[Request] iPhone keyboard - Nexus S Themes and Apps

Hi, is there a port of iphone keyboard for android (nexus s preferably)? Ive tried a lot of keyboards on mobile phones and the iphone one felt most comfortable. Im curretly using the htc one which is good, but not so much. So, is it somewhere?

Try ICS keyboard, suits me better than any other keyboard
https://market.android.com/details?...wxLDIxMiwiaW5wdXRtZXRob2QubGF0aW4ucG9ydGVkIl0.

Smart Keyboard has an iPhone skin.

When I went from iPhone to the Samsung captivate I really liked smart keyboard. Now I really like the GB jey board...the only complaint I have with the ics keyboard is the lack of a caps lock.

That's weird... I tried a couple of the ICS ROMs and I didn't notice. Then again... I don't often type in all caps. Maybe Google is trying to do us all a favor (if you're right), hehe

If you mean locking on all caps, then all you have to do is quickly double tap the up arrow twice

Why the iPhone keyboard? I personally hate it, doesnt work for me. One of the main reasons i sold my 3GS and got a Sensation back in the days. I use SwiftKey X and Swype, best keyboards ever.

Did you try 'Itap keyboard'? market.android.com/details?id=sixgreen.aos.itap

ICS keyboard for free,SwiftKey X for 2,99euro...

Slow down a bit haters. I hate apple and the iphone just as much as you folks. But I was an iphone guy at one point and. I. Have to admit the onscreen iphone kb is the best keyboard I have ever used. And I've tried them ALL. (currently using SwiftKey x) I was able to type on my iphone with my eyes closed.. Something I wasnt/still not able to do so far on my epic, evo and nexus. IMO gingerbread keyboard plus is as close as your going to get. The reason is because just like the iphone keyboard, you can remove the comma and period from your bottom row. Also the spacing between keys on the iphone keyboard is greater. Anywho, yes itap works. Be careful though. There's an iphone kb for android out there that logs your keystrokes :O

Yeah it does but remember he's on the browser, so the ".com" button is taking up some space too. I bet without it, it looks great

I saw this keyboard in action from my cousin's GS2 from Korea. It's insane. I can type on it all day at probably 95% accuracy. With my stock gingerbread keyboard, I'd be lucky to hit 80%
i really hope we can get a dev to port this for us NS4G users.
id really like to give it a try lol
Here's the link to the apk that i grabbed from somewhere else, i've pushed it to system/apps and changed permissions but not it's working, maybe it needs the touchwiz framework?

Anyone think getting a Bluetooth keyboard is necessary?

i find typing with 2 thumbs to be pretty convenient, actually. if not the 1 finger dab works, haha.
Probably not, unless you truly despise tapping on a virtual keyboard to type. Besides, the JB keyboard on the Nexus 7 is pretty nice.

I'm hoping someone rips off Microsoft's Surface Touch Cover/keyboard. Would be a nice compromise. While it's not a great keyboard since it has no key travel, it will avoid taking up screen real estate which is a nice upgrade over an onscreen keyboard. Would make it far more useful in a pinch as a terminal server client/remote support tool.

yes x100.
just tested my HP Touchpad bluetooth keyboard and it works great. no lag at all. just silly that the keyboard is bigger than the tablet. i could see it working great if you had to type stuff up on a plane or train or something. just need a case or something to prop the tablet up in landscape mode.

Most unique/different ROM

Hey guys i'm looking for a rom that is unique and not just nova/trebucht/apex launcher. Something really unique and different. I'm currently trying out miui.
MIUI on the Nexus 7... that is just an upscaled version of the same UI that you get on every phone that MIUI supports.
Other ROMs are also a no-go if you want something different, because all of them more or less use the same UI as AOSP.
You could try Paranoid Android, but somehow it was not really appealing, at least not to me.

there is nothing that's themed differently or different at all? Getting bored of the same layout. Although I think ubuntu fir N7 mobile version is releasing tomorrow.
Honestly, as a ROM junkie, I've just stuck with stock since there isn't really much of a compelling reason to change. Maybe just try a different launcher? I admit, I've loved MIUI on a phone, but have no desire to use it on a tablet unless it gets tabletified.

Are you happy with this phone?

Debating the S4 and Note 2 for my next upgrade.
Sent from my ADR6350 using xda app-developers app
I'm happy with mine. It's a learning curve coming off a long line of HTC phones, but the S4 is a great phone.
I've never used a Note 2, so can't comment on that.
I had a note 2 and at times I prefer a smaller phone. I tried the HTC One and it was to small. S4 seems just right. If you can might want to try and wait out for the Note 3.
Love since after the update just wish this keyboard was better. I like the stock keyboard but it is terrible to type on for me anyway.
Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 2
Try swiftkey. Its amazing.
As to the post this phone is amazing. Good battery life. Faster than the note 2. Very responsive. Overall its great. The stock keyboard is off but everything else is good.
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda premium
I had the same decision to make and overall, size of the phone made my final decision for me. I already have a Nexus 7 tablet and I just didn't see the point in having a 5.5" phone. 5" is probably the largest I'd ever want to go on a smart phone.
Overall I'm extremely happy. This is the first smart phone I've had where I'm in no rush to move away from stock.
Went from Single core ---> Dual core ---> Quad core. Oh yes, I'm very satisfied.
Really like the slim ROM and the KB that comes with it.

I've had both and while I'm really loving the S4 I definitely miss the larger screen of the Note II. I have small hands but I was starting to get comfortable with the size of the Note II when the S4 came out and I jumped ship.
Basically I'd say you can't go wrong with either.
I'm really liking this phone. It does come with quite a bit of bloat from Samsung and Sprint. I installed ForceROM 1.0 which has all of that gone. I upgraded from the E4GT and it's a HUGE difference. I love the 1080p screen and 1.9Ghz quad core. Tons of power in a little phone.

Yeah got pretty sick of my Galaxy S4 and it's mf3 update. Specs really don't matter to me as long as everything is stable. The only thing I'll really miss is the ir blaster. I debated on going to the htc one all the way up to the xperia z1. I'm just gonna wait. Can anyone recommend me some good roms? Something stable with features like Halo and Focal and all the good stuff? Well, HTC devices are very high quality, after you get past the carrier blocks to root, unlock bootloader, s-off and flash a custom rom, (aosp preferably because its always newer than sense).
But I'd rather get the updates first at the cost of a camera not being as good and ease of rooting.

I agree. HTC is my favorite when it comes to hardware. I've had the N1 and a One X+ from them. This is going to be my first LG. I know when Google works with companies on their Nexus phones they're usually top notch. My last one was a Galaxy Nexus and I was amazed by the build and it felt perfect in the hands. Yes, I think you are right, but as we commented in another thread the other day (the sony nexus concept phone) there are some brands who could never work with google to make THE NEXUS. They can make google editions, as samsung and htc did, but the nexus, in my opinion, has to be a cheaper phone, so sony and htc should be out of this game...

True but the fact that it boasts about waterproof, build quality and parts, gaming controller instigation for Ps3 and PS4 it's almost like they know how to build a sturdy tablet. Nexus 7 just has a popular dad and a reliable company which makes it popular.

I actually used it a lot. I would use it when I lost my remotes and got too lazy to look for them. At the sports bars to mess with my friends and some other random things. The funniest part of having it was when people would ask what app I used. Mainly iPhone users. Then i would have to explain it needs an ir blaster! Maybe the next iPhone will have them (not) lol
