[Q] SHV-E210S Korean Galaxy S3 LTE network problem - Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Q&A, Help &

When I am changing the IMS Settings, I found that there is a server which provides user credentials to customer. Any SKTelecom user know how it works because I need this to build my own web server for my own SIP server in order to make the phone can go to LTE automatically? Or any other method.
Meanwhile, is it possible to fake the phone as roaming when I am not roaming?

you are in the wrong place this is for GT-I9305 4G not Korean version there is a thread in the i9300 general section which is for the Korean s3 thanks

[Q] m110s EDGE problem

hi guys
there is a problem need u help
I brought a m110s I9k's Kroean version
It said that it support to work in edge network
but whatever any roms ,there is only G!
i want to konw why?!!!!
and how to slove it
THX!
that sounds like an area reception problem
G (GPRS) and 2G (EDGE) they both run on the international quad band 850/900/1900/2100
I'm a little confused, you have 3g working but you'd rather have edge? 3g is the faster network and possibly the stronger signal, so your phone would prefer to connect to that network. If you are using an older firmware you can play around with the secret codes found here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=721111&highlight=Secret+codes
best code for you to check out would probably be *#*#4636#*#* however Samsung removed or broke these codes 1 or 2 firmware updates ago. Also, you can look into the wireless and network settings and go to the bottom and turn off 3g. Please note that the phone and/or some carriers might not allow data over 2g, I know my carrier doesn't and this phone is designed to be optimized for SKT.
Please let me know if I'm confused about your question and i'll try to rephrase If I can better help you.

thanks 4 u answer,but my operator——China Mobile is support another 3G,TD-SCDMA,so i can‘t use wcdma。and CM is supply edge,so i don’t why,maybe samsung block it。
I was confused because I thought you were connected to "G" (I thought you saw a "G" on your notification bar). Have you tried to disable "3G", this might be able to force you onto an edge network, I don't think it'll work, but it's worth a try if the code I mentioned doesn't work.
Go to settings > wireless & network > 3G data call settings > select "no"

even if you managed to change the settings to EDGE, it wont work
if GPRS is the fastest service provided by the cell phone network
last time i was visiting Cuba, their fastest network wsa only GPRS

I didn't see this post from you, you can access settings I can't so we are probably on different FW versions DONT UPDATE:
Try these codes to see if you can update the band

Doesn't china use different gsm networks?
I am having problems with internet all together. I have the Anycall Korean Samsung Galaxy S shw-m110s but I live in the United States and use AT&T but cannot seem to get the internet to work. I entered the correct APN settings but cannot even get an EDGE signal. Anyone have any ideas?
Can any one help to transplant baseband from i9000 to m110s?
Because EDGE is so important for China Mobile. It is hard to afford WCDMA. Thanks!

Show in mobile network search 2G and 3G networks

Hallo,
I have CyanogenMod 9.0.0RC2 on my Galaxy S and I also have an Sony Xperia Arc S with 4.0.4 and there when you Search for available networks it shows all Operator names and a symbol 2G and 3G. So if a provider has 2G and 3G it is shown twice. Where can I set this option? It must be possible somehow, otherwise Sony coulnd't have done it. It would be great if this is also possible with Android 2.3 as this is the official firmware from Samsung.
Thanks for your help.

hey
it is only possible in a few devices only...like iPhone and sony etc...this is not available in Galaxy S...
instead it decides automaticlly...based on how you select the connection...
Thanks:good:

Thanks for your reply. My primary aim is not to directly choose the network but to see which networks are available. Of course this is also possible with Galaxy S but there I have to scan twice. Once with the option "WCDMA only" and the second with "GSM only".
So this feature seems not to be from android but from hardware driver of the phone. Is this statement correct?
???
Here is a Screenshot that you see what I mean. The "special" about this type of network search is that it shows 2G and 3G networks seperately. And I want that feature for Galaxy S.

samsung ativ s questions

hi does anyone have a Samsung ativ s and is on at&t? I have some questions
is the ativ S able to access the 4G LTE bands that at&t has? I had to manually put in the internet and mms apn settings and it only says 4g, which is fine but im curious.
has anyone been able to use internet sharing on their ativ s? although the feature is selectable I instantly get rejected saying there is no cellular data connection to share when in fact there is, could this just be at&t blocking this? its too bad I can't go into the registry like my htc titan and reenable it
The Ativ S doesn't support AT&T's main LTE band so LTE will not work on it. I've heard you can download the Samsung APN app from the Market and change your APN to get tethering to work.
I have done this over in the wpcentral ativ s forums I followed the directions and did it over and over again with the apn app and was unsuccessful and the guy who says he knows how to do it is almost impossible to reach ?
Sent from my SGH-T899M using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
FYI (highlighted somewhat by noelito's post) there are two variants of the ATIV S and they have different features, including different cellular band support. Be explicit about which one you are referencing when you ask a question about anything in the hardware/radio much deeper than "what does it look like?" or "does it have NFC"? ("Shiny variant of the GS3 with a Windows logo on the Home button", and "yes", respectively).

Note 8 Korean version problems

Hello everyone,
My friend brought me a Galaxy Note 8 from Korea (SM-N950N) and I'm facing some issues using it in Brazil.
1) My carrier - VIVO - used to work with 4G conection in this very same SIM Card. However, I got only 3G with my Note 8.
Importante info: the seller had the phone carrier-unlocked before selling it. This phone was not new from the box. Someone had used with Korean carrier.
2) Is there a way to know if I'm using any different ROM from stock?
Should I root and flash any other ROM for local use in Brazil?
Any guidance is of great help!
Thank you very much.
You would have to check that your Service Provider uses the same LTE bands that is support on the N950N. As not all LTE bands are support for use on the N950N.
According to frequencycheck.com at this link the SM-N950N should support all the 4G bands. Did you make sure and enter the correct APN settings in Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names? Do you have LTE/3G/2G (auto connect) selected in Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks? You should check those settings first.

Looking for android users to provide APN info.

In effort to use the Spectrum Mobile carrier on my samsung SM-N950U1, I picked up a sim using the IMEI of a "compatible" iphone I had laying around. I am not a fan of the Iphone and want to use this sim in my note as opposed to spending too much money on the note 9 through the Spectrum site. I know the network bands that Verizon use are compatible with this version of the note. When inserting the sim in the note after having activated it on the Iphone, it shows I have signal but does not allow and data services. It also does not show as registered on any network for longer then a few seconds.
Through settings using an APN I captured from the Iphone (APN settings blocked through traditional routes so I have limited information) I found two APNs Charterrslrvzwentp and vzwadmin . having ported both to my note, I get the flash of registered on Spectrum then nothing.
I am looking for a note 9 user on spectrum mobile or any user that can pull their full APN info and share it here. Hopefully that's all I need to get this device working on their network. I know they plan on expanding older devices to their network but I do not know when.
Thank you for the help.
