GoSms notification problem? - Motorola Droid 4

Hi, just got my d4 in the mail and I'm currently running the debloated ics rom and i actually love it. Motoblur got it right and htc sense is awfuuuuul. Anyway the problem im having is that i use google voice for text messaging. So i use the google voice integrator from the play store. What it does is route the google voice incoming messages to gosms or the stock text client. I get the messages just fine on gosms but i dont get any notifications.
I scoured the internet high and low for an answer but i cannot find a working solution. Its a minor problem that i can live with but i was hoping someone could give me some insight.
Thanks !

Google Voice SMS App?

Anyone know of any google SMS apps that use Google Voice? I'd love to get rid of my sms plan but the stock GV app is less then adequate to say the least.
I've love something as robust as Handcent but I'll settle for anything better then the stock app.

Google voice SMS messages through SMS app?

Is there an app that can have the SMS app receive the google voice messages and default to sending through GV? There are plugins for the iPhone that do this, but havent found anything for android that will do it. I hate using the official app for SMS... its slow and clunky!
Thanks.
I'm not aware of anything for Android, but I would love to know as well if there is.
In regard to Google Voice being slow and clunkly. It may be a little annoying to some to have to use a seperate application, but there are fixes to the slowness. Mine is just as fast as opening the stock sms window.
Voodoo Lagfix resovle the slow google voice app issue for me.
Google voice needs to be completely integrated into android. One should have the option of setting it as the default voicemail and sms client. One should also be able to apply themes.
I suspect the lack of mms support is 1 reason they haven't made it so.
As always, IMHO

google voice??? just sms app?

I am either blind, an idiot, or both. I want to use my g tablet with Google voice to look @ my SMS inbox and send SMS while on wifi. It would be nice to almost, if possible, send messages n a queue of sorts then once wifi is available have them sent. Bugatti this point it would just be nice to be able to use Google voice for SMS on this.
I already use GV for SMS on mine. Are you having trouble installing, or are your messages just not getting sent?
I am not having any issues with this running Vegan 5.1.
Would using the web version of google voice solve the issue for ya?
I already have google voice installed but it hangs up during the skip setting up voicemail part.. i choose i do not want to use google voice for making calls etc, and also tried all the other options as well so in case there was something weird about it not liking me choose do not use google voice for calls or what not.
do eother oneof you have a link to the GV app you installed where I could try that instead? I also am having a hard time finding in the market other apps as well. nother topic for another day.
I ran into the same thing when I was trying out Vegan. I never solved it myself since I decided to stick with Calkulin's ROM, but they seem to have figured it out in this thread:

Check this thread. I used the second DL from the guy's Dropbox/

[Request] Google Voice Integration / Widgets

I've been searching for the last week or so, and cannot find anything about replacing stock SMS app with Google Voice. All lockscreen widgets, unread counts, launchers, etc. use the stock SMS; is there a way to trick these things into using Google Voice instead? I use MMS maybe once every two months or so, but use Google Voice daily. I would love to be able to use some of the great lockscreens that are out there and have them show my unread GV messages/counts.
Sorry if this is confusing or dumb. I'm trying to go super minimal on my phone and this is the one part I always seem to have trouble figuring out.
Any comments, suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

[Q] Google Voice texts via native messaging. Does anyone know how to do it?

Does anyone know how to make the native messaging app send and receive SMS/MMS via Google Voice instead of using GV app?
I'm wondering if it's as simple as changing the messaging centre number to whatever it might be for GV. If so, what's the Google Voice message centre number?
*bump* Anyone? No idea? Help?
This is the only reason I haven't ported over to google voice, I don't like that app for texting at all. Even on ics its not great.
As far as I know you cannot but could be wrong, its been a bit since I researched that.

Exactly! I find the GV app to be no less than very clunky when used for SMS, hence my desire to use the native SMS for GV texts instead. That would be great!
