[ROM/KERNEL] Tab2Lite RC1 P3113 [UPDATE 6/23] [ZOOM!] - Galaxy Tab 2 7" Android Development

RC1 Changelog
ROM
Increased Stability Value to Maximum
Fixed Camera thanks to ChanceofChange
Re-added BluetoothTest.apk to hopefully fix bluetooth problems
Re-added Youtube 720p mod
Added Deep Sea Live Wallpaper from GSIII (laggy but pretty)
Added Gummy Beam Live Wallpaper (Kanged from Gummy Rom for GNex) (Personal Favorite)
Added No-Frills CPU Control for easy overclocking
Added Pop-Up floating video player (Super Video)
Minfree tweaks and stuff
Other stuff that I'll probably never remember.
KERNEL
Force Fed Caffeine Pills.
About 40-50 patches for stability speed etc. Don't want to bore you. Lets just say its faster.
Tiler hack to 32mb from Linaro
Reenabled Fsync for file system stability (quadrant will artificially go down)
Reworked frequency table
Bumping up freqs by multiples of 384
Get a little more speed per smartreflex calibrated voltages
Added 1.1Ghz slot
Max possible frequency now at 1.38Ghz. Stable for me. (1.0 still default)
Switched SGX DVFS mode to Linear.
In between the default none and the highest at Optimized (Figure it's a better compromise)
Other stuff that I'll probably never remember.
Theme
Sorry. No time. Beta 2 Preview will still work.
Beta 3 Changelog
Warning! New update may result in the user developing inappropriate feelings towards the device. Do not attempt to have a romantic relationship with the device. Doing so may result in an electric shock or a broken heart when the device cheats on the user with younger, softer fingers.
ROM
Added Nexus Boot Animation
Re-added Exchange.apk
Reverted to old Trebuchet to have trebuchet settings in app drawer menu
HIGHLY Recommended to disable wallpaper scrolling and turn off "fade side pages" for performance
Still I recommend Apex, but include trebuchet because you can't get it on the market
If you use another launcher make sure to increase the minimum scrolling time / decrease scrolling speed all the way in launcher and drawer. Helps with lag.
Switched to AOKP ICS keyboard
volume keys to move cursor (samsung keyboard still there as always)
Optimized some Apks
Optimized Framework-res.apk to make it about 25% smaller
Optimized TWFramework-res.apk to make it about 8% smaller
Optimized Trebuchet.apk launcher to make it about 10% smaller
Optimized secSettings.apk to make it about 50% smaller
Eventually I'll do more...
Misc. Build.prop tweaks, for most of which I am clueless whether they work in ICS or not. Can't hurt.
KERNEL
Fixed Overclocking so it isn't reset back down to stock by by samsung's DVFS.
Now OC will actually make things faster!
Oh man... Took me hours and hours trying to figure this out...
Disabled default Nitro OPP cycling so people who can't overclock can still use included kernel.
No more bootloops! (hopefully)
Overclocked RAM frequency slots (Test)
Raised 200Mhz slot to 266mhz
Raised 400Mhz slot to 533mhz
Enabled/Patched/Tweaked PegasusQ governor from GS3 (Test)
additional tweaks courtesy of siyahkernel
Re-enabled Memory Compaction
let's see how it compares to "without"
Turned on KSM page merging as well to compliment Memory Compaction.
Let's get the most out of the available RAM and see how much it impacts performance
Disabled Gentle Fair Sleepers
small improvements to UI responsiveness
VM tweaks to ramdisk
Typical tweaks to improve UI performance
LZO kernel compression
Faster Boot
Switch congestion protocol to Westwood+ for faster wifi when managing heavy traffic
Or was that added in beta? shrug
Other tweaks to governors, overclocking, etc.
THEME
Nada. Beta 2 preview will still work fine for now.
As always there's probably plenty of stuff I forgot about...
Beta 2 Changelog
Warning! - Update makes the ROM so fast and smooth that the human eye can't keep up. Might cause headaches for some.
ROM
- Custom Boot Animation support! First Tab 2 ROM to have this as far as I know. Just drop bootanimation.zip into /System/Media/
- Youtube added
- gTalk added
- Stock ICS keyboard added (Samsung Keboard with clipboard still default)
- Other apps added to /Data/ partition that I find useful. Feel free to uninstall them.
- Scheduler tweaks to improve touch responsiveness.
- So fast you'll probably need to underclock it.
- **Other stuff that I can't think of at the moment that I'll add to this changelog when I get the time
KERNEL
- Cleancache added
- SGX GPU DVFS mode set to Optimized instead of None
- ACTUALLY removed Samsung's Touch Boost this time for improved battery life.
- Removed Memory Compaction (test)
- Tweaked OnDemand for performance (Highly Recommended over Interactive)
- Butter level increased to over 9000
- **Other stuff that I can't think of at the moment that I'll add to this changelog when I get the time
THEME
- First upload
- Themed SystemUI
- Statusbar, clock, notifications themed.

