[V1.1 available now]HiddenEye - Awesome app to catch your phone snoopers red handed - Nexus S Themes and Apps

Ever wanted to know who has tried snooping into your phone while you were away. Your friends or family member might have tried to unlock your phone while you are away. HiddenEye is a simple app with no frills that will photograph the person when they try to unlock your phone. You can set it to sound alarm when a user tries to unlock your phone without your knowledge.
Now you can see who is trying to use your phone while you are away. Once you unlock your phone, you will be shown the photographs of the people who tried unlocking your phone in your absence. Sounds interesting ! Try it and let us know if you have any suggestion to improve it further.
Worried that your phone does not have front camera. With HiddenEye, now you can know the someone has tried to snoop into your phone. You can also set alarm if someone is trying to unlock your phone with wrong password. If you have a front camera, then you can see who tried unlocking your phone.

You guys seen their new website? Much, much better! I actually like how it looks now. Check it out.
For those who don't know, not that there's many who don't, it's a site where you can get ringtones/wallpapers/etc. for your phone 100% free, no catch, no bs.
www.zedge.com
Can you tell me what is the point of visiting their website? If I want to download a wallpaper or ringtone, I'll just use their app, why care about what their website looks like?
Because there might be people that rather have a bookmarked site over an app
What do you mean? I still don't see the point of bookmarking or visiting their site.

is easier if you install their App from Market
then you can pick sounds / wallpapers directly from it, and sets it into the system settings
Yeah for sure the app is a really handy one. Use it all the time when i get bored, and there are no new roms to try out.

Completely agree, thanks for the post. I would much rather use my laptop to find what I want to download before I spend 2 hours searching the mobile app for it. Not all of us have blazing fast 4g!
I had a look at their website, you guys are right. It is much easier to browse through the website, however one thing I find strange, how come on their website they don't separate ringtone from notification sound?

Exactly! In the time it takes to view 1 page of wallpapers on the app you can view 4 on the website.

I'd imagine because on most phones it doesnt matter. I remember back when I had my Moto E816 I could only use certain file types for a ringtone/notification/alarm/etc., now you can use pretty much whatever you want.

They should add a remote install feature to the website, obviously requiring you to have the Zedge app installed on your phone. That would make it really worthwhile using the site over the app.
I do agree that the site is better for browsing, but the app sets things for you. We want the best of both worlds.

You mean something like the Market where you pick something you want to d/l and instead of downloading on your pc it automatically d/l's to your phone? That would be sweet!

Yes mate - exactly that and yes, it would be awesome. Google would be doing a great thing if they included something like authenticated remote installation in the Android framework. That would get used so much!

What to check before purchasing NOTE without warranty.

Hi everyone,
Just a quick query. Need your feedback on it.
I recently ordered Galaxy Note and got “Made in China” make of it, twice. Obviously I mentioned in my order not delivering me the china make, rather I requested for a Korean one. Anyhow, this isn’t the problem. The thing is, now I am getting a Korean make, and as its without warranty, I will only get to check the phone at the shop before paying him. Once I paid and left the shop, the shopkeeper will not be responsible for any damage or manufacturing fault etc.
Therefore, I need you guys to help me know “what” to check when I go buy SGN and “How”?
Would appreciate your response.
Everything?
Umm.. the camera, video recording, headphone jack, check the screen properly.. if possible, download something like dead pixel from market when you're checking and see if there are any dead pixels.. the USB cables and request him if you could connect it to the computer to see if the computer can read the note.. check the About screen in Settings, make sure it's on stock firmware and not rooted either..
Edit: Even the battery.. but I don't know "how" to check it..
I mean I don't have any idea really. Just these few things came up in my mind.. You sure buying it?
I have a Chinese made note with warranty

Helpful. One thing I didn't get.. How can we check in setting if it has rooted earlier or not? If the current ROM is stock ROM?
And also, what's with this Dead Pixel application? I couldnt find it on youtube.
Thank u both for guiding!

Check for SuperUser app in the app drawer, if not, if possible, download Root Checker from the market and just run it..

Get rid of custom lock pad on reboot

This is what I use to get rid of the custom lock pad sign from the bootloader when you reboot. Some people got it after they rooted and disabled some apps like me. It's in wanam xposed. Below is a pic to show where it is. It works very well. It takes a couple reboots after you enable it for it to take effect. But after that I have not seen it come back at all. Just wanted to share my findings with others. Hopefully it helps others who may have been looking for the same solution.

It's good to know, but a flash of the SM-G900A firmware from here on XDA, minus the BL bootloader file, gets rid of that anyway. It's not that big of a deal whether it's there or not, unless you're taking the phone in for warranty service.

No one said it was a big deal or not. It's sharing of information that is what xda is all about. And since there is no other post in our forum about it, this is why I shared. Has nothing to do with what way is better or being a big deal.

