AOKP is an awesome custom Android firmware. (just like MIUI and CyanogenMod).
AOKP is based on AOSP and looks as vanilla as possible, and focusses on lots and lots of user-friendly features. What makes it different from CM is that there are many more user-customizable features.
KANGXPERIAPROJECT
This ROM is a combined work of all members of KangXperiaProject.
AOKP is not officially supported on any of the Xperia smartphones. So we made a Kang XperiaProject team comprising
Supervenom , Championswimmer, Pikpok, mikegapinski
We maintain sources from which we build (not winzip porting) AOKP for all the Xperias.
We are not any great developers (all teenagers). We are just trying to provide users with more ROM options
Our work is not possible without using sources from FreeXperiaProject.
Changes to the UI / framework / functionality of the ROM is the work of Team Kang
Changelog is released with every official build here ---> http://aokp.co
Changes specific to Xperia devices are maintianed by us here

Boots the ROM?
@Dev, a post that a new Version is up where great

yeah right
sorry... but the response i got from build 1 was not that encouraging (yes i admit i didn't boot, but i did it blindly without a device and hence people should have been more considerate... anyways i will keep AOKP for XPeria Pro updated with the latest build always)
umm guys!!
build 2 is up for download

Thanks for your Work I mean what i say > Thanks!
Will test it

I think mechmetal should jion with KXP team to enhance the process of making AOKP-JB ROM for Arc, his helpful AIO fix for AOKP Milestone 6 make me come back to AOKP again, and it really really makes the ROM fly, I do belive he can help make this JB ROM fly too.
Thanks mate, but still i have long way to go...will always help when possible .

Hmm, the Xperia T is NOT on the list of the supported devices yet but "mint" is the name of the Xperia T?
If yes, is the aokp port for the xt jellybean or ics-based?
I still have one and I am very interested in this.

as you see right now we are using the cm tree directly as such... we will need to at least fork the blue-common and kernel to suit our needs...

The Rom boots and works to the same extent as CM. right now I am strapped for time but I will help maintain the tree when I can.
Just away to send you an email.
Can I ask that you please clearly state in the OP that this work is untested by you as you don't have this device and that users may potentially have issues. This is just to cover your own back really. As I see tilal6991 will be getting involved who has the device and that's great but for the time being it's still correct that you are releasing an untested build. You'll notice on maxio's ROM thread he had to add the same which I asked him to do.
Thanks

but if it deems suitable, you might move this to original Dev ???

Thanks for doing that :good:
I'm quite lucky in that case coming from the Galaxy S2 which was the original device to get it trialled on. Check out the Introducing Original Development Forums post which gives a good breakdown of what is to be put in each section. Something like official CM10 would class as original development or Paranoid Android from the PA team. Kang's unfortunately do not class as original development unless you build this from the ground up. Hopefully you'll get what I mean from the portal post I've included
Thanks again

mine is not 'just a kang' to be honest....
it is not a straight forward compile from preexisting source.. but things had to be fixed to compile the CM10 trees with the AOKP source
the name is KangXperiaProject to rezound with the fact that we are the only, although yet unofficial, maintainers of AOKP (Android Open KANG Project) for the whole Xperia line of products.
but anyways, let's get this device forum more populated and both I and you can make better calls on originality
for now, even i feel it's better off not be in orginal dev.

If you dont want me to i wont bother.,...
And I am gutted I wont be able to try it, thats becuase I am at work and dont have much time to read the thread properly
As per my request in the other thread can you please state whether this is or isn't tested by yourself so people know first as from what I saw in the CM10 thread you've just used the tx repo which hasn't been confirmed working I don't believe. Until you or a team member has either device you need to leave the message in both threads.
Thanks

those are bugs imo
neither me nor fxp team nor anyone from cm team has TX so it'll be hard to fix such problems

i guess these bugs are probably kernel related.. i will go back to stock for now i guess :crying:
is the recovery page suppose to be upside down here too?
The whole ROM is upside down for me. I have a working "right side up" recovery, but the ROM still shows upside down. Thoughts?
Have a look in sensors.conf in system/etc? Could be something there

could someone add this line in the build.prop
ro.sf.hwrotation=180
and report back if it works ??
(it's Kali-'s idea... so kudos to him if it works )

Oh I see this issue I've seen in Dark Passion ROM for TX, the recovery and the whole ROM after flashing is inverted, upside down! The developers are saying maybe I have downloaded the wrong file but I tried it 3 times still the same result.
How to add this line? ro.sf.hwrotation=180
Thanks.

Our work is not possible without using sources from FreeXperiaProject, and CyanogenMod project.
Changes to the UI / framework / functionality of the ROM is the work of Team Kang
Changelog is released with every official build here ---> http://aokp.co
Changes specific to Xperia devices are maintianed by us here

GAPPS download

Copy ROM zip and Gapps to sdcard
If coming from stock, flash kernel that has recovery using fastboot (not needed if you have recovery) [ you can use the boot.img inside the zip. this kernel has recovery]
Boot phone, go into recovery (press vol-up(2012) or back(2011) when led is purple)
IF COMING FROM SOME OTHER ROM, make factory wipe then go into mounts/storage and format system (not needed if updating AOKP)
install zip from sd card then flash gapps if you want them (kernel is flashed automatically with zip for 2012 models, for 2011, fastboot flash the kernel)
reboot and enjoy

edit2:i can take some random reboots during holidays, but not to be without wifi
waiting for wifi fix
Looking forward to testing this out in January when my new phone arrives!

1 q, the twrp kernel you posted in ray section, possibility of integrating twrp in other kernels, will it work for V too?
i am releasing TWRP on V soon.. in a few days
Thanks so much for the ROM! Trying it out...
tested since yesterday, wifi working now, will test more intense today, but i have lot of random reboots, do i need format system before installing?
did the usual things: wipe system, cache, dalvik... rom is fast
thanks for your work
Edit: phone is rebooting randomly very often, it happens regardless what i´m doing with the phone will try to re-install and format system before
Edit 2: not possible to connect sd card through usb to pc, same in recovery, reboot to recovery does not work, formating system does not change random reboot problem
back to stock for a while

Re: [AOKP][JB] Xperia V - KangXperiaProject - [Milestone1 - R2]
1 question. When do you plan on releasing an update? I'm not asking for ETA but when. Like once a month etc.
Sent from your backyard...
Slender watches what you do...
now that again is asking for ETA only
well see the thing is, i am trying to decide whether to provide an update here or straightaway release 4.2
4.2 can be released but i need to redownload all the sources, and set up the environment
on the other hand on 4.1 i am still working on the camera,
there will certainly be something within 2-3 weeks

i'd prefer 4.1 but with working camera and external sd. but if u can do the same with 4.2 - it'll be better.

OK, for the Eternity Ril fans i have created a flashable zip with it (taken from Paranoid Droid), but this is ONLY for the carbon 20140610 Version. it contains the recompiled telephony-common stuff, wich is (sadly) only for this Version. for the next Versions i have to update it. Have fun with it

I think this is best 4.4.2 KK for our device, great job! ;D
P. S. Didn't try 4.4.3 yet, anybody can report about new build?
Working great I think Screen on time is minimal shorter, but it seems to be OK as well. Also the ROM features were the same as on 4.4.2

I see u worte it is for this verion only but just want to make it clear.Thank you.
Just flash the rom zip again and you are on the standard one
Downloaded it two times and tried to flash it two times and both times I got error unable to install (error 4) using CWM. I am talking about ril zip.
