I wonder if anybody has gotten Six Guns to work on kfhd. Market states the device is incompatible and I downloaded the game via google and the Gameloft launcher just says Not compatible with your device Please request a refund. I know compatibility checks can be removed. It's a sweet game and I have already have it on my evo 4g.
I know there's a device id hack that's floating around here somewheres. That should fix it, there's a whole thread on it I think
Well to add on to a previous thread I made in q&a called kindle device id boo boo I managed to get into a boot loop again buy purchasing device spoof by scheff and changing to nexus s which most app are highly compatible with. This will be the 5 loop from changing my id so there must be another way. There is a post about using apk tool and decompiling the apk and changing some text around so the apk doesn't check or something but that is a lot of work. I want something to work as a global work and not just for one apk

UPDATE: Gameloft has published the Kindle Fire Edition of this game. And it is SICK

I downloaded it directly from gameloft .... anyway it needed little trick...
I downloaded Dungeon Hunter 3 and in there I clicked on another games from gameloft .. and voila there were some games which wasn't published on kindle market and on google market it wrote that it isn't compatible ....
AND IT WORKED

Gameloft has a buy one get this week. Just got sipder-man and got nova free. Spider-man and Nova have also been added to the gameloft xoom support list as well.

that is nice, but even so until they drastically change their policies regarding costumer rights and let them install their rightfully buyed games any time and into their current and future devices (specially thos forum's users, who reinstall their devices a lot and test bleeding edge stuff...), there's no point giving them any money...

So tried the 2 for 1 code...got my games which had to be sideloaded? (how does one get updates??)
Went to play Nova and it crashed! Second game wouldnt even load, said I didnt have permission for this game?
I would steer away for now...it may just be a 3.1 compatibility issue...but still.

You download the apk which can be installed at all time on the device, and yes i do think the 3.1 update broke something with the game. I didn't have problems before the update.
same crash issue with me on stock wifi xoom 3.1 both nova and Spiderman force close

they have another proprietary drm system that links your purchase with the device you installed the apk. lots of users upgraded their phones nd could not install the game they purchased on the new devices... just beware.

This company has its head so far up its own butt, I wouldn't buy anything from them ever again. I had a horrible experience, got a refund. Don't buy!

I just wanted to let you all know that order and chaos hd is available thru gamelofts mobile site. Of course you have to tell the system your using the lg g2x optimus star dop. I bought it last night. If youre in the games club its $2.99 otherwise its $4.99. I downloaded it on my streak last night. It has a right at 700 meg download so you might wanna be on wifi. I played last night and it downloaded all my created characters and money and game progress. So if you play on another device you dont havta start all over. It ran pretty good with a few graphical hiccups every now and then. But other than that, it was just the same as my other devices I play on. Feel free to add me on gameloft live, daniel3334. No mods at all. My streak is stock 2.2.2 of course it is rooted.but when you go to gamelofts mobile site it will say no games for your device. Look at bottom of the screen and it will say your device Dell Streak 7. Click on that. Then it will take you to a screen with all device manufacturers list. You wanna click LG, next screen scroll way down until you see LG OPTIMUS G2X P990 STAR DOP. When you click that link it then should take you to that phones list of games. Like I said at start, I dont use any mods. I use the games stock virtual joysticks. Every game on the list for the LG P990 OPTIMUS G2X STAR DOP from Gameloft I have purchased,except for shrek. And they all work for me using stock virtual joysticks from the game. The touch controls and virtual joysticks are great on this game, and many more from Gameloft! Just make sure you are clicking on the phone name I gave you. If you click on wrong phone model, then the game may not work period!! Also ive found thru playing that these games work best on wifi. When I didnt use wifi, the games acted crazy. If you have any more questions or need help feel free to leave a post or pm here on XDA. My ds7 is running the 3.2. I played OaC on it with no issues before updating the game to 1.0.4. it just force closes after I launch it. Anyone know a fix?
Well i had order and chaos working on my dell streak 7 rooted and has the hack honeycomb runing on it, but gameloft did a up date monday for the game, now my cracked copy of the game doesnt work very upseting, it load and the says to download update, i do and update and it crashes :-(

I have purchased the game using the instructions above. I updated the game via the direct download provided via the apk directing me to the GL website, the game downloaded and installed correctly.
Now getting network errors when attempting to download the updated content, tried rebooting, rinsing, repeating, reinstalling several times..... keeps failing any hints anywhere??
Bought the game through the marketplace how. Can I get this to my streak with out re purchasing it I'm not paying for it again any ideas sent them a email waiting to hear back

Will that copy work on my moto x2 running eclipse?
Hello, I created an account so I could post in this thread as I really want to play the game. I have a Dell Streak 7 Android v3.2 and was wondering how I can buy this game and if it will work with my version? It isn't in the Play Store and I do see it on the Gameloft site. What is the exact procedure as of today, May 11th 2012, that I need to following to buy and subscribe to this game?

