, i have put an efforts to port Miuiv4 to our device. I'm not a developer, just doing some simple mods but i'm dying to see miuiv4 to run in our device and to see how other device that have similiar hardwares with our legend have motivate me. Now, i have fixed most of the issue and given permissions to share it with you all.

1. Download the ROM zip file

4. Do backup (MUST!)
5. FORMAT /boot, /system, /cache, /data if do clean installation. Skip if want to flash on top of 2.7.6
6. Flash the ROM

Issues+Hints (2.9.21)
1. When applying theme, statusbar doesn't get themed completely, you need to reboot after that
2. When applying statusbar Mod from Miui Toolbox, your statusbar will disappear for a while and your phone seems hang, let it until your phone self reboot.
3. Be sure to clear RAM (long press home button) after do multitasking to avoid random reboot.
4. Total size of internal memory in Settings -> About is not correct.
5. Cursor in composing text for sms is not clearly visible in portrait mode.

1st time boot, it will look weird. Press menu button -> Launcher settings, change grid layout type to 4x4.
Turn off icon shadow to save RAM.
7. Miapps
Backup app is removed from ROM. If you need it, take the apk files attached and push both of it to /system/app/
8. If you keep facing issue after rebooting phone, freeze/remove LBE Guard using titanium backup or using root explorer, it is problematic miapps. I should remove it from ROM by default.

Hints:
A. Turn off animation and set background process limit to "at most 4 processes" in developer options for better performance.Turn off "show rounded corners also might help a little.
B. If you get an annoying popup every time you reboot that saying "export internal data to sd card" as per screenshot below,
this will happen when you try to open Themes while your sdcard still not fully mounted.
To fix it,
1. open root explorer
2. go to /data/sdcard/
3. there will be one empty folder named MIUI (make sure it is really empty first)
4. delete it.
you also can do it via recovery
1. adb shell
2. cd /data/sdcard/
3. rm -r MIUI
now that annoying pop up wont appear again
Change dpi
1. Use root explorer or adb
-from root explorer, go to /system/
-mount r/w
-edit in text editor build.prop
-find ro.sf.lcd_density = 133
-change to 132, or default 160 or whatever value that you prefered
-save changes
-reboot

Camera
If camera hang/freezed, go to Settings -> apps -> all, clear data for camera. 1st time launch will take a while. Be patient.
Attached are the Miui Camera. Install as normal app. Load faster but panoramic mode is not working. Upon launching it, turn it off (panoramic mode) from setting.

Some issue with updater script. maybe got some intermittances during upload. reuploading again now. so sorry..
The differences are some bugs especially graphics glitches are fixed, supersu fully working, ics control panel added and some other things.
Edit: actually that ROM you asked is mine; my initial build.
Link is up in post #2.. I have reupload, then try to download and install it myself, confirm okay now.. enjoy..

Did you wipe data before install? I can confirm it is working fine with me. Try clear data for play store and google services framework.
If you didnt like the custom dpi, how if i create one with normal dpi and normal play store. Anyone want it?

Anyone that want to use miui gallery, it is not perfectly scalled for dpi i set. You might want to try to set dpi to 132, can confirm it is better at that dpi. or use cm stock gallery. When i come back from leave, i will attach the apk.

I think i can pull some lang files from cm for other language but i don't know how for other apk that have been completely translated inside the apk inside as what i have done for miui gb previously. Anyone can help on this matter? Credits will be given to you of course and i will add your name into the logo that you saw in settings -> about phones to show my appreciation to you for helping..

3.Unlocked Bootloader
- TUTORIAL -
Download & Install Google (LINK) and Samsung USB drivers (LINK).
Enable USB Debugging in your device’s settings [Settings > Developer Settings > USB Debugging].
Download & Extract the NexusS_files.zip to the desktop.
Turn off your device. Hold volume up on the device and press Power Button until you see the bootloader screen.
Connect your device to the PC via the USB data cable.
Open the extracted folder "NSFiles" that we have have on the desktop. On an empty space inside the folder, Press Shift & Right Click and then select "Open command prompt here".
Type in CMD:Code:
fastboot oem unlock
You will now receive a message on the screen. Use the volume keys to highlight "Yes" and select it using the power button.
Your bootloader is now unlocked.
Highlight and select "Reboot" to reboot your device.
You have successfully unlocked your Nexus S bootloader.
4.Root
- TUTORIAL -
Download & Copy UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.32.zip on your device.
Turn off your device. Hold volume up on the device and press Power Button. Highlight"RECOVERY" using the volume buttons and select it using the power button.
Select [install zip from sdcard]→[choose zip from sdcard]→[UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.32.zip] → [YES]
Wait flash finished, press Back and select reboot system now [], the phone going to automatically restart.
5.Flash Recovery
- TUTORIAL -
Solution 1 - CWM Recovery
1.)Download CWM Recovery or Touch CWM Recovery
2.)Enter Bootloader mode .
Turn off your device. Hold volume up on the device and press Power Button. The device will now be in bootloader mode.
3.)Run the following command via the command line:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-6.0.3.1-crespo.img
Solution 2 - TWRP Recovery
1.)Download TWRP Recovery
2.)Enter Bootloader mode .
Turn off your device. Hold volume up on the device and press Power Button. The device will now be in bootloader mode.
3.)Run the following command via the command line:

Solution 3 - MIUI Recovery
1.)Download attached MIUI Recovery
2.)Enter Bootloader mode .

