[Unsecure Kernel][11/24][SCH-I705] VZW GTab 2 7.0" LTE - G3 or J1 base! - Galaxy Tab 2 7" Android Development

Here is an unsecure boot.img that grants ADB as root and allows remount.
This is for a matching kernel if you follow this thread to root: [ROOT][SCH-I705] Verizon Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 LTE debugfs & ODIN
And then this thread for bootloader unlock: [BOOTLOADER][SCH-I705] VZW Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 LTE bootloader UNLOCKED!
Then this thread for Recovery: [RECOVERY][SCH-I705] Unofficial CWM 6.0.1.2 for VZW G Tab 2 7.0
I have also attached the J1 base kernel as well. Its about 4 months new and seems to perform better IMHO.
MAKE A NANDROID BACK UP FIRST!
Thanks out to MrHyde03 and ezgoing2406
And make sure you thank MrHyde03 for all the work he did to get us this far!

I can... but i dont have a galaxy tab, so will need testers.
People do not seem to be so interested in Remics here i suppose.
I'm not sure its a good idea anymore. It seems a lot of cdma tabs internal memory is getting screwed up running a ics rom. As much as I would love to run a ics rom on my cdma tab, its just not worth taking the chance.

Building a nice modified/themed custom rom based off the stock gingerbread rom would be nice.

U guys have the same problems with JB?
Sadly i dont work with GB now.. Besides themeing takes a lot of time and effort. Dont have that much time these days.
Not sure about JB, us cdma tab owners got abandoned from JB. A pre-beta was made on rootzwiki but its been awhile since a update. I think he's busy doing other things. If you wanna give it a shot, go for it...

Wait.. I don't know much about galaxy tab and it's variants. I suppose P1000 is the international gsm model. Which are the rest?? And which of them are compatible with flashing P1000 roms?
Sent from my GT-I9003
Cdma tab is the sprint/verizon version, it goes by p1c on the cm 9 website. It doesn't use a sim card. The other models either use a sim or is wifi only.

[ROM] [RECOVERY] CWM Flashable Stock ROMs / Recovery [JOP40C] (11/21/12)

Stock CWM Packages for Nexus 4
I have created some stock ROMs and recoveries that are flashable through Clockworkmod or TWRP. These are taken straight from the Google factory image releases and packaged to be flashed. It can be useful if you want to go back to stock, but you don't have access to a computer at the moment for fastboot. Also, devs feel free to use this as your ROM base. Enjoy
Please note that I don't have my Nexus 4 yet, so please report any issues you may have and I will fix them immediately. Thanks.

Just Google it. I'm sorry, but you are probably not going to get a full answer for all this on XDA, and the more short answers you get the more questions you'll have. Do the research before you root your phone, it will prevent headaches, for you and everyone else.
Thank you so much for the stock recovery and stock ROM, this is exactly what I was looking for.
I am just curious, each time there is an update to the OS via Google, do you also plan on making a flashable zip version of the update as well. For example when 4.2.1 is released? Peace.

[QUESTION] AllianceROM for I9305

Hi All
So I was thinking of bringing ny rom to i9305 or s3 mini. You can read and see the features here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2037363
I wanted to know what the userbase is like for i9305 compared with S3 mini? Would there be plenty of people here who would want to try it?
Thanks
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
I must say i'm can wait for an AllianceROM for I9305, the userbase is bigger that on S3 mini the have nearly 6k posts and we have 14k+ and i see people that are buying i9305 now that the price is down (the ones that don't want to buy, or can't a S4), plus we have a 2Gb ram on the phone that will help in future.
In the end you decide but i thing that i9305 is the better option.
I would love to try it, sounds exiting.

Will bring the rom as soon as I reach that target.
