A few days ago, I noticed that my Facebook app was acting strange: everything was some sort of low-res copy of the usual Facebook. I've tried logging in to facebook in Dolphin Browser as well and I had the same issue. Here's some screenshots; they describe the issue better than me:
I'm currently running ICS Dark Knight 4, with default Devil Kernel 1.1.6b
By now, I've come to the following conclusions:
- I've tried clearing FB data, reinstalling FB and reflashing my firmware. The problem persists.
- This problem seems to be appear only when using the mobile version of FB in a browser (or the FB app). I've tried using the full version on Chrome Beta and it worked fine.
- Only my account seems to be suffering from this problem. I had my girlfriend log-in to her FB account in Dolphin Browser on my phone, and the mobile version worked just fine.
Has anybody else had this issue? Any other tips to try out?

I updated the facebook app and I noticed that it's not synching my contacts anymore. I tried to go on the account & sync section of the settings and it doesn't allow me to add a facebook account. The option is there but when I press it nothing happens.
Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a way to fix it?
I have had the same problem with CyanogenMod for a while.
I uninstalled Facebook, and installed it from market again. And voila!
However, to uninstall it i think you need to be rooted
no problem for that, I just installed cyanogenmod too thanks for the advice. this is a major problem though for whoever is not rooted....
I had the same problem. (search my threads).....
all I did was log off facebook app and log back into facebook app and it seems to be working fine now.
the facebook app isnt really consistent in general, maybe its just me, but it never alerts me even tho the notifications are ste to "on" and its not as robust as the iphone app but its all good it will happen sooner or later
Currently have my G Tablet flashed with TnT Lite 3.0 but this happened before the update. Anyway, I think it has to do with the time setting but I'm not 100% sure. Prior to this error, I was able to log on to the following Twitter apps:
1. Seesmic
2. Dolphin Tweet (twitter add-on to Dolphin HD browser)
3. TweetDeck
Now I can only log onto TweetDeck. For Seesmic and Dolphin Tweet, it tells me that my password is incorrect.
My assumption regarding the time is due to having Toutier installed before. It logged on fine and now it's saying that my password is incorrect and to check my time. ???
Anyone else having this problem or would like to test it?
I also can not sign in to the Twitter app. Stock unit.
So I updated to Serendipity 6.3 last night because Facebook was acting weird, and after doing so, Facebook still can't sync at all.
Using the actual sync under "Accounts & Sync" Facebook, says "Sync Error" and "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." Though, after re-flashing, still the same problem.
Now using Sync in the Facebook App, it says it "successfully synced" but yet, Half of my contacts are missing pictures.
Anyone have any ideas? I really need this, for both my calendar and Facebook Phone book.
the default facebook sync is better than the app sync.
i had the error message too. i think it wasnt liking some of the tibu settings restoring after flash.
remove both the accounts from setttings > accounts and sync.
then add it back. the default one is the rounder corners with lighter colors logo.

My problem is that activities status or media is not syncing anything. I use axura rom for a long with any problems

I have long since solved my contacts syncing issues with the integrated fb account, but I do have issues with the calendar sync.
I've tried to force syncs on calendar and it always fails, but a day or so later, it works. Is facebook calendar sync restricted to a 24-hour period?
I'm having the same issue...my facebook calendar had not successfully sync'd since June 6....
Contacts are fine, just no calendar. I've tried the same solutions a others in this thread, but still no positive results.
Anyone else found a new solution? Does anyone know what the root problem is?
Fyi - I'm running Cog 4.5.1 with no other issues.

Wondering for those who use Opera Mini were you able to log in and sync to your bookmarks (and use other settings)? After accepting terms I can't find a way to login.
Also, anyone have any success in using Twitter client? Have been able to login but app seems to crash periodically. Better suggestion? Like Twitter for push notifications.

I have the same problem with twitter, after a few seconds running it crashed and went back to desktop. Tweetdeck is my twitter app of choice. I've even told one of the root devs about it, and he though it was weird.
I've never synced bookmarks with opera, so I can't help with that.
Hi folks ,i am facing a strange issue with my Sprint HTC one, my IM apps like whatsapp, BBM, FB Messenger App do not connect to mobile data rest of the apps work fine even pages open in browsers. All apps work flawlessly when connected to WiFi. I can't figure out what really the issue is so please help me out. i Have flashed diffrent ROMs(Currently using Viper 6.10) but the issue remains the same.
