I haven't received it yet, but I've ordered one of these;
http://www.zenuscaseusa.com/Zenus-Ga...Rank=salesrank
Should protect damage from our igloos.
This is a good case maker if you like any of their styles.

I ordered the oem flip cover from a UK ebay seller (talklinesales). Took exactly 1 week to arrive my door, cost me less than $30.

Casemate Tough Case??

hello there. since I use smartphones, I always had tough case from casemate... is it coming soon or not? anyone knows??
My guess is that it will be out after the note 2 get released in America. Same will prob true with otterbox. That's what happened with the note 1 last year anyways

I got told by case mate (office in ireland) that cases are in production and should be available in Nov some time..jeeesss all they have to do is stretch the note 1 case alittle hardly a big undertake!

It's all about getting ready for the US market....most of them don't really care about the international market...same with otterbox last year with the note 1

They're out now, but they're $40!!!
http://www.case-mate.com//samsung-g...se-mate-samsung-galaxy-note-2-tough-cases.asp
Check out our main review page for this case: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2104132
Also, you can use VDAY30 coupon to get 30% off the case price. Or try calling them up and asking if you can still use FRIENDS50 to get 1/2 off the price. 1/2 doesn't work online, but maybe they can honor it over the phone. 30% off should work on-line.

Cheap Chinese Knockoff S-Pen

anyone try one? do they actually work and fit into the note 2? here's a listing on ebay. may try one just to find out. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Replacement-Stylus-Touch-Screen-Capacitive-Pen-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-2-N7100-/160994202968?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D261%26meid%3D7524523028112639587%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D1088%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D321106736901%26
UPDATE 5/20/2013
so i just got this thing in the mail today from china. i was very skepticle about buying a knockoff but for the price i figured what the hell. anyways i cant tell tell difference between the one i got in the mail and the original. it even says samsung on it so i wouldnt be surprised if its actually OEM. it works perfect, the button works, and when i pull it out of my note 2 page buddy comes up. great deal for 6 bucks. i wanted a backup because i am so paranoid i will lose it and now i will order a couple more and throw them in the drawer with the original. highly recommend this s-pen.
I've got one from eforchina for $8 and I've send it back. It only acted as an eraser, I could not get it to write. It was also very slightly different from the original (a tiny bit longer, different button design, different colour). The quality was horrible and it was completly unusable. This was the first time I've actually returned something to China. I just did not want it lying around gathering dust.
I was gonna say just buy one from sammy but jeez they want $40 for the damn thing!

Get a 50% off code from Samsung by registering your device. Knocks it down to $20
Now I would pay $20 for a genuine replacement instead of going ring around the rosie with China.

Just registered my old GS3. Here is a 50% off code good until the end of July: rMJ8263
If you are still under 1 year warranty get a free one from att.
Why would att give a free spen? I mean if it quit working sure but if he just lost it then not a chance.

Warranty.
The guy didn't say if he lost it or broke it. I stated clearly WARRANTY. I figured people will understand exactly what warranty means and entails.
I just ordered one from the Samsung website yesterday. $29.99 with 50% coupon made it only $14.99. So I decided to throw in the universal car mount too!
That was $24.99 after the coupon so my total was about $45 with shipping.

this thing is a winner. i will edit the OP with my update
what's the OEM?
my opinion, its a low quallity...
I got two of them. One doesn't work at all. The other only registers one level of sensitivity.

Best Buy Reviews

..
"4 out of 42 found this review helpful."
I can't relate to most of it and seems most others can't either. The storage issue is understandable, but I though Samsung was going to address this in a future update.
And I don't understand giving it "1" in all other categories for one failure.

