Phone
Data
SMS/MMS working
Camera

Usual ROM installation applies.
You should not have to wipe /data if you are already on a JB ROM.
1. Boot into Recovery
2. Wipe /system (/data if your not on a JB ROM)
3. Install ROM
4. Install Gapps
5. Wipe Cache and Dalvik
6. Reboot
Enjoy!

Reserved...I don't know why, but I see other developers do it!

Want to check it out, but is it possible to upload to a site that doesn't require signup?

Oh man, you lighted up my day. Yesterday I was wondering: "Why no one followed CNA project?" then signed up on forum and started to check how I can build it myself... now it's here next day. You've got my gratitude. Will check out asap
THANK YOU!

force closed when i go to Access Point Names.

Nice! Looking forward to trying this. I was a big fan of CNA while it was available on Atrix...

I assume camcorder is not working, but camera is?
Having a NOT WORKING section may be relevant.

Like ANY OTHER JB/ICS ROM...standard non working issues apply due not having proper drivers from Nvidia
Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk

If you get camera lag, do the following
1) Open camera app
2) Close it
3) Long press home and swipe it away
4) Repeat steps 1-3 a few times (4-5). It should improve after a few times...after you do this initially, it should stick.
Camcorder isn't working yet....could TRY videocam illusion (I will admit that I haven't tried it yet on any JB build, though)

I got bootloop with this, it worked fine for like 20 min and bootloop started. Restored back to cm7, should I try flashing this again? Pretty sure its my phone and not the rom though.

Could it be that rom's clock is everytime at 1000 Mhz?
Also, if you go to rom settings, someplaces it shows as you've running the rom in a photon device.
I have to research in these two issues so i can send a report.

[TEST BUILD] CM10 Port For Vibrant [V9]

I will no longer be maintaining this port, as I have upgraded to a galaxy s3! If anyone wants to take over and or needs instructions for porting this ROM themselves, just send me a message!
Credits go to DerTeufel1980, be18, and all of the other International Galaxy S devs for Jelly Bean!
This is just a slightly modified version of the build for the International SGS (original thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1775169)
Steps for flashing
For V9:
1a) If coming from another rom: wipe data/factory reset/format system/wipe cache/wipe dalvik cache
1b) If coming from previous version: delete folder /data/sys-parts before flashing (you should be fine without wipe, but delteing this folder is important), wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache
2) Flash ROM
3) Flash kernel
4) Flash addon (don't flash gapps from an other rom!)
5) Fix permissions
6) Reboot
Downloads
ROM (V8): http://www.mediafire.com/?zxmw7fulb516lcs
Kernel (Use this kernel for V9): http://rootaxbox.no-ip.org/divers/104/jellybean/Devil3_1.0.4_jb_vibrant_CFS_BLN_VC_20120727.zip
CM10 Addons (Use these addons for V9): http://rootaxbox.no-ip.org/divers/devil_jellybean/addons/cm10_addons_devil-V8b.zip
What Works
- Calls/SMS
- Data
- Wifi
- Camera
- Bluetooth (not tested yet)
- GPS
- Google Now
- Google sound recognition (for indentifying music)
- Everything else that isn't listed below...
What Doesn't Work
- Mounting of external sd card to computer (??)
- Others??
Trouble Shooting:
FOR STATUS 7 ERROR
1. Download the Icy Glitch V14 kernel >http://androtransfer.com/latest/vibrant
2. Put the file in your internet SD and Flash the kernel
DO NOT REBOOT
3. In CWM go to ADVANCED -> REBOOT RECOVERY
4. Follow the normal steps in the new CWM console
~ Thanks Waldos!
- If you experience considerable lag after updating from a previous version, flash the rom again and make sure to wipe data and perform a factory reset in the process.
Change log:
V2
- rom slimmed down and gapps/su fix included (thx to bhu1)
- replaced ear.apk with one supposed to work (user report)
- replaced hw composer with the one from nexus s (this is the jb one, old release was using ics hw composer)
- fixed recording of 720p (upstream fix to media_profiles.xml
V2.1
- Added missing Google Sound Search library (Google Ears)
- Added Gmail back into system applications (for some reason it was left out of V2), and gmail notifications should work now!
- Changed build.prop to reflect that the device is a Samsung Vibrant
- Added stock Jelly Bean boot animation
V3
N/A
V4
- built from latest sources as of today (07/19/2012, 4 pm)
- /datadata partition now working
- google tts working now (pico tts already working before?)
- extended power menu
- more menus in settings (some of them still are not finished and lead to a force close of the settings)
- all kernel settings stick after reboot
- using "data-symlink-script" from RolluS to get everything into the rom many thanks for this.
V5
- based on the last release by pawitp (compiled rom is not booting atm, i hope this gets fixed soon)
- fixed notification sounds
V6
- compiled from sources of 23/07/2012, 2 pm
- new boot animation
- removed apex launcher
- fixed installing bug: no need for delting data/sys-parts anymore
V8
- compiled from sources of 25/07/2012
- moved some files from sys-parts back to system and the other way around (trying to optimize the use of /system space)
V9
kernel (1.0.4):
- hack mfc driver, to give all available mem to an application, if the requested mem is more than the max. available (maybe useful later, does not change anything right now (afaik))
- fix execution of boot-patch.sh, disabled twice execution of init.d, enabled tv-out server for all devices (i9000 already had this)
- battery: fix charging display for car dock
- increase read-ahead on moviNAND
Note: The back button is broken on the notification pull down!
User Videos
Thanks wolfie083188!

