haha, obviously i wasn't expecting anything near perfect yet. But it is great to see some developer love for the TPT.

thank you for your work. Will test it with pleasure when it will be a beta version (when touchscreen & wifi working).
It's good to see the first custom rom for TPT ^__^

Great work, guys! Sort ironic the touch isn't working but the stylus is. Always figured it'd be the other way around
Clicked a big ol' thanks on that post.

Millions of thanks for the amazing dev action on this device! It has so much potential and yet it is so held back (mainly by Lenovo).
I know this is super alpha, but just the fact that people are working on it is warming to my heart. Will donate if wanted/needed.
Cheers.

Many many thanks devs!! It is so awesome seeing some attention being paid the TPT! This device could be so much better with some dev love!! Thanks!!

Hi,
Created a site for anyone to host dumps/roms/etc, If you need somewhere to share ICS from.
http://everyrandom.com/files/
You do NOT have to register, and files are kept as long as you need them.
Fast US link (100MB/100MB) and 2TB of bandwidth.

This is great news, I am glad to see that there is some development interest for the Thinkpad and look forward to one day enjoying some CM9 goodness on my TPT.

Do you know the state of 3G? I guess it's not working.

We'll try to make it as good as we can and thanks for supporting us! Video will come soon and just to know that some problems can't be solved without kernel and some other hardware source code that Leovo didn't release yet so probably there won't be full stable Custom ICS ROM there

I realize this is pre-alpha but do you if any progress is being made towards a ICS port for the ideapad K1? Either way, I'm rezlly excited to see ICS making it way tk Lenovo devices! Thanx!

I already emailed Lenovo asking them to release the kernel source code or else to provide me a personal copy, as they are required to do upon request by the GPL. Hopefully if I get a copy I'll upload it for you guys. But we'll see.
Thanks!

Idea is OMAP3 device and Think is Tegra 2 device so there's a big difference. One guy is working on CM7 and as far as I know it have reboot problems so same is supposed to be with ICS port to.

I tried to contact Lenovo support several times with no luck. Let's hope that they'll respond and release kernel source.

The K1 also runs on Tegra 2, didnt know if you thought I was talking about the A1 but I have the K1. With that being said, is there too much of a difference between the K1 and the Thinkpad Tablet that trying this port on my K1 is out of the question?? Thanks for the fast reply!

oh my bad. I can try to port it if you want but you have to be a beta tester.

ugly.... imho
Yea i pm'd the dev, hes like
No plan for Galaxy S. Do this rom for N1 and desire is simply because AOSP support them very well. We several people can't take responsibility like What CM does today. We mainly want to focus on doing one thing well first.
So i guess we gotta wait for them to opensource it, then a dev who is familiar with porting aosp for the galaxy can tackle it.

hmm... wrong topic... My bad Now i don't know where I wanted to post that
I'd love this mod
Someone please port it...
wow.. it looks amazing!!
Well if Samsung see that it will give them an excuse to hold off with 2.2 for another 6 months working on Moooey )
there's already a "working" port for Acer Liquid (search it on modaco)..
it looks like my old device is much more moddable than SGS, too bad
Moved thread to Q&A. If someone picks this up and starts working on it here then the thread for that will go in the development section, but for now this should be here.

[SOLVED] Optimus g2x / o2x a2dp on CM7 [COMMING THE NEXT NIGHTLY]

Hi Community,
i don't know how you feel about the missing a2dp on our devices with source builds but im getting really sick about it.
Nvidia sucessfully ignores any requests from the community (Look at theyre tegra2 forums for example( http://developer.nvidia.com/archived-tegra-forums/forum/tegra-hal-components && http://developer.nvidia.com/archived-tegra-forums/forum/when-nvidia-going-open-source-hal-components )), I also tryed to contact them via E-Mail with no response at all since 15 business days now.
Thats why im starting this Bounty Thread so we might be able to attract a talented Reverse Engineer to reverse the Binary blobs we need to get a2dp fully functional.
As far as my knowledge goes were dealing with the following chips in our devices:
WM8994
BCM4329
Nvidia Tegra2
As far as my informations are correct the audio routing from tegra2 to the Broadcom chip is whats not working (via I2C)
If any of my informations are incorrect please drop me a line via pm or twitter (lwingerberg)
Im gonna start this bounty with 50€ (atm thats about 67.71USD) from my self for anyone who gets this working for CM builds

You need to specify that this is for CM7, as a2dp works fine on leaked GB roms

Of course, i think the same the title is to change .... btw i think there's nothing to do until nvidia does not really wanna dance! Share info nVidia! Share... is the progress... weird, it contains the same BT chip by broadcom, only guess is atm that the chip covering the tegra2 is diffrent
Atrix: ( Elpida B8132B1PB. According to Chipworks, the Elpida package contains 1 GB DDR2 RAM, but also covers the Nvidia Tegra 2 CPU/GPU residing underneath the package.)

