Deal for XDA: Samsung Focus S (new, unlocked) from Amazon - Samsung Focus S

I am selling 1 Samsung Focus S i937 (AT&T-branded, but unlocked) brand-new in-box on Amazon with Fulfillment by Amazon. I have the lowest price for this device on Amazon, so it should sell very quickly, but I wanted to give XDA's a heads-up.
Edit: SOLD for $299.99

I bought mine off of Amazon using Amazon Prime and it came the next day for only an additional $4. Definitely worth it.
Since you just missed out on the 1saleaday.com price of $585 yesterday, I say your next best option is what the poster above me stated: Amazon

amazon. its where i got mine.
Again, Amazon.. it does not get more "reputable" than that. ordered mine today for ~$620
Got mine off ebay from a top seller so I knew it would be legit.
Got mine too from Amazon...
Guess its almost unanimous...
Thanks for your your input everyone..can you guys comment on 3rd party warranties I can purchase for the Note?
Those who bought from Amazon, can you tell me the name of the reseller and which country the phone came from?
Majority of the Note sold in Amazon is not from Amazon, but from 3rd party seller.
Got mine from here:

Can't beat $583.99!

Yes, just like the above, it's sold by 3rd party company called MasterDeals. So if I have issue with the phone after 30 days, I'd have to deal with MasterDeals and NOT Amazon.
For example, some seller will tell you EXACTLY which country it came from and how to submit warranty work. Some seller, when I contacted them, like PVCS Popular (a reseller in Amazon), REFUSED to tell me where the phone comes from, so I AVOID buying from them.
That's why I am wondering which 3rd party reselller in Amazon you bought the Note from and if you have any issues.
If you are massively concerned over warranty you should buy the ATT Note instead as the Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 is not sold or supported by Samsung in the USA.. it effectively is what the camera firms would call "grey market"..
You may be able to purchase a warranty for some outrageous price, or you can work on the "if it works for a week its likely fine" principle which is accurate for consumer electronics 99.999% of the time... I choose the latter.
The best i can suggest is to purchase one where the supply is 'fulfilled by Amazon".. then it is Amazon on the hook.. but even if there is some warranty trail none of this helps if it takes three months to send off and return your device, along with a $100 shipment charge..
I got mine from an ebay seller in Singapore (roseXXXXX). I bought it for 603 but right now it's 605. I also had an ebay code for 10% off which took off 60 dollars AND I bought it the day ebay had DOUBLE THE EBAY BUCKS night, so I earned 28 dollars in ebay bucks! That's a 88 dollars I saved off of 603 price!
EDIT: i want to add than with the 88 dollars I saved, i bought an 80 dollar Sandisk 64GB class 6 micro SD card (from adorama when it was on sale). And with the remaning 8 bucks, i bought a screen protector and a clear case from ebay. What a great deal for me.

No, Samsung WILL accept warranty work if you ship it to them. I have bought many phone from out of country (Nokia, Samsung, Sony-Ericsson) and when it need warranty work, I ship it to country where I bought it from and include the pre-paid UPS package. I rather pay about $100 in shipping that COMPLETELY lost $600 because the phone no longer works.
As a matter of fact, one of the reseller in Amazon (Global Mobile), told me their phone is from Germany and comes with 2 years Samsung warranty and even offered to ship the Note to them for warranty work and they'll take care of the shipping and communication between Samsung Germany and them. Unfortunately, they're out of stock of the Note, otherwise I'll buy it from them.
In the case of the reseller I mentioned in my previous post, PVCS, they didn't want to tell me where the Note come from. So if I need warranty work, which country I need to send it to? German, Mexico, UK?

BTW, Amazon is NOT on the hook. Amazon is responsible for fulfillment (shipping, credit card charges, etc.) but not warranty work.
If you buy, say a MacBook from Amazon (not 3rd party reseller in Amazon), they'll take care of it for the first 30 days (DOA, missing shipment, etc.), but beyond that, you'll have to go to Apple.
I ordered mine from Expansys. Apparently they've got a European office that'll handle any warranty troubles with Samsung.

