Has anyone got the note to work on TMO 3G or 4G? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Android Development

I'm planning on buying a Note to use on T-Mobile but I wanna know If it'll get TMOS 3G or 4G. Yes I know that's it's coming to TMO but no one knows when. I hate how slow edge is an I'm always on 52mbps+ wifi but I like to have fast speeds on the go also. I read on Twitter about flashing a T-Mobile modem but idk if that's stable or what. Any help?

US Note is not rest of the world Note, here is the international Note thread (and dev section, not Q&A)

Or do a simple search and you'll see that it's being worked on.
No, flashing a tmo modem will not work.

I believe flashing a TMo modem on the I717 will work - but this is the N7000 section not the I717 section.

Got a question!

I am planning on getting a Note and was curious if it is possible to get the Note running on ATT prepaid here in the US? I ran across someone who said it was possible but want to confirm with you guys that actually have the phone and have done that or know about it.
Thanks

If your future Note is unlocked and the 3G/2G AT&T band is supported, than yes.
There is a thread here to guide on how to set it up for at&t. Yes it's possible.

gentlemen, the question was posted one year ago,
and as I recall the author might have already moved to Note2

[q] shv-e160s

So, I just moved to Korea and I have the SHV-E160S KT's version of the Galaxy Note with LTE.
Should i be looking at ROMS from this area. Is this note supported here at XDA anywhere. Any directions to the correct place would be helpful, thanks!
From a quick google, I think the specs are the same as the AT&T US version of the note with snapdragon processor, LTE and nfc? I would get this verified before flashing anything, maybe pop a post in their forum.
Can you post back and let us know?

There are Korean sites like XDA, you might want to use those instead of here. Roms for either will not work.

Tmobile HSPA 4g any hope?

Ive read alot concerning the N7000 not being able to use tmo modems due to the diffrent processor. Has anyone figured out a way? Any new info or links? Is tmo sticking with edge? Please way in!

You might have better luck in the ATT i717 forum. People posting here can tell you how to get an i717 on T-Mobile's network but it seems that you are trying to do the opposite.
Okay ill try to do that thank you for pointing me in the right direction

[Q] P1 tab (T-Mo) Update question

Hey all I have a rather Noob question for the Galaxy Tab (p1) people.
So what is the difference in the roms for all the different tabs? I see a lot for the P1000, P1C, P1N etc etc.
Anyway I just got this tab from a buddy and I would like to get it off of froyo. He said that he had it on CM7 or something like that but revereted it to stock before he sold it to me. Anyway it is rooted, but has stock recovery, and froyo......
I would like to get it to the most recent stable CM available. It's going to my wife and I'm not going to be able to touch it again...... I have my TouchPad and GS3 to play with.
anyway I haven't seen any good guides on how to get this beast updated so could you please point me in the right direction, I've been searching but probably in the wrong places.
thanks.
Steve
The difference is where the tabs are from. Ex. P1000 is europe (gsm), p1000L is latin america, P1000c or P1C is usa- verizon/sprint(cdma). I dont remember the t-mo type. T-mo is gsm though. To find the right cyanogen mod rom type in the model. The verizon tab is sch-i800. should be on the back of the tab. Have fun.

I have a sgh-t849.
Treat it like a P1000 especially if you aren't going to use it with T-Mobile network.
If you do, beware that you only get 3G with t-mobile modem and no voice call.
Or you can use JPZ modem to get voice call but only 2G.
Follow overcome guide in my signature to get you going.