ROM

- Uses samsung apps at the moment. Don't want to break mini apps.
- Trebuchet Launcher - CM team, xoomdev, others

I'm not super comfortable putting this up, as I don't want to seem like I'm asking for charity or demanding payment. Please don't feel obligated. I do this work for free because I like improving our devices.
Anyway, I'm a broke college student without a job this summer - instead taking extra classes and studying like crazy for the MCAT. If you like my work and want to thank me, feel free to buy a coffee or an energy drink so I can continue to stay up late studying and working on Android stuff. I don't want to have to choose! Thanks and I appreciate your support!

I don't have one so I wouldn't know. Do other 3113 Roms/kernels work on the 3110? I don't even know the difference.
Sent from my GT-P3113 using XDA Premium HD app

1. Is this the ROM you were originally thinking of calling MetallicICS?
2. If I'm on rooted stock, is this just a wipe cache, Dalvik, and system, then install?
3. Does this preserve hardware acceleration (making it Chrome browser-compatible)?
4. Please consider adding a list in the OP of the apps you've removed.

Xoomdev said that no P3113 ROMs will work on the P3110 but he will attempt to work on it when they get a way of recovering in case something goes wrong.
Also, excited to try a stock debloated ROM, BAMF was good but I don't like some of the UI changes.

2. I would also wipe data, but you can try just doing the minimum but know that if it starts acting up you may have to wipe everything.
3. It's basically stock so I would expect it to.
4. Fixed by OP.

1. Is this the ROM you were originally thinking of calling MetallicICS?
Yes, MetallicICS will be AOSP-like theme.
2. If I'm on rooted stock, is this just a wipe cache, Dalvik, and system, then install?
Just Wipe Data/Factory Reset in clockwork and Install.
3. Does this preserve hardware acceleration (making it Chrome browser-compatible)?
Yes. HWA works as it is TW based. Chrome works fine.
4. Please consider adding a list in the OP of the apps you've removed.
Done. Seperated into which apps can be installed after-the-fact like normal apps and those that can't.

Okay, going to give this a try!

Nice work, I'm surely gonna try .Keep up.

Hmmm, I'm getting infinite reboots after installing the zip from cwm. I was coming from CM9-RC0, wiped everything, even formatted /system, /cache, /data from cwm menu, and still infinite reboots. I checked the md5 of the downloaded zip file and it's good. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here...

Bad upload. Don't flash.
Reuploading now... 60%...
Ok. Done. Let me know if it works now. Otherwise, replace boot.img in the zip with the boot.img from a stock install.zip and see if it works then.

I just downloaded and installed it with no problems what so ever. Booted up fine and am logging into my Google account now.
All I did was Wipe Data/Factory Reset, wipe Dalvik x2, install ROM. That's it.

Then, I'll have to blame my tab. I'll have to try again probably with the original boot.img file.

This sounds very intriguing...
I'm looking forward to reducing some of the lag on my new tab.
other testers- have you found any bugs other than the 2 reported in op (camera + youtube manual install)?
I'll probably break down and flash this later tonight... I'm such a flashaholic, at least i've gotten a little more stable with my MT4G and gone with function over flashing constantly.
Thanks for all the hard work DEV's!

It's basically a stock/rooted ROM but debloated (As the title says). Any bugs you notice on stock will probably carry over to this.