I will keep this updated! If anyone can help to fix these bugs (especially the Camera bug because it seems to be Vibrant specific!), I would really appreciate it!

[ROM] CM10 Builds WIFI 2012.09.26

I’ve been compiling some Cyanogenmod 10 builds for my tab recently and I've decided to share them here. The Cyanogenmod project is still under heavy development, so there will be bugs. Although I will be testing the wifi builds before I post them I may not be able to catch all bugs before I release the build; install these builds at your own risk and be aware of what you are doing. I take no responsibility for any damage caused by these builds. If I notice small bugs while testing I will make a note of them with the release. I plan on updating these builds every week or so.
Thanks to:
The Cyanogenmod team and pershoot- This is all their work, I am simply compiling their code.

Changelogs:
If there are major changes I will try to note them along with the builds, but for all other changes refer to the Cyanogenmod code review system: http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#q,status:merged,n,z

NOTE: Pershoot mentioned in his build notes that the goo.im july 26 gapps caused problems with his installation. I have tested this package on my build and it is working just fine. I think the problem is fixed but if you have issues try the older package.
Instructions:
1. Make a nandroid backup and save it in a safe place.
2. Wipe data, cache, and dalvik cache.
3. Install ROM zip in CWM.
4. Install GAPPS zip in CWM.
5. Reboot
Note: A wipe is probably not required for every single build, but it can't hurt. Make sure you make a backup even if you don't wipe.

So far so good! Just a quick question. Is there anyway to just theme and change the battery to the circle mod or one like it? Thanks in advance!!
What kernel version is compiled with this build?
Not criticising, but was expecting front camera to work on this

If you go into Settings > System > Status Bar there is an option to change the battery status style. Unfortunately the percentage display doesn't seem to work but I'm sure CM will fix that soon. Your best bet for now is probably to enable it on the lock screen under Settings > Lock Screen > Battery status.

I thought coffeebean's rom might have been the latest iteration of this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30240005#post30240005
If you look at the names. CM= cyanogen. That link is AOSP. Android open source. Totally differwnt
Thank you Coffeebeans, this one is all ready better then the last experimental from pershoot! I find it smoother and with better battery performance!! Sweet

I've been using TWRP for a while. No problems so far but I haven't flashed anything since Pershoot's last build on droidbasement.com.
Is there a means to change the items in the notification popup menu (the one in the lower right that pops up when the clock is tapped). I know Maple got is right in AOSP, just not sure what he did. When I make it visible, it seems to truncate some of the options.
Nice work on the ROM.
Getting a lot of screen flicker all the sudden, not sure whats causing it or how to best diagnose it.

