[Q] NFC there or not ?

I just bought a S3 alpha and i checked the specs on many pages and according to the page its supposed to have NFC and a temperature sensor (might be the battery one) but my phone seems to not have NFC which is weird....right?
Any ideas, or did i just misunderstand it all and no SC-03E has NFC or....?
Im running ProBAM KitKat and the NFC option is there but it doesnt turn on...and running a sensor app shows no NFC ...... im a little confused ?

I don't think that model is covered by this I9305 forum as its a different phone ..
If it has NFC then the NFC apk is in root system/apps

[Q] SmartLock NFC doesn't work on Sprint One M7 with CM12.1?

Hi everybody,
I'm trying to unlock my phone with a NFC tag. Unfortunately, it seems not to work. I can detect the tag on the "Trusted device", and also nfc tools. But it cannot be detected on the lockscreen. I'm using a Sprint M7 with a CM12.1 Rom. Anyone have any ideas or just have a try?

I am on cm12.1 on Note 2 and this has never worked for me.

Why is my Note8 cannot read NFC tag but the other android phone can?

After enable NFC in my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and touch the NFC RFID card (13.56 MHz), my phone gives a message "Tag may be restricted". However, when I use other NFC enable Android phone, it reads and displays information just fine. I really need your help as I'm using this phone specifically for writing and reading NFC RFID card in identifying/updating trees information. TQ.

Some Note 8s have been experiencing issues related to NFC. Can you check if MST in Samsung Pay or wireless charging works?

I'm able to successfully read and write nfc cards for my amiibos

I have the same issue I can't read NFC tags but s5 it can. Any idea??????

This maybe a stupid question.
I recently migrated from an Galaxy S8 to an Xz1 Compact.
Galaxy S8 had an function that i could keep my fingerprint stored in the phone even without secure unlock activated. So it was possibel to use the fingerprint sensor in other apps.
Is that possible in XZ1C?

Unfortunately not, every time you disable the fingerprint login the print is erased.

s5 active g870a NFC issue (nfc doesn't work)

Hello, I have an unlocked G870A S5 active updated to android 6.0.1 last release. I cannot use the NFC, it's doesn't recognise any nfc tag even if it's powered on. any possible action to solve this issue ?

Hi Phil. Check your battery. The S5 Active's NFC technology is in the battery. If you have a replacement battery or an OEM battery that doesn't support NFC, it won't work.
The original Samsung battery says "Near Field Communication" right below the Samsung logo.