Think I'm in pretty big trouble. 1st time I got myself in a jam cause I was under the impression I knew it all. Anyway... Made a backup 1st via Rom Manager. Downloaded Rom and proceeded to boot phone to recovery. Now what I should have done from here is make sure both the backup and ROM were there once I got back into recovery, but I didn't. I then proceeded to format system as per the instructions which was immediately followed by a full wipe. At that point I figured it was go time. I was mistaken. The Rom was not there to be installed. I'm guessing I placed it on the wrong section of my sd card?
At this point I figured no big deal I'll just restore my stock backup. That also is nowhere to be found. At this point I rebooted the phone and I'm in the stock recovery. Is there anything I can do to fix this mess I created?

If I knew how I wouldn't be here right now. I do have some ADB experience as that was the method I used to root my Tbolt, but I'm unfamiliar with the commands I would need to perform this. Is there anyway to access CW from the off state?
Is it possible to add the red to blue battery ourselves with this? Instead of circular

There is nothing that does not function in the ROM. I made sure of that. All the nonsense of VZW bloat, games you have to pay for, etc.
I couldn't even make a "accurate" list. If anybody is missing anything they need I will provide it. That would be easier. Lol

If you are on any Froyo Custom Rom, install CM7 first and then install GB Bootloader
Bootloader is needed to avoid Rainbows which are COLOR SPLASHES on the screen seen during boot.
Find GB Bootloader HERE. Flash Bootloader at your OWN RISK.
Installation Steps for those coming from ICS Passion v10 onwards:
Click to collapse
Uninstall/Disable any root tool which configures kernel or changes frequencies on boot. You can install/enable later after upgrade.
Reboot in Recovery
Flash the file.
Reboot. Let it settle. Enjoy.
Installation Steps for those coming from other ICS versions or CM7 or MIUI:

Click to collapse
Reboot in Recovery
Goto MOUNTS & STORAGE >> FORMAT SYSTEM
Wipe Data / Factory Reset
Flash the file. You may need to flash file twice if there is bootloop due to CWM version mismatch.
Reboot.
Reboot once again after you see everything settled and you are on your homescreen.
NOTE: If you get in boot loop during first install, DONT panic.
Remove battery. Hold Vol Down + Home + Power Key. You will enter new recovery mode. Flash the ROM again.
Some users (having Froyo Bootloader) need to press Vol Up Key instead of Home Key to get in Recovery.

(or press Vol Down + Vol Up + Long press power till Froyo bootloader appears and vanish)
You will enter in CWM mode, if not do repeat above two steps
Now follow instructions of CM7/MIUI/ICS. Wiping Data again after this may give bootloop. So skip wiping data step.