Then of course , stock jellybean-cm10 gapps :

At first boot go to settings>performance
Set min cpufreq @ 1ghz and max @ 1.5ghz leave gov on interactive
Enable 16-bit transparency
Disable "surface improvement" dithering
Allow purging of assets
Set zram comp to 26%
Reboot, wait 10 min and reboot again

I understand the idea of safestrap, but I was wondering if you could gimme a quick lowdown on how to use it. I come from a droid 3 and yes safe strap came out for that but I mainly worked with CWM so I'm a lot more familiar with that. Few questions. Do I install recovery once downloaded? And I forgot what safe system is/when it should be used etc. And how to access safe strap to start flashing. All I can think of is bp tools when I think of custom recoveries lol. Thanks in advance!

Ok, so in the new safestrap, make sure you're rooted, go into the app, install, and reboot. Upon booting, you will see a boot up screen with safe system disabled on it. Go into the recovery option by hitting the recovery button on that screen. You'll go into twrp with safestrap settings. Click the rom slots option in the top left. Then choose the first rom slot. Next, choose the partition size. Depending on your sd card size, pick accordingly. It'll take a little while to make the slot but it will. It should switch to that rom slot upon creation, but if not, just click on the rom slot and hit activate. You'll be able to tell because it'll say rom slot one on the top of the screen. Next, you'll have to install the rom by hitting the install button, navigating to the downloads folder, or wherever you have the rom and swiping to install. Next install the gapps and reboot. The safestrap splash screen should look a lot different and say enabled now. If you've done all this, you're golden

Awesome work Hash! Thanks for your continuing development for the D4. I've been checking every day religiously for more news on a more stable version of CM10 and today looks hopeful! Can't wait til these bugs get ironed out.
Thanks!
Thanks Hash! Any info on MMS (workaround, or eta on fix, still getting the "Destination address invalid")? Might want to mention that in the "doesn't work" section.
Thanks a bunch Hash! The work you do here is always much appreciated!!
I've made some screenshots from the latest build.
Looks like almost all works normally, except GSM
LED from flash - OK.
are there any workarounds for incoming call bug?

Just curious because I noticed this in your screenshots, but it says you only have 840mb of working memory. I know that sometimes memory shows less than installed, but we should have a 1 gig showing as installed memory.

This is normal, no matter which phone / ROM you are using
although there is 1GB of RAM, some is reserved for different purpose, like bootloader, video ram, etc....
so the actual usable memory will be less than 1GB
Too bad the d4 doesn't have a gyroscope... no photosphere

Thanks Hash! You're a badass. Gonna give this a test!
Edit: It seems my keyboard light isn't turning on
Is it complicated to create a GSM Version / GSM Patch ?
Thx, Testdevice

u have to edit the build.prop
set
ro.mot.lte_on_cdma=0
ro.mot.phonemode.vzw4gphone=0
ro.mot.phonemode.vzwglobalphone=1
ro.telephony.default_network=3
ro.telephony.gsm-routes-us-smsc=0
telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=0
this will bring up APN options and let u use GSM
an other tip: if u search the developer/performance options u can go to Settings->About->Buildnumber (the last entry in the list)
and touch it 10 times (fast). this should enable the options
Nice work @Hashcode without u the Droid 3 and 4 wouldn`t rock so much
and will the batterybar added to this rom? i know its available as app but its more comfortable as option

this rom is incredible!! Sure there are a few bugs here and there, but i can't believe how fast it is!
No phone audio
I just installed a fresh copy of the 1/18/2013 build an I am not getting any phone audio.
I tried with bluetooth, Speaker and from the regular speaker.
Tried turning bluetooth off and rebooting and I get audio back, but as soon as I turn bluetooth back on I get no audio.
Any ideas?

