use keyborad and mouse with USB host Support - Other TouchPad Development

hi all. my HP TP can support usb host ?
i want to use keyboard and mouse usb. my android version is: cm-9-20121230-NIGHTLY-tenderloin

yes it supports USB Host, but you need something to power the Keyboard/Mouse (like a USB Hub)
Touchpad -> USB Cable -> Powered USB Hub -> Mouse/Keyboard

after that my mouse LED's is off and not work for me!!

You need a Y cable with 2 male USB ports and 1 female, 1 male goes to power source and the other in the OTG cable (from TP) and the female for Mouse/KB or what you are putting in, (easiest method)
Sent from my LT30p using xda premium

I'm using this cable ( http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B008PAW41U/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00 )
and this USB Hub ( http://www.amazon.de/LogiLink-4-Por...1_fkmr0_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1358473565&sr=8-2-fkmr0 )
This is working with:
Touchpad -> OTG Cable -> Hub (powered) -> Mouse

Hd2-Lapdock with keyboard, usb and dvi-out

I created a docking station for the hd2 with the following materials:
- cd dual case
- dtech solar usb hub
- mini key usb keyboard
- Kensington Universal Multi-Display Adapter
- multiple usb cables
You can connect two usb devices (usb-host only works in winmo and linux so far). Two usb ports are inside and always connected to keyboard and displaylink device. The dvi(vga)-video out function only works in hd2 linux with displaylink framebuffer installed. The 5V for usb host can be provided from external power source (usb in) or from internal battery. The internal battery (700 mAh) can power hd2 and usb devices for approximately 30 min (depends on usb devices). The internal battery can be charged over usb in. It can also be charged with solar cell but it takes forever (The actual purpose of the solar cell is to compensate self discharge).

hd2 with an external monitor is great...so kensington display adapter it s an external usb video card,so you can have dvi output. At wich resolution?
I think at least less than 1600*900 because when I set that resolution in xorg.conf xserver wont start. I tried several different lower resolutions and I got an image on second screen but image actually always looked the same as if resolution was unchanged. I think this is a bug. But hopkinskong is still working on the matter so we will know for sure when he releases the final version of hd2 slackware.

[Q] Need Help with USB OTG Cable please !!!

Hi all
I have samsung galaxy S i9000 and I have bought a chinese USB OTG adaptor that said on the cover it is for:
Samsung i9100/i9220/ Motorola Droid etc
Nokia C6/C3/C7/N8/X3/E7
it has a 5 pin as I think because I see 5 pins in the micro usb and the cable fits perfectly in micro usb of my mobile,
the picture of the cable is exactly similar to this

Now I'm on rooted stock version of GB 2.3.3 JPJV6 and I have installed the kernel of "USB Host mode driver for Samsung Galaxy S (i9000) "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1450298"
I am using OTG cable and the latest "USB Host Controller" app (Ver 0.44)
When the OTG cable is plugged in I am getting a message :
"root hub present, USB host mode is active" and I keep pressing on Refresh button but no matter what I am plugging in, I get nothing (can't detect the flash memory).
As far as I know this component does not need an extra power and it should work when plugged in into the OTG cable, and I know that the usb on my galaxy s can't give power to the thing that is connected unlike the galaxy S2.
What thing can I plug in, that don't need an external power source?
What else do I need to make the OTG cable work and read a flash memory or anything else?
Do I need a powered hub for everything or what please help !
Could any one help me
60 views and no one have the answer !
Because most people never use the host mode feature, myself included.

[Q] Using HDMI adapter and USB Hub at same time?

Hey guys, i was wondering if there is a way to connect our xz to tv trough hdmi and playing videos from hard drive at same time. I've got samsung hdmi adapter, wd elements hdd and xbox controller reciever. If I connect ac powered usb hub (with phone connected trough micro usb cable, my hdd and reciever plugged in) to hdmi adapter as power source, will this work? I know that usb hub has got power to feed 6 hdds
So please, every answer will be appreciated
Micro usb in USB hub, HDMI in power connector? HDMI will work only if you connect it directly to the phone. Can you draw what you mean?
EDIT: You can try on this way:

There will not be enough power, you need hub with ac adapter.

USB to Ethernet IC won't work if I pull out the ethernet cable

I know this is an off-topic, but I need some help on debugging the issue faced on USB to Ethernet design. Hope someone can help me! I have took reference form LAN9500Ai Development board().
Issue:- When Turn on the Power , USB to Ethernet work, and Three LED glow with one of them blinking. After that I removed the Ethernet cable and plug it back then it does not work. ( Sometimes All three LED light still glow even after removing the Ethernet Cable). My schematics is attached.
Schematics details:- D6,D7,D8 and D9 NOT mounted. R33 is Do not Mount Connector J2 comes form PC USB port ( PC USB 5V convert to 3.3V via regulator than 3.3V apply to connector j2) , See attached C2,C3,C4 and C5 Do not Mount.
Unsuccessful solution Tried 1. Mount C2,C3,C4 and C5 and No advantage 2. Remove R36 but no advantage
Successful solution Tried 1. Removed Connector J2 and reinsert then it Works, but again if i remove the Ethernet cord and reinsert it did not work. So every time after removing and reinserting cable i have to follow this
In Schematics IC U3 pin , (manual Reset) , i tried to reset the LAN 9500 chip using this pin , and Chip get reset and it works, but again if i remove the Ethernet cord and reinsert it did not work. So every time after removing and reinserting cable i have to follow this
Please suggest how to resolve this problem, since in hardware i do not have reset control in current PCB version,

Normally you only need to use the included OTG adapter. Connect it with your note 8 and connect a normal USB cable (USB to micro USB) with the device you want to charge. It should be automatically begin to charge the other device. Maybe you need to pull down the statusbar and tap the "android system charging" notification and tap it. Then it should open the menu you will see on my second screenshot. Select the last entry "charge connected device" and there you go. It should be charge the connected device
