[Q] some questions about the Xperia T - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

hello guys, i currently own iPhone 4 as my primary phone, i have used it for one year and i satisfy with it
i'm thinking to upgrade my iPhone 4 to Xperia T and i want to ask a few question about it
1. can Xperia T able to play mkv file with 720p res and hard subbed? most of my films (anime) has hard sub, back then i tried it on Htc Evo 3D and it's laggy as hell
2. is there any HDMI port? or how i can connect it to my HDTV?
3. is Xperia T has mass storage mode when connecting to pc?
4. any problem if i unlock the bootloader? if warranty void can i get it back with relock?
5. any shop which sell this phone and can shipping worldwide especially to indonesia? unfortunately, sony indonesia confirmed that Xperia T available at 2013 and can't wait it till then
thanks before

1. yes (used dice player)
2. yes via adapter
3. MTP mode by default
4. as with all manufacturers, it might be void
5. don't know

3. Yes it does have a mass storage mode buried in the Settings (it is in the Xperia section).
It does warn you that only the SD card will be available via mass storage when you turn it on. Not sure if this means internal SD, external SD or both as I haven't needed to try it.

I watched some James Bond 720mkv, 'hard' subtitled, room temperature and there was no lag.. some people experience thermal throttle while playing games and watching HD movies, but I haven't yet.
Hopefully, will not .

Regarding 720p video playback there is no lag. Watched few 1080p movies via dlna on wi-fi tv, very smooth playback.

Nexus 7 tv out?

Do they sell an Hdmi cable that is compatible with this tab so I can connect it to my tv?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Last I read, the Nexus 7 didn't have MHL capabilities.
I believe this function was going to be added through the use of Nexus Q & Google TV systems. However that's officially on the back burner.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Have a look at the video in this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1874757
I am not sure if u can stream via hdmi fom nexus to TV, but if it is possible this is the cable u would need.
HDMI to Micro Type D
Not mhl compatible, but maybe a future dock will have that.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
the future dock would still require the tablet to be mhl capable, therefore no, there is no and will be no way to directly plug the tablet into a television, what there is hope for is streaming via a nexus q device.
Hey folks, I'm new here. Have been lurking a bit.
I've been bugging Nexus support staff about features/upcoming features.. as I'd expected, they're pretty hush-hush
One guy even fibbed to me, saying that a USB OTG cable and peripherals such as keyboard, mouse, usb drives.. will not work with the Nexus, even if I unlock it. Maybe he just didn't know any better.
Anyhow, I love this little device, but the lack of tv-out in the form of display mirroring is flat-out pissing me off.
I'm not experienced with coding for android devices by any means, but I did have an idea. (If Nvidia doesn't certify Nexus 7 for Miracast sometime in the near future.. it IS a tegra 3 device, so I'm hoping they do. It may be the solution to our problem.)
...This idea could be too fantastic to be a realistic possibility, but I thought it was worth a share..
What if an apk could "trick" the protocol for displaying video via wifi on droid devices?
What if the receiver could detect the incoming signal as a video file, and the app on the device could trick the nexus (or other non-MHL droid device) into treating the screen display as a video file?
Since the latency between displaying video on the Nexus and displaying it on a television via wifi isn't bad (from what I know), it COULD be practical enough for gaming, if it were done correctly.
TL;DR, the app would screen-capture the display, and send it to a receiver as if it were a compatible video file.
Am I just speaking fantasy-talk? Is this feasible? Thoughts?
The tegra3 has wifi streaming similar to apples airplay. The receivers just aren't out yet. Reading up that tmobiles SGIII will have a premium pack with some kind of aircard device that streams video over wifi for $99.
I think we are also waiting on Dlink. You can already do this with a rasberryPi for a good DYI solution.
I'm waiting for someone to make a box and a roku channel that captures streams on the network.

The german translation is honest: you need an MHL-Device to use this adapter. As we know the nexus 7 isn't configured with one. It won't work.

Audio for the car

Hey guys!
So before owning an xperia z, i had the galaxy note (great phone) and i'd run my music through an AUX cable so it would come out through the car speakers (i ain't got blue-tooth in the care).
Now since I've got the xperia z, its becoming a hassle to open and close the flaps every time. So i wanna know if there is a device out there that's can act as a bridge? Xperia > device (via blue-tooth) >AUX cable > Car.
preferably the device should be small, no bigger then a pc mouse.
So yeah, if any has any info or something that's similar or better please share:fingers-crossed:
like you, i'm waiting for this
http://www.sonymobile.com/it/products/accessories/stereo-bluetooth-headset-sbh20/
There are other ones already sold in Sony Mobile but they are more expensive
Personally have been using this one.
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/products/accessories/mw600/
Works great. Essentially the same thing as previously mentioned. Just go for whichever is cheaper.

