Google Pay Account - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi i got 1 question, how many devices that 1 google play email account can handle? I first registered my google play account using my old galaxy s2. I sold my galaxy s2 and brought Galaxy note + galaxy tab 10.1. My galaxy s2 still appear in my google play account so i had to deactived coz i'm no longer using it. I'm planning to sell my galaxy note and my tab 10.1 and buy galaxy note 2 and galaxy note 10.1. Is there any restrictions for me to be able to download any apps that i purchased using my old devices with the same shared email account?

if you are using the same account on which u have purchased. it should be ok provided it is compatible with ur current phone

If that so i'm no longer worried. Because 1 of my friend told me, it only can support up to 5 devices per email account.

I don't think so.
But if it is true, i think shld be 5 active devices.
But where ur friend get that number from?
Sent from my GT-N7000 at the corner of this rounded earth.

i dunno about that i already have 6.. but only 2 is active devices

Ya. I just heard abt the 5 thing.
But if it is true, shld be counting the active one, since we wont hold more than 5 active devices to carry evryday.

5.. after the note i can barely hold another one

Google and Samsung are teaming up for a 10inch nexus tab (:

Rumor is that the new tablet will be out around December. I knew google couldn't be pleased with Asus after all the quality issues with the n7.
I'm excited and will be in line to buy the next generation google tab!
Question. What does everyone think about this upcoming tab?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
I don't think this is the place for this
Sent from my HTC One XL using Tapatalk 2
10inch is a terrible form factor for a daily driver tablet. It's good for business applications in an office setting etc but for a casual user, tech nerd like me etc it sucks. I have the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and before I got the Nexus 7 I would grab my phone 90% of the time over the Tab because it was just awkward to use it in a productive manner.
Now that I own a Nexus 7 my phone gets ignored as I reach my my Nexus 7 90% of the time because it is godly. My Tab 10.1 just sits in the corner now.. It's forever alone Tablet..

Gizmodo: What It's Like to Have a Nexus 7 As a Phone

http://m.gizmodo.com/5973469/what-its-like-to-have-a-nexus-7-as-a-phone
An idea I've been kicking around for a couple months now. I finally accepted that I won't ever own a computer or laptop. I despise my Note 2, the only thing keeping me on it is LTE, obviously the 7 lacks. But a larger screen is something I keep wanting more and more. The only other problem is the worrying dependency on GV in order to make it work.
Very nice article.
I don't think the Nexus 7 will fit in my pockets, and also, Google Voice isn't free in my country and isn't really supported, so I prefer my regular Galaxy Ace for the outside, and the Nexus 7 for the inside .
I use mine as a wifi phone with the groove IP app, when my phone goes dead.

Is there any way to enable the call button in the maps?
I have asked this in another thread but no one could answer.

Petition to Otterbox to make cases for us

Attention Nexus 4 owners:
Can everyone please sign this petition to Otterbox. We need enough signatures so Otterbox will take notice that we Nexus 4 owners want them to make cases for our phone. Thanks. A pal of mine has been running around xda to get members to sign. Hopefully we can get enough folks. :fingers-crossed:

The petition has been around since the beginning of the Nexus 4 shipments. If they aren't here by now, they never will. Many loyal Otterboxers have already fled and given up.
Just buy a Ballistic case. Otterbox blows.
Seriously dude buy a ballistic case and give up otterbox. If they wanna make it they will. But nexus 4 has been overshadowed by galaxy s3, s4, HTC one, galaxy note 2. No ones thinking of the nexus 4. And with the way phones are released every couple of months, another iphone, another galaxy note and another nexus, they're looking towards those

Another option would be the Seidio cases

Anyone waiting for nexus 5 while skipping N4, Sony Z, HTC one, S4 and anything else i

Taking about GN being a great phone with great Dev support. I am finding my self skipping two generations of android phone with out any regrets, namely s3 now to be s4, and nexus 4.

Let's wait for my phone to break, don't have the money to keep buying new phones.
If KLP lags on the gnex, i'm going back to ICS..
Me waiting for the next Nexus too. Currently I don't want to change, because I am more than happy with that

seriously? ICS was laggy as hell.
It depends on a screen size (and free funds to spend of course ). If the screen size is 5" or bigger I will consider N4 of HTC One.

I am, however will depend if it comes to sprint. Have a great employee discount can't switch carriers

Probably going to switch to the one this summer.
Really liking the design of that phone. The s4 just seems way too big for me and I would rather have a longer phone than a wider phone

My upgrade is in September so I still have some time to go. If Google comes out with a vastly improved nexus without a recycled design from another device. By vastly improved I'm talking about Camera quality, LTE, full HD screen and battery life. Sure I'll go for the nexus 5 but if they don't improve all those than I'm going to contemplate jumping ship.

Hmmmm...Nexus 5. If you'll note, the current nexus lineup are all named according to the display size. For Google to add a 4th nexus device to the lineup is unlikely (to much to manage), so the best guess is a refresh of the nexus 4, possibly by another manufacturer, and probably later in the year. What we can expect for I/O is a refresh on the nexus 7 (with the same name), and possibly a non-nexus device from Motorola that runs stock Android.

I think we could expect a new phone as well. Considering that key lime pie is a major update, there is bound to be new features for phones not just tablets. So they will be probably need another device to show off the new features of the new build. I'm doubting they will use a nexus 4 as a demo device, its already fairly old news.

Yea but they first launched jellybean on the gnex when it was already 8 months old at the time instead of bringing out a new phone to launch jellybean with.

I am upgrading from an S4 to the S5 unless somehow Samsung manages to drastically screw up the S5.

Seems more appropriate to say "moving" to s5.. since it's not out n all. Also.. it's a new phone, that's reason enough lol. I've never understood how people can keep the same phone for 2 years. Ugg.... I sell mine and buy something different ever 3 or 4 months. And I always get the latest flagship from HTC or samsung. Simply because it's the latest flahship.

If you sell your phone while it still has value, and you got it on an upgrade offer, you can make enough to support a new phone every few months

I am coming from my Galaxy Nexus that I have had for almost 2 years, I still love my nexus but am due for an upgrade since november and have been holding out for the S5 as long as it isn't completely screwed up
I will be coming from an S2 running Shostock 3. I really do not need a new phone as mine is working perfectly, but I waited out the S3 and the S4 so I figured with this new Jump program from At&T I would look into the S5. But as much as I want it, if the price is not right for me I will keep my old reliable and wait a little longer
From Note 3, please! please!! please!!! Samsung, Blow me away! I need 64bit and fingerprint scanner at the least to shut up those pesky iDevices users.

I can not change my phone every 6 months.. this is stupidy..
So in my case I would every 6 months reconfigure all my 17 e-mail accounts, all my google drive settings, skype, gchat, teamviewer, all 300 apps, all TW settings, all my phone book and contacts settings..
to do this every 6 months is really stupid.. every 3 years, ok.. i can take 3 days to do it..

Why would you have to "reconfigure" anything? As soon as you sign into your Google account on a new phone all contacts and settings are synced, emails are setup and all is well.
Do you not use Google to setup your contact lists and emails? If you really do have 17 email accounts, you can have Google manage them. All emails will go to your primary gmail account, when you respond to an email that came from one of those accounts, it will automatically use the address it was sent to as the outgoing address. People who correspond with you will have no idea you responded from your primary address.
When I get a new phone, I sign in to my Google account and within a few minutes,
Other than having new hardware, it's identical to the old phone. Sometimes smart phones need "smart" users.
Troll score 3/10