It's always the same thing every time a new Samsung phone comes out. Maybe I can save some people some time and tell you each phone can and will show the custom lock icon at different times no matter what you do. In other words, if you do something that stops it from showing on your phone, there is absolutely NO guarantee that the same method will stop it from showing on someone else's phone. The scan that selects if the custom status or unlock icon is shown or not occurs on each individual phone at the time of boot. Therefore, depending on the current state of each phone, it might show or not show. The only real way to stop it from showing is through a mod (located in the AT&T S4 section) that actually modifies system files. X-posed modules just cover the icon, so the appearance is just graphical. It works for most (though it isn't truly changing anything), but for some it still doesn't. AGAIN. JUST BECAUSE SOMETHING WORKS ON YOUR PHONE,DOES NOT MEAN IT WILL WORK ON OTHERS...it just might.
glad it worked

This forum isn't just about you. Posts like yours FAIL to mention that it might not work for everyone trying it so people that it doesn't work for are left wondering what they did wrong. When in fact, they have done nothing wrong. Mentioning what works for you is great, but stop getting so offensive when someone adds more information or states that your solution might not work for everyone. You should be welcoming the addition of useful information instead of acting like "nothing was brought to YOUR thread" because you didn't know about it or mention it. A little research about X-posed and SysScope should be done by anyone wanting to permanently get rid of the custom lock icon.
Not only did I mention that X-posed might not work for some, but I also mentioned a permanent modification to get rid of the custom icon instead of just covering it up with X-posed modules. Now how exactly did my paragraph have nothing to do with this topic?

Thread is closed at the request of the OP.
XDA appreciates all who share knowledge of things that work, and things that only work for some. With all the different devices and multitudes of "add-ons", what works for some people, might not work for others.

LG Please know we hate this. Let us turn this annoying feature off

This right here pisses me off
Sick of this damn call timer when trying to use other apps during a call.
Although that there isnt the main reason why I'm getting rid of this phone, I'll go ahead and add it to the ever growing list of reasons why I'm dumping it and getting a Nexus 6. Screw LG and their locked down pile of garbage. Sad thing is, it's so much wasted potential.
I love it when a new device comes out, and XDA becomes riddled with whiney posts about "this" or "that" which users say they 'hate' or 'can't stand'. Okay, so there's no publicized root method yet, deemed safe for consumerism, but once that's released I'm sure that every little quarky nuance will have a method to remove, hide, or alter in some way. The call timer has an option for hiding in the LG G3 via G3 Tweaksbox. With that example, I stand confident that this phone will have some type of similarities to, as I mentioned, "deal" with the things people complain about. Fact is, this phone is not impressively different from the G3, and there are no real profoundly engineered improvements made in the G4. You may ask, "Apex, y u bye did fone den?" Good question. My answer is this, I like LG's products and I appreciate the work developers are able to do, in order to make something good, great. So, in the meamtime, until root is available, you won't hear me having a hissy fit about (insert whatever) things. Samsung isn't for me, HTC is bunk, Motorola, well... been there, done that. I think most folks would respect those complaints be made on Reddit, or somewhere besides the place that developers afford us the grace of enjoying what they do for the community, free of charge.

Because clicking a check box to unlock the bootloader is so hard. Root takes time on all modern devices.
Hahaha... Now root being available, I've installed debloated ROM and 3000mah battery serves me really well. Not to mention boost in speed as well. On stock ROM, I was missing my nexus 5 so much.
I hope you stuck around for a little longer. Feels like beasty phone just got injected with the steroid.

Agreed....I was fed up with this phone.....root came and glory glory amen it's a better phone. Even with just a simple debloated ROM....can't wait till they really tweak the stock ROM like crazy. I probably won't go aosp....because of the camera app...whole reason I bought the phone...it deletes the side car RAW file in the default gallery aosp can't do that...neither can manual camera app or Fv5

I'm not sure if you figured it out, but since we have root, you can download app ops from play store. Go to the phone section and disable draw on top. It will stop the timer. And so far I have not noticed anything wrong.

Seems like a really silly reason to get rid of an otherwise awesome phone...
What's funny is that the current root methods as dangerous as they are. Are no more dangerous then when I had my Evo4g, and that team didn't have something like "OEM Unlock" to make it easier. No risk, no reward.
Not to mention that you can drag that icon anywhere on the screen so i dont see how it can be so intrucive during other app usage. Also why dont you just talk on the phone, your on a call, pay attention and stop playing with other apps, real easy

full immersive mode yet?

Hey guys.
Is there a full immersive mode for the S10 available yet? I still can't find one but maybe someone has another idea or way to achieve it by now?
After one that doesn't stick a black bar at the top like systemUI tuner ect.
Cheers in advance.
I take it no one has figured it out yet?

yes that one... but look at it like some quick fix or proof of concept! because it's not system wide you need to clone and maintain that app from there on, some apps simply can't be cloned.
It's so sad no one else found another better method then mine... Since we even have root now some developer could maybe take a look at app cloner's method of achieving this and just reverse engineere that part.

BIG BIG UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GUYS I FINALLY FOUND A WAY!!!!!!!!! :victory::victory::victory::victory::victory:
I'm so ****ING EXCITED!!!!!! I Finally found a way!!!! This was so important to me you can't imagine! I asked so many people for help themer's and developer but everyone ignored me.... I was the one who found the App Cloner method and was doing fine with it... my most used apps where cloneable and I just used them and never update them and everything was fine for the most part. I'm was constantly having an eye on these threads regarding immersive mode, and today after a new comment I looked at this thread and got really upset realising possibly no one ever going to find a fix for this. But this also started a fire under my ass so I started again using my brain meats to tackle this problem. And this time I got it.
I found a way to enable systemwide full immersive mode and it's glorious beautiful everything and more
I will post a guide in a few days explaining on how to achieve full immersive mode and how to resolve a "issue" that arises on devices like the S10/S10+/S10e which have the Punch Hole to the right. Note 10 and Note 10+ users should be fine. But the trick I'm gonna show is maybe not know to everyone and is helpful to you regardless if you end up using full immersive mode or not.
You need to be rooted with Magisk in order for it to work.
I also wanna correct my first sentence
Where there's a will, there's a way
LOL, you might have mentioned at the beginning that your "fix" needed root. It would save a lot of people a from reading a long unhelpful post.
