Stock Rom v4.0.4 with CF-Root LRG Kernel and Binary Reset Tutorial(FULL METHOD) - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Android Development

Hey Guyz... This Thread is just a help from me to those xda members who dont want to mess the upgrade to latest ICS update i.e. Android v4.0.4 with all tools required to help you in update firmware, all in ONE PLACE... this thread is although is associated with recognized XDA Contributors ( Many Thanks to them)...
I Just Find a Stock LRG Rom (Android v4.0.4) (Thanks to Dr. Ketan) With CF-Root LRG Kernel ( Pre-Rooted Kernel include CWM And Super-User), easy rooting method ( Thanks to Chainfire )
It totally based on stock kernel... So far works pretty smoothly without any earlier issues in CF-ROOT Kernels...THANKS to Chainfire
It is just a Stock 4.0.4 Version Samsung Touchwiz Interface Rom For Russian Countries (Thanks to Dr. Ketan and Samfirmware) which will rooted through CF-ROOT LRG Kernel.(click on title to downloaded)
which runs without any issues as earlier with easy method below by Dr. Ketan ( Click Stock 4.0.4 Version Samsung Touchwiz to download the rom)
If you want to download other Stock Roms then click the title...
or try Dr. Ketan's Method Of Rooting LRG Rom.
(Req to all plz read full thread before installing the ROM.)
1.a Pre installation : (For clean installation, optional)
- Make backup with TB or other same app.
- First flash GB ROM if you are on any other ICS/Custom ROM
- wipe cache, data from recovery
GB Rom Is Recommended As Wipe in ICS can Trigger the Brick Issues..
Dont forget to wipe cache, data from recovery before each installation for preventing your cellphone from BRICK Issues...
1.b Final Installation
- Download ICS ROM, and extract it to .tar file
- Download Odin, open it (click on title or link below)
- select PDA tab and point to ROM file. Leave Re-partition, pit, CSC, Phone tab unticked (see Image below)
- Switch off device, Put in download mode (Vol down + Home + Power)
- completely close kies, Anti virus if running
- Connect device to PC
- ID com port shud turn yellow (not shown in image)
Now hit Start
The phone will reboot after the flash. Done.

}
Rooting
Download CF-ROOT 5.6 LRG Kernel, and extract it to .tar file (click on title or link below)
Flash using Odin Keep wifi On before flashing
(flash same as flashing a rom through pc odin)
The phone will reboot after the flash. Rooting Done.
Cheers...!!!
See Below Video Link for Chanlog (nothing new but bit faster):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBxOSdbGc1U&feature=plcp
After Flash Kernel through Odin you will raise your BINARY COUNTS and you will notice a YELLOW TRIANGLE along with boot animation. This will affect your WARRANTY as Samsung wont accept any binary counts. SEE IMAGE BELOW...
to reset use TRIANGLE AWAY.APK which reset your counts to zero. THis Will Install Normally...(Click on title to download)
Follow the method below:
1. click the Reset Flash Counter from the bottom of the app
2. click Continue
3. then you will redirected to recovery mode
4. Press Up Volume Button to reset
5. It will automatically Reset Your BINARY COUNT to Zero
6. Done........Cheers...!!!:good:
Note: Must Wipe Data and Cache before ever flashing for safe installation and be prevented from any brick issues
This is a 1st thread of mine, so if (by badly coincidence) any technical error occur happens "I" or any XDA Contributors Introduced in this thread is not responsible....But I am assuring you all if u follow the full method, you will not come across any issues....

seriously mate its already been done...no need for another one...request for a move from mods...
btw...you should have looked at this first...

Seeing as you have not provided any documentation as to what initiates you took to enable CRT on here, I read your SGS 2 threat and presume its in the services.jar.
I have a modded rom already on deoxed KK1 and have no desire to install a totally new framework.
So should it be ok to just replace the services.jar on my system to enable crt-on animation?

Stock Firmware N7000XXLA1/LA3 (2.3.6) Open Europe
Repacked the three firmware file into one (odexed, file extension .tar)
Stock Firmware (no wipe) N7000XXLA4 (2.3.6 one file, odexed) Open Germany
Warning! Firmware deletes all data and settings!
ROM established with FULL WIPE
You need to have the root right
Installation by means of MobileODINPro https://market.android.com/details?id=eu.chainfire.mobileodin.pro&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImV1LmNoYWluZmlyZS5tb2JpbGVvZGluLnBybyJd
(If you do not have root rights and you want to leave the counter "0" and no yellow triangle,
flash the first stock firmware is not above KKA and get root in this way selecting the method 2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1329360
and then it flashed this ROM.)
Installation :
0. Save all the necessary applications to the previous your firmware, using Titanium Backup.apk
1. Download and put repacked Firmware N7000XX***_N7000OXA***_N7000XX***.tar
and root kernel CF-Root-***-v5.0.tar оn the internal flash drive.
2. Install MobileODINPro_v1.25 (Update plug-ins) then open it.
3. Press "Open file" choose at the top N7000XX***_N7000OXA***_N7000XX***.tar
4. Press "KERNEL" specify the path to root kernel CF-Root-***v5.0.tar
5. Deselect "Enabl EverRoot"
6. Press "flash firmware" (further "ok...")
Wait about 5 minutes...
Castom binary "no"! No Yellow triangle! Have root right!
And so the same program will install : SU v3.5, CWM recovery 5.0.2.7, CWM manager v3.
My feeling with the kernel CF-Root-***-v5.0 running smoothly.
I installed repacked N7000XX***_N7000OXA***_N7000XX***.tar on top of CheckROM™ Revo NoteHD. Everything went without a glitch

I already have CF Root + CWM for KL3 . Meanwhile I have also installed Mobile Odin Pro on my Note. What is the best way of updating to LA1 ? And will I lose the CF Root after flashing LA1 ?
Could you also guide how to Flash LA1 with CWM manager app from Chainfire , as suggested by you earlier . Abd after doing that , will I retain Cf root + Cwm app ?

