animation is realy nice, but is soooo slow.

I don't know how to remove, but you can make effexts faster with spare parts.

in system settings - developer options - transition animation scale. You can disable it, make it slower or faster.

[Q] Nitrality Faster UI

In Nitrality and Spare parts,
There is an option to make the animations faster. After enabling it, the lag on my Note completely disappears !
What does it really do ? Where can I manually adjust those parameters in the system without using those third party apps ?
Thanks!
Framework Res APK does not hold any adjustable parameters regarding Menu transitions that has a delay. :-(
Still Searching...
All it does is either speed up or remove the animations which are one of the causes of lag..

They are settings regarding 3d effects in the menus. Just play withthem till you find something you like!
Nothing serious here, just a way to customise your devices' behavior!

force GPU will force the UI to be rendered using HW GPU rather than SW emulation.
it can cause instabiblity in some apps ,or so I've heard.
as for the rest they just change transition speeds.

The lower the number, the faster the transitions and animations.

Improve Tab S performance

Hi folks,
I read about this in the Tab Pro forum and found that this helps to make Tab S performance snappier with TouchWiz. If you use another launcher, it will be even more snapier. So here are the steps:
1) Enable developer options by tapping Build Number 7 times. You will find Build Number by Settings -> General -> About Device.
2) Once the developer options are enabled, change Window Animation scale, Transition Animation scale, Animator Duration scale from 1x to 0.5x (see attached snapshot)
Regards,
Kalpesh
Tried all that. I would also try disableing system apps and use greenify to hibernate apps until you open them. I also use nova launcher and changed the speeds to fast. I also use a live wallpaper and its all smooth. What font do you use? This is what my tab s looks like. Im am rooted on stock rom.

That doesn't improve the performance, it just hides some of the lags. It is nice that you try to help people (really, it is), but you should have chosen a different headline.
Anyway, I would advise against changing Animator Duration, with it deactivated Hangouts refused to auto scroll to new messages.
Thats like putting a bandaid on a wound. Want to reduce lag? Find the thread that lists all the system apps you can delete.

The font that I use is Rosemary.

Laggy recent screen.

Is it just me or the recents screen is way too much laggy when switching from one app to another?
It worked smooth for a day or two post one ui 2.5 update but now its back.
Have been having this issue since the time of purchase.
Using 6+128gb variant btw.
Turn off animation of window animation scale, Transition animation scale and animation duration scale in developer option and uninstall or disable app that you don't use
Lagging

Any way to disable overscroll stretch animation?

In android 12 there is new overscroll stretch animation.
There is some option to turn it off without disabling all others animations or bring back old android 11 overscroll effect?
In chrome we can disable it using this flag:
chrome://flags/#elastic-overscroll
First thing I kill on Adroid is animations, enjoy the fast UI...
I'm wondering if there is a flag which can be changed using adb shell settings
is there really no way to disable android 12's overscroll??

"Changing Animator Duration Scale in Developer Options to Animation Off is the solution. You need to refresh whatever app you're on to see the effects. So after making the changes in Dev Options, close the app that you're experiencing the stretchy texts on and reopen it to see the changes made."
Not sure if this works. A fast phone doesn't need any animations, etc. One of the first things I disable in Developer options. Animations where junkware in XP×64, still junkware today...
I tried it before and it works, but i want every animation to stay normal EXCEPT overscroll. Disabling all in-app animations for one eye-straining animation is dumb. It'd be great if there's a way to replace the overscroll animation or disable it alone...

Not that I know of. A chrome edit maybe, try searching for that. Many browsers allow you to alter their default hidden settings.
All animations do is make a fast UI less usable. I want to see real time what's going on, or not. Whenever I see lag that's not internet connection related I go into witch hunting mode.
Is there no way to remove that annoying effect? I don't understand how there is no option other than removing all the animations...
i really hate it