F.A.Q.
GPS icon doesnt blink! I am not getting locks either! What to do?
A = GPS icon will sometime blink and sometime won't! However, GPS will always work. Use NB AngryGPS to test lock-on-satellite.
As per my experience some Vibrant users won't get GPS Locks easily. I recommend them to set server to CHINA via Faster Fix App included.
My Phone gets heated up while charging?
A = That's ok. It's something related to new power source driver that you need not to worry about.
Lag!! Lag!! Nag the developer!!
A = I hope you understand terms of downloading BETA ROM. However, we have come to stage where ROM is really smooth with no Lag.
Will face unlock work on Vibrant?
A = No, it will not work. We do not have a FFC, and hacking it to work with the rear facing camera is less than practical. Face Unlock won't work v8 onwards.
But The OP has a separate .zip we can flash to make it work.
A= Yes, it is for people with FFC. However, you may not get perfect picture for now.
Can I use this as my daily driver?
A = It depends on the type of use you give to the phone. The one thing I can definitely encourage you to do is to take it for a spin, most things work, and what works, works very well. Make sure you read what are issues before you install.
Can I get WiFi Calling on this ?
A = NO, stop asking! As I am not in U.S. and not on T-Mobile Carrier, I cannot develop/port it. Not even with anyone volunteering help.
I cannot see FACEBOOK syncing my contact? :O
Facebook needs to update its app to make SYNC compatible with ICS. This has nothing to do with ROM.
I suggest please review and suggest this feature to FB people on Market!!
What do I need to do if coming from Froyo, or GB, or Eclair, or Donut? I'm already rooted and all else!
A = My only recommendation - to avoid any issues: Do a clean install of CM7, and then upgrade to this - ICS. If you lose your baseband after installation, I prefer you ODIN to LIDROID instead of Stock. And then get to ICS.
After flashing through CWM, I get a message "offset x*xx". What is this?
A = This is a security feature in Ice Cream Sandwich. Read about it HERE.
I'm thinking about flashing different modems, anyone knows of working modems out there for this?
A = Yes, most CM7 modems will work for you. However, according to me, KB5 is best for signal reception and data speed.
My phone says it's running low on space, what do I do?
A = There are a couple of reasons this may be reason. Most common one is that your /datadata is getting packed, use a diskutility to find out what is taking so much space in there. Some others have reported that wiping cache from recovery clears the message - these users are receiving the error particularly after batch restoring with Titanium. Read trouble shooting.
Can I disable LED Notification?
A = Yes. Untick Settings -> Display -> Pulse notification light.
Troubleshooting:
No Service at all after flashing this ROM? No Baseband?
Don't worry, this happens in rare case which can be easily tackled.
You have two options:
a> ODIN to Stock, Root your phone, Install CM7, Install ICS Passion.
b> ODIN to Lidroid, Reboot in Recovery, Wipe all, Install ICS Passion.
I prefer LIDROID ROM because its easy method to get recovery mod, rooted ROM, and most important of all Gingerbread Bootloader.
People on other end of ROM cannot hear you clearly on incoming calls?
This is mute/unmute issue. When your receive call, mute it once and then unmute.
This issue appears in rare case.
911 Works ?
No, I am not sure at all.Frankly, I haven't tested.
But as per latest PM from atinm, I am told 911 with SIM CARD works.
Without sim card doesn't. You are warned!
Getting Best Battery Life
To get best battery life all you need to do is "Charge Cycles"
For ICS Passion v8,
Charge Cycle means completely charging your phone too 100%, reboot and LET IT DRAIN UPTO 0%
Now charge it to 100% again without interuption and then reboot.
This is one/first charge cycle. Also get unused toggles off and remove unused widgets.

Told you guys I would be back This is just the beginning for me!
So I've made an optimized build of Sense 3.6 for you guys, and since I'm also a major space nerd, I've decided this ROM will be named after various interstellar objects for the different builds, along with facts about the chosen interstellar object.
I'm sure everyone is familiar with the scene in Star Wars with two setting suns. This will be a reality for us on Earth anytime within the next one million years, thanks to the star Betelgeuse. It's a Red Supergiant star located approximately 642.5 light years away from the Solar System, and it's due to go Supernova within the next million years. It could happen in our lifetime, or not. But when it does happen, the explosion will be so violent and powerful it will look like a second sun has appeared in the sky for a period of approximately two weeks. It may or may not outshine our Sun but it will be exceptionally bright. This would be a monumental moment of history to observe! Nights on Earth would be just as bright as the daytime thanks to the exploding star. Even though the explosion will light up the night, 99% of the energy exposed to us and the Earth is released in neutrinos that will pass through our bodies and through the Earth with absolutely no harm done whatsoever. This star is so big, if it were at the center of our solar system, it would engulf all of the inner planets, along with the Asteroid belt.
So you want to know what's so good about this particular ROM when there's already ARHD and We Want Ics? Well here you go-

- Based on latest 4.14.405.2 RUU
- Memory tweaks for optimal performance
- Exceptionally smooth performance even with stock HTC kernel at 1GHz

- Enabled GPU UI rendering
- Almost Project Butter tweaks for increased reponsiveness and smoothness