Ok I followed your instructions and told the Gameloft site that I was an LG P990 Optimus 2x (Star Dop) and it allowed me to download and install the first part. When I go to run it I get the Gameloft splash screen then the Order and Chaos HD screen where it wants to download the game but it gives me a "A problem occured and the download could not be completed successfully. Do you want to restart the download? An unstable network may cause problems when downloading." I am given a YES and NO option and I keep hitting yes and it attempts something for a split second then keeps coming up with the same error.
What can I do to fix this? I am running 3.2 Honeycomb on my Dell Streak 7.
I really want to play this game and will do whatever I need to to get it to work on my Dell Streak 7. I have never rooted my Streak or used a alternate ROM but I will if it means I can play this game.
Please tell me what I need to do to be able to play this game on my Dell Streak 7.

my driod tells me its stopped running when its checking my license, and force closes..:good::good: i paid for the game, i tried contacting gameloft but i was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem

I have my LG Optimus 2X running with CyanogenMod 7 and I am perfectly happy with my device. A few days ago I wanted to buy Madden NFL 12. I did not find it in the Market. So I went to the NFL Homepage and clicked "buy now". Then the market opened and said that the game is not available in my country. I used the Market Enabler to fake my provider to Verizon. After that the Market gave me a message that this game is not compatible with my device. I also tried to mess around with the LCD Density but that did not help. After some further research it seems that the game is not compatible with the Tegra 2 platform at all! I really can't imagine that this game won't run on my LG Optimus 2x. So my question is: Is there maybe a way to get it running on my device? Maybe a modification in the build.prop? I have no idea why the game should not be compatible with the Optimus 2x.

Using a bastardized version of Topogigi, it shows up fine in the market here, and I get to the point where I can click "Accept & Buy" (which I'm not going to do.)
Two alternatives I guess.
Download topogigi and compare the build.prop with yours.
or
Install another ROM, download and install, backup with TB, go back to CM and restore.

I used adb push to place the build.prop of the mentioned ROM to the CM7 Nightly I am currently running. After the reboot there was no connection to my carrier but the wireless LAN worked. It also showed Madden NFL 12 in the Market. I could buy, download, install AND play it! Nice. I switched back to the original build.prop and the game still works.
Again, thanks for the hint with the ROM. I'll have a closer look at the build.prop files at the weekend. Hopefully I find the difference that causes this.
This "method" should work with the 9mm game right? Because I'm running stock G2x and it says incompatible with device.. and I mean, come on, you know? I really don't know what other rom would be compatible because I don't like any of rom in that section, all buggy and all.. cm too.. I mean, stop with the nightlies and release stuff that work.. since there's a team with individual devices, let them be the "nightly" testers.. that's why stock and rooted is always the best.. anyways, sorry.. carried on out of nowhere..

I have been hitting a roadblock with trying to get 9mm to run on my touchpad.
So far I have been working from the instructions here:

There is a copy on XDA as well but they both do the same thing. Normally I get all pink/red textures. Using the instructions I get all black/white textures.
According to everything I can find the setup listed "should" work, but it does not for me. I think I am missing some steps, but trying to search for "9mm" does not come up with much.
I see mention about getting the Tegra version of the game but nobody says how to do this. I assume it has to do with an edit to build.prop but so far the exact edit is something I cannot find.

I have the same issues. I was able to get rid of the pink and actually get the correct graphics. The game starts to go black after the intro though. I wonder if getting the full version of chainfire would help. Any suggestions?

I am running the full version and have had no luck at all. For me I get black textures for everything on the Nvidia plugin. Pink for every other setting.
I have seen it listed as working but so far nobody will actually post how they got it to work.
At least I only invested .99 . Not a huge loss if I cant get it running.
Ok, I got a bit closer last night in getting this running. I can now watch the opening movie without any texture distortion but after that the game locks up. Sound still plays fine.
Oddly my live wallpaper also starts crashing, making me wonder if I am hitting a memory cap. I do run V6 supercharger so I can make adjustments to the limits.
What I did, and it is based on posts linked in the original thread and some serious expiramentation.
1 - Delete the 9MM game folder from /sdcard/gamelof/ I believe it has the letters 9MM in it.
2 - Change your build.prop. Model: PG86100 Brand: Sprint
3 - Reboot
4 - Start 9MM. let it download the files, mine were about 800MB
5 - Restore you build.prop . This will vary depending on your rom.
6 - Another reboot
Like I said this starts to play for me then locks up. I have not played much with all the plugins and drivers in Chainfire3D so the solution may be in there someplace. This may also not be the best way to get it running...but so far it is the closest I can get

I haven't tried it for this game, but I am familiar with jumping through hoops to get Gameloft games to work.
Basically what you would need to do is to pick a popular Tegra 2 device that Gameloft supports and Google for the build.prop of that devices. If you're not sure which devices are Tegra 2 check wikipedia and if you aren't sure which devices Gameloft supports check their site, but in general they like the big mobile carriers like Samsung, HTC and Motorola but ignore others like Asus, so don't pick the Transformer build.prop.
In this case I would say go for the Xoom build.prop edits and I did Google Xoom and 9mm and verified people with the Xoom are saying it works on their device.
In this case, a Google search for Xoom build.prop should bring up some useful results. Having done that the relevant edits you want will be:
ro.product.model=
ro.product.brand=
ro.product.name=
ro.product.device=
In the case of the Xoom you would want the following edits:
ro.product.model=Xoom
ro.product.brand=verizon
ro.product.name=trygon
ro.product.device=stingray
The other thing you will want to do is use Chainfire set to the Tegra 2.
The build.props should get you the Tegra data and then Chainfire should (hopefully) translate it run properly.
Again, I haven't tried all this but I have done similar edits for other Gameloft games.

sorry this is a little old does this still work for you?? i downloaded the APK file installed it on my android tablet cause my kid loves this app and when it starts up it says you do not own this app. would you like to see more then says quite or see details takes me to amazon app store for android and says this is not compatable any help would be great thank you.

Yes it works.
I am running this on a Motorola Xoom (Not rooted)
You do have to have the Amazon Appstore installed (i installed it prior to installing the RR app)
With the Amazon Appstore installed, I was even able to purchace a 6month subscription. The free version is limited to something like 5 books.
My 5 year old uses it about twice a week.
