"Service Provider is locked"

Hi, apologies if this is the wrong place to ask this. I get this message on my SPV M700 which I got an IMEI unlock code for. After inputting the code I got a message saying it was ok, but now I see the message "Service Provider is locked, Please input your unlock code"
Anyone know if I should put in the same code again or something else? I'm trying to unlock if using a Vodafone UK SIM.
Thanks
Hi Supermonkey,
If you've already entered the code but it's still asking for the service provider code, try it again. Make sure you enter the code and follow the process exactly as it shows and complete it fully to the end. Then try another SIM in the phone again. If it gives the same message again, can you tell us the exact message that comes up on the screen so that we can make sure it is the network unlock code that it keeps asking for.
Let us know how you get on.

Hi, thanks for your reply and sorry for the delay in responding....I didn't realise I had a message waiting for me! I've ended up returning the handset unfortunately. Thankfully it still worked with an Orange SIM but I really needed to keep my existing Vodafone SIM and contract going.
The site I used to get a code from (http://www.deblocage-htc.com/) have been truly woeful and ignored every request for support I have sent them. Steer clear would be my advice unless you want to waste money like I've done!

IMEI and Service Provider Unlock
Hi ppl
Just thought I'd comment to say that I had the same message come up when I was unlocking my HTC Touch 3g (JADE110) phone.
I used the IMEI unlock service from HTC IMEI Unlock.com
The unlock code they provided worked fine, but when confronted with "Service Provider Locked", I re-entered the unlock code here again, and the phone recognised my O2 sim, having been previously locked to Orange.

Was your old sim card on a different network from where you got this phone from? If so speak to your carrier
This is the code you need to input when you stick a sim in a new phone. Some sims have this code some dont. You can add one or change the code as you wish. The existing code will either be something you set, or something the operator set on the sim. Have a loom at the operator docs. Sometimes these are defaulted to 1234 or 0000. Dont enter it wrong too many times or you'll lock the sim. You need the PUK code to unlock a sim for which the wrong sim pin has been entered too many times.
Other poss is that the Z1 is not sim free and is thus asking for an unlock code to allow you to use s sim from another network. There's a thread on here somewhere regarding what to type into the dialer to get to the service menu. The service menu will tell you whats locked.

no sir, it's the same network
Then go to your network provider and ask for another sim card, it should be free