Now that both Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich are "out there," I sure hope the Nook Tablet can take to this stuff right out of the box. If that's the case, and CM9 or whatever will be ready to roll when the Nook Tablet officially hits stores so I can go demo one (not that it'll be running HC or ICS, obviously), this is gonna be one damned awesome holiday season.
Can't wait to see what some of these talented folks can do with HC or ICS on my trusty HD2 as well. w00t!!!

Why is everyone saying CM9? The current version is CM7. Why would 8 be skipped?
Ill be happy with just honeycomb, but ICS would be nice.

I think 8 was for HC
CM8 was for Honeycomb. Since the source was not released the CM team did not release a honeycomb build.

Google, if you had an XDA account, I'd thank you. Or at least hit the "about time" button.
That said. I wonder if all the work on HC SDK will make it any easier to get a port going?

Perhaps only marginally.
The work that's been done on kernels and hardware drivers for CM7 will be helpful, but of course it will take time to get everything integrated.
Perhaps my understanding of android is off, but I believe SDK = allows us to build compatible kernels for our devices. Source = allows us to build the rom from scratch rather than port it from another device.

The SDK allows developers to build apps and thats pretty much it.
It looks like it unofficially called CM9 by Steve Kondik (aka. Cyanogen himself) and we won't see it until next Jan. Hopefully he won't abandon the NC.

Well his Twitter said "Check back in 2 months" but that is still pretty ambiguous. It could mean that alpha/nightly builds will start coming out long before then, but perhaps he is giving January as a target for semi-stable builds.

what a great idea !!!! but its already too late. many devs are ALREADY working on it
Yes! Lets do it!
I am sure that without source code of tegra drivers and 3 year old device blobs it's gonna be a bugfree and perfectly functional os!
This obviously isn't a critique to the devs putting time and work in the project, but rather a comment on all the 4.4 hype..
If you think 4.4 is going to 'fix' problems or make you a new phone you are up for big disappointment

Fluidity is not a major concern for this point, at least from my point of view.
I average 14.5k on antutu and since i added frandom to your kernel along with entropy generator it does anything I ask without a glitch.
What I do care about are the big bugs which will almost certainly not be resolved, such as mhl output and baseband wakelock.
My comment is for people who think that 4.4 will be a bugless experience
Guys, 4.4 is more-less functional. It does have some (big) bugs, but we're working on it.
Biggest bugs remaining: no deepsleep, broken camera
and yes, @Demetris is right, 4.4 is as smooth as it only could be. When I booted it for the first time, I was like
But now the Mod in me has to speak some words

Jide Remix OS Rom build

So I was looking a round the interwebs today and found this post on XDA about Jibe Remix OS. Jibe Technology has released a modified version of android that runs applications in seperate windows with a taskbar mimiking the ui of windows 7 or chrome os. This makes it great for tablet multitasking or use on dekstop platorms (no touchscreen input). Visit the link to the XDA page for more info. on the official project.
I would like to know if anyone besides myself is interested in a port of this rom to the transformer platform (tf701t model). If enough people are interested, Ill try to obtain a copy of the nexus 10 rom and get to work on a port. Im looking to give my tf701 more of a laptop feel since I keep it in the dock 24/7 and am willing to take the plunge on bringing this os to the 701 tablet. Just so you know I have no experience with coding or porting Android roms. I'm just a guy with the will to take on the challenge. Any suggestions, comments, concerns, complaints, words of wisdom for a newbie etc... are welcome. Let me know what you think.
Note: This is my first thread post on XDA. I have followed many articles and threads on the site and have been on XDA since the beginning of android (literaly). Unfortunately, Ive had to create a new account and have not reached 10 posts yet. I will move this from general to the dev data base once I reach the account requirements. If Ive posted incorectly in anyway, moderators please move this post to the
appropriate section. Thanks!
You can visit the Jide Remix OS Official Site for more info.

I agree, this would be amazing. I'm looking forward to the Intel release of remix os later this month as well

Would be all over a port of this. I currently use tiny/floating apps to get the most of my Transformer. And like everyone else I would be more than willing to help test anything out.
The Ultratablet seems to have the same SoC as our TF701 so hopefully it's possible to get it working.

I just tried Remix OS for PC and it is GREAT! It would make our old TF701 the perfect tablet with the dock. I really hope someone can port it. Personally I don't have the skills for this but I will assist in every way I can.
Yep would love this to be ported. Would also be glad to test it out.