Everyone with JellyBean firmware/bootloader should use moto_msm8960_jbbl builds. Users who updated to KitKat firmware/bootloader need to use the moto_msm8960 builds.

The ROM is being updated to kernel version 3.4, that was already released to RazrM and for XT926. The kernel 3.4 depends on new bootloader version and XT925 doesn't have it yet (a leak exists, you can search xda).
As Nadlabak and dhacker29 already informed, the M8 will be the last release supporting devices with JB bootloader. All nightly builds will support only new bootloader.

OK. So far so good. Flashed with no issue, neither the rom nor the gapps.
Very smooth. WIFI and radio signals look OK. Downloading all my apps...
After 5mn of testing (!):
- My external SD isn't detected.
- Same transition bug as in a few builds earlier on cm10.2
EDIT:
- All Interface/Menus/Status bar settings are missing
- Some settings are missing from the Camera app (jpeg quality and others)
EDIT2: 20 minutes
No other bug so far. Tested a few apps, are working as expected.
root is OK.
And s**t, that thing is REALLY snappy!.
Hi,
I made a dirty flash.
XT925 (Telcel Mexico)
I was in Carbon nightlies (7.11.13)
Flash ROM over Carbon (CWM 6.0.4.4)
Flash GAPP 4.4
Erase Cache, Erase Dalvik
Boot
Boot without Problems alle Apps working
(Around 70 apps, from whatsapp bbm, rootexplorer, udn lite, asphalt 8,etc)
SD Card not mounted/working
Radio signal works ,WiFi, battery is ok )
GPS locks quickly.
From Carbon have the unlock function with volume keys, that works too. I did not find it in CM, but works.
I flashed superuser.
Till now all is working great. No FC.

Hi guys,
Just flashed here and I´m still testing... Used CWM 6.0.4.4 without any glitches. Flashed Core GAPPS , the minimal one (17mb) with only core code. I also flashed SuperSU 1.6.5 as I don´t like Superuser.
It´s working like a charm!
I didn´t like the launcher, so I exchanged to Nova Laucher as I always used it.
Anomalies found:
- External SDCard doesn´t work.
- Tiles for Radios/GPS/Bluetooth on notification screen doesn´t work to switch the function on-off. It just leads to config screen.
- Sound poping/cracking playing FLAC files. Tried Apollo and PlayerPro. I don´t have any MP3 local to test, will try later. But working flawless with streaming sound. I used 8Track and Cloudaround and the sound is perfect.
Oh, just FYI Viper4Android is working flawlessly without any issue!
For a "first build", it´s almost perfect, just few bugs. Epinter, congratulations!
I´ll test GPS and Bluetooth Audio on car as soon as I´m out for lunch.
Tested this. Works great on my Atrix HD. Video playback and external SD seem to be the only bugs for me. Found myself a new daily driver for now.

No tethering
No GPS
A lot of menu options off
Some 3G lost signals
SMS and MMS ok
It's ok for a preview.

Now GPS is normal? If not, try restore a backup where it locks, reboot with it locked then clean flash KK, might work.
I think white status bar icons are a feature of KK, not a bug. It won't go blue as previous versions. Check if your playstore is connecting and your Google account is syncing normal, it's all set.
Tethering is down. Might not been implemented yet.
I checked video recording is working fine so local video playback, using mx player. But streaming video from YouTube app or any other site from web is not working.
And lock screen rotation too, may not be present yet.
Any other feature is awesome.

Tks.
I know there is some bugs, and CM 11 almost is ok.
But something very wrong happened. I lost wifi. Not turn on. No connection anymore. I put sotck system by rsdlite, but even that, wifi not turn back. WIFI-AP not turn on too. I think it burned. Is there some way to test if really burned?
Tks again.
