[Q] Voice cmd for apps? - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

One of the things I was really looking forward to when I purchased the S3 mini was the "say snooze and the alarm will snooze" feature, but unfortunately I can't find the Voice cmd for Apps option anywhere.
It's not in the Language and input menu from the settings screen, neither in the S Voice settings screen (nor is it mentioned in the manual). I see that some users were complaining about this when they upgraded their S3 to Jelly Bean, but most of them didn't know that it had been moved to the S Voice settings.
So, has anyone found where the Voice cmd for Apps menu is located? Has it been dropped in Jelly Bean? Was it not included for our phone?

Look under language and input maybe it's in text speech settings. There's download language setting.

Nope, the menu isn't present anywhere...
I also chose Samsung's solutions to all voice-related options (text-to-speech and so on), but it's still not present (neither in the Language and input, nor in the S Voice Settings).
Has anyone been able to set that up? Is that menu present on other S III Minis?

[Q] Missing keyboard microphone / speech recognition w/ Gingerbread.

I am missing my keyboard microphone and the ability to recognize speech. How does one go about adding this? Currently running Gingerbread CM7-Nightly 6 however I've had this problem before so I would like to know how to add it to any ROM that might not have it. Thanks in advance!
Did you install voice search with gapps? If so enable from options.
I installed voice search 2.1 and still no dice. It just FC when I try and open it. Also in options for voice there is only TTS options. Nothing as far as enabling google voice options. Not sure what to do next.

leaked XXLSA JB ROM issue

Hello,
A few days ago i installed this ROM, and after restoring my apps, and setting things up i got the next issue.
Whether i'm in the home screen, apps menu or widgets menu, every time i change pages, my Notes says "page x of y". Further more, if i have a folder in the apps menu and i open it, it says "folder open". And when it's closed: "folder closed". And as you can imagine, it's quite annoying.
Now, i have disabled (actually frezed with TB) talkback, disabled "speak password" (or wherever it is the english translation), and disabled scripts web (i had a similar issuer in ICS that i solved disabling this: when using the explorer or flipboard the note read me the content).
Also, i've digged in into all settings and i haven't been able to find how to stop this...
Do you have any idea of what's going on?
anyone?

Can't switch keyboard type.

Hi! All. anyone having this problem? When i'm in sms, whatsapp, LINE or any apps that allow keyboard to type, i can't switch the type if keyboard i want. I have the Xperia Int'l keyboard, the Xperia Chinese keyboard & google pinyin. I was using google pinyin but when i want to switch to Int'l keyboard or Xperia Chinese keyboard, it doesn't respond. I have another friend also having same issue.
When the keyboard is engaged, pull down notifications, click on the keyboard within the notifications, and change from there.

[Q] [solved] Google Keyboard - No Voice Input?

I recently got a HTC One and installed the Elegancia ROM. I noticed that the Google keyboard no longer shows a voice input key, though it's enabled in the settings. Does this feature work for anybody? If so, what ROM and Android version are you using? Thanks!
Edit: I found the problem. "Google Voice Input" is a separate IME that needs to be enabled in Settings->Language and Input.

Verizon s8 profanity filter question

I am on android 8.0 and that's when this issue started. I use the samsung keyboard and 2different text apps, textra and the Verizon message+ app and they both have the same issue. Whenever I try to type anything considered profanity using swype, it auto changes to something else I can physically click type ot but that takes to long. The filter is removed in Google voice settings but I don't see a filter setting for the keyboard. I also no longer can find the personal dictionary where you can add words. Wtf! ..i'm sick of them trying to tell me what I can text. Next thing you know it won't let you type anything negative about the government!
Would greatly appreciate some help guys.

Well... After some experimenting it appears that this is more of a keyboard issue than a phone/message app issue. If o switch from the default Samsung keyboard to say TouchPal keyboard it functions as expected...