That's exactly what i'm talking about! Be perfect for my car!!
I actually had a different model of the MW600... but i've lost it... would of been perfect! Damn!
I'm using this in my car: http://www.avantalk.com/products02.php?id=62
It's working great to stream music from the XZ. Works also with Youtube, Digitally Imported, ...
u can use another smartphone with google music and connect it to your car
Something like this?
http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10827&cs_id=1082704&p_id=7364&seq=1&format=2
Or upgrade your headunit to one with integrated Bluetooth.
Some of the adapters (like the one above) do have some issues with automatic connection/reconnection when the car powers on... But that's the general type of device you're looking for, search around and check reviews.

I have the MW600 (came with my wife´s SonyEricsson phone some years ago), and works perfectly apart from it does not work with the micro USB charger cable attached.
You need to charge it, then disconnect it from the charger to use it. Would be perfect if would work with the charger cable in and would power on with the charger plugged in (read, ignition on).

MHL / HDMI output lag

Hello all!
I am xperia z user from 2 weeks now, and I am pretty satisfied with the phone in general. One thing bothers me too much lately. The video output is very show, skipping frames. I tried using lg full hd tv and sony 720p tv. Tried both a noname mhl cable and hama mhl (1080p certified ) cables. Rebooted phone, reset, stopped apps and services. The video from samsung s2 is perfect, no lag with these adapters. Games are played awesome. The z phone has to be much powerful, because of the faster hardware, but doubling fullhd screen seems to overwhelm it. Even the menu is laggy, gallery is laggy and frustrating. Video plays almost normally (1080p), but sometimes skips frames. When games are played, especially modern ones (nfs shift, real racing 3) the phone gets very laggy and hot and runs at maybe 5-15 frames per second.
Have You tried Mhl adapters? Have You experienced these issues?
My firmware is .350, havent got official upgrade yet.
Do You think it might be a hardware problem with my specific phone, or it is just a software glitch, which I hope Sony will iron out?
Thanks for any advice and help in advance!
I used the mhl adapter I had for the s2 and worked with a very slight lag which is tolerable for me, I guess it could work better with mhl 2 made for s3.

Xperia Z does not work with the MHL cables made for the SGS3, which are 11 pin MHL. The Xperia Z has 5 pin MHL which is compatible with the MHL adapters from SGS2 or from the first Galaxy Note.
I also have lag on 1.434 firmware, it is tolerable for me also, movie playback is perfectly fine. Maybe Sony inproved this from 1.350. I hope they fully fix this on the next firmware.
re
I tried on another xperia z - same issues, same lag, same software version. I hope .434 firmware will fix this.

Universal or official MHL

Hi!
So I have a question that's bugging me out is it possible to just buy a universal MHL-adapter(non samsung ones) or does it have to be Sony's official one?
The price difference is pretty big and there is no clear difference on the products.
The universal ones costs about 20$ while the official one costs 50$.

Just got one, working fine so far.
However I am not liking one bug, if you put your phone in sleep mode while connected and then turns it on sometimes the phone will be superslow and I mean superslow 5sec delay between everything.
Remote controls does not work either anymore(used to work with my XS) - not a big loss but still

I think there is a service menu dial *#*#7378423#*#* on the phone key pad.
This should allow you to test many functions.
There's a theory that early manufactured devices have a touch screen issue - when flat or when charging responsiveness is wrong.
As far as I can tell the issue with c5302 is that the Play store doesn't properly recognise it and it's possible you won't be able to install some games (I suppose this might be a regional licencing issue?)
Apart from that all the usual stuff - people sometimes try and sell water damaged phones second hand that have 95% functionality - so make sure it can make calls, connect to data, connect to wifi, that the internal SD is recognised by the phone and by a PC you connect it to and that it accepts external SD cards and also recognises them.
hi iam using my xperia sp two months right now, facing touch screen problem as said above, and also overheating problem. pls check this two points. everything else ok, this two things make me very irritating and angry, in my point of view this two you must be check first.
c5306
I have 2 weeks with my SP (c5306), it came with a very old firmware (12.0.A.1.234) but it hasn't the two issues you mention (flat surface issue and overheating (42C max with heavy gaming), although it does have a lot of issues regarding WiFi drops and bipolar WiFi Direct connectivity.
How do i check the screen touch problem ?