[Q] HTC One at Amazon.com

Does anyone know how soon Amazon.com normally sells newly released smartphones? I am planning on buying from bestbuy at full retail price after they price match my local sprint store's $549 price. It would be even better if I could buy from Amazon.com and avoid tax as well.
(first time buying without the subsidized pricing so I'm looking for the cheapest way possible)
Thanks

If I'm not mistaken Amazon charges tax on more states now included California. I was building a PC for about $1500 and was using Amazon to avoid Newegg tax but a week before ordering or so they enforced CA Sales tax. Overall it was still cheaper so I ended up still ordering with Amazon but it's worth checking if your state is the same.
Amazon has a list of states where they charge sales tax: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custo...2?ie=UTF8&nodeId=468512&qid=1366142889&sr=1-2
All CA mobile sales will also be charged tax on the full (no-contract) price of the phone as well, even when you buy the subsidized version and sign the 2-year contract.
I am shipping to Ohio. Amazon doesn't charge tax there yet

General $200 price drop for USA S21 stores shoppers

Is this right? No price drop for other counties that I can see so far.
Time for people to start calling costumer service for that price difference refund. If they don't do that for you send that phone back and buy again at the discount
It seems that the prices have been dropped only on Amazon. They are the same as before even on Samsung.com.

Dropped on B&H too. This is where I like to import snapdragon to UK from. Exynos not dropped
Dropping key features like microSD, MST = drop in consumer demand = drop in price within 2 weeks of preorder. Hope Samsung execs learn their lesson from this.
The price drop is good depending on your situation. If you're paying straight out, the price drop is good. If you are trading in and buying from Samsung, Samsung actually gives you more for your trade in. I purchased mine online through Samsung and traded in a pixel 3 (200 credit with Sammy, 70 with Amazon). I also used an education discount, went online and found a referral code on reddit, and Sammy threw in some credits to purchase other stuff. Got the new galaxy pro buds for free, a phone case, and a smart tag. This all totaled 970 with tax. With the price drop in Amazon I still pay a bit more with a trade in and get none of the other things for free. The value with Sammy comes in the bundle of items they are offering, plus higher trade in values.
Samsung reminds me of your typical American car dealership when it comes to “deals”. But hey so long as you feel happy that’s what counts.

Question Samsung not honoring $200 price match from Amazon due to shipping delay

I contacted customer rep back when it was on sale on Feb 13th to make sure I could price match, they said yes and to order and contact them once the device ships. However, due to the snowstorm in Texas, the phone wasn't shipped until now and the promo is gone. I was stupid and didn't take a screenshot and now they refuse to honor the original reference ID. Does anyone have a screenshot of the S21 Ultra 5G phantom silver when it was still $200 off on Amazon?
Thank you.
Check slickdeals S21 deal thread, Im pretty sure I saw some members there sharing screenshot of BB/amazon deal. just search that thread.

Question [Advice] Samsung Tab S8 Ultra

Hello all
I pre-ordered the S22 Ultra and Tab S8 Ultra. Now that I've got them I find the S8 Ultra to be too big. I wanted to exchange it for the S8+ but the Samsung shop staff are beyond useless. Apparently, they cannot simply exchange it. I have to return BOTH devices and order again.
The thing is, I had a discount code, traded-in a couple of devices and got a discount for buying both devices. I am more than happy to keep 2 devices. All I want is to exchange one and Samsung are not really providing a half-decent customer support which is really disappointing.
I ordered the S8 Ultra with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
I opened the box and saw the size and decided that it was too big. Apart from that the tablet itself is still in its original wrapping. I considered selling it to cex .co .uk and they're offering less than half the price which is not an option for a brand new device.
Any advice on what I can do to get Samsung to assist or a viable alternative option?
Sell your Tab S8 Ultra directly to someone else on Swappa or Ebay (or your local equivalent). Use that money to buy a S8+. Easy.
@thecrater I see you're in London?
Why not take it, with all the delivery paperwork, to one of the Samsung Experience Stores in London and see if you can work something out with the in store Manager?
I would be interested in perhaps buying it from you, but only if it has 5G (I'm in London as well...so can meet face to face), but you're better trying to store first.
@pinsb
I am in London. It is the 5G model.
My experience with the Samsung Experience Store, at least the one that was in Wembley is not great when it comes to online orders.
If you're interested it, dm me
Here in sweden you can try device up to 60 days and If you do not want to keep it you can return it. But the device must be in new condition.
Samsung Experience Stores are not part of the official Samsung brand... They are run by a 3rd Party...
You could try Oxford Street though...
CEX prices are naturally not going to be that high... Mostly because they need to make a profit somwehere.
Seriously keep the Ultra (S8) itll grow on you...!