The first step for you is to get root, and the easiest way to do that is to flash one of the pre-rooted stock Roms from here. Use PC Odin.

ICS Stunner Flashing Guide

so,having already LC1 i have to flash via PC odin the pre-rooted file "3*Files Wipe N7000XXLC1_N7000OXALC1 Open Europe (02/03/2012)"
and then follow the guide "ICS Stunner Flashing Guide"?is this all?

Yes, that's right. You'll only have to double check if you get CWM Recovery with the pre-rooted Rom. If not, you'll need to flash CF--Root LC1 kernel to get the recovery.
After that, you're set to follow the Stunner flashing instructions.

I think the latest Stunner could be flashed over a rooted GB kernel(Abyss to be specific), no?
Edit: Confirmed
NEW STEPS BETA 4.3 ONWARDS:
Backup data apps.
Download and copy latest Stunner ROM on your SD Card.
Make sure you are on Rooted ROM. Reboot in recovery.
ONLY IF YOU ARE ON GINGERBREAD: Flash Abyss Kernel. Goto Advanced and Reboot Recovery. Tested and confirmed working on CF-Root Kernel.
Wipe Data (Recommended but not mandatory if you on Stunner ROM already)
Flash ROM.
Flash suitable Modem (Optional, recommended ICS LP5 modem)(not included in ROM)
Reboot and Read Caution.
Do not restore system apps or system data.

[Q] Flashing Custom Roms

I have just Rooted my phone using Super One Click. That's it.
Now can I directly flash custom ROM's?
In this thread, I have gotten totally confused with so many things to do and different firmwares.
Please help me out.
Thanks alot
P.S - I already own an Xperia Arc so I do know about different Kernel's and flashing and other stuff. Just a noob in Samsung stuff
If you're on Froyo , you need to flash a GB ROM first
"As a friend, just....put an end to me." - Ventus
Yea, It's already on GB
You have to flash ClockworkMod Recovery.
After you flash it, test it by powering up your phone, keep pressing the home button until you get to a black screen with blue letters(Or Orange like in my nook color)

If you see that screen, CWM has been installed (either version 4 or 5).
Then you go and flash a new ROM.
Go to our Android Development Forums in the Galaxy Ace Subforum, and look for a good rom! Almost every post contains the method of installation.
ALSO WARNING: KEEP IN YOUR SD CARD AT LEAST ONE BACKUP/WORKING ROM. You never know.
(To backup, go to CWM Recovery mode, there's an option there)
Thanks, But how do I flash/install CWM?
I do know how to handle ROM's and other stuff. But since I'm origianlly from Sony Xperia Arc. What I did was, Root, Unlock bootloader once. And then all I have to do is flash a compatible kernel, then a rom.
Over here, I cant understand which order is what and how do I go about doing it. I have rooted... coz i thot that was obviously a necessity.
Here you go
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034145
Thanks for the link, But most of the links in the post are Dead x(
And I did quote the link in my original post :\
1. if you have froyo on your galaxy ace, please flash a stock gingerbread(official one) first, flash using software named ODIN. you can find tutorial on dev section
2. galaxy ace doesnt need boot loader unlock, it been factory unlocked
3. before installing any custom rom, you need a CWM/similiar type of recovery, you can find em in development section
4. usually, custom rom for sga come with custom kernel too, no need to flash custom kernel first, again, you can find custom room in dev section.but, you can flash custom kernel after flasing custom ROM
I know....this will make you confuse, i mean.....flasing custom ROM for SE phone is pain in the as* for n00bs, but flasing custom ROM for galaxy ace is more "n00b friendly", for ex : you dont need to worry about unlocking boot loader, incorrect baseband, download PC companion(<=damn app that make me headache for 2 hours).....
just flash, and enjoy.....

But then, This is Easy!

And No, I didn't flash Gingerbread through Odin. I upgraded it Officially through KIES.
Do I have to Flash the GB Rom Again?

1. You need update Rom GingerBread 2.3 from Odin.
2. Install CWM recovery 5. (Download, push sd card > turn off > push Power + Home > intall from sd card > chossen CWM Recovery 5 > Yes and reboot)
3. Download rom you like, push sd card, full wide, and install from sd card.
You do not need root to flashing ROMs, only the CWM

donot upgrade , you will lose your keypad. I upgraded through cyanogenmode and then google services were absent, playstore couldn't function. when I tried to downgrade, it wasn't possible to get the original version and in 2.3 the keypad had issues.