Where's this ROM going in the future? There won't be much updates after this, except for updating to a new base RUU or for bug fixes/new features. I'm going to be focusing on my upcoming CM9 here pretty soon. Sometime in the future, I may also be porting Blackout tweaks to this ROM, so you would have a choice between blackout or leedroid tweaks.
If there are any themer's out there that would like to give me a hand I would really appreciate it. I wanted to theme Sense to have more black and red highlights.. not overpowering but enough to make it feel "darker". I tried theme-ing Sense myself, and my efforts looked about equal to a Grade 2's paint project. :highfive: My mind operates on a logical basis, not a creative basis so I prefer sticking to coding and not touching image files..
Installation instructions - Blackrose HBOOT 2.02 recommended. NOTE - Support for Revolutionary HBOOT has been added.
NOTE- If your coming from a previous version of my ROM, you should be able to flash this over top and retain your data.
- Reboot into recovery
- Wipe data/factory reset
- Wipe all partitions (Excluding SD card)
- Flash "V2.0-The_Second_Sun.zip"
- Reboot and enjoy! (Be patient, first boot will take a while)
Installation instructions for Blackrose PG32IMG.zip
- Place on root of your sdcard
- Reboot into bootloader and it should be found automatically
- Apply the update
Installation instructions for XS-ICS 2.2
- Flash the ROM
- Reboot and let the ROM settle for a few minutes
- Reboot into recovery and flash kernel
Using those steps, you should avoid the wifi error. If not just push bcm4329.ko(found in kernel package) into /system/lib/modules.
I recommend using the following frequencies if your using a kernel that supports OC -
1.402GHz Max
368MHz Min
SmartAssV2 governor
noop scheduler
I get amazing battery life even though my settings are very performance biased.
V2.5 is live! :highfive: Mods are still compatible with the new version, and I would recommend a full wipe before installation, but you don't have to if you want to keep your data. If you find a bug, make sure to let me know whether you wiped with installation or not, as the new base may cause problems without a wipe.

Previous Versions and Facts
Download Link - V1.5-SuperMassive_BlackHole
Download Link - V1.0-SuperMassive_BlackHole
Supermassive black holes reside in the heart of most, if not all galaxies in the Universe. We have our very own supermassive black hole in the Milky way, called Sagittarius A*. Supermassive black holes have a mass ranging anywhere from hundreds of thousands, to billions of Solar Masses. Every black hole in the galaxy has what's called an "Event Horizon" which is the point of no-return for every black hole. Even light, the fastest moving energy(particles? not sure) can't escape the Event Horizon of a black hole. If a person were to go into an Event Horizon, the tidal forces would be so powerful that one would be "Spaghettified" and stretched into a long, thin band of human matter. Let's assume this astronaut went in head first, feet behind him. The "spaghettification" happens due to the massive difference in gravitational pull his head would feel compared to his feet, the black hole's central singularity has such a strong gravitational pull that it pulls, stretches, and elongates any matter falling in.
Oddly enough, the tidal forces at a Supermassive black hole's event horizon would not be as powerful as a regular interstellar black hole. This is because as a black hole grows in mass, it loses density and becomes bigger, and the Event Horizon would be significantly further away from the central singularity (which is what generates the gravitational pull) as a result. If one were to go into the Event Horizon of a supermassive black hole, you might live long enough to get a glance inside of the black hole's Event Horizon and see something nothing like you've ever seen before. The possibilities of what one might see are unknown, as obviously nothing can go inside the Event Horizon and live to tell the tale (Or in the case of an automated satellite, all forms of communication would be pulled back into the black hole and never escape.)

Cool, I'll test it out If it's stable enough, then I will include it as the default kernel in the next release in a couple of days. :good:

Speaking of which, anyone know how this is done? I know you need to mod android.policy and framework-res.apk, I'm just not sure which particular file needs to be changed.
Edit: Wait a minute, wtf! Why does the GB style recent apps pop up instead of the new ICS style? I've NEVER seen this happen on a Sense 3.6 ROM before.
ZaySK you have a voicemail. You should check it may important lol.
I was looking for a sense 3 Rom! ......I'm assuming there's no major issues etc ?
CWM and revolution hboot work? I don't want to have to change.

