[BOOT ANIMATION] Xperia T & Cosmic Flow Boot Animation [HD & qHD] - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

Note: This is for XHDPI/HD and qHD devices. For HDPI/FWVGA devices, go to this thread. For MDPI/HVGA devices go to this thread.
UPDATE: Xperia T official boot animation added (XHDPI/HD only)! Look at attachments, remove the " - Xperia T" from the name of the zip and place in system/media. Change permissions as outlined below.
This is a custom boot animation I made based off the Xperia intro of this video by Sony promoting their Xperia Tablet S. It's kinda like a cosmic flow animation:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxoVXM-yS8M
The zip file attached is not a flashable zip. Place the zip file in system/media and change the permissions accordingly:

If you would like to use my custom made Cosmic Flow Boot Animation in your ROM or theme please give me credit and link this thread. You don't need to credit me for the Xperia T boot animation.

DdcCabuslay said:
Note: The difference between this and my original thread in the arc forums is the resolution of the boot animation. This is 720 x 1280, meant for the Xperia S, Acro S, ion etc. Owners for non-HD Xperias should visit the arc thread to get the boot animation to fit their screen.

It's kinda like a cosmic flow animation. The Xperia Tablet S has a similar boot animation from what I've seen, but until a system dump comes, there won't be a port for it until then.

Looks cool Ill check it out.

Nice, but it reaches a moment the boot animation simply stops and stay like that until the phone finishes booting.

Odd, it should loop infinitely. I looked at the zip file and the desc.txt file is fine. I'm not sure why it isn't looping

I wonder if its because of the size of the zip file. 10 mb is fairly big.
Try the lower res one on the arc thread and report if you don't mind.

Black spaces ob both sides (due different resolution), smaller Xperia Logo (I kinda like it more this way, the Cosmic Flow can keep the original size, 720p size), but it works without problems.

Ok cool.
What I'll try tomorrow if I can is a 20 frame version instead of a 30 frame for the HD. Maybe reducing the number of images to play might help. (The original Xperia S boot animation is 20 frames, in comparison)
If all else fails I guess I might have to drop it to a painfully choppy 12 frames, but we'll see how things go tomorrow. Hopefully not.

Try these. I made a 20 frames and 24 frames version. Hopefully one of these we'll work smoothly.
Make sure you remove the -## from the file name before putting it in system/media. These aren't flashable zips.
If these fail I have one more idea before going into super choppy 12 frames, but I'll try it another day.

Bionic Custom Boot Logos & Boot Animations

I have put up a website specifically for the bionic and have posted all the boot logos I've created and tons of boot animations I have ported over. I am still working on the site so bits and pieces are not yet complete, but all dl links are up. I will still be checking this thread but using it primarily for requests. but please, check out the site and let me know what you think...

Second thing I was wondering if you might be able to point me in the right direction to start laying with this a little on my own? If not its all good but I am hoping to start playing around more now that I have the D3 and a little spare time.

If you're using photoshop....
Make your image 540x540
Save it as a raw photoshop pic (.RAW)
Find the file, rightclick it, get rid of the extension and make the extension .img
From that format, you can put it into the boot logos folder in the TBH area of sd-ext and load it onto your phone through the TBH app

I do use Photoshop as tivo has listed. I ensure that the image is exactly 256 pixels in height, and no more than 540 pixels wide (width won't matter, just can't be over 540). I then change the canvas size to 540x540 for a final image size of 540x540. And you can change the .raw extension to .img when saving the file in Photoshop so you don't have to manually do it after the fact. And yes, I will have pics and a few more boot logos up shortly.

The tbh app will provide the latest leaks for your device. For the bionic and Droid 3 it will also provide a link to the p3droid toolbox after purchase. The app provides a reboot menu, bloat/drbloat menu, install 10% meter, boot options, customize fonts, themes, wallpapers, and utilities. If you're interested, check it out here:

It's says bionic is not supported but it definitely is. Once you complete the purchase you get sent an email with download link. In the tbh app you will have links to get the p3Droid bionic toolbox, which is what you will use to change the boot logo, and links to rsd lite 5.5 and moto drivers. Unfortunately jrummy's ROM manager will not do the trick.

I saw the boot animation and I'm sorry but it sucks. its some lines going in a some kind of swirl. Are the dev's getting lazy on creating something great? I mean, I saw some screen shots of the so called "jelly bean" and the icons are still the same as ICS, which by the way SUCKS. the whole Metro icons would have been better with ICS. the icons on the ICS does not match the UI.
Well thats my thoughts on that. Super HD ambled? where?

ICS is heavier than GB(and im not just saying this, because Sony cancelled our update for Xperia Play). IMO JB will be what ICS should have been from beginning with better FPS, smoothness, & stability for gaming & HD video. ICS is already nice to look at so new icons would be like "fixing something that ain't broken".

And I get a FC :/ I think what I need is mod my phone.apk to make it compatible with those densities but I have no idea how to do it :/ help ?

It depends. 160 dpi is what we have. If you change it to 140 your icons and pngs will look smaller and your screen bigger. When you put it in 120 dpi it looks like a tablet. And you get more space in your screen (5x5 instead of 4x4). I get annoyed by 160 because is too big for my taste

Thank you for redirecting me here. I've downloaded both the 2560x1600 and the 1280x800, the first one laggs a bit, the second one is fine but you can see all the square were the bootanimation is over and the "screen starts". I'm not sure if you know what I mean, but if you do, can this get solved? Thanks!

Thank you, you are who created them, they look amazing, the effect is really nice :highfive: My only concern is that the nexus 10 boots too fast and I can't see the bootanimation for more seconds haha.
Thanks for the share...

Great suggestion...I can set it to loop for a specific amount of loops...like have it loop 5 or 6 times before it finishes booting.

Sure, no worries!
Edit: The 2560x1600 one still laggs a bit, but not on the start. 1280x800 one looks outstanding and no laggs Thank you.

I'm loving the 2560 x 1600 on my nexus 10. My only complaint is that it cycles 4 or 5 times and then I have to sit with a black screen while it finishes to boot. Is there anyway to have cycle for the entire boot time. I don't know anything about how these animations work. Thanks!

I'll check again but I don't remember this happening to me, maybe for only 1 second before the system loads my wallpaper.

Wow...that's odd...usually with these new devices I get the opposite. I get that the device boots too fast and they don't get enough of the animation... Tonight I'll make a version of this for you that will just loop until it finishes booting. We'll try that out and see if it works better for you
The fix is really easy if you are willing to try it. I'm just gonna change a value in the desc.txt file in the bootanimation.zip. Right now it says:
2560 1600 24
p 7 0 part0
Just change the 7 to 0.
