And thought it would be a good show for what $250 can get u.
I thought an inprovement is needed, so instead ov booting up the tower, i decided to copy a apktool,smali,baksmali, over to a shared folder ran a script and an apk was decompiled.
Now my problem is i cant get the file to build due to lack of a aapt file, and google isnt much help right now.
Hopefully by the end of this well be able to build roms straight from the tab

he basically just remoted into a ubuntu linux pc, nothing you cant do on your phone or any other tablet.
still cool idea just a little misleading title.

So would any one have a direction to pointfor the proper lib and ini.d files
I exited out quickly and the image was running, thus resulting in the absence of mine

I do believe that the linux is running ON the tablet. I've done this before on my other tablet. It runs locally and you have to remote into it.

True, its easy to do, but i was focusing on the fact that apktool ran and decompiled an apk
The bad part is i cant get aapt to run when i build.....

Love this ability thanks to Ubuntu for Android and all those working on it. But just still waiting for wine or any window emulators for ARM devices, because it runs supper smooth so far.

tablet pc ui/os that's good?

Okay so I'm running a dell xt2 3gig ram 120 gig hd with windows 7 on it. And I have to say while its fast and gets the job done, there is a lot that the os doesn't supply in the ui department. I installed the origami experience for vista and that seems to help a bit, but because its 1200x800, the experience is quite ugly and limited.
I guess what I am looking for is a fast finger friendly tablet pc ui (something like the sense ui). I have the metro ui installed currently and while its good I am getting a bit bored with it. So xda, are there any more?
edit I don't have a specific os in mind. if there is a linux build that rocks toss it over
I've tried moblin but wasnt impressed
For linux: Ubuntu netbook remix. Haven't tried it because my tablet has no touch/wifi linux support.
For Windows: I use Centrafuse(mainly GPS software, but is customizable) and blue dolphin because it is finger friendly. I haven't found anything close to a Sense UI in terms of depth.
link to blue dolphin?
What about Archos 9?
It seems quite ok

How silly of me, took me forever to find it first time
Go to this web site and select the download button, this will relay you to an ftp site where you can get this software for XP or 7
http://ctl.helpserve.com/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=viewdownload&downloaditemid=19&nav=0,6,1
As for the Archos 9: running a viliv s5 overclocked to 1.8ghz and a nice runcore ssd, it is still rather laggy, and the archos has no custom ui
Have you tried moblin/meego?
If what you want is just a fancy UI, try Samurize. Very customisable and last time I've checked it was also free! Loads of users share their customisations on the site. It is compatible with Win XP, Vista and Server 2003 but don't mention Win 7.
http://www.samurize.com/modules/myalbum/
See sample below.
wovens ty for the response i will try as soon as i reformat windows 7 on mine and get the appropriate drivers from the dell website
as for the question of trying moblin/meego
moblin i tried (read the first post)
meego doesnt have any stable candidates until next month
dolphin finally loaded and that impressed me quite a bit. i like it but there are some issues with it on my dell sadly. it was a monster to install. but thanks for the suggestions they definitely help me out a lot

Nope. I never did the pre-order, as I was concerned about some of the security issues (I posted a thread last month about that).
As for pre-order 2, I don't know yet. If I did buy one, it would have to be a PQ screen and I want to see the reviews for that.
I still hope you won't jump ship
G-TAB forum needs you
It looks like the devs have already taken action! Take a look at Rothnic's thread called Eden Plus which has an update.zip package which is basically the stock ROM with root access and the Google Apps added.
Fantastic. Thank you, ssmithri. I've added the [REF] tag.

Working great on the Xoom! I had to edit my Build.prop to be able to buy the game as the Android Market does not list it as compatible.
Awesome I love the Dead Space series! Played through both 1 and 2 three times each from start to finish on the PS3. Maybe another run through on my Xoom. Yeah that sounds pretty epic.
Maybe later though. Currently playing Skyward Sword with Skyrim on the side. Got my hands full already.
Got it working! Looking forward to playing through this again.

You are only playing it because you are rooted though right? I haven't rooted my Xoom yet, and maybe never, so I'll have to wait till official support which I hope comes soon.

Any feedback on this? I have it for my phone, but would rather put it on my Nook color. I know I had to modify build.props to get gameloft games going, but they're working fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Filebrowser question

Guys,
For some purposes here on XDA I always had a file repo on AjaXplorer.
Nowadays it's kinda laggy and buggy, so I need something else.
Do you have any ideas?
I just want a file repo which is directly public available. I've tried:
- Ajaxplorer
- OwnCloud
And this would be great:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But I want an opensource 'and' free one. Any ideas and suggestions?
Maybe one that already has some android source code available for making
an app too!
:good:
There's a bug running around on my screen!!!!!

This might be a dumb question on my part, so forgive me, but is there any reason you wouldn't just use something like Google Drive? I looked up AJAXplorer, so maybe it's just that you want to host it yourself? I didn't delve into it deeply, though, so I could missing the obvious.

Totally correct mate
I host it myself, I've got a huge repo with several own built ROMs, modems, drivers etc.
So it would be nice to have a nice interface. AjaXplorer is giving me headaches.
There it is again!

Question LoD (Linux on DeX)

I'm reading about LoD (Linux on DeX) and i wanted to use it but from what i find online it is discontinued, files don't work on android 11 and there is only the andronix with termux and bVNC or VNC or XSDL or something to play with it.
DeX works as expected, the phone delivers, i would like to know if i can have an optimized version of linux on my S21 ultra, i'd like to know that it can work and not run 2-3 commands each time to make it work.
Usage case, vscode, browsing, docker
Try Andronix, see if it helps.
As i mentioned, there are viable solutions
andronix with termux and bVNC or VNC or XSDL or something to play with it

the thing is, i'd like something near native, like LoD was, cause i really want to replace e.g. a chromebook.
i've got screens everyplace i go, and i also have DeX software installed, i can even work without cables.
i'd like to have LoD experience!
Then your only option is to get a phone that still has LoD active (an S9 or S10, I don't remember, that was never updated beyond Android 9).

Thank you for the suggestion, i won't trade my brand new S21 Ultra for a lesser Samsung device.. :-/
And we get somebody here on XDA to mod the LOD app to bypass the Android version.
I have used Andronix and it is okay. It's not the same. Besides getting the app off of APK mirror you can go to archive.org to download the Ubuntu from Samsung.

I already did gather all the original and forked apk, and the images.. but still haven't had the time to get my hands on my S21u, left it at the office yesterday cause i've got a f*** load of data to transfer (about 210gb) from my Oneplus 7 to it.
I'll report my findings and/or results soon.