Haha I hate that damn icon, I'm always to lazy to check it No major issues. Found one quirk, search key brings up GB recent apps instead of ICS recent apps. Found a fix for it and will incorporate it into the next release tomorrow or the day after.
I'm not sure to be honest. I use 4ext touch and blackrose hboot. If you do try it, let me know if it works and I'll update the main post. Just be sure to back up first
think i found how to add crt off animation. ill check it on sense 4 then see if it works with your rom

Thanks You wouldn't happen to know how to switch the recent apps dialog shortcut from showing GB to ICS would you? I've been staring at this motherf**king 16500 lines of smali since I first discovered that bug. I'm done with smali for tonight, I'm going insane. Pisses me off, it all looks the damn same and it's so hard to figure out which lines control the recent apps "style".
Anyone know?

You remaped search key so just edit the following line in /system/usr/keylayout/atmel-touchscreen.kl:
key 217 (whatever) to:

Repeat the procedure in elan-touchscreen.kl, generic.kl, qwerty.kl & vivo-keypad.kl

- Superuser
- insecure kernel
- build.prop tweaked

- V6 Supercharger Script! Thanks to zepplinrox! Read here
- Also included the scripts under /system/xbin/scripts so you can modify to your preference:
* Die-Hard_Battery_Calibrator_RC5 (because stock the battery isn't read correctly)
* KickAssKernelizer_Tweaks_Installer_Update_3_RC8
* V6_SuperCharger_for_Android-Update9_RC9_Test_17
- Modded Skype! Credit to theos0o!! Visit his thread for apk download if needed.)
- Ported Asus Supernote! Credit to b00sted for this fantastic set of links!)
- HIDE CLOCK ON STATUS BAR feature. Only TW based ROM offering this currently. Check out Settings > Date and Time for the new toggles!
- GooManager Ready! (from v2.2 onward - future updates will be pushed OTA )
- Quick Panel lightly themed, darker and slicker looking now, IMO
- LONG PRESS BACK TO KILL APP! Another first to Galaxy Tab 10.1 TW based ROM offerings! AOKP style app kill mod ported from GNote for GTab10.1. In any application, simply longpress the back button to destroy the app. USE THIS FEATURE OFTEN TO FURTHER CONSERVE BATTERY AND FREE UP RAM ON YOUR DEVICE.
CHANGES IN 3.0:
- Merged Mackay 1.3 Kernel - BIG thanks to XDA Recognized Developer and Team Infamous contributor kasper_h for his work on this awesome kernel! OC support to 1.6 GHz, lots of custom governors to choose from, amazing deep sleep, brickbug safe. Check out the official Mackay 1.3 thread here for more details!
- Added latest Nova Launcher. Highly recommended...keep reading, there are other benefits to using it if you don't today!
- Added new default wallpaper, optimized for use with Nova Launcher. Enable Nova on initial boot and it will size itself to add more badass. Yes, more badass.
- A couple of app updates (ROM Toolbox etc.)
- Further tweaks for more effortless scrolling and touchscreen response!
- BAKED IN V6 SUPERCHARGER SETTINGS! I've included a patched services.jar that should speed things up considerably in the UI and clocks in at 75% supercharged right from the initial flash. Beta testers reported great results. If you use the baked in Nova Launcher, it will supercharge itself! Run the V6 script in /system/xbin/scripts to 100% supercharge and re-apply minfree settings for maximum performance. IT IS WELL WORTH YOUR WHILE!
And coming soon...
- A few more aesthetic tweaks that are necessary
- A new, fully re-themed System UI add-on that will darken the theme even further and add some light holo theming + a new battery mod! STAY TUNED FOR THAT.
- Maybe a switch to SuperSU...still considering that one.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- We can't update every week. I have a family and demanding job and will work as hard as possible to support the thread but new enhancements may take some time.
- Make sure you do the obvious thing - take a Nandroid backup prior to flashing in case something unexpected occurs!
ALWAYS a good idea to do a full wipe before flashing! TWRP or CWM is fine, make sure you do a factory reset AND a /system wipe to be sure you get it all!
Code:
Change log:

