Which Snapdragon SoC in Note? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note

Anyone know what exact SoC the T-Mobile Galaxy Note uses? If not, could someone do 'getprop' in a terminal and let me know what ro.board.platform and ril.modem.board values are? What I want to know is if it's got the MSM8660, MSM8260a or the MSM8960.
Thanks!

[ro.board.platform]: [msm8660]
Interestingly, I can't find ril.modem.board. Should I be looking for something else?

Nope, that's great, thanks. I was hoping that maybe they had put a newer chip into this Note, but they haven't.

Curious

I was just wondering since i cant find a vid that shows the gpu/hardware info, does everyone's hardware/gpu info display as "Tegra 2 Development system"?
Is mine special? or did they just not come up with a better shorter display name for the gpu?
No one confirm we all have this? you just check in device info on some apps like antutu cpu master and a few others also check this.
Yes we have this.. And then? What is your purpose/issue about that? That's how Nvidia hardcoded the name in the chipset that doesn't mean anything else.

[Q] Ocean Waves Recoding for ICS

Hi does anyone have the original Ocean Wave LWP for the Galaxy S that has been upgraded to work on ICS? If not is there anyone who can possibly do it or someone who can give me instructions to do it? I can't code to save my life lol.
I tried to install the original one but it does not work on ICS so I'm guessing it's a compatibility issue with the OS.
I really want that LWP for my phone and I'm sure many other people would like it as well.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

[Q] Which Modem?

Can anybody tell me whether the T-mobile S6 uses the Qualcomm MDM9635 (Like Sprint) or the Shannon 333 modem (version in the Chipworks teardown)?
Thanks!

I believe it's the Shannon 333 on the TMO S6 (and AT&T also)

Couple things: First is simply personal preference and fear of the unknown. Historically, Qualcomm has had the best performance on US LTE bands. The second is a second order effect: While QCOM has their own integrated GNSS, the Samsung modem does not and uses Broadcom. I've seen extensive testing of the BRCM chip and its raw performance is horrific at times (blocks off, not meters). QCOM's GNSS solution is far more robust.

Fortnite: No Epic option for Graphic Setting?

Hi Guys,
Good Day to You,
Just wondering, have anyone of u installed Fortnite and cant seems to adjust the graphic to Epic at the graphic option?
Using note 9 Exynos 9810 version btw. Thanks
I'm in the same boat. Running the note 9 128gb exynos version.
Is this a exynos chip problem? If it is I'm going to send the phone back.

Almost certain we will get root eventually, just no idea when or if there trying yet.
I'm from Europe, but I would like the snapdragon version...
As I read here, the snap version could be difficult to un-lock. I hope not..
Exynos all the way s10e

+ Radio FM, better cpu temp, more battery autonomy, Gcam porting, MAYBE dual frequency GNSS...
Dont see any dual frequency in my findings.

You cannot root the snapdragon variant phones. Sorry, I take that back. You can root them but it breaks Knox, Samsung Pay, and a bunch of other stuff. It trips some sort of fuse.

Isn't that the same as exynos? None of that works and knox is tripped when rooted in exynos too.

Buy the Razer Phone 2. Right now it's cheaper than any of its competition and it has root. The Galaxy S10 is a pretty good phone now that I've had an opportunity to use it for games that won't run on rooted and unlocked devices (like Fate/GO)
Someone already got TWRP to boot on Exynos S10, this phone is too popular to not get root(Exynos bootloader unlocked models). It is a matter of time, I'd say within next few weeks one of the smart devs here will have root and within a month or two Magisk support as well.

I haven't tried because I haven't received my phone yet... And I'm waiting for an S10+, not S10. But it looks like the steps would be exactly the same. HELL YEAH! I was hoping really bad people would be working on the Chinese SD version! I wanna know if someone has tried it, too!

Exactly, please do not use these, they are fake and will not work. It even mentions Supersu for root, I know chainfire future proofed to some level but not this far and that will definitely not work.
Come on guys be patient, they are working on it, it's only a matter of time...:good:

The dev behind Magisk got an S10 already so I'd guess it shouldn't be long for Magisk to support the phones. And if TWRP is already sort of available I'd imagine we'll have root im worse case scenario at the end of April.