To me it looks like HTC fanboys are overwhelming the s4 reviews. Most of the 1 star ratings recommend the HTC One.
I used to be an HTC fan boy, but their apple approach and gs4 converted me.
Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 2
Those are crap reviews. They aren't based on anything other than the storage. Just htc fan boys. They don't seem to mention that the One has no expandable memory. No removable battery. An aluminum body that will easily get messed up. I've always liked htc products, all my prior phones were htc. However, the lack of sd card and removable battery killed it for me. The One that my Co worker has is already all scratched up and scuffed from being in his pocket. Does anyone know how much storage is available on the One?
Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 2
I had the One before I got the s4. The expandable storage didn't bother me at all, and had tons more compared to the s4. Was really shocked to see how little storage there is. But an sd easily takes care of the issue. I don't have many apps anyways. Personally just need storage for music and backups/ROMs.
The phone looked great as well, but a 3" drop really messed it up. Also the vibrator inside was loose and would rattle, and almost none of the trim pieces lined up, including the screen.
If the phone was built better, I might have kept it even though I was never able to successfully stream a YouTube video on the mobile network cause the signal was to crappy.
So far, glad to be back in Samsung.

I stopped going to best buy back in 2007 let alone reading any review from them. Go and ask Geek Squad to fix your next broken PC and you'll see what I mean... I'd rather buy my electronics from a crook on the street than walk into any Best Buy.
The only reason to buy from best buy is their warranty
Other than that they seem very biased
Yeah....anytime I see 3 similar negative reviews and all 3 of them recommending the same alternative product (HTC One), all credibility flies out the window.
Wow these guys at best buy lmao.

My s4 upgrade is in 1 week. I'm up in the air about go through sprint or best buy. The Best buy no deductible is nice and no limit on replacements. Has anyone used best buys insurance? If yes is it good? I like assurion but getting sick of forking out $100 each.

I picked up my phone at Best Buy this time with their insurance. I asked others experience with their protection and I hear good things. I also buy all my electronics there and have never had anything but good experiences, so I trust them.

Exactly. Aluminum looks pretty, but scuffs easily. Especially the black version
Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 2
It is kind of funny. These guys are clearly promoting HTC all over the place and anyone can see through that.
Thanks for the replies. I also never lose phones. Saying that I'll lose an s4 and be out $700! I've been looking for reviews on their replacements. Knowing there free has me kind of iffy about them. Assurion cost $100 but I've always had nice and sometimes new devices.

Those are spam. If you look, all of those user accounts were just opened and they left negative reviews on 3 different variations of the S4. You can't tell me they bought the Sprint, Tmobile, Unlocked etc S4s all at the same time.

Ebay selling for $199

Good or bad? Probably means the GG 2 is coming soon. Could get some more devs to jump in here also.
That's a good deal yo.
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
I think because Samsung dropped the price in India to $250. Even best buy has it at $250 now. I'm waiting for it to hit $200 from a regular store before I jump in.
I bought 2 at that price in December from eBay. I don't regret it at all.
I know myself, if I didn't have one already, i would definitely bite on that one. I mean, that kinda kills my resale value although i only paid $240. My other thought is that every time I see a decent size price drop on Galaxy products, it's because the next version is coming out soon.
I went to Craigslist and got mine for 190. But I also made sure it connected and asked the guy if he rooted it and flashed it. He told me it was stock and he had to Google root and flash so I knew it was a good buy!!! And I was gonna wait for the next generation also but these thoughts came to mind. 1 how much will the Gear 2 cost if the Gear was 300 (Sales werent great but good enough to make a gear2) 2. I don't wear watches so trying one out wouldn't hurt (forget I'm wearing it sometimes) 3. After seeing people flash it updates already the Gear will be just as good as the Gear 2 except for hardware. Unless they add a sim chip like the omate then I'd swoop it oh and front facing camera so I can video chat. Sorry for the long post.

Unfortunately, people on craigslist here, think they can charge more than retail stores. Lol.

I bought two for $320 off Kijiji, and then sold one for $180, making my Gear only $140. Decent deal.
You can probably get it off Kijiji or CL for $180.

Refurb Gear 1. All colors $99

It is a Best Buy deal of the day. I just ordered the Black. Given the $29 cost you would have to pay for an extra cradle, you are getting the watch for $70 net.
Best deal I've seen so far and now I have the black and the mocha.

Hard choice between the black and the moca, but I chose the moca. This was the only price, or lower, I was willing to pay since the new one is dropping soon.:good:

Got mine from bestbuy after two days, was pretty quick.
Rooted it, flashed TWRP and null_23 ROM, was able to install Gear Manager on my HTC One, but a few things don't work on it (weather, s voice, notifications...).
Need to play some more.