RANDOM NOTES
Just a few things that run through my head when I work on this ROM that I think will help out some of the folks who don't have a ton of experience tweaking out their systems for what they feel is optimum performance.
LAUNCHER OPTIONS
I am a fan of launchers other than TouchWiz Home, most notably Nova. Nova is now INCLUDED in Infamous Tab 3.0, and the patched Supercharger settings that are baked in will immediately improve the performance of this launcher right out of the gate!
Try out Nova with this configuration, you won't regret it:
- Scroll Speed: Stock
- Animation Speed: Nova Default
- App Animation: Icecream Sandwich. They offer you Jellybean as well, but I just think the app anims with 4.0 were sexy.
- OH and yes - take advantage of Settings > Developer Options to help with your launcher experience as well!! I have my animation scales reduced from the stock 1.0 to 0.5x. It makes a difference in speed without sacrificing the sexy.
KERNEL OPTIONS
I have now baked in the Mackay 1.3 kernel which, in my opinion, is the best stock kernel option for 4.0 ROMs today. A1 and Yoda's kernel are other fantastic options that you can find by searching in the Dev section for our device. Mackay offers many good governor options and OC up to 1.6GHz, which makes it extremely versatile for different applications. Enjoy!
Here is my kernel setup:
- Kernel: Included Mackay 1.3
- CPU: OC'd to 1200 high, 312 low, Interactive governor, CFQ scheduler
- CPU Control Method: SetCPU app
- GPU: OC'd to 400mhz already. Games and videos are a joy to watch.
And one more for good measure.

No reason to flash gapps, they are included (may need a couple of updates but they're in there).
When you say bootloader, are you referring to the Samsung boot logo? Did you fully wipe your device before flashing (meaning factory reset and /system wipe)? What ROM were you coming from?
I'm stuck in the boot screen as well (Samsung Galaxy Tab logo) and I did a complete wipe as suggested. And my previous rom was Cleanrom 2.0.

The other thing that I'm wondering guys is if this stallout is happening due to the older versions of CWM (5.x.x.x) not necessarily wiping partitions correctly. There is all kinds of talk about using wipe scripts with the older versions to clear the partitions correctly and I'm curious as to whether those older recoveries are leaving "remnants" that are giving you grief.
In addition to the 1.0 option, try updating your recovery to CWM 6.x.x.x or the newer TWRP offerings. I myself use TWRP religiously and haven't had a single issue flashing anything since 4.0 including CM10. Thx!

Thanks, I just updated my CWM to version 6, tried it again and it works like a charm. Only issue I have is the rolling wake-up (Turning screen on from Sleep) but there are some hints on the forum which might help.

