[Q] Speaker is not loud compare to my ex i9000 - HTC Sensation XL

Hi guys
I just jump to XL family from i9000, I realize the speaker XL provide is not loud compare with my ex phone. I always getting missed call, is there any other way to solve this low speaker problem? Cheers

I know it might sound dumb but have you checked your ringer volume? Try different ringtones also there are some that sound better than others also try go to settings then sounds and uncheck quiet ring on pickup and check the option that says pocket mode that will increase ringtone sound while it is in your pocket... Hope that helps mate

Thanks for remind, I have set the volume to max and same ringtone play in i9000 is much louder than XL. Is anyone can fix this?

It's a hardware issue. It cannot be corrected as far as I'm aware.

I upgraded from a regular Sensation and I agree that the speaker isn't near as loud on the XL but there isn't any way to fix it that I know of.

Enable Beats software with all Players?

Hi. I'm really enjoying my comeback to Android OS after being forced to he with IO5 for a while now...anyway, I love my Sensation XL with its beats software and all but found the Combination of PoweAmp player and Beats is Astonishing Experience But sadly it will last only 5 minutes or so then the Beats software Disabled! This only happen when I play stock player then stop then I play PowerAmp and so on..!
My Question is there a way to Enable Beats software with all players in my Phone!? This will make my Beats Monster Rock harder than it is with the PowerAmp and Beats
Thanks in Advance

this is more of a question than development. why dont you try moving your thread to the general question site of this forum for XL?
hit Thanks button if you find your first comment useful.
This answer is more for developer to solve the puzzle

Well you could try installing either capys or bindroid roms as they have an option in the tweaks setting to enable beats software in all players or beats boost as its called but I'm guessing its the same sort of thing (correct me if I'm wrong)

Read the freakin stickys! Particularly mine .
If this ain't development, it doesn't belong here.
On that note, thread closed.

Download volume+ from market.

Or you can get poweramp and use the eq setting "speakerphone (loud) " gets better results than the two listed imo.
Thanks all...ill give these a try. Thought there may have been a way to alter it permanently in the hardware or something, but nevermind.

If it is more bad than it is from new, it can be dust in speaker, very often metal dust. Try clean it with an magnet, not a very strong one. Just drive it over the speaker area a few times. If it is not more bad than stock then I do not know what to do unfortunately. Also if it is more bad than stock perhaps speaker is damaged and need to be replaced?

Anyone else prefer Beats Audio OFF?

I find the sound clearer and crispier in my car with the beats off.
i guess u have problems with your hearing. just saying lol
i can, in every way, deny that audio is better with beats off.
UNLESS,
you're using a third party player
Maybe it's because you have the hissing background noice when beats is enabled. The 1.29 update fixed that (I guess, have notreceived it yet)
But in general, I don't think beats off is better than on.

Definitely sounds better with Beats On IMO. I had hissing audio until I turned NFC off. If I use it in my car through Bluetooth, I turn the Car Stereo EQ off and leave Beats on.
Hell no beats all the way
With speakers or earphones, i Think beats benefits the Sound...

hmm, could be my upgraded fender's bass not working well with beats...
I've noticed that the volume level is louder with beats disabled, but to my ears it definitely sounds better with beats enabled.
I find dance music sounds great with beats on but if you put on rock/indie music it's better to switch beats off I think it sounds better. I've downloaded pro player so I can have the sound that suits the music I'm listening to, much better imo.

I used to but beats in the HTC one is great.

referencing the speakers on the phone, with beats on, the sound is more full and stereo imaging is greatly improved. with beats off, i've noticed it's louder but a more harsh and tinny.

Just bought the phone... Please help me

The phone is excellent so far, but the sound is really low and not one equalizer is working. Can someone provide me with a working Equalizer for the HTC Vivid? I've tried Music Equalizer, Volume + and Equalizer.

None will work.. Audio on the htc vivid is a pain in the ass. If you're looking for an EQ for music use power amp

This doesn't work either.... Is there really not one app that can boost the audio of the vivid? Why is the speaker so damn low? Is there a custom rom out there with louder speakers for the vivid?

The only... And I mean only thing that ever worked... Was the beats toggle on the bone stock ROM...
And the bears toggle was the worst sounding thing... I always left it off

I got 2 Vivids (well, 1 Vivid and 1 Raider) and on both the sound is good on rooted stock ICS and on the Darkraider ROM.
I got no problems at all on phone or speaker volume.