- If you have "assert failed" error during flashing rom you can fix it easy by on this way:
Open the zip file with 7zip. go to META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script drag it to your windows explorer (or other programs). open it with notepad :

Miui V5 For Crespo is JZO54k 4.12 Jellybean.
Only Miui For Galaxy Nexus is 4.2.2.

thats the problem with all MIUI ICS/JB roms...The only MIUI that wasnt laggy was GB based

I flashed last buid ... i'm very surprised, last V4 was unusable, this one so far is performing quite good, is smooth, games run fine ( tried temple run, fruita ninja and candy crush saga ) everything works ... for the first time i'm really thinking of using this rom ... i'm still on stock kernel, in some days i'll try marmite.
im surprised... i never though of using miui rom as my daily driver but here i am using miui from gingerbread nexusmv.. kudos~ its a good built, smooth and everything is working fine with marmite kernel

yeah i agree, i'm using it with devil now and works good. I really like all the security function it integrates, like per app password, ability to choose wich app can access the internet making distinction between mobile and wi fi ... i'd like just a pair of option wich lack, like the wifiAP on quick settings, non working 2g/3g switcher, editable lockscreen shortcut, possibility to turn off the bln ( i do it using nstools but would be nice to be native )
i don't understand what on battery option does the consumption modality, it doesn't ask for root permission so i don't thnk it works on kernel ... so what does it do ??

The rom is already odexed..and yes..you can use stock Systemui.apk deleting my SystemUI.apk and SystemUI.odex..

Man, Your works are great. It's pretty amazing that you have created this rom using Erickas 9.2. I will test it right away. The only thing is that I will have to install the google search, radio and gtalk

BBM won't work on mini,as the app is meant to work only on armv7 devices. It is not the problem of any rom.

I downloaded ur rom but unfortubately the phone hangef every time on the second boot. In fact i removed s2e and mountsd script thru root manager and also removed odex file of s2e so that i could use int2ext script. But no luck till now. Your rom actually is very promising and would be a milestone in 9.2 roms. Can you look into this and advise?

Try a new flash..I have not this probem..
Not try homemade remedies..why have you deleted odex file of s2e? If you inot activated (by clicking on the icon and providing root permissions) does not work .. so it can not cause problems ..

USB mass storage doesn't work.. is this cm 9.2 bug? because once I've used cm9.2 based rom and face the same problem.. is there a way to fix it?
maybe try another USB slot on your computer. It works fine with my system (Laptop Ubuntu 13.10).

I think its the problem of cm9.2 because this's happened to me. But if u dont want change ur rom i have this way to copy ur file to sd card: boot to recovery,go to advance and mount ur sd card.this is my way.hope can help u.cheer!
USB mass storage works
when u connect phone via usb
go in settings>>storage
just tap on menu button usb options>>tick on mass storage

There are two reason, I am integrating useful Apps as User/System Apps.
When integrated as system Apps,
=> The Apps will be tested for compatibility and stability.
=> Your UserData partition will have more free memory, to play with.
When integrated as User Apps,
=> The Apps will be tested for compatibility and stability.
=> Which can be uninstalled, If so needed.
Hence no need to use custom MTD partition.
Note: All the Apps preinstalled in the ROM are checked, for any other Apps U want to install, try PLAYSTORE else do as per the guidelines:
1. ICS 4.0 released in October 2011 and final 4.0.4 was released in march 29 2012 and JellyBean released in June 2012. so any App/Game form November 2011 to June 2012 will work, because the apps where released with 4.0.+ compatibility.
2. don't update if the App/Game is working, else it may break.
3. So the best place for App/Game download is http://www.papktop.com/

What I have tested is good, smooth, and working !
Reason it is Beta because I need more testimony from XDA Dev and Users
Rom have serius lag and random reboots.. 70% of rom isn't translate and there are some FC. But the project is good, keep work :highfive:

There are a couple of roms that are a bit 'better, but for this to be a first beta is pretty good. in 10 minutes I had 2 reboots, and 1 at startup. For example then, I'm Italian, but even if you set the Italian language in the rom is not translated at all. I then had the FCs in the music player, camera and lockscreen. Hope this can help

I am using this rom from Past 2 days and I didn't had any reboots till now.
Did you wiped all, as mentioned in the install instruction.

Also format the BOOT partition, If U were using a rom. which had different Kernel than this.

There are 2 option, you may use for now:
1> As I am using Mobogenie management Application (Windows), It has a "file manage". Using It I can manage sdcard.
2> In recovery, U can use "Mount USB Storage".

If So, It will give a warnig that some Apps using it. If U unmount they will stop working !

Yes in options in phone,because i can`t usb storage connectting to pc.I know about some Apps stoped without sd,but reboot for that,it`s first time to saw that.In storage options there is a three choise ( one is to mount sd when connect to pc,but not working).