Are you guys struggling to get good performance on Jelly Bean?
Are you sick of cleaning up the system after flashing a new ROM?
Do you want to do something simple like surfing the internet, without having to watch the battery percentage going down with every second??
Then this ROM is for you lazy bums. From the developer of Badass Kernel, coming with a hell lot of tweaking, a clean system, a new kernel and a stupid "commercial-like" introduction, this ROM will make sure you get out your phone every 2 minutes just to admire its coolness.
So, getting into serious business..
This rom is based on CM10.1.0 nightly and my Badass Kernel.
Features:
24-step Volume
Zipaligned and fully optimized system apps
Apps2SD integrated with zipaligning everytime a non-zipaligned app is installed
Clean system, stripped of unnecesary libs and apps
PureAudio engine tweaked to work with any equalizer (you gotta try DSPManager's Bass Boost now)
Dolby Virtualizer activated at boot through snd2354 binary
Youtube app with MP3 and Video download integrated
Patched Services for better multitasking
Updated Superuser and Zipalign binaries
Eliminated SMS-to-MMS conversion when reaching 160 characters, added message pop-up
Latest Multi-DPI Playstore included in GApps version
Android's Native Task Killer values tweaked (no need for minfree script or ram manager)
zRam, zCache and Kernel Samepage Merging fully working and activated(no need for swap anymore)
Perfect Keyboard
Undervolt, Underclock, Triple Buffer and all the other modifications present in my kernel
Really lightweight modified Zeam Launcher
Gapps included
New fonts optimized for LDPI resolution
New proprietary theme
LMT Launcher Pie Control
Smoother SystemUI animations (you have to apply Lenio theme to get these, I can't integrate them in the system yet)
v3
Replaced Perfect Keyboard with zipaligned LatinIME
Added NexMusic player
Resized zRam disk
Tweaked LowMemoryKiller parameters
Enabled vSync(hopefully)
Added Smooth Scrolling in framework.jar
Set correct permissions to /sd-ext folders inside the A2SD script
Updated kernel to 1.6.1
Added LowBattery Powersave feature for Badass governor
Badass parameters are more performance biased now
Recalculated Frame Buffer Size for Triple Buffering
Clean-up(remove deprecated CPU governors)
Backport Adaptive RED Net Scheduler from 3.4 kernel
Replace Snappy Compression with the much faster LZ4 Compressor for zRam
v4
Rebase on latest CM10.1.0
Update compcache script(now zRam can be activated from Settings->Performance->Memory Management, it is not activated by default anymore, but it is recommended that you enable it)
Integrate StatusBar smooth animations in the framework. The theme is just for whoever likes the look now.
Whole system Odex-ed
Update kernel to latest version
vQuattro 30/06
Update base to latest CM10.1 nightly
Add Touchpal with LDPI optimized theme
Change SMS Popup layout
Re-think services.jar values for better performance in detriment of multitasking
Adjust minfree values to suit the new services.jar values
Add Now Playing player
Re-optimize apps with a higher threshold of optimizing(goddamn, this took 6 hours)
Take down the NoGapps version to avoid weird bugs(to get a NoGapps version, just delete everything that starts with Google in /system/app after boot)
Update kernel to 1.8
Add SIOPlus scheduler (finally something equal or better than deadline)
Add CPU Idle driver to support C4 Deeper Sleep state
Add Wheatley governor to make more use of the new C4 state.
Change Bootsplash
Screens:
Download:
Lenio vQuattro.zip - 107.68 MB
Installation:
Copy the flashable zip to sdcard
Wipe data
Flash in recovery
Reboot and wait 5-10 minutes for the first boot
Change CPU governor to Badass or Smartass to get rid of the lag
Apply Lenio theme in ThemeChooser for a fresh new layout
Be amazed!
PRO Tips:
Use SmartassH3 or Badass with 68-652 MHz and Deadline I/O for good performance/battery balance
Enable zRam in Settings->Performance->Memory Management
Disable logging and notifications in both SuperSU and Setting->Superuser for a performance boost
Check Disable HW Overlays in Developer Options (NOTE:This option resets at every boot)
Install CrossBreeder from my kernel's thread
..to be continued

It depends mostly on the kernel, the performance settings and the strength of the signal(GSM, 3G, EDGE).
I did my best to get a really good battery life in my kernel, but even I get battery drain if I download something on poor 3G signal.
Don't worry about stand-by, this ROM has the best Deep-Sleep management. I got 1% drop in 7-8 hours. Just be sure you turn off the data connection when you know you don't use it.
Nice job:thumbup:
Will try this later

Yes, this is a known bug. It's because of the changed fonts. Does it bother you that much? I'm trying to focus on performance and battery first, I'll get to the layout later.
But fortunately, that's the only place where it's occuring, in the DeskClock app.
No it doesn't bother me that much i care on what's under the hood & yes layout can be fixed later

hello everyone, can you tell me what recovery are you using?
alin.p nice work
wow great rom thank-you... maybe developers could use 'Lightning Launcher' as the system launcher instead of 'Zeam Launcher' as Zeam is no longer under development. Lighting Launcher is only 221k and for it's size it has lots of options and customization... must admit takes some time to setup but once you know how to do it its pretty cool... give it a try http://bit.ly/111XAiW

If you have an ext4 partition on your sdcard, you must also have a folder named sd-ext. The apps will be automatically installed there, no need to move them. Check if you have the sd-ext folder, it's in the root.

Zeam is not developed anymore because it doesn't anything more. I didn't choose it for it's apk size, lightweight means how much RAM it needs to work, not how small the apk is. And I tried lightning too, it is a very good launcher, but it uses much more RAM than Zeam and it needs a bit of work to get it the way you want it. Zeam is an out-of-the-box launcher and that's how I want my ROM to be also I'll keep Zeam for now.

Please guys, this thread has only two pages, it's pretty easy to read 15 posts. I said earlier that I didn't post screens because there aren't many changes in the layout in this version. Next version will contain a proprietary theme and I'll post screenshots then.
